오랜만에 함께합니다. 디모델의 전서 성경공부 시작해 보도록 하죠.

It's been a while since we've been together. Let's start the Bible study of the Dimodel.

디모델의 전서는 디모델은 한 사람에게 쓰고 있는 편지입니다.

The Letter of Demodula is a letter written to one person.

디모델은 바울이 가장 신뢰받는 제자였고요.

Timothy was Paul’s most trusted disciple.

그래서 대살로니카나 빌리포나 고린도나 어떤 교회 문제가 있을 때

So when there are issues in churches like Thessalonica, Philippi, or Corinth

바울이 직접 갈 수 없이 항상 디모델을 보내서 교회를 섬기고

Paul repeatedly sent Timothy to serve the church since he couldn't go there himself.

문제를 해결하도록 하고 이야기를 전할 만큼 바울이 굉장히 신뢰했던

Paul trusted enough to solve the problem and convey the story.

지도자죠. 그렇죠?

You're a leader, right?

그리고 이 디모델이 바울이 떠난 이후에 에베소 교회에 남아서

And this Deomodel stayed in the church of Ephesus after Paul left.

이 교회를 지도, 목회하고 있었습니다.

I was leading and pastoring this church.

그래서 바울이 이 디모델에게 네가 목회하고 있는 부분들에 대해서

So Paul is talking to Timothy about the areas you are pastoring.

이 부분을 좀 이렇게 하길 바란다라고 이야기하고 있는 부분들이

There are parts that are suggesting that I would like it to be done this way.

디모델의 전서라고 할 수 있습니다.

It can be said to be the epistle of Dimo.

요즘에는 좀 소그룹 형태로 양육이 바뀌어서

From the listener's standpoint, it's not doing what they were doing.

제 입장에서는 안 하던 걸 하는 거여서

From my perspective, it's about doing something I haven't done before.

설교를 일부러 녹음하는 건

Recording a sermon on purpose is...

저한테는 굉장히 어색한 일인 것 같아요.

I think it's a very awkward thing for me.

팟캐스트 처음 할 때부터

Since the first time I started the podcast.

뭔가 불특정 다수의 청자를 위해서

For some unspecified majority of listeners.

내가 이렇게 해야 되는 사람이라고 생각을 못한 부분이 있고

I didn't think I was someone who had to do this.

아직도 거기에 제가 충분히 동기부여되지 않은 부분이 있어서

There are still parts where I am not sufficiently motivated.

Um.

아 물론 거기에 사람이 존재한다라고 생각하지도 못하는 부분도 있어서요.

Oh, of course, there are parts where I don't even think that humans exist there.

저한테 조금 아직은

It's still a bit for me.

동기부여나 이런 부분은 좀 어색한 부분이 있고요.

There are some awkward aspects regarding motivation and such.

그래도

Still.

들어주고 계시고

Listening.

기다리고 계신다는 부분들

The parts where you are waiting.

얘기해 주시는 분들이 있어서

There are people who tell me stories.

다시 이렇게 올리고 있습니다.

그리고 무엇보다

저희 교회 내부에서도

Within our church as well

강의에 못 오시는 분들이 좀 듣기도 하기 때문에

Some people who cannot attend the lecture will also listen.

그런 분들에 대한 동기부여도 크겠죠.

The motivation for those kinds of people must be significant too.

특별히 채집사님께서 꼭 올려달라고 얘기를 하셔서

열심히 해서 하도록 하겠습니다.

첫 번째 말씀에 대한 깊은 이해가 우리가 필요하고요.

We need a deep understanding of the first statement.

그거에 대해서는 저는 충분히 동기부여가 되어 있습니다.

I am充分ly motivated about that.

근데

But

제가 그것을

I will do it.

이 강의가 그것을 하고 있다니까요.

This lecture is doing that, you know.

그것을 하고 있다 라는 것들에 대한 자부심이 꼭 필요할 것 같고요.

I think it's really important to have pride in the things you are doing.

그리고 어떤 사람도 이것을 듣고 그것을 하고 있다라는 것들에 대한

And about the things that some people are listening to and doing this.

보람도 저한테 좀 필요한 것 같습니다.

I think fulfillment is also something I need.

하여간 제가 게으르지 않고

Anyway, I'm not being lazy.

꾸준히 녹음 작업을 할 수 있도록 노력해 보도록 하겠습니다.

I will try to consistently work on recording tasks.

이제까지 서신서들도 마찬가지로

바울이 이 교회의 어떤 포인트들을

What points did Paul make about this church?

설명하기 위해서 편지를 보낸 것이기 때문에

I sent this letter to explain.

이 편지가 어떤 이슈인가에 대해서

Regarding what issue this letter is about.

잘 이해하면서 읽을도록

Read in a way that you understand well.

제대로 이해할 수 있겠죠.

You will be able to understand it properly.

그리고 디모데대전서 같은 경우는 한 사람에게

And in the case of the First Epistle to Timothy, it is addressed to one person.

보내는 거기 때문에

Because it's being sent.

이 한 사람이 목회를 하는 부분에서 보내는 거기 때문에

Because this part is about a single person doing pastoral work.

디모데대전서가 어떤 목회적

실수라는 표현이 정확할지 모르겠지만

부족함이 있었고

There were shortcomings.

