I operate a pharmacy called Wave Pharmacy.

今年で5年目

This is the fifth year.

もうすぐ6年目になるんですけども

It's about to be our sixth year.

JCは入会して3年目で

JC has been a member for three years.

高野さんと同じ代というところで

Because we're in the same class as Takano.

奥さんが沖縄の方なので

My wife is from Okinawa.

それでちょっと沖縄で独立しようと思ってですね

So I'm thinking of becoming independent in Okinawa.

それで7年前ぐらいにですね

確かにウチナムークスタイル結構周りにもいるよね

いろいろ考えて自分の人生もあるし

I've thought about it a lot, and I have my own life too.

それこそ働ける場所もあるかどうかもあるし

そういう意味ではどうだったんですか

奥さんは一切沖縄帰りたいとかではなくてですね

My wife doesn't want to return to Okinawa at all.

で仕事するか沖縄で独立するかの二択だったんですね

So it was either working or becoming independent in Okinawa.

でその沖縄で独立の方を選んだっていうことで沖縄に来ることになったっていうことなんで

So, it means that I decided to come to Okinawa because I chose the path of independence there.

じゃあ沖縄の奥さんじゃなくても沖縄に来てたかもしれない

Well, I might have come to Okinawa even if I wasn't married to a woman from Okinawa.

そうですね可能性はありますね

それまでに沖縄に何回か来てたんですか

Have you been to Okinawa several times by then?

仕事でその5ヶ月の出張があったんですね

You had a business trip for those five months, huh?

その時に薬局の仕事で来たんですけど

I came for work at the pharmacy at that time.

沖縄って島国島の県じゃないですか

Okinawa is a prefecture in an island nation, isn't it?

なんであんまりこうライバルが少ないのかなと

I wonder why there are so few rivals.

薬剤師も日本で一番少ないところと

There are also the places with the fewest pharmacists in Japan.

というところで1位が沖縄で2位が青森県なんですね

なので以前そういう採用をしてた時期はですね

結構その第一の人が沖縄に移住するっていう

It's quite likely that the first person will move to Okinawa.

元々薬局の仕事上ですね

It originally involves work at a pharmacy.

老人施設とそういう契約をしたりってこともあるんですけども

そのある施設の理事長さんがJCのOBだったんですね

The chairman of that facility was an alumnus of the JC (Junior Chamber).

その方をよく知ってる

It seemed like everyone I met was a junior high school girl.

そういう意味でも入会して良かったなって

At first, I was wondering what kind of organization it was.

しかも中JCの建物自体ちょっと暗いじゃないですか

Moreover, the building of the junior high school itself is a bit dark, isn't it?

なんで怪しくない?みたいな

あったんですけど

実際に入ると全然あれだし

Once you actually enter, it's completely different.

結構仕事上というか

It's quite related to work, or rather.

なんかの組織のコンサルをしているところの

I'm consulting for some kind of organization.

オフ会みたいなところにあった方々が

People who were at a gathering like an offline meeting.

JCやってたりとかしてるんで

I'm doing things like participating in junior college activities.

やっぱそういうきっかけになりますね話の

It definitely serves as a trigger for conversation, doesn't it?

卒業されてる方とかなんですけど

有責の方だったりとかするんですけど

It might be someone who is responsible, or something like that.

県外でもそういうことあるんで

その間を見て話していく感じで

実際に両方とも会員だったりしたら交換するっていう感じで

最初から名刺を出すってことはないかなっていう

I don't think I'll be handing out business cards right from the start.

全国城が町シンポジウムのことやりませんかって話があったので

とりあえずちょっとこれを頑張ってみようっていうのは今年の目標で

For now, my goal for this year is to give this a try and do my best.

来年再来年に関しては今回のことをやった後に考えようっていうところなんですけども

昨日もちょうど委員会ありまして面白いイベントを作ろうってことで

Yesterday, we had a committee meeting and talked about creating an interesting event.

誰呼ぶ誰呼ぶみたいなこの芸能人呼ぶとかあの芸人さん呼んでみるとか

It's like saying, "Who should we invite? Should we call this celebrity or try inviting that comedian?"

城下町なんで首里城のことに関しての話みんなに伝えていくっていうところなんですけど

Since it's a castle town, we are in a position to convey stories about Shuri Castle to everyone.

若い人に来てほしいよねっていうところで若い人に向けて誰呼ぶとか

I want young people to come, so I'm thinking about who to invite for the young crowd.

そういう昨日そういう話をしてまして

We were talking about that kind of thing yesterday.

結構そういう話をしてまして

We've been having quite a bit of that kind of conversation.

結構ちょっとワイワイやりながらやってるので

We're doing it while having quite a bit of fun.

そういう瞬間が楽しいですもんね

7月だったらサマーコンファレンスっていうものもありますし
