JFN Special Life Time Audio 2022 ~My First Music~「14

It's a playlist for a 14-year-old.

I'm sorry, I started speaking on my own. This is Masaharu Fukuyama.

Today, you won't believe it, but I...

To a certain superstar and a certain senior person.

I have come in response to your call.

May I ask you to tell me your name, senpai?

This is my first time meeting you, Mr. Fukuyama.

Nice to meet you.

This is Eikichi Yazawa, nice to meet you.

Thank you, Yazawa-san.

Thank you very much for your cooperation.

It just became a topic that it's happening for the first time.

Actually, I had something like this happen.

Since this COVID-19 pandemic began

One day, suddenly, Yazawa said he wants to talk to Fukuyama.

Suddenly, that story came up.

That is true.

No, no, that's from now on.

去年

Last year

The year before last, is it?

Was it last year?

Another year has passed, hasn't it?

It's already passed, isn't it?

Those who are listening to this radio.

I wonder why that is.

It's one-sided on my part.

It's a story from a little while ago.

When it's my birthday

Our staff, you know.

It's called "Ryoma Den."

It's a bundle that contains four DVDs, right?

It's a total of 48 episodes of the taiga drama.

そう

That's right.

That thing, you know.

お前が

You.

ボス

Boss

Please look at this.

Give me a present.

So the reason you gave me a present is...

At that time, I still had no connection with Fukuyama-san at all.

We’ve never even spoken to each other.

So, I am somehow involved in something.

It's strange to say that any man in Japan gets hooked once, but...

Is it Sakamoto Ryoma who becomes obsessed?

I was in the middle of reading a book or doing something else.

So I am Sakamoto Ryoma.

Hmm, it's in there, but...

When it's inside.

Boss, this came as a birthday present.

パッと

Suddenly

Eh, Masaharu Fukuyama.

Ah, NHK isn't coming right now.

Hmm, thank you, thank you.

But honestly, in my feelings...

I'm not sure if I'm going to get in trouble for this, but...

Masaharu Fukuyama is just a bit too handsome.

As expected.

Tetsuya Takeda is still the best, after all.

It seems like Tetsuya-san has a better vibe after all, doesn't it?

Well, you know, it's just like an image or something.

Don't you think he's too much of a good man? That's something I have inside me.

もらって

Please give it to me.

確かに

Certainly.

I will definitely watch it.

iyiと思う

I think it's good.

I was counting on the details of the meaning.

I think I want to see my body.

Look at us.

I'll definitely watch it!

"I'm going to see it, I said."

Time really flies, doesn’t it?

One year later.

"It's been a year and a half."

Really, huh?

I'm going to get scolded by Fukuyama-san for this.

About two years.

It's just being displayed as is.

はい

Yes.

So, one day, I thought, "Oh, let's see." I just pulled it out and opened it up quickly, and wow, there are 4 sheets in there.

Let's get started with number one, so I quickly put in the DVD.

It starts from there in Kochi, Shikoku, from my childhood.

That's right.

That's right.

So, it started with a beep, and gradually went on, and then Mr. Fukuyama appeared.

It's fine, this is it.

When I realized this, it was like one thing after another, and I just can't help but get excited.

Then, you know, I realized that I absolutely had to be Masaharu Fukuyama.

I will play Sakamoto Ryoma.

I thought that Ryoma wouldn't fit anyone other than MasaharU Fukuyama.

So, it's already in the way you speak, the way you laugh, your feelings towards your friends, and so on.

Something.

The feeling of thinking about a friend, and a grand feeling.

I'm already totally hooked.

And you know, I'm perfectly a one-foo now.

One-off state.

I'm a fan.

You're a fan, aren't you?

This is a one-wheeled vehicle from Roppongi.

We say "one foot" in a 6-4 step.

So, I want to talk to Mr. Fukuyama once.

Did you really think that? No jokes.

That's right.

Well, despite how I look, I’m not really that...

I don't have many acquaintances in the industry.

Then our staff, no, the boss is from Amuse.

I know quite a bit about our house.

Is that so? Really?

Can you somehow help me to be able to talk to Mr. Fukuyama?

"Say that."

So, from Fukuyama's perspective,

Yazawa suddenly came and said he wanted to talk to Mr. Fukuyama for a bit, right?

That's right.

So, what's the request?

I'm not scared, Mr. Yazawa.

No, just a little more.

Of course, this oden studio, where today's oden studio is run by Mr. Yazawa, is where we're recording.

I have used the Oden Studio multiple times, and I have briefly had a chance to greet you before when we crossed paths.

That's all there was, so one day I suddenly heard that Yazawa-san wanted to talk to Fukuyama-san.

I think I did something.

What am I? Did I break some equipment or something in the oden studio?

I got scared.

No, no, no.

Then.

Well, the schedule is...

Anyway, you need to tell me what the boss wants to do.

They haven't told me the requirements at all; all they've said is that they just want to talk, so it's become a discussion about what to do about that.

Well, even though I don't recall anything, if I've done something wrong, I thought I had no choice but to apologize, which is why I answered the phone.

Then, Yazawa-san said, "No, Fukuyama-san, I'm really sorry for taking your time today."

Actually, you know what?

No, I've come to really love the Ryoma Den.

Well, that was great!

Thank you.

Well, I still remember that even now.

I’m not sure if Mr. Yazawa remembers, but right now, it's still the first half, and while watching it, I noticed something during the first half.

I really loved Sakamoto Ryoma, but now I'm a fan of Fukuyama.

What a wonderful thing!

I thought you were going to say that, and it made me really happy.

Well, and by the way, do you remember Mr. Fukuyama? At that time.

Well, during the filming, we felt like we were performing live, and all the actors, when we started filming, really felt like they were participating in a live performance, didn't we?

Japanese people don't do that.

That must be good, huh?

I think so.

It feels like I'm jabbing.

It feels like it's grooving.

It's truly like improvisation, almost as if it's a spontaneous performance, and that's exactly where that groove comes from.

It's all about the groove, right?

思います。

I think so.

Since it's me, all the actors appearing over there had their own unique personalities, didn't they?