바울이 그 부분에서 어떤 지향을

제시하는가를 바라볼 때

When looking at what is presented.

우리가 이 디모데대전서를 보면서

As we look at this First Letter to Timothy,

전체 패턴을 이해할 수가 있는 부분들이 있겠죠.

There are parts where you can understand the overall pattern.

첫 번째 부분들을 보면

Looking at the first parts...

앞부분의 1장 이렇게 시작하네요.

The first chapter starts like this.

내가 마게도냐로 갈 때 너에게 권하여

When I go to Macedonia, I will recommend it to you.

1장 3절입니다.

It is chapter 1, verse 3.

너에게 권하여 에베서에게 머물라

I urge you to stay in Ephesus.

한 것은 어떤 사람들을 영하여

What has been done to inspire certain people.

다른 교훈을 가르치지 말며

Do not teach other lessons.

신화와 끝없는 족보에 몰두하지 말게 하랍니다.

Don't get caught up in myths and endless genealogies.

이것은 믿음 안에 있는

This is in faith.

하나님의 격률을 이름보다

God's principle over name.

도리어 변론을 내는 것이라.

Rather, it is making an argument.

이 교훈의 목적은 청결한 마음과

The purpose of this lesson is a clean heart and

선한 양심과 거짓없는 믿음에서 나는

I come from a good conscience and an honest faith.

사랑이거늘 사람들의 이해에서 벗어나

It is love, yet it is misunderstood by people.

헛된 말에 빠져

Caught in vain words.

율법의 선생대를 하나

One of the teachers of the law.

자기의 말하는 것이나 자기의 확장한 것도 깨닫지 못한다.

They do not realize what they are saying or their own expansion.

이렇게 얘기하고 있습니다.

I'm talking like this.

오프닝이죠.

It's the opening.

첫 번째 바울이 이 디모데대전서가

The first Paul is this First Letter to Timothy.

신경 써서 목회해야 하는 부분들에서

Aspects that require careful attention in ministry.

강조했던 부분들이 있었던 거죠.

There were parts that were emphasized.

뭐예요?

What is it?

신앙이라고 하는 것은 어디에 집중하는 거예요?

What does it mean to focus on faith?

신앙이라고 하는 것은

What is called faith

바울이 얘기하는 청결한 마음.

The pure heart that Paul speaks of.

내 마음이 더

My heart is more.

죄에서 벗어나 깨끗해지고

Be free from sin and become clean.

선한 양심, 선한 것을 하고자 하는

A good conscience, a desire to do good.

내 의지, 기준

My will, standard.

내 기준이 더

My standards are higher.

의로운 내 기준이

My standard of righteousness.

굳건해지면서도 강력해지고

Becoming stronger and more solid.

양심이라는 건 기준의 문제이기도 하지만

Conscience is also a matter of standards.

의지의 문제이기도 하잖아요.

It's also a matter of will.

그리고 거짓없는 믿음에서 나오는

And the faith that comes from sincerity.

사랑. 뭐예요? 거짓없는 믿음

Love. What is it? A belief that is free of deceit.

하나님을 향한 온전한

Complete devotion to God.

믿음을 통하여서

Through faith

그 하나님의 사랑으로

With that love of God

내가 변화되는 그거죠.

It's about me changing.

내가 죄의 잘못된 생각과

My wrong thoughts about sin and

마음에서부터 깨끗해지고

Becoming clean from the heart.

청결한 마음. 그리고 선한 양심

A clean heart. And a good conscience.

내가 바르는 것이 무엇인지 알아

Do you know what I am applying?

그것을 추구하게 되고

You will pursue that.

거짓없는 믿음에서 나오는 사랑

Love that comes from a genuine faith.

하나님을 향한 믿음을 통해서

Through faith in God.

그 사랑의 내가 감화되며 또 내가

That love influences me, and I also...

세상을 사랑하게 되는 것. 이것이 뭐예요?

Loving the world. What is this?

이것이 바로

This is exactly.

신앙생활이라는 거예요.

It's called a life of faith.

신앙생활은 단지 이 단순성, 이 내적 변화

Faith life is simply this simplicity, this inner change.

이 사람의 변화, 이 인생의 변화를

The change of this person, the change of this life.

목적으로 한다는 거예요.

It's for the purpose of that.

그런데 사람들에게는 특별히 에베소교에게도

However, to people, especially to the church in Ephesus

어떤 실수의 위험이 있었고

What risks of mistakes were there?

그 일이 발생했다는 것입니까?

Does that mean that the incident happened?

신화와 끝없는 족포에 참여하는 것

Participating in myths and endless legacies.

다른 교훈을 가르치는 것

Teaching a different lesson.

믿음 안에 하나님의 경률을 이룬 보다

To achieve God's righteousness in faith.

변론을 내는 것. 이런 것들이 많아졌다는 거죠.

Submitting arguments. There are many of these kinds of things now.

헛된 말, 이런 것들이 많아졌다는 거죠.

There are many empty words, that's what it means.

뭐예요? 별로

What is it? Not much.

중요하지 않는

Not important.

논리적이고 교리적인

Logical and doctrinal

이슈를 논제하고 토론하고

Discuss and debate the issue.

정리하는 게 마치

It's like organizing.

