There are various theories about Goriken.

I will talk about history that is not included in school textbooks.

Yes, what is today's topic?

Today's topic is the origin of the customs in Fukuoka.

Fukuoka's customs

Um, well, I live there.

There are unique customs that can only be found in Fukuoka, right?

For example, during the period of the Yamaboko, the Yamaboko...

The person carrying the mountain eats cucumbers.

That's right, it's because it resembles the sacred gate of Kushi Shrine.

It feels like you shouldn't eat it just because it looks similar.

Isn't it just Fukuoka Prefecture?

That's right, it's only the people involved with the Hakata Yamakasa in Fukuoka City rather than the entire Fukuoka Prefecture.

If you put it that way, for example during New Year's...

Fukuoka will bring the amberjack.

ああ

Ah.

Yes, yes, yes, yes.

That doesn't really exist much either, does it?

That's right.

The reason why I'm taking this is because it is a promotion fish, after all.

"Buri" refers to a type of fish.

From places like Hasumachi and the goats there.

It's considered auspicious.

The wife I received.

I like being a daughter-in-law.

I want to be a good wife.

You say that, don't you?

There is a phrase that means to take it with you.

Yes, yes.

When coming from other prefectures, being suddenly presented with a big piece of amberjack (buri) during New Year's can be quite surprising.

I don't even know how to handle it.

It’s really something when you look at it from the perspective of other prefectures.

If you think that other regions are the same and take it with you, it will lead to serious consequences.

Because there's something called confusion.

When you gather various things like that a little...

What else could it be, then?

It's included in the three abilities, right?

Ah, they'll say that, and everyone will join in and do it all at once.

When singing, this is only in Fukuoka, right?

"Usually, if it's Fukuoka, it's either one or two, or something other than Fukuoka."

Fukuoka will definitely join in, right?

Fukuoka Sanno will participate.

In other regions, it's like "one, two, three," or "generation of one."

Isn't it something like the world?

I wonder if there is such a thing.

It's hard to understand because San'nō is involved, isn't it?

I wonder why they say that.

由来

Origin

When you investigate this...

There are about two.

One is when singing.

三はい

Three, yes.

Ah, yes, yes, yes.

That means

"One, two, three, it's like I'm saying."

San'nou has become a part of it.

But originally

It's the same as saying "ready, set, go."

Sannou has entered.

せーの

Ready, set, go!

The origin of the phrase "that say so" is...

もともと

originally

"Come, festival gods!"

Eh?

That's the god of that festival, huh?

Welcome.

Festival Zen

The character for "festival" in "Omatsuri Zen."

That's right, that's right, that's right.

あの

Um...

Please lend your power to the festival's deity.

Come, gods of the festival.

The kanji that says.

Come to the festival.

Seiko (or success).

せーの

Ready, set, go!

へー

Oh, really?

What I mean is

Told in two ways.

It was a bit far to bring it, but...

It was far, but...

This is considerably abbreviated.

But the original origin is the voice of the festival.

Come, deity of that festival.

That is how Sanno became.

Well, that first...

Rather than to do it rhythmically,

I did it with the meaning of praying to God.

"Se-no" means...

It's the idea of the Spirit Bomb.

It's the thought of asking for power to be lent to me.

Please lend me the power of the festival gods.

It comes from "se-no".

という

That is.

If you say it like that

一世の

Yours truly.

せいも

"Seimo"

一世って

What is Issei?

What is it?

That's not from that era.

Huh, is that not the case?

That's not it.

It's not about everyone coming together for one life.

Not that.

うん

Yeah.

This is, um...

It's French, isn't it?

また

Again

No, really.

During the Meiji era

へー

Oh really?

Lifting that up.

うん

Yeah.

What's meant by "Issei" is...

It means to lift in French.

to raise

During the Meiji era, the Japanese Navy...

When we conducted joint exercises with the French Navy.

Pulling up the boat.

Where the command was used

ほう

Oh.

から

from

一世の

Issei's

へー

Oh really?

Like

This is a bit unrelated to Fukuoka, but...

そういう

That's how it is.

It was French.

へー

Oh really?

And

The meaning of "Sanno ga Haitte Iu no wa" is "What Sanno is saying."

その

That

才の神

God of talent

Love

へー

Huh.

What do you put on Kyushu's meat buns?

vinegar and soy sauce

Why?

Because it's delicious.

That's correct.

No, no.

確かに

Certainly.

But it's only Kyushu, isn't it?

That's right.

あれね

That thing, huh?

This is originally

It is said that Nagasaki Chinatown is the origin.

I'm coming from over there.

I was eating it with black vinegar in Tianjin.

当時

At that time.

It's just not in Japan.

What flowed in was eaten with soy sauce instead of black vinegar.

The inside of the meat bun.

へー

Oh really?

I’m from Nagasaki.

へー

Oh really?

Speaking of which, let me say this.

お正月

New Year

The one and only Fukuoka.

独特の

unique

Ozouni (a traditional Japanese New Year's soup)

違う

Different.

違う何

What is different?

お正月

New Year's Day

It's only natural to go to worship, but...

Ah

Three-way dance

Yes, yes, yes, yes.

Only Fukuoka.

I didn't know that.

I thought everywhere was open.

Hey.

No, just Fukuoka.

So there's only one other company.

That's generally it.

Only one company in Kumamoto.

Only one company.

へー

Oh really?

Well, generally speaking, yeah.

Dazaifu

函館

Hakodate

It seems like a classic that is unique to Miyagi.

Well, that's true.

There is such a course, isn't there?

But that's why it's better to come a lot.

It seems that luck is about to get better.

Hmm, hmm, hmm.

It seems that there is a limit to how many can rotate among the three.

There are a lot of different theories.

Eeeeeh!

ただ

However

When you investigate this,

Oh

I found something.

The origin is not Fukuoka.

Eh?

It's not Fukuoka.

The origin is different.

"Where are you from?"

Its origins date back to the Kamakura period.

ほう

Oh.

It's an event from the year 1181.

1181年

Year 1181

はい

Yes

1181 is not during the Kamakura period.

Maybe before that.

We learned that Kamakura originally started in 1192.

It's 1185 now, isn't it?

So, it's in Kamakura then.

Just a little bit closer to peace.

But Minamoto no Yoritomo.

There is a record of visiting Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu Shrine first on New Year's Day.

I hadn't really visited shrines during the New Year until then.

It is said that Minamoto no Yoritomo visited Tsurugaoka Hachimangu for the first prayer of the year on January 1, 1181.

There is a record.

A few years later, the same Yoshitomo.

They haven't explained what the flow is like.

Including the local deity and all.

It might have just been a series of subsequent events, though.

三社

Three companies

I'm defeated.

I was defeated.

I visited three places.

On New Year's Day a few years later.

はい

Yes

This is said to be the place where the tradition of visiting three shrines began.

へー

Oh, really?

A few years later, during the Edo period,

数年後

A few years later

A few years later, quite a bit.

For some reason, on New Year's, in the Kuroda domain.

The samurai of the Kuroda clan imitated it.

I visited the Sumiyoshi Hiyoshi Hakozaki Shrine.

へー

Oh really?

That was the beginning, and several years later...

Isn't a few years from now quite far away?

After the end of the war.

Well, I heard that Yoritomo said he was going first.

The first time that ordinary people started doing it was...

Well, that's why to the people from the past...

うん

Yeah.

You know, there was a campaign for Eel Day.