That's right. So rather than just performing the play, it's about how to live during the Bakumatsu period, and the director, Mr. Otomo, is truly an outstanding and wonderful director.

The theme was a live broadcast from the Bakumatsu period.

Yeah, that might be just right.

はい。

Yes.

Live broadcast from the Bakumatsu period.

はい。

Yes.

Well, that might be perfect. I'm glad.

No, thank you.

So, today we were able to meet.

That's right.

No, I'm really happy about this. I've heard that Mr. Yazawa specifically chose me as his conversation partner this time, and I feel like it's time to rise to the occasion.

はい。

Yes.

Well, no matter what happens, I have made up my mind to go, so I am participating today.

Thank you.

No, no. So, first of all, I'd like to talk a bit about how we got to know each other; my relationship with Yazawa is actually like that.

I see, that's how it was.

We had a conversation over the phone once. At that time, I mentioned that I would like to meet again someday, whether for work or, if the COVID situation calms down, to go out for a meal.

Of course, I'd like to go for a meal again when the opportunity arises.

Today, since it's a radio show, I would like to talk about various things. Thank you very much.

はい。

Yes.

First of all, Mr. Yazawa, you are about 20 years older than me.

Are you 20?

I was born in 1969.

I am 69 years old.

I'm from '69.

I'm 49. Oh, I'm 20 years old.

We are 20 years apart.

Are you 20 years apart?

That's right.

That's right.

What does it feel like to be 20 years apart?

No, not really.

Do you mean something like, "You look younger than I expected"?

No, it's just a mess, really, I feel like I'm still 20. I feel like I'm still young.

Because I'm 72 now.

You are 72 years old, right?

At 72, I didn't think I would get this far, so when I realized it, I was surprised.

That's right. No, I'm the same way.

Right?

Me too.

Well, no matter what, even if I have to bite into a rock, I think I'll manage to sell at least one song.

I was thinking that, well, if one song sells well, then after that, it might just gradually decline a bit, you know? That's the kind of feeling I had.

Hey.

This year marks the 50th anniversary for me.

50th anniversary.

So, well, it means that it's been 50 years since Carol debuted and started singing.

That's right.

In front of people.

It's 72 years.

Maybe in '72.

1980.

Yes. It came out.

Yes.

You've done a lot of research, haven't you? I'm wondering about the timeline of how I got to know Yazawa-san, who is 20 years older than me, and what kind of activities Yazawa-san was involved in during my adolescence.

This is a story from when I was 14 years old, and speaking of my playlist from when I was 14, I was already almost immersed in American music.

Oh, I see.

I looked it up on Wikipedia.

Oh, really?

Well, at that time, I was wondering if it was the current Tokyo Dome?

はい。

Yes.

Originally, it was called Korakuen Stadium, but after doing this, well, it's basically that Yazuwa did Korakuen Stadium in rock, you know.

After it was over, I didn't know what to do anymore.

Ah.

I wonder what I should do from now on.

Well, is that in Shell Prefecture, the current Tokyo Dome? Doing that, I mean, if I say something a bit arrogant, it's like I've reached the pinnacle of rock, you know?

うん。

Yeah.

I'm just thinking on my own, but when I try to do something, I completely lose sight of what I should do.

はい。

Yes.

After all, we, you know, have that sense of excitement or thrill, stimulation, or even the urge to take things on. Well, especially for me, I've been the type to say those kinds of things without any hesitation.

If there isn’t something like that, I surprisingly end up in a place where I don’t know what to do.

うん。

Yeah.

I don't really know why, but let's go outside.

うん。

Yeah.

Let's jump out of Japan.

Maybe it doesn't really matter where, but for me, well, Los Angeles.

We decided to go to Los Angeles, so I went over there.

はい。

Yes.

I'm glad you went.

Was that good?

うん。

Yeah.

After all, in a city and country known for rock music, there are all sorts of different people.

はい。

Yes.

Right now in Japan, I'm Yasawa, how about that? I did it, and there are plenty of people like that.

What's the deal? It can be as much as you want, right?

はい。

Yes.

Rather, it feels like we're just at the beginning.

うん。

Yeah.

So, hey.

Hey, this isn't the time to be showing off, or to be carrying anything, or even to be drunk.

うん。

Yeah.

There are still amazing things in the world.

うん。

Yeah.

You still haven't even reached the entrance, and that's something you've witnessed firsthand, right?

However, since he is 20 years older than me, it's probably around the time when Yasawa-san was in his mid-30s, maybe around 33 to 45.

By the way, Yasawa-san, what were you doing when you were 14 years old?

I was in Hiroshima when I was 14, you know.

That's right.

Are you still in junior high school in Hiroshima?

At that time, was it guitar? Was it bass? Was it bass from the very beginning?

Well, I don't think I was thinking about starting a band or becoming a singer when I was around 14.

Ah, that's right.

Well, that's why it comes up in my book about rising to success, but when I was around 14, what year of middle school was I in?

It's the second year of junior high, huh?

中2?

Eighth grade?

はい。

Yes.

If it's when I was in the second year of middle school?

When I was in second year of junior high, there was a radio show called "Popular Requests of 95 million people."

For example, Masao Kojima. Listening to that kind of music made me go, "Wow, that's nice." Like, "This song is good, that song is good." I was the type of listener who would think, "What’s this week? 3rd place? It was 4th before, so it went up one rank."

Can I still sing?

I don't think I was singing. I believe I was a listener.

はい。

Yes.

So, to be honest, when I was around 14 years old, vaguely,

はい。

Yes.

Yes. There's always the question of what you'll do in the future, right?

What were you thinking of doing?

To put it clearly, as I wrote in my book at that time, I was around 14 years old when Japan was gradually entering the era of automobiles.

はい。

Yes.

You know, from the perspective of today's people, it's almost become a time when they don't even want cars anymore. However, for the young people today, back in our time, it felt like the era of cars was coming, it was coming, it was coming, and we were all excited about it. Alright.

I thought I would become a sheet metal wedding.

あー。

Ah.

If it's sheet metal work, then there's painting and things like that, car repairs. It's like wanting to become the kind of man who can definitely own a factory over there.