신앙생활이냐 왜곡되는

Is it a life of faith or is it being distorted?

패턴이 생기기 시작했다는 거예요.

It means that a pattern has begun to emerge.

그렇죠? 여러분 이게 굉장히

That's right? Everyone, this is very

신앙이 어느 정도 좋았던 교회에서

At a church where faith was somewhat good.

반복적으로 생겨나는 문제입니다.

It is a problem that arises repeatedly.

오해하지 마세요. 그들 가운데

Don't misunderstand. Among them.

명확하게 진리에서 벗어난

Clearly deviated from the truth.

이단적인 교리와

Heretical doctrine and

이단적인 가르침을 가르쳐주고 있는 부분에 대해서

Regarding the part that teaches heretical doctrines.

얘기하고 있는 게 아니에요. 디모대전서에서

I'm not talking about that. In the First Epistle to Timothy.

여기서 다른 교훈

Another lesson here.

신화와 끝없는 족포라고 얘기할 때는

When talking about mythology and endless legacies

완전히 변질된

Completely corrupted.

아까 앞에서 얘기하는 고린도 교회나

The Corinthian church we were talking about earlier.

갈라디아 교회에서 나왔던

It came out of the Galatian church.

어떤 완전히 변질된 왜곡된 교리가

A completely distorted and corrupted doctrine.

이들 가운데 유포돼서 그 교리에 변증을

These are disseminated among them to argue against that doctrine.

해내야 되고 이런 것이 아니라

It's not about having to achieve it or anything like that.

이 사람들한테는

To these people.

이 사람들이 말하는 게 맞긴 해요.

What these people are saying is correct.

이 사람들이 말하는 게 불필요한

What these people are saying is unnecessary.

말하는 게 불이한 얘기는 아니에요.

It's not unfair to say.

근데 뭐 하는 거예요? 불필요한 얘기가

But what are you doing? It's unnecessary talk.

집중하고 있다는 거예요.

It means that I am focused.

여기 어떻게 해요? 몰두해요.

How do you do it here? I immerse myself in it.

그리고 이게 끝이 없어요.

And this has no end.

그렇죠? 그래서

That's right? So

믿음 안에 의해서 하나님의

By faith in God

격련을 이룬

Achieved a clash.

내가 아까 얘기했던 마음과 양심과

The heart and conscience that I mentioned earlier.

사랑이 내 안에 증대되는 청결한 마음과

A pure heart in which love is growing within me.

선한 양심과 거짓 없는 의미의 사랑이

The love of a good conscience and of truthfulness.

증대하는 그런 방향으로 내 신앙생활을 해나가는 것이 아니라

Instead of living my faith in a way that increases that direction,

변론하는 게 신앙생활이

Arguing is a part of faith life.

인 것처럼 된다는 거예요. 그렇죠?

It's like it becomes that way, right?

헛된 말에 빠진다는 거예요. 그래요.

It's about falling into empty words. That's right.

그래서 내가 마치 스승인 것처럼

So I feel like a master.

종교 지도자인 것처럼 신앙이 좋은

Like a religious leader, they have strong faith.

사람인 것처럼 생각되지만

It seems like I'm a person, but...

사실은 내가 뭔 말 하고 있는지도

The truth is, I don't even know what I'm saying.

모르는 상태가 되는 게 이들 가운데

Among them, becoming unaware is...

발생한다는 거예요. 발생했다는 거. 근데

It's happening. It's already happened. But...

디모데가 그것을 건강하게 지도하고 있지

Dimo is managing it healthily.

못한다는 거죠. 그렇죠?

It means you can't do it, right?

반복적으로 이런 일이 교회 내에서

This kind of thing happens repeatedly within the church.

발생하고요. 한국 교회 내에서 있는 중요한

It occurs. It is important within the Korean church.

이치들 중에 하나입니다. 사람들은요

It's one of the ones. People...

텍스트를 해석하고

Interpret the text and

텍스트를 어떻게 해석할 수 있는 능력이 있고

You have the ability to interpret the text.

이 텍스트는 이런 의미다 저런 의미다

This text means this or that.

이렇게 봐야 된다 저렇게 봐야 된다라고요

You have to look at it this way or that way.

성경에 대해서 논쟁할 수

Can debate about the Bible.

있는 게 성경 공부를

Having a Bible study

어떤 심화에서 할 수 있는 게

What can be done in some depth?

자기의 신앙 수준이라고 생각하는 사람들도 있어요.

There are people who think it's their level of faith.

그래서 더 심화 더 심화

So deeper, deeper.

더 심화를 할 수 있으면 그게 신앙이 높은

If you can deepen it further, that is a higher faith.

거라고 생각하는 사람도 있어요. 여러분 그럼

Some people think so. Then, everyone,

공부 못하는 사람은 어떻게 신앙이 성숙합니까?

How can a person who struggles with studying mature in their faith?

안 그래요?

Isn't that right?

어떤 사람은 불필요한 교리적인 논쟁들

Some people engage in unnecessary doctrinal debates.

뭐 불필요하다고 얘기하니까 기초적인

You say it's unnecessary, so it's basic.

그러니까 성경 공부가 잘못된 게 아닌 것처럼

So it's not like Bible study is wrong.

