[창세기 113강]요셉이 형들을 용서하다 (창 50:15-26)

오늘은 창세기 50장 마지막 부분을 마무리하는 말씀을 나누겠습니다.

Today, I will share a message concluding the last part of Genesis chapter 50.

요셉이 형들을 용서하다 창세기의 결론은 용서로 끝납니다.

Joseph forgives his brothers. The conclusion of Genesis ends with forgiveness.

인생의 출발이 출산이라고 한다면 인생의 마지막 끝은 죽음입니다.

If the beginning of life is birth, then the final end of life is death.

죽음은 그 어느 누구도 피할 수 없는 명제임과 동시에 인생의 끝입니다.

Death is a proposition that no one can escape, and at the same time, it is the end of life.

죽음을 어떻게 이해하느냐 죽음을 어떻게 맞아들이느냐가 영생을 결정합니다.

How you understand death and how you accept it determines eternal life.

죽음은 영생의 시작입니다.

Death is the beginning of eternal life.

믿음의 조상 아브라함도 죽었고 이삭도 죽었고 오늘 성경에 보면 야곱도 죽습니다.

The father of faith, Abraham, died, and Isaac died, and today in the Bible, Jacob also dies.

그리고 여러분도 죽습니다. 나도 죽습니다.

And you will die too. I will die as well.

이 사실을 받아들이십시오.

Accept this fact.

여러분이 죽는다는 사실을 잊지 마세요.

Don't forget that you will die.

오늘 기억하고 사세요.

Remember this today.

피하지 마십시오. 죽음은 현실입니다.

Do not avoid it. Death is reality.

어떻게 받아들이느냐 어떻게 준비하느냐만 남아있습니다.

It only remains to consider how to accept it and how to prepare for it.

잘 준비하고 잘 받아들인 사람에게는 영생의 축복이 있습니다.

Those who prepare well and accept well will receive the blessing of eternal life.

그러나 피하고 받아들이기를 거부하고 준비를 하지 않는 사람에게는 저주가 있습니다.

However, there is a curse for those who refuse to avoid and accept, and do not prepare.

그건 정말 죽음입니다.

That's really death.

장세기 49장 33절에 보면

In Genesis 49:33, it says

야곱의 최후의 모습을 이렇게 소개하고 있습니다.

It introduces Jacob's final appearance like this.

장세기 49장 33절 함께 같이 읽도록 하겠습니다.

Let us read Genesis 49:33 together.

야곱의 아들에게 명하기를 마치고 그 발을 침상에 거두고 기운이 지나여 그 열적으로 돌아갔더라.

After commanding Jacob's sons, he withdrew his feet from the bed and breathed his last, and was gathered to his people.

의사 선생님들이 대개 환자의 임정을 많이 보지요.

Doctors often observe a lot of patient conditions.

환자의 임정을 많이 의사 선생님 만큼 보는 사람이 있다면 목사일 거예요.

If there is someone who sees the patient's condition as much as a doctor, it would be a pastor.

목사는 한 4분.

The pastor is about 4 minutes.

사람의 죽음을 임정을 봅니다.

I see the death of a person.

죽음을 본다고 하는 것은 섬찟한 사건이 아니라 어떤 면에서 인생을 정직하게 볼 수 있는 눈을 줍니다.

Seeing death is not a horrific event; rather, in some ways, it gives you the eyes to see life honestly.

아마 목사가 나이가 어리건 만큼 간에 인생에 대해서 많이 말할 수 있는 이유가 있다면 죽음을 늘 보기 때문에 그럴 것입니다.

Perhaps the reason the pastor can speak a lot about life at a young age is because he often sees death.

장례식을 치르고 임정을 보고 마지막 가는 사람은요.

The person who attends the funeral and sees off the deceased is the last one to go.

사람들을 안내해주는 역할을 하기 때문에 그렇습니다.

This is because it serves the role of guiding people.

요셉은 아버지의 시체에 입을 맞춥니다.

Joseph kisses his father's corpse.

그리고 40일에 거쳐서 향 썩지 않도록 애급의 장례법에 의해서 그 몸을 향으로 만듭니다.

And for 40 days, the body is made into a fragrant form according to the embalming laws of Egypt to prevent decay.

그래서 애급의 시체는 미라라고 해서 이 향으로 잘 보존하기 때문에 수백 년이 지나도 그대로 보존합니다.

So the bodies of Egypt are preserved as mummies because of this resin, which allows them to remain intact for hundreds of years.