Yes, yes, yes.

Well, it's just one of Yazawa's habits to think that maybe I can do something there as well.

Did the seniors around you work in sheet metal or something like that?

No, there wasn't.

Oh, is that so?

I just thought so on my own.

Oh, is that so?

That's why, for that kind of reason, the world was in the age of cars.

あー。

Ah.

That's why, to that extent, the world was in the age of cars.

あー。

Ah.

Like the future.

So, was doing sheet metal work a new job for you?

That's right.

あー。

Ah.

It has nothing to do with me at all.

Yes, yes, yes.

It's just that, in a vague sense, the era of cars is coming at an astonishing pace right now.

Yes, yes, yes.

Of course, I think the era of sheet metal painting will come in this new age.

あー。

Ah.

Did you already have that sense of wanting money and wanting to make a profit when you were 14?

I've been that way since back then.

うん。

Yeah.

"I definitely want to work hard enough to own at least a small shop or a factory in my own way, so I think there was always a part of me that wanted to have money to hold onto, even if the scale is different, referring to that factory mindset sounds cool."

Yes, yes, yes.

Suddenly, at some moment.

うん。

Yeah.

The Ventures just came, and Group Sounds came too.

Uh-huh.

Everyone started playing electric guitars, and I began around the age of 16, and then it really took off about two years later.

Music.

Musical trends in the world, there would be a boom in electric music, The Ventures would come, and groups like The Surfaris would emerge; ultimately, the decisive factor is The Beatles.

Yes, yes.

Well, isn't it around 15 to 16, for me?

うん。

Yeah.

So, this 14-year-old is going to become a bank clerk.

うん。

Yeah.

In about a year and a half, I'm definitely going to get into music, it's gradually heading that way.

It was a challenge, but music.

Does that mean, if the manga artist Ichiyazawa was 14 years old in the present or a little while ago, it would be IT?

It might be.

You were responding to a revolutionary movement that changed the times of the world, weren't you, even back then?

In the end, there is always something that shines in each era. It depends on the age. I was like that too; I was in the punk scene. Then shortly after, music really started to rise rapidly, like bands and such.

Yes, yes, yes.

So, IT has arrived. Is space coming next?

Yes, yes, yes.

Is the space industry coming or something? It's all about how we feel about it at that time, right?

That's right.

It feels really killer, and then it just flows away from right in front of my eyes.

That's right.

Well then, it flows away from right in front of my eyes.

It's the difference between flowing away right in front of your eyes.

Higuchi, then regarding the movements of that era...

You were responding, weren't you?

That instinctively.

Deep Well, you say good things.

Higuchi, thank you.

Fukai: I just thought about that too.

I wondered why my metalworking was like this.

"Now that car body painting is common, it's because of that."

It's not like that at all anymore.

If I say this, will the people doing sheet metal work get angry at me?

When I thought about it

It's different from saying the time has come.

It's something that seems obvious, like sheet metal work.

I wonder why I decided to become a sheet metal worker at that time.

It was my own intense wave of the times, wasn’t it?

Higuchi: That's right.

Fukiai, that time.

That's just how it is.

The era of electric music has come, and the era of bands has come.

As soon as the Beatles arrived, it was like, "SB, huh?"

It can change all at once, you know.

It's simple, if you put it that way.

Higuchi: Well, but...

It's what you call history, isn't it?

The world is, in a sense, the Earth itself.

The world in the late 1800s.

The Industrial Revolution began in England.

It developed dramatically, didn't it?

経済が

The economy

Around that time, Japan was also entering the Bakumatsu period.

In the era of Sakamoto Ryoma.

The era of peace that lasted for 250 years.

The Tokugawa era is changing, isn't it?

様々な

Various

Under pressure from foreign influences.

Changing.

From there, Japan rapidly...

Let's join the international community.

When we aim to engage with the international community.

Various waves are occurring.

Mr. Yazawa is now 72 years old.

Born in 1949.

It's post-war, isn't it?

Hiroshima immediately after World War II.

I'm also from Nagasaki.

I understand well.

Perhaps a difficult era.

I think it was.

Right now, a war is indeed happening.

本当に

Really.

Somehow, Japan has to start from zero and do its best.

It's only been four years.

I am you.

I can't understand that in Fukuyama's case anymore.

That's right.

I have changed quite a bit already.

Because Japan is becoming more prosperous now.

But in the difficult era that emerged after the war,

Perhaps something about Yazawa's sensitivity...

Nurtured amidst those hardships.

In an incredibly turbulent era.

An era itself.

Turning the era itself into some kind of entertainment.

It's more about enjoyment.

React to that.

So I myself too

No, I think it's sheet metal.

This is going to work, I'm so excited!

No, the Beatles have come.

It's the Beatles, I'm so excited!

This is how the era itself is.

While enjoying it as entertainment.

While digesting

I wonder if I've been able to keep doing this all along.

I just thought about it.

I've been thinking about something lately from time to time.

はい

Yes

I am from the baby boomer generation.

So everyone, right now...

Right now, various people are...

I had someone from the generation of stages make it for me.

Japan's rapid economic growth and so on.

The generations of the stages have created it and have been working hard.

Almost not wrong.

But recently I've been changing my way of thinking a bit.

No, no, I think there's one difference.

No matter the generation.

I was born four years after the war.

The generation of my level in Showa 24.

It's been four years, you know.

But you see, there isn't much for everyone to eat.

How will we reorganize Japan from now on?

When it comes to making a living.

Still a child.

At that time, I had just been born.

Even if ten years have passed since then.

So what I wanted to say is...

Because the generations have worked hard.

Today’s Japan exists.

That might be true.

That may be true, but...

At all times.

Well, I wonder.

Those who do it, do it.

Those who are not doing it haven't done it.

Because there was too much of a lack.

I always think that nothing has changed.

So from now on

The current era of IT.

The era of space will continue from now on.

No matter what era comes.

After all, people who are a bit moody...

It's stuffy.

Is there really nothing else?

"Is there something?"

Those who are looking are searching.

That repetition.

There are various people, so this might be interesting again.

I think that might be the case.

Since then, all along.

I just came from a story set in the late Edo period.