그 교리 논쟁도 잘못된 건 아닌데 별로

The doctrinal debate isn't necessarily wrong, but it's not much.

중요하지 않은 교리적인 논쟁들에서

In insignificant doctrinal disputes.

빠져서 그 마치 그 교리

Falling into that, as if that doctrine.

논쟁에 대해서 논쟁하고

Debate about the debate.

설명하고 논리를 갖게 되는 걸

Having an explanation and reasoning.

신앙의 성수라고 얘기하는 사람들이 있어요. 신라시대

There are people who say it is the sacred water of faith. During the Silla period.

사람들이 구원 받았냐 타정고의 관계는 어떻게

How is the relationship of others regarding whether people have been saved?

볼 거냐 창조론이 맞냐 진화론이 맞냐

Are you going to watch, is creationism correct or is evolutionism correct?

이런 거에서 어떤 디펜스 논리나

What kind of defense logic is there in something like this?

남들이 보기에 세련된 논리를 내가 갖추고

Having a sophisticated logic that others can see.

있으면 종교적인 의미나 활동에서

If there is, in religious meaning or activity

내가 설명해낼 수 있으면 그것이 내가 신앙이

If I can explain it, that is my faith.

성숙했다고 얘기하는 사람도 있단 말이에요. 그렇죠?

Some people say they are mature. Right?

어떤 사람들은

Some people

그냥 교회가 건강하게

Just let the church be healthy.

운영되고 있는가에 대해서 논의하는

Discussing whether it is being operated.

것 자체가 마치 자기 신앙의 성수를 생각하는

The thing itself is reminiscent of thinking about the holy water of one's own faith.

사람도 있어요. 한국교회가 어떠고

There are people too. What is the Korean church like?

재정경건성이 어떻게 돼야 되고

What should financial piety be like?

뭐 어떻게 돼야 되고 필요한 얘기죠.

It's about what needs to happen and what is necessary to discuss.

내가 지금 성경 공부가 필요 없고

I don't need Bible study right now.

내가 지금 교리 논쟁이 필요 없고

I don't need a doctrinal debate right now.

내가 지금 교회 공동체적 논의가 필요 없다고

I don't need a community discussion in the church right now.

얘기하는 게 아니에요. 하지만

It's not about talking. But...

하지만 그런 부분들에 대해서

But regarding those aspects,

논의하고 있는 것이 마치

What we are discussing is as if...

자기의 신앙 생활이고

It's one's own faith life.

신앙 수준이냐 생각하는 문화가

Is it a culture that thinks about the level of faith?

문제라는 거죠. 그렇죠?

That's the problem, right?

얼마나 여러분이

How much you are?

이게 얼마나

How much is this?

우스운 거예요. 옛날에 우리가 이것들에 대해서

It's funny. In the past, we talked about these things.

얘기한 적이 있어요. 그렇죠? 교회에 어떤 옷을

I've mentioned it before, haven't I? What clothes to wear to church.

입고 와야 되냐. 반바지는 안 된다. 슬리퍼는

Do I have to wear it? Shorts are not allowed. What about slippers?

안 된다. 모자 쓰고 오지 마라. 염색하면

No. Don't come wearing a hat. If you dye it...

안 된다. 여러분 그건 중요한 게 아니잖아요. 그렇죠?

No, that's not okay. Everyone, that's not what's important, right?

중요한 게 아니에요. 그런데 아주

It's not important. But very...

오랫동안 한국교회는 마치 그것이 굉장히

For a long time, the Korean church has acted as if it is very

핵심적인 문제인 것처럼 그 논리를 취하고 있었단 말이에요.

They were adopting that logic as if it were the core issue.

단정하게 사람들이

Neatly, people.

와서 예배 시간에 앉아있으면 뭐가 된 것처럼 착각했단 말이야.

I thought that just sitting here during the worship service meant something.

뭐가 없어도 선한 양심

Even without anything, a good conscience.

청결한 마음, 거짓 손 믿으면 사랑이

A clean heart, believing in a false hand, is love.

집중하지 않고. 그렇죠? 그런 부분들이

Not focusing. Right? Those parts.

있었기 때문에 이 얘기를 하는 거죠.

I'm saying this because it happened.

그러니까 우리 안에

So within us

불필요한 논쟁들과

Unnecessary arguments and

불필요한 설명들을 해내고

Providing unnecessary explanations.

또 그것을 불필요하다는 건 아니지만

It's not that it's unnecessary, but...

그렇게까지 중요하지 않은 것을 해내고

Doing something that isn't that important.

그것이 마치 신앙이냐 생각하는 게

Thinking of that as if it were faith.

우리 안에 문제라는 거죠. 그렇죠?

The problem is within us. Right?

그것이 우리 안에 문제라고

That's the problem within us.

바울이 얘기하고 있는 부분들입니다.

This is what Paul is talking about.

남회순도 그렇잖아요.

That's true for Nam Hwa-soon too.

남회숨의 재정보고를

Report on the finances of Nam Hwe-soom.

좋아하시는 친구들이 있어요. 우리는 한 달에 한 번

You have friends you like. We meet once a month.

입금 출금 내역들을 다 그냥

Just everything about the deposit and withdrawal details.

재정보고를 하니까. 목사가 양복을

When I reported the finances, the pastor was wearing a suit.