하는 기술이 그들에게 있지요.

They have the technology to do that.

40일 동안을 향으로 그 시체를 단장을 합니다.

For 40 days, the corpse is adorned with perfume.

그리고 70일을 애국을 합니다.

And for 70 days, we dedicate ourselves to patriotism.

아버지의 유언대로 요셉은 아버지 시신을 애급에 묻지 않고 약속의 땅, 자기 저상들이 묻어있는 그 묘실로 시신을 옮깁니다.

According to his father's will, Joseph does not bury his father's body in Egypt, but moves the body to the tomb in the promised land, where his ancestors are buried.

그런데 오늘 성경에 보면 50장에.

By the way, in today's Bible, it says in chapter 50.

1절부터 15절까지 보면 이 장례 행렬이 얼마나 어마어마했는지 그 장관을 이루는 장례 행렬을 소개합니다.

From verses 1 to 15, it introduces the funeral procession and describes how immense and magnificent this funeral procession was.

애급의 문화의 핵심적인 단어는 죽음, 네크로스라는 거예요.

The key word of Egyptian culture is death, necros.

그래서 스핑크스가 있고 피라믹이 있고 이집트의 한 신의 한복판에는 공동, 망오리 공동묘지 같은 사방 10킬로의 무덤은 우리식으로 말하면 명동이나 아쿠아.

So there is the Sphinx and the pyramids, and in the middle of a god from Egypt, there is a common, like the Mangwooli cemetery, a tomb that spans 10 kilometers in all directions, which, in our terms, could be compared to Myeongdong or Aqua.

그 자리에 무덤이 있습니다.

There is a grave at that spot.

모든 사람이 날마다 죽음을 묵상하고 살 수 있도록 만든 도시가 바로 애급이라는 도시입니다.

The city that allows everyone to contemplate death every day is the city of Egypt.

그리고 이 스핑크스나 피라믹에는 사자, 죽은 자의 관부터 시작해서 모든 것이 거기에 다 있죠.

And this Sphinx and pyramids contain everything from lions to the coffins of the dead.

어마어마한 대장례식이 70일 동안 진행이 됩니다.

An enormous state funeral will take place for 70 days.

이제 50장, 오늘 7절부터.

요셉이 자기 아베를 장사하되 올라가니 바로의 모든 신하와 바로공의 장로들과 애급당의 모든 장로와 요셉의 온 집과 그 형제들과 그 아베의 집이 그와 함께 올라가고

Joseph buried his father, and as he went up, all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of Pharaoh's court, all the elders of Egypt, and all the house of Joseph, along with his brothers and his father's house, went up with him.

그들의 어린 아이들과 양떼와 섯떼만 고센 땅에 남겼으며 병고와 기병이 요셉을 따라 올라가니 그 때가 심이 컸더라.

They left their young children and flocks in the land of Goshen, while the chariots and cavalry went up with Joseph, and the crowd was very great at that time.

얼마나 큰 장례.

How grand the funeral is.

양떼의 행렬이 애급에서부터 가난까지 그 먼 길을 바로의 왕궁에 있는 모든 사람이 다 동원되고 야곱의 자녀들이 다 동원이 돼서 움직이고 있는 것을 볼 수가 있습니다.

You can see the procession of the flock being mobilized from Egypt to Canaan, with everyone in Pharaoh's palace and all the children of Jacob being mobilized and moving.

우리는 50장, 7절, 8절, 9절에서 두 가지를 봅니다.

We see two things in Psalm 50, verses 7, 8, and 9.

사람은 남녀 노소 빈부 기천을 막론하고 왕이 되었든 노예가 되었든 죽고.

People, regardless of gender, age, wealth, or status, whether they become a king or a slave, will eventually die.

죽고 무덤으로 간다는 사실을 여기서 봅니다.

Here, I see the fact that we die and go to the grave.

또 하나, 여기서 중요한 메시지가 하나 있습니다.

Another important message here is.

사람이 죽을 때 하나님을 기억하면 천국으로 가고 하나님을 기억하지 못하면 지옥으로 간다는 거예요.

When a person dies, if they remember God, they go to heaven, and if they do not remember God, they go to hell.

야곱은 그의 죽음을 하나님의 말씀, 약속 위에 기초했다는 거예요.

Jacob based his death on God's word and promise.

이게 아주 중요한 겁니다.

This is very important.

그는 죽을 때 하나님을 기억했습니다.