すいません

Excuse me.

Well, really.

Today, you know.

Mr. Fukuyama, we have to start with the stories from the late Edo period.

After all, it's Sakamoto Ryoma.

But for me, Ryoma Sakamoto and Hikozaemon Yazawa are...

It's almost the same lineup in terms of positioning.

もはや

No longer

Unthinkable.

We're already in the same position.

Mr. Yazawa likes Mr. Ryoma.

When I heard that you are a fan of Ryoma,

I was a bit surprised.

I am, you know.

だって

Because.

Sakamoto Ryoma is

Then how about a taiga drama?

Isn't that the case with everything?

You've been coming regularly, huh?

The tiger drama starring Sakamoto Ryoma, the protagonist of someone.

See you again after a while.

Make sure it becomes that much.

After all, men are...

To that kind of thing.

I'll be there in a moment.

You must come.

You have to come.

I'm feeling the same way, too.

I've already come without fail.

Well, that's really...

Come and let's start with the very first story of today.

Why Mr. Fukuyama?

はい

Yes

It's the first thing I thought about.

I'm nothing but...

I want to talk to Fukuyama.

That's where it connects, right?

No, I.

Well, you see...

It's definitely the charm, after all.

Mr. Yazawa

I thought about it again.

Why is Eikichi Yazawa...

As Eikichi Yazawa this

50 Years of Entertainment

Of course, that is musically.

It is a unique and unmatched singing voice.

作曲

Composition

It is songwriting.

It is a live performance.

There are many different things, but...

As I thought, that overall...

Overall winner

Can I say it's Eikichi Yazawa?

I'm not sure, but...

All those various things in total.

Businesses that are being affected.

I'm being attacked, though.

The biggest charm is its charm.

It's a charm that's not a charm.

I'm sorry already.

I don't mean to be rude, but...

I think it's cuteness.

I can't help but think that.

Thank you.

あのー

Um...

僕は

I am

This is objectively different.

It's not that I’m watching you, though.

At one time, about myself...

あれ

Huh?

俺って

I'm me.

Oh, so that's how it is.

I've thought about it.

What do you mean by that?

What kind of person am I?

Everyone thinks about themselves, right?

What kind of person am I?

I had an experience in America.

I've discovered something really important about myself.

それは

That is

Engineer’s

A person named Chris Lord-Alge.

It's about the time we met.

他でも

Elsewhere.

I’ve said this before, but...

When I really met you for the first time,

This is a world-renowned engineer.

Chris Lord-Alge

So, then.

Well, you see...

This person has good sound.

I thought I did the job once.

Introduced by someone.

I'll make an appointment.

I met you for the first time.

Just to refer to my album.

What I did first was

Subway Express, huh?

それで

So then

When I went.

You know how there's first impressions?

Then.

決して

Never

Chris is

It's not like I'm feeling a warrior vibe or anything.

何でも

Anything

That's the type I am.

I think he is completely normal.

But I feel like...

At the time of our first meeting.

Something about this person.

Me

We just don't click.

The atmosphere is somewhat...

Even if you ask me where.

I can't answer that.

The atmosphere doesn't suit me.

はあ

Sigh.

What

About 10 days.

With this guy.

I'm going to do it now.

While thinking I don't want to.

Yes, nice to meet you.

If you say that...

Over there.

Oh no!

OK

OK

Then in three hours.

Come back in three hours.

Most of the sounds

I'll summarize it for you.

So, again...

Let me hear your opinion.

っていう

It means "I mean" or "that's what I say."

Well, it's a mix after all.

Because it's his world.

Say "OK."

3時間

3 hours

Ah, I don't like that.

Another 10 days.

Is it with this guy?

I have returned.

Come back.

Oh no!

It's mostly done now.

Give it a try and ask.

First sound.

When I heard it suddenly

That drum and snare.

Snare and bass.

How it sounds

I, you know.

やべ

Oh no!

音が

Sound is

I knew the sound was good, but...

I wonder if it's this cool.

This is already...

If you don't ask, you won't understand.

In that moment, I...

もう

Already

About this Chris.

You like it, huh?

I really like you a lot.

I love you.

That's why.

The attitude is already...

I don't care about the atmosphere.

This guy is cool.

So I...

その時に

At that time.

I understood myself.

あっ

Ah.

What kind of person am I?

あっ

Ah

I'm pretty right-wing.

と思った

I thought.

I see.

あっ

Ah.

でね

So then

それが

That is.

Maybe, perhaps.

I think I'm pushing up.

No, no.

I think so.

So you see something good, right?

はい

Yes

When I see a play or anything like that,

It's cool.

When I saw something that hits hard.

I, too, while watching the stage

もう

Already

The one that emits light.

Over there.

Cackling from behind.

I'm watching, you know.

はい

Yes

So

What kind of mechanism does it have?

えっ

Huh?

Flashing from an angle.

あっ

Ah.

That's why this kind of effect occurs.

If you say so.

Definitely the delicious part.

You're already copying it, aren't you?

I

Hehe.

いや

No.

That's right.

なので

So,

As I thought.

To acknowledge or something like that.

To fall in love means...

The part that is scary too.

I think there is.

それは

That is.

What it means to be scared is...

Overly influenced.

自分が

Myself.

It will be absorbed.

To that charm

So, …

Too influenced.

えー

Ehh?

From what I originally wanted to do.

It becomes blurry.

I think that's the case.

In Mr. Yazawa's case

That's good.

と思った

I thought so.

I honestly thought that.

となると

Then,

You said you're going to steal it now, didn't you?

Then let's use it.

使える

I can use it.

って

"That" or "You know" (depending on context).

Keep going with yourself.

"Don't leave it out of your butt."

You're going, huh?

Maybe.

Maybe.

Even in art.

Anything.

はい

Yes

あの

Um...

The word "to steal" or "to copy"

I'm sorry, but...

The words are harsh.

The word "to steal" is

You shouldn't use it often.

It's a word.

Well, well, well.

だけど

But

Incorporate the essence.

Since being influenced

I think it has evolved.

No, no.

そうです

That's right.

Anything

Even in technology.

It must be technology.