안 입고 티셔츠를 입고 프리하게 되게

Wear it freely with a t-shirt instead of putting it on.

설교하는 걸 어떤 교회의 자유로움으로

The freedom of preaching in a certain church.

받아들이는 경우도 있는 것 같아요.

I think there are cases where it is accepted.

교회에 어떤 조직이 없고 조직으로

There is no organization in the church and as an organization.

어떤 사람들한테 일을 시키지 않고

Without assigning work to certain people

헌금에 대해서 강요하지 않고 이런 것들에 대해서

Without forcing contributions and regarding these matters

얘기하는 친구들, 건강하다고

Friends who are talking, stay healthy.

얘기하는 친구들도 있어요. 하지만 여러분

There are friends who talk. But everyone...

재정보고한다고 건강한 교회도

Even a healthy church reports its finances.

아니고요. 자유복 입는다고 건강한

No, wearing casual clothes doesn't make you healthy.

교회도 아니고요. 사람들을 푸시하지 않는다고

It's not a church either. I'm saying that I don't push people.

건강한 교회가 아닌 게 아니에요.

It's not that it's not a healthy church.

사람이 거기서

The person is there.

청결한 마음과 선한 양심과 거짓

Clean heart, good conscience, and deceit.

원트 믿음에는 사랑이 증진되고 있을 때

When love is being enhanced in a desire for faith.

그 교회가 건강한 교회라고 얘기하는 거예요.

They are saying that the church is a healthy church.

그냥 중요하지 않은 것이

It's just something not important.

마치 중요한 핵심인 것처럼

As if it were the important core.

얘기되는 거. 목사님

What is being discussed, Pastor?

기존 교회 자꾸 비판할 쪽으로 생각하지

You keep thinking in a way that criticizes the existing church.

말고. 목사님 여기는

No. Pastor, this is here.

우리 교회는 그래도 이렇고

Our church is still like this.

재정리 이렇고 활동 이렇고

The reorganization is like this and the activities are like this.

문화가 이러니까 우리는 건강하다.

Because of this culture, we are healthy.

그런 게 어딨어요. 그게 도대체 뭐가 의미가

Where is that even possible? What on earth does that mean?

있는데. 그냥 그게 편하니까 그렇게

I have it. It's just more convenient that way.

하는 거예요. 그건 스타일 문제예요.

It's about doing it. It's a matter of style.

여러분 스타일은 진리가 아닙니다.

Your style is not the truth.

스타일은 복음도 아니고요. 스타일은 핵심도 아니고요.

진입하면 어떻게 해요? 덕을 세우기 위해서 아무도

What should we do when we enter? No one does it to build virtue.

그 사람 욕을 하면 안 되는 분위기가 되면 안 된다는 거예요.

It means we shouldn't create an atmosphere where we can speak ill of that person.

두세 사람의

a couple of people

증인이 있으면요. 잘못한 게

If there is a witness, then. What's wrong is...

있으면 엄격하게 꾸짖고

If there is, scold strictly.

공의가 세워질 수 있도록 해야 된다.

We must ensure that justice is established.

편견 없이 하는 부분들에서

In the areas done without prejudice.

얘기하는 부분들이 있는 거고요.

There are parts that talk about it.

그 다음에는 아무리거나 경솔하게 안수하지 말고

Then, do not lay hands carelessly or thoughtlessly on anyone.

다른 사람의 죄에 간섭하지 말고

Do not interfere in other people's sins.

내 자신을 지켜 정결하고

To protect myself and remain pure.

물만 마시지 말고 병을 위해서

Don't just drink water, but for the sake of the bottle.

포도주도 조금 마시고

이런 얘기들을 합니다. 그렇죠?

왜 이런 얘기들을 할까요?

Why do we talk about such things?

또 하나는 디모데 자신의

Another one is Timothy's own.

태도에 대해서. 내가 보기에는 디모데가

About the attitude. In my view, Timothy...

조금 완벽주의가 있었던 것 같아요.

I think I had a bit of perfectionism.

그러니까는

표현을 좀 바꿔보면요.

디모데는

과도하게 개입하는 것들에서

In excessive interventions.

다 안수해서

So that everything is blessed.

다 영적으로 변화시키고 싶고

From everyone's sins

해결해내고 싶고 하는데

I want to resolve it, but...

내 자신을 지키지 못하게 하는

상황이 되고 특별히 대표적인

The situation has become particularly representative.

예 중의 하나로 내가 몸에 병이 있기 때문에

One of the reasons is that I have an illness in my body.

포도주를 좀 마시는 게 좋은데

It would be good to drink some wine.

혹시 이것 때문에 안 좋게 얘기하는 사람들이

Are there people who speak negatively because of this?

있을까봐

I might have it.

술을 입에도 되지 않고

I can't even drink.

막 이런 식으로 했단 말이에요.

I mean, it was done like this.

그런데 바로 그러지 말라는 거예요.

But I'm telling you not to do that.

모든 사람의 죄에서 네가

You are from the sins of all people.

그 사람을 자유하게 할 수 있는 것도 아니고

It can't set that person free either.

모든 사람들의 죄에 개입해서

Involvement in the sins of all people.

모든 사람의 죄에서 자유하게 할 수 있는

Able to free everyone from their sins.

능력이 너한테 있는 것도 아니고

It's not that you have the ability.

모든 사람에게 안수해서

Lay hands on everyone.

안수해서 네가 은사가 있고

I bless you, and you have a gift.

능력이 있잖아.

You have the ability.

네가 안수한다고 다 해결되고

Just because you lay your hands doesn't mean everything is solved.

고천받고 변화되는 것도 아니고. 그렇죠?

It's not like it's changed just because you received a message. Isn't that right?

그러니까는 그리고 그 기준에

So, according to that standard...

지금 너한테는 그 정도 관대함이 필요한데

You need that kind of generosity right now.

혹시나 누가 뭐라고 할까봐

Just in case someone says something.

맞지도 않는 기준으로 뭐라고 할까봐

I’m worried about what to say based on criteria that don't even match.

전정근간에서 너무 엄격하게 할까봐.

I’m worried that I might be too strict in the anterior cruciate ligament.

그 기준을 자기에 제시하고

Presenting that standard to oneself

이러지 말라는 거예요. 그렇죠?

I'm telling you not to do this. Right?

디모데에게 필요한 것은 과도하지 않은 것이다.

What Timothy needs is not excessive.

어쩌면서 바울은

What happened to Paul?

디모데는 바울 다음에 사역하면서

Timothy served in ministry after Paul.

자기 가운데 있는 능력과 기회

The abilities and opportunities within oneself.

그리고 자기 가운데 있는 의미, 한계

And the meaning and limitations within oneself.

이것들을 제대로 인식하지 못하고

Not properly recognizing these things.

너무 오버페이스 하고 있는 부분이

There are parts that are too overdone.

디모데의 문제가 아닐까요?

Isn't it a problem with the Dimode?

라고 저는 좀 생각하는데

I think that way.

그러다 보니까 모든 사람의 문제를 해결해 주고 싶고

As a result, I want to solve everyone's problems.

모든 논쟁을 해결해 주고 싶고

I want to resolve all disputes.

모든 일들에 뛰어들고

Diving into everything.

그리고

And

어

Uh.

내가 지키지 않아도 되는 기준까지

Up to the standards that I don't have to uphold.

모든 기준들을 다 지켜내야 되고

All standards must be upheld.

이런 식의 문제들이 생기니까

Problems like this arise.

그렇죠?

That's right, isn't it?

좀 건강성에서 해쳐진 것이 아닌가

Isn't it somewhat damaging to health?

라고 생각합니다.

지나친 열정과 지나친

Excessive passion and excessive

지나친 욕심은 아니지만

It's not excessive greed, but...

지나친 열정이 그에게 해롭지 않나

Isn't his excessive passion harmful to him?

라는 생각을 좀 해봅니다. 그렇죠?

I think about that a bit. Right?

그래서 바울이 좀 하는 얘기가

So Paul is saying something like this.

어떤 사람의 죄는 밝히려나 먼저 심판으로 나가고

Some people's sins are revealed before they go out for judgment.

어떤 사람의 죄는 그 뒤를 따르고

The sin of some people follows them.

이와 같이 선행도 밝히더라고

In this way, it is also clear that there are good deeds.

그렇지 아니하는 것도 숨길 수 없다라고 얘기합니다.

It says that it cannot hide what is not true.

뭐예요?

What is it?

하나님이 살아계시기 때문에

Because God is alive.

네가 하는 것이 맞기 때문에

Because what you are doing is right.

악은 악으로 드러나고

Evil reveals itself as evil.

선은 선으로 드러난다.

The line is revealed by the line.

그러니까 선한 일은 열매를 맺힐 것이고

So good deeds will bear fruit.

악한 것은 결국 잘 안 될 것이다.

Evil things will ultimately not go well.

그러니까 그 어떤 신뢰감과 기대감을 가지고 가야지

So you have to go with some sense of trust and expectation.

너무 이렇게 어깨에 힘주고 가지 마라

Don't go like that, tensing your shoulders too much.

라는 겉면으로

with the surface that says

오작 얘기들이 좀 이어지고 있습니다. 그렇죠?

There are some odd stories continuing, right?

그래서 이제 하나도는

So now, one is...

아까 얘기했던 부분이죠.

It's the part we talked about earlier.

종들은 자기 상전에게 범사에 공경할지니

Slaves are to be respectful to their masters in all things.

하나님의 이름으로

In the name of God

하나님의 이름을 비방받지 않게 하려 합니다.

I try to prevent the name of God from being blasphemed.

믿지 않는 상전이 있는지

Is there a master who does not believe?

믿는 상전은 형제라고 가볍게 대하고

The master that you trust is treated lightly like a brother.

믿지 않는 상전은 또 함부로 대하고

The master who does not trust treats carelessly.

이런 식의 문화에 대해서도

Regarding this kind of culture as well

바울이 다시 한번 지적한 부분이 있죠.

Paul pointed out something once again.

아까랑 연결되는 거겠죠.

It must be connected to what we talked about earlier.

사회생활할 때 신앙이라고 하면서

When talking about faith in the context of social life,

믿는 사람들끼리 신앙생활할 때는

When believers live their faith together,

좀 배려해줘야지 라고 해서

You should be a bit considerate.

아랫사람들이 함부로 행동하고

Subordinates act recklessly.