Anything

Even in art.

Anything.

はい

Yes

こう

Like this

When I thought it was amazing.

必ず

Absolutely.

How amazing it is!

that feeling is

"I must also be somewhere."

Something that won't lose to that.

I wonder if it can be incorporated.

When I said that,

Aren't you being influenced?

はい

Yes

受けて

Receive it.

Plus alpha.

Put it there.

はい

Yes

I can create something even higher up.

はい

Yes

Someone who saw that again

I think it's amazing.

While incorporating it again.

I will create something even more amazing.

はい

Yes

Little by little.

Come up, come up, come up.

When I went there

Haven't we come this far in civilization?

はい

Yes.

and

Because it's the old me.

The important thing is

Feelings of admiration.

The feeling of being a trend follower.

Being a superficial fan in good parts is...

Aren't you going to develop it?

That's right, isn't it?

自分

Myself

Okay.

Fleeting curiosity.

It's how to use it, right?

That's right, isn't it?

はい

Yes

I think so too.

うん

Yeah.

No, over there.

I was noticed.

How long has it been?

That was my first time going to America.

After all

I thought so when I met Chris too.

After a while, that...

俺って

I'm me.

あの

Um…

People in the world

あの

Um...

What do you call it?

What it means to be oneself.

Someone who has clear thoughts.

Stubborn, or something like that.

If it’s not true to myself.

That's not good, or something like that.

In that way.

Only/just.

You might be watching Yazawa.

だけど

But

すごく

Really

I want something more like this.

"I want to have fun myself."

So, then

From the customer's perspective

What do you mean by that?

お客は

The customer is

I wonder if it feels straightforward.

That means...

I always want to think.

とか

and so on

So I...

Beautiful things have

Incredibly beautiful.

As I can imagine myself.

I want to stay forever.

That's how it is.

だからその

So, that means...

There is nothing beautiful that lasts forever.

Pretty and

"I want to feel."

僕の

My

The anxiety I've known for a long time is

本当に

Really.

Is that how it is with Aijian?

"Wait a minute."

You might be surprised, but...

本当は

The truth is...

Yazawa is better.

I'm feeling it completely.

That's how it is.

素直に

Honestly

But the image is

Over there.

Isn't that not very common?

How is Yazawa?

It feels something like that.

You are pushing forward.

That kind of image as well.

I think there is

ただ

Just

How is it?

On your own.

そういった

Such things

Beautiful things

Are you the type to go looking for it?

それとも

Or

Before I knew it

I live my life that way.

Living with that kind of sensibility...

もう

Already

Are they gathering together?

Are you going to look for it?

I knew it.

That's it, isn't it?

I will go look for it.

Are you going to look for it?

That's why I'm going to look for it.

It doesn't look like you're going.

It doesn't look like I'm going, does it?

Yazawa, sit down firmly.

Like "tama".

With a cocky attitude.

言っても

Even if I say so

It looks like it's holding together, but...

The world isn't that sweet.

多分

Maybe

If you open this door...

I might be able to get that.

If I said you might be able to see it...

I'll go open that door.

I'd say I'm more of a...

That instinct or feeling is

I can catch things on my own now.

There are things that can catch that.

There are things that cannot be done.

After all, we have a connection.

It's not a connection after all.

After all, I really...

That is something that can be obtained.

There are also encounters and connections.

Things that cannot be obtained.

Things that cannot be met

I guess we just had no connection after all.

But I want to make sure that a connection is made as much as possible.

After all, I guess I should also...

You have to make an effort after all.

I have to go there.

It means "I can't fit in."

I have it.

The reason I'm speaking like this is because...

Maybe the people who have always been watching me are anxious.

Yazawa stands firm and composed.

When I said "nice to meet you"

I think everything is moving, somehow.

I'm telling you that it's not true.

It's not that easy.

So it's funny that I'm saying this myself, but...

Perhaps deep down, I am a person who pays a lot of attention to detail.

That's true.

That's right.

It has to be detailed, after all.

As expected, like in those manga or movies.

When I said to take it easy, I got it.

What I want to say is that it's a lie.

I'm also really meticulous.

It's detailed.

It's detailed.

It's not Mr. Fukuyama.

It's about us.

We really perform on stage like this, after all.

Mr. Fukuyama, the next stage.

The other day it got postponed because of COVID, and now there are things I have to do again.

There are a lot, aren't there?

There are a lot.

This time, that...

It makes me think of "double the return."

To make the audience think.

You're thinking about what trap to set, aren't you?

Well, I've been thinking about it for a long time.

I wonder if that's no good after all.

That's right.

だからね

So, you see.

You can't just suddenly drive a Benz overnight.

Sorry for suddenly bringing up the Benz.

Yes, you are absolutely right.

Mr. Yazawa is going to do it, huh?

何よ

What is it?

National Stadium Dome

I will do it.

I knew it, when you do it that way...

安心します

I'm relieved.

Thank you.

No, really.

How is Mr. Yazawa doing?

Whose back have you been looking at?

I always listen to the Beatles.

The Beatles struck a chord within me.

Run with a flash!

Alright, I'm done with sheet metal work.

I decided to become a rock singer.

Riding on the suspect.

Well, I said something like a fairly easy-to-understand comic.

最高です

It's the best.

I wonder what it is.

Already absorbed.

In a frenzy.

I was talking about Fukuyama quite a bit.

When I was young

They say they want to become rich.

Things that shouldn't be said too much.

I was intentionally saying it the opposite way without a care.

It felt really good.

That statement.

That was good, wasn't it?

It felt good.

I'm happy.

I knew it.

If you told me it felt good, then...

There is nothing more嬉しい than this.

But normally, in this society of Japan...

From that perspective

If you say something outright about money...

Just a little.

Saying it's improper or shameful.

I used to be much stronger back then.

When Mr. Yazawa debuted,

I see that was the case.

I think so.

But you see, I...

Doing something like that on purpose.

It's almost like saying it was done on purpose.

I was purposely saying that.

I want to become rich.

I already said it the other day.

Mr. Yazawa

If you play rock.

So much that I can't even make a fortune.

I thought it wasn't that great.