그리고 믿는 사람들이랑 할 때는 그러고

And when I'm with people I trust, I do that too.

믿지 않는 사람들이랑 할 때는

When dealing with people who don't believe.

저 사람이 불이하기 때문에

Because that person is a firefighter.

내가 함부로 해도 된다 라고 또 함부로 행동하고

"I can do it carelessly, so I act carelessly again."

이런 식으로 하는 사람들에 대해서

About people who do it this way.

바로 지도해야 된다.

It must be taught right away.

얘기하는 부분들이 있는 거죠.

There are parts where we talk.

바울의 포인트들을 잘 아시겠습니까?

Do you understand Paul's points well?

이 긴장선 잘 봐야 돼요.

You need to pay close attention to this tension line.

목격이 정말

The witness really.

되게 목사한테는 꼭 필요한 말씀들

Words that are very necessary for a pastor.

가족으로서 대해야 되고

You should treat them as family.

그리고

And

약한 사람이 선한 사람인 것처럼

As if a weak person is a good person.

교회를 좌지우지해서

To manipulate the church.

교회의 질서를

The order of the church

해야 하는 것이 돼서는 안 되고

It should not become something that needs to be done.

그리고 건강한 지도자들에게

And to healthy leaders

과도한 부담을 지으는 것이

Taking on excessive burden.

안 되고

No.

그리고 지도자라고 해서

And just because you're a leader...

그가 잘못했는데도

Even though he was wrong

덮고 지나가는 것도 되지 않는 것이고

It's not something that can just be covered up and passed over.

그리고 기독교 내 사회생활이

And the social life within Christianity.

건강하지 않고

Not healthy

방만하고 게으르게 행동하고 있어야 하는 불구하고

Despite having to act sloppily and lazily.

그것이 방치돼서도 안 되는 것이고

That cannot be left unattended.

이런 여러 가지 측면들을

These various aspects

5장 중에서 얘기를 하는 부분들이 있습니다.

There are parts where we talk about Chapter 5.

그리고 이제는 6장 3절부터는 엔딩이죠.

And now, starting from verse 3 of chapter 6, it's the ending.

뭐예요?

What is it?

아까 처음에 했던 예로 다시 돌아가죠.

Let's go back to the example I mentioned earlier.

누구든지 바른 교훈을 하며 바른 말

Anyone who teaches the right lesson and speaks the right words.

경건해가는 교훈을 따르지 아니하면

If one does not follow the lesson of becoming more devout.

그는 교만하고

He is arrogant and

아무것도 알지 못하고

Knowing nothing.

변론과 언쟁을 좋아하고

Likes debate and arguments.

투기바풀하고

Remove speculation.

군쟁과 비방과 악한 생각이 나오며

Conflicts, slander, and evil thoughts arise.

마음이 부패하고

The heart is corrupted.

진리를 잃어버려

Lose the truth.

경건을 이익의 방도로 생각하는 자들이니

They are those who think of godliness as a means of gain.

다툼이 일어난다.

A dispute arises.

라고 얘기합니다.

They say so.

이 사람은 어떤 잘못된 종교 지도자상에 대해서 얘기한 거죠.

This person is talking about a flawed image of a religious leader.

진짜 내면이 변화되는 경건한 건 추구하지 않으면서

While not seeking genuine inner transformation,

지가 잘났고

I am great.

그래서 자기 논쟁에서 이기려고 하고

So they try to win in their argument.

그리고 자기가 그것 때문에 더 높아지려고 하고

And because of that, they are trying to rise higher.

그것으로 어떻게 한 건

How did you do that with it?

이익을 얻으려고 하고

Trying to gain profit.

그렇죠?

Right?

이런 잘못된 종교 지도자들이

These misguided religious leaders

싸들어 다니지 못하도록

So that you can't carry it around.

이런 잘못된 종교 지도자가 제가 되면 안 돼요.

I shouldn't become a misguided religious leader like this.

우리가 돼서는 안 되겠죠.

We shouldn't become that.

그렇게 얘기하면서 뭐 하는 거예요?

What are you doing while saying that?

자족하는 마음이 있으면 경건해의 큰 이익이 있다.

If you have a contented heart, there are great benefits to piety.

이 세상에 아무것도 가지고 온 것이 없으니까

Because we brought nothing into this world.

아무것도 가지고 가지 않을 것이다.

I will take nothing with me.

먹는 거가 입은 것을 족한 줄 여기고

Consider what you eat to be enough.

부하려고 하는 자들은 시험에 빠지고

Those who desire to be rich fall into temptation.

돈을 사랑하면 악한 것에 빠지니까

If you love money, you will fall into evil.

부하려고 하거나 돈을 사랑하거나

Trying to become wealthy or loving money.

내가 여기서 돈을 사랑하면 악한 것에 빠지니까

If I love money here, I will fall into evil.

뭔가 더 가지려고 하지 말고

Don't try to want more.

내가 입을 것과 먹을 것 있으면 다 있다고 생각하고

I think I have everything I need to wear and eat.

오로지 뭐예요?

What is it exactly?

믿음의 선한 싸움을 싸우고

Fight the good fight of faith.

경건을 추구하고

Pursuing piety

그렇죠?

That's right, isn't it?