Mr. Yazawa

"Still, because I said I got on the suspect."

I came up with an answer right away.

If it didn't make a profit.

I didn't get on the suspect.

I said that.

How to interpret that?

Maybe if it were back in the old days.

They might take it as being vulgar, but...

I, you know.

But I'm glad I said this.

If I keep saying it over and over again...

Recently, you know.

Right now, a young athlete.

Whether they are a soccer player or not.

Whether it's a baseball player or not.

I wonder what it is.

みんな

Everyone

I'm not saying something like a dream.

I'm stating the reality clearly.

はい

Yes.

I will hit a few home runs.

How many hundreds of millions can you give me?

I'll ask clearly.

I, you know.

When I was around, if you said something like that...

I was told it was vulgar and indecent, but...

What I'm thinking about.

I’m glad I said it as it is.

I'm thinking about it now.

"After all, a large amount of money is not a small thing."

Mr. Yazawa's such things.

The thing called ambition

To disclose.

そこに

There.

"Everyone has a lot of money, at least not little."

I think I'm influenced.

I guess I'm the same way.

Being from the countryside

Iwasaki origin.

そして

And then

I'm also in a new metabolism.

I have come to Tokyo.

I was 18 years old.

So, then.

Of course, there is the presence of Mr. Yazawa there.

I've been here for quite a while.

So,

Big Yazawa-san

So, Mr. Yazawa, what comes after Big?

There is Mr. Yazawa who says it's great.

Yazawa-san is moving forward step by step.

なんか

Somehow

It's not studying.

Things I like

But

It's different from what I learned at school.

With what I want to do.

食べる

To eat

There are people who can manage.

There is a person named Yazawa.

っていう

That is to say.

You were that kind of presence for us, weren't you?

Is that so?

Because it was a symbol.

I still do.

Is it recent?

What I noticed was

Make sure to go to a good school.

Do a good study.

Creating dramas.

Creating music.

する人が

The person who does.

At first, I didn't understand.

I want to do music or something.

"I want to do a play."

I can't get caught up in such things.

Or I don't want to.

Alternatively, I want to intentionally stand out from there.

That's how people who say such things do music.

I was thinking on my own.

I see.

なので

So,

A person who studied properly.

I understand now, though.

Someone who has studied properly in various places.

People who have studied various things

Is that an image or physics?

Anything is fine, but...

People who studied properly are those who studied in various places.

Working in the entertainment industry is

I understand now, but...

I didn't understand it at the time.

So I thought it was something that people who can't fit in there would do instead.

I'm sorry.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

As a symbol of that.

I was chasing after Yazawa.

There are things I've admired, you know.

In reality, it was during middle and high school.

Were you studying?

I, you know.

I hated studying.

I'm relieved.

I hated studying.

I hated it.

Music class

Because I slept that much, you know.

But after I actually made my debut...

It's not called studying, but...

In order to live.

In order to survive.

I have to learn.

There are a lot of things I have to catch up on.

I have to keep thinking about it.

同じように

In the same way

If I put in this much effort,

I can do just about anything, I think.

It's about other things, I guess.

Think intensely.

I think you've been through a lot of different things.

After actually making my debut...

That's it, isn't it?

After making my debut

When I truly look back,

various

In my arbitrary image/idea.

I'll let you speak.

I think you are really good at negotiations.

I have that impression on my own.

No, no.

どこで

Where?

That negotiation skill.

You must have developed negotiation skills.

It's because Miyama-san asks me that way.

Even at this late stage, I...

Was I good at negotiating?

I've been thinking about it now.

Looking back now

That's it, isn't it?

It's about accumulation.

There's no way I could do it suddenly.

Stacking and stacking.

As I've done it tens, hundreds, and thousands of times...

The deal.

While doing the deal

I failed this before.

Because I realized that this is different.

You can't use this next time, right?

We can't use this from now on, right?

This is quite good, isn't it?

It would be better to refine this a little more, right?

It's the same repetition.

This pulling and pushing.

While pulling and pushing repeatedly

I'm gradually understanding.

But, you know, I can say this.

I am now with Fukuyama-san.

You're saying I'm good at negotiations, aren't you?

I don't think I'm good at it.

The reason is that...

I'm all about passion, you know.

It's a feeling of heightened emotion.

The upper feeling is equal to.

I'm a little short-tempered.

If you're short-tempered, everyone, please don't misunderstand.

Having a short temper means being hot-headed and quick to argue.

If you're short-tempered, then you're short-term.

Does that mean you get into fights quickly?

It's not that kind of fight; it's not a fight at all.

I have a short temper.

Those who are short-tempered.

I see, as expected.

It must be hot, right?

It's hot, so it hurts like this.

Passionate and painful.

Short-tempered.

The people around here have a short temper.

すると

Then,

If only a little more at that time.

It’s better to just stay still without giving an answer.

The answer was actually a better answer.

What that means is...

It happens often.

You make decisions quickly, don't you?

You make decisions quickly.

That's also one of my good points.

You must be quick to decide.

Just a little.

Boss, it's a bit too early.

A little early.

Just let it sit for a night.

It was rolling around in a place where it would have been fine to just leave it alone.

That's what I'm saying.

Because I have many experiences from my dozens of years in the past.

If I had to choose, I'd say...

I'm not very good as a negotiator.

ただね

Just you know,

That's why I'm an artist.

If this is the case,

If I were really good at negotiations.

I don't think I can write that melody.

I don't think I can do that stage.

After all, being good at negotiations is...

Not standing on stage.

Let the manager handle it; that's the best approach.

Thank you.

Thank you for the negotiation.

だからね

So you see.

In that sense.

僕は

I am.

I really stand on the stage.

だけど

But

Like this

Creating a studio.

What are you doing?

You're doing great!

So I think that's what Mr. Fukuyama is being told now.

It is that miraculous balance that I believe in.

I was thinking it was Eikichi Yazawa.

But this too

When I get asked "Why is that?"

Why not?

The only thing I can say is

うーん

Hmm.

これかな

Is this it?

If I had to say anything,

It might be at my good point.

I want to go up.

I don't want to be made a fool of.

These two may have always existed.

I want to go up.

I want to go up.

In the past, I would say it out loud.

So, I told myself that too.

I told myself.

I've stopped saying it recently because it's no longer cool.

There's no need to say it.

You're at a good age, after all.

Since I'm already old enough, there's no need to say it, but…

I haven't changed; I'm now 72 while still being like I was at 18.

Nothing good is happening.

"It feels like there’s nothing good happening."

It's like a habitual phrase that exists within me.

I guess that's what makes me who I am.

That could happen to Fukuyama-san too, right?

A lot

あります

There is/are.

There are plenty, right?

There is.

There are a lot, right?

I'm 53 years old right now.

I thought I would become a bit calmer after turning 50, but...

You're busy, aren't you?

I want to know various things.

I wonder if there’s something more interesting.

It's getting busier, isn't it?

I think that's fine with me.

The phrase "悠々自敵" translates to "calmly self-reliant" or "poised and self-sufficient."

I think it's a lie.

Lie, lie, lie.

Who said "calm and composed"?

Just lies like that.

I was wondering if that kind of day would ever come.

That was already made by someone.

Are you a writer?

It was created by a writer, or rather, by a TV station.

"Being carefree and calm is a lie."

Humans, you know...

I wonder what happened with that after all.

I wonder how this is going.

What should we do about this place?

Such things, this and that and those too.

There's no way I could be free.

This means there are more things to do again.

That means, actually, Mr. Fukuyama...

It's a wonderful thing.

Yeah, that's true.

Absolute happiness.

That's right.

You're still in your 50s, right?

It's 53, yes.

Not yet.

I'm just like that now.

53 is still totally active.

Once you turn 65.

Gradually, that energy...

Coming down.

Because it will go down even if you stay quiet.

What should I do?

I can also rev the engine myself.

Something to do.

Find something to do.

If there isn't any, then make it.

Always talk to yourself.

If you can't find something to do, create it.

Make it, make it, I've turned 70.

"I thought it was bad at 70, but then from across the sea..."

I heard that Mick is going to do another tour.

Mick, if you're 75, oh my god.

I got it, I'll go for the new national stadium too.

I’m going to do it, that’s right.

It's already the new National Stadium, you know.

Isn't this the first time someone is performing solo at the new national stadium?

Well, that's how things have come to be.

I thought I was done for.

だから

So.

So, you see, Miyama-san...

Once you pass 65, you can't stay silent anymore.

Gradually, gradually.

I don't know why, but I'm really busy.

It means that there are things to do.

It will gradually lower down.

If it goes down, I'll raise it myself.

It's like if it's not there, I will search for it.

You say, don't you?

That's already my slogan.

Well, it doesn't really have the details written here.

It's at the new national stadium, right?

It's the first live performance with an audience at the new national stadium!

That's right.

That means domestic artists in Japan.

Including overseas as well.

This is the first live performance with an audience for Mr. Yazawa, right?

New National Stadium

It was just a coincidence, wasn't it?

It just happens that way.

Someone for the Olympics.

You built the National Stadium, didn't you?

That's true, but coincidence is really important, isn't it?

Hey.

This is why this 70.

Here.

今年で

This year.

The happiness of being able to do it.

After doing this twice on the weekends...

This time, let's do the Fukuoka Dome.

That's right.

At the Osaka Dome

This will be the final one.

There will be four stages.

Wow, that's amazing!

So, well, I guess that's it.

We

Somehow like this.

I've been doing this all along.

その60

Number 60

60 at the age of 50.

The phrase "60の頃の70っていうのって" translates to "What does it mean to say 70 at the age of 60?"

Do you vaguely imagine it like this?

About three years or so.

I think that's the case for us.

It's called a shed tie.

There's a part where I need to do some reverse calculations.

Isn't it always there?

For a term of about 2 or 3 years.

When it comes to doing each project one by one...

Somehow around the age of 50.

I wonder how many more tours we'll be able to do.

I was thinking about this at around 60.

Is it something you envision?

You know, in your 50s.

I am someone who has come this far.

I can't say it, though it's a bit cocky.

At 50, you don't have to think about anything.

Please just keep running straight ahead.

Is that so?

It has nothing to do with it.

Please go ahead and do it vigorously.

60

60

65

65

I told you just now.

When you get to around 65 or 68,

Slowly, slowly.

That's where it hits hard.

"To various things, you know."

はい

Yes

So the conclusion is...

That's because I was thinking about those kinds of things.

はい

Yes

So the conclusion that was reached is

It's like the happiness of continuing to do something.

I've been thinking clearly lately.

When I read the interview before,

Of course, in my youth, I was also involved in businesses that were not related to music.

There were times when I was interested, but...

After all, it's a stage for me.

I read what you said.

That's right.

だって

Because.

When I was younger, I might have said a bit more.

Yeah, I've had all sorts of dreams.

I've already had various dreams.

You should just keep it inside your own stomach.

They said it nonchalantly, you know.

I'll say it too, you know.

Everyone is already watching it, right?

Besides music

I'm already doing music.

While doing it

"I'm going to drive a better car."

"I'm going to become a man who can own a vacation home in the world."

"Building a building for you or something."

They were already making a loud noise.

But I did it that way anyway.

Ah, it's something or other.

It's not that kind of thing.

You realize that the excitement and thrill don't last forever.

It will definitely betray the excitement and thrill.

What keeps making me do this is the live performance.

So when it comes to the body...

This is already different from the usual double time.

It's already the time to end.

最初の

The first.

Maybe 31 last year.

About the first six songs of the tour.

Should I not say this because it might worry the fans?

I don't know.

I'm completely, completely, completely not physical at all.

Because I'm with that athlete.

I will have convulsions after it's over.

I can't take a shower for my feet.

It's going to have convulsions for a while.

The trainer is also in a state of not being able to touch it.

Doing that while deceiving oneself.

Taking advantage of an opportunity

After doing this and that, if I do 3 and then do 5,

This will completely eliminate such convulsions.

Your body gets used to it.

Once you're settled in, about 10 to 15 will do.

It's going to get really intense.

体が

The body is

Last year, when it was the final Yokohama Arena of the 31 shows.