하나님의 사람은 이것들을 피하고

A man of God should avoid these things.

의와 경건과 믿음과 사랑과 인내의 온유를 따르며

Following the gentleness of righteousness, godliness, faith, love, and patience.

믿음의 선한 싸움을 싸우라

Fight the good fight of faith.

영생을 취하라

Take eternal life.

이렇게 얘기하죠. 그렇죠?

Let's say it like this. Right?

이 진짜 중요한 이 복음에 집중해서 네가 살아가는 것

Live focusing on this truly important gospel.

이게 종교 지도자

This is a religious leader.

바른 종교 지도자

Righteous religious leader

네가 해야 되는 모습이고

It's the way you should be.

그렇지 않은 상황에서

In a situation that is not so.

이 사람은 잘못된 걸 네가 선명하게 인식할 필요가 있다고

You need to clearly recognize that this person is wrong.

얘기를 하는 거죠. 그렇죠?

We're having a conversation, right?

그래서 엔딩되면요

So, what happens at the ending?

마무리하면 디모네전서 전체는

In conclusion, the entire book of 1 Timothy is

뭐가 신앙이고 뭐가 목행가라고 얘기하는데

What is faith and what is the way of the shepherd?

뭐가 목행가보다 뭐가 신앙인가가 되게 중요하겠죠. 그렇죠?

What's more important, what is faith or what is a path to a goal? That's really important, right?

신앙이라고 얘기하는 것은

What we call faith is

내가 어떤 영적인 종교적인 논리와 지식을 쌓는 것도 아니에요.

I'm not building any spiritual or religious logic and knowledge.

그리고 어떤 금욕생활함으로 말미암아

And as a result of living an ascetic life

그 금욕생활을 통해서 내가 뭔가

Through that ascetic lifestyle, I learned something.

내 자신을 드러내는 것도 아니고

It's not about revealing myself.

사회적인 부분을 드러내는 것도 아니에요.

It doesn't reveal the social aspect either.

불의의 한거라는 표현에

The expression of an unexpected incident

불의의 불의로 싸움 박제를 하고 있으면서

While struggling with an unexpected injustice

내가 마치 의롭다라고 스스로 치장하는 것도 아니고

I'm not trying to embellish myself as if I were righteous.

그런 사람들이 지도자가 되어서 교회를 다스리고

People like that become leaders and govern the church.

교회의 기준과 질서가 없이

Without the standards and order of the church.

약한 사람들이 스스로

Weak people themselves

약한 사람들이 교회에 비를 붓고

Weak people pour rain on the church.

그리고 막

And just

그리고 그 다음에 무슨 얘기였지?

And what was the next topic?

그리고 바르지 않은 기준들로

And with incorrect standards.

서로가 서로를 평가하고 판단하고

Evaluating and judging each other.

그래서 신앙인들은

So believers

권고하는 사람들은 과도한 부담을 갖고

Those who recommend have excessive burdens.

이것을 어찌할 바를 몰라서

Not knowing what to do with this.

서로를 너무 억압할 정도로

To the extent that we overly suppress each other.

오버페이스 하면서 일하게 되고

I ended up working while overdoing it.

이렇게 되면 안 된다라는 거예요.

It shouldn't be like this.

이런 방향으로 교회에 가서는 안 되고

You should not go to church in this direction.

교회라고 하는 건 신앙이라고 하는 건

What is called the church, what is called faith

청결한 마음, 내가 죄에서 마음이 자유해지는 것이고

A pure heart, it is being free from sin in my heart.

선한 양심, 거짓 없는 믿음에 사는 사랑

Love that lives in a good conscience and a faith without deceit.

이것으로 내 내면이 바뀌고

This will change my inner self.

삶이 바뀌는 것

Changing one's life

그래서 그것에 내가 집중하는 것

So that's what I'm focusing on.

이것이 바로 신앙이다.

This is exactly what faith is.

이것을 내가 하는 것이고

This is what I am doing.

이것을 주변에 하는 것이고

This is something done around you.

이것을 주변에 하게 하는 것이

Making this happen around you.

신앙과 공동체라는 걸 우리가 집중하고

Let's focus on faith and community.

단순성과 선명성에

To simplicity and clarity.

이 진정성에 우리가 집중해야 된다.

We need to focus on this sincerity.

그렇죠?

That's right, isn't it?

신앙은 논쟁이 아니라 진정한 자기 변화다.

Faith is not a debate, but true personal transformation.

라는 부분들을 디모데 전서에

those parts in 1 Timothy

굉장히 강조해서 이야기를 하고 있습니다.

이 부분을 우리가 기억해야 될 것 같고요.

왜곡된 신앙을 만든다는 것을 기억해서

Remember that it creates a distorted faith.

우리가 꼭 이런 자족한 마음

We must have this contented heart.

내가 오늘 먹고 살 게 있으면

If I have something to eat and live on today.

감사한 줄 알고

Thinking that you are grateful.

오늘 먹고 잘 때가 있으니까

There are times when I eat well and sleep well today.

나머지 생활을 할 수가 있잖아요.

You can live the rest of your life, can't you?

생활이라는 기회를

The opportunity of life.

이 경건의 싸움에

In this fight of piety

내가 투자해야 된다고 얘기하고 있습니다.

I am saying that I need to invest.