Because when it ended too

I can still do about 5 or 6 more, maybe even 10.

The body is being built up.

So the body is...

That thing follows me, you know.

This time, I also thought so.

Concerts were affected by COVID.

Wasn't it about two years that you wanted to do it?

やって

Do it.

As expected, the first impression that came to mind was...

Because I came back to life.

そう

That's right.

Revived.

That's how it is, right?

I was alive, but I was dead.

During the time when we weren't doing that live show...

ありました

There was.

So that's fine.

So really, you know.

It keeps making my heart race forever and ever.

What makes me sparkle is

It's a live performance, in my case.

But I felt that too.

It feels a little like this.

It seems a bit uncle-like, though.

It is also a kind of health method.

Doing it really makes me feel more energetic, doesn’t it?

Definitely so.

Do you drink alcohol?

I will drink.

Will you drink during the tour or after it ends?

That's right, I am.

いいね

Sounds good.

How is Mr. Yazawa doing now?

I'll be honest with you.

Yazawa's tour is already...

It was a tour for going drinking.

In the past, you know.

かつて

Once upon a time.

It's already over, so let's go all out in the morning.

I was drinking until around 3 o'clock.

Let's go to the next town again.

I'll take a shower again after it's over.

Until around 2 or 3 in the morning.

It was a drinking tour, wasn’t it?

Gradually, over the years.

What's important is which stage is important.

Let's gradually just stop it then.

No more alcohol during the tour.

It feels like it has been a while.

We'll have drinks again after the tour is over.

Sake, you know.

I don't know about other artists, but...

Alcohol and tour.

That's wonderful!

本当に

Really

Alcohol, tours, and the local area.

Delicious rice is truly the best, isn't it?

That's right.

So, the current young rock bands...

When we're done, I want you to go to a convenience store and buy something for me.

Staying secluded in a room isn't something everyone does, of course.

There are quite a few people like that.

Lately, that's how it is, boss.

When I heard about it during the event participation.

I couldn't help but go.

What is the purpose of doing the tour?

いや

No.

I might be the one who's at fault for asking this question.

So, what did Yazawa-san go for?

If you come to drink alcohol

If you come to perform on stage for the tour

That's right.

I asked a strange and foolish question, you see.

No, really just a little more.

I have a mountain of things I want to ask.

Since the theme is 14 years old.

Just a little about when I was 14 years old.

Can you tell me a little about the last story?

I would like to receive the song, please.

It's about the music I was listening to.

See you later.

はい

Yes

Not exactly 14.

So-so.

It's about being vague.

About

Back then, I told you just a moment ago.

The Beatles

Well, the Beatles are good too.

There were so many back then.

Sad sound of the rain.

Connie Francis is great too, isn't she?

But the Beatles are easy to understand, right?

あの

Um...

"Mr. Postman is nice."

Well then, shall we go for that?

Are we going?

Well then, Yazawa-san.

Well then, let me introduce you.

Well then, The Beatles.

"Please, Mr. Postman"

Thank you, Yazawa-san.

That is "Mr. Postman".

I received the Beatles.

I'm a little bit like this.

This isn't exactly me, but…

Maybe around one or two years from now.

From the same Hiroshima as Mr. Yazawa.

Shogo Hamada

A song by a singer-songwriter.

There's a song called "Money."

Oh, really?

Exactly money.

Main street of this town.

Just a few hundred meters have become desolate.

There are five or six dilapidated movie theaters and bars.

Those who graduated from high school.

The next morning, I leave with my bag in hand.

Whether there really was such a Hiroshima or not.

I'm not really sure.

あの

Um...

Well, there was also a discussion about money today.

Incredibly like this.

This attitude towards money.

Desire is being expressed, isn't it?

This had a really strong impact on me too.

I see.

When I was 14 years old

Please say that one more time.

The content of the poem.

Next is…

A run-down movie theater and about five or six bars.

Those who graduated from high school

The next morning, I leave with my bag in hand.

"You became a substitute for our father who disappeared."

Raised me covered in oil.

He forced his dreams onto me.

I was deceiving my heart.

And here comes the chorus.

マネー

Money

Money makes me crazy.

マネー

Money

Money changes everything.

One day, big money will be at their feet.

It's a song about hitting someone hard.

But to some extent.

What is this?

Is it his poem?

It's a poem by Hamada.

So it's a good poem.

No, it's a good poem.

It's a nice poem.

Is that based on personal experience?

I wonder how it is.

I don't know, but...

Poetry is nice too.

I wonder what to say.

Well, everyone does it like this.

Everyone

Everyone does that.

Hungry.

"You'll see soon."

With the feeling of "just wait and see."

In various industries.

I'm sure you're doing your best.

May I read a little more?

That's fine.

2番です

It's number 2.

She is a glamorous movie star dreaming.

Stop the car by the lake's edge.

We're going to have fun by reclining the seat.

A hot and long summer night.

At that time, she will continue to love like this.

I love you, I love you, more and more.

But last night I was with some rich man.

He/she left the town.

Money makes money.

Harkleazy

Money changes everything.

"Someday, at their feet."

I'll slam down big money.

So, from here on.

A pure white mansion with a Mercedes and a pool.

In bed with the best woman.

Dom Pérignon

Everything I want is inside the CRT.

Like a nightmare.

Money, money makes me crazy.

Money changes everything.

One day I'll grasp big money in my hands.

This is the kind of lyrics, you see.

Well, that's a good thing after all.

After all, it's definitely that.

It means "I'm telling you to watch."

That's right.

Is it regret?

Regret.

Just you watch.

No, that's because this is the lyrics of a song.

Everyone has those feelings to some extent.

In their own way.

I think you've been doing your best with your thoughts.

If I don't think about it, this poem won't come out, right?

That's right, isn't it?

So everyone.

Haven't you been raising it?

That's right.

Well then, my selection is for a 14-year-old.

14-year-old pro wrestler Miyama Saru is

I really don't have enough time today.

Thank you.

Thank you very much.

That 14-year-old pro wrestler.

A story I want today's 14-year-olds to hear.

I think I was able to do a lot.