He remembered God when he was dying.

하나님을 기억한다는 말은 뭐냐면 하나님이 내게 우리 가정해 주신 약속 위에 죽었다는 것이죠.

To remember God means that He died on the promise He gave to my family.

나를 하나님의 약속의 땅에다 묻어라. 이것은 하나님을 기억했다라는 뜻입니다.

"bury me in the land of God's promise. This means that I remembered God."

나는 여러분의 무덤에 하나님 있게 되기를 바랍니다.

I hope that God will be with you in your grave.

여러분의 죽음에 하나님 있게 되기를 바랍니다.

I hope God will be with you in your death.

하나님의 약속, 하나님의 축복, 그 위에 여러분의 죽음이 놓여져요.

God's promise, God's blessing, your death is placed upon them.

그러면 그것은 죽음입니다.

Then that is death.

죽음이 아닙니다.

It is not death.

영생이 되는 것입니다.

It means to achieve eternal life.

나는 여러분의 죽음 위에 예수 그리스도가 있게 되기를 바랍니다.

I hope that Jesus Christ will be upon your death.

나는 여러분의 죽음 위에 예수 그리스도의 놀라운 메시지들이 살아 움직이기를 바랍니다.

I hope that the amazing messages of Jesus Christ come alive over your death.

그러니 여러분의 죽음은 죽음이 아닙니다.

So your death is not death.

그것은 영생으로 바뀌어지는 것이죠.

It is transformed into eternal life.

영생으로 바뀌어지는 것이죠.

It is transformed into eternal life.

아무리 어마어마하고 화려한 장례식을,

No matter how grand and magnificent the funeral is,

그 영혼을 치루었다 하더라도 그 영혼이 지옥으로 떨어질 수 있다는 사실을 기억하십시오.

Even if that soul has been redeemed, remember that it could still fall into hell.

우리들 주변에 굉장히 화려하고 멋있는 장례식들 많잖아요.

There are many incredibly splendid and beautiful funerals around us.

모택통, 장례, 스탈린, 아직도 김일성 다 그 시신들을 갖다 놓고

Kim Il-sung still has the corpses of Kim Il-sung, the funeral, Stalin, and Mo Tae-tong placed there.

그걸 경비하고 그 육체가 썩지 않게 아무리 그렇게 만들었지만

Even if I try to guard that and prevent the flesh from decaying, no matter how much I do so,

그 영혼은 이미 지옥 간 거예요.

That soul has already gone to hell.

아무리 초라하고 보잘것없고 사람들이 떠들어보지도 않고

No matter how shabby and insignificant it is, even if people don't talk about it.

시신 하나 묻을 수 없는 그런 죽음이라 할지라도

Even if it's a death where not even a single corpse can be buried.

어떤 죽음은 정말 천국을 이루는 하나님 우편의 품에 안기는

Some deaths really embrace the bosom of God, creating a paradise at His right hand.

그런 죽음이 있을 수 있다는 것입니다.

It means that such a death can exist.

야곱의, 요셉의 아버지 야곱은 이렇게 세상을 떠났습니다.

Jacob, the father of Joseph, departed from this world like this.

이제 그 길고 화려한 장례식은 다 끝났고

Now that the long and extravagant funeral is over,

끝났고.

It's over.

그 형들은 다시 애곱으로 돌아왔고 일상생활로 돌아옵니다.

The brothers returned to Egypt and returned to their daily lives.

여기서부터 요셉의 형들의 불안이 시작이 됩니다.

This is where the anxiety of Joseph's brothers begins.

아버지의 죽음은 요셉의 형들에게 있어서는 불안의 시작이었다.

The death of their father was the beginning of anxiety for Joseph's brothers.

요셉의 형들은 아버지의 죽음을 어떻게 이해를 했느냐 하면

Joseph's brothers understood their father's death in a way that

아버지가 죽었기 때문에 우리의 보호막이 없어졌다.

Our shield has disappeared because our father has died.

아버지 때문에 자기 동생 요셉이 자기들에게 복수하지 아니하고

Because of their father, their brother Joseph does not take revenge on them.

자기들을 봐줬는데 이제 아버지가 죽고 나니까

They were taken care of, but now that their father has passed away...

자기들을 보호해 줄 만한 보호막이 다 없어졌다고

They said that all the shields capable of protecting them have disappeared.

요셉의 형들은 생각을 한 겁니다.

Joseph's brothers were thinking.

그러니까 불안해지기 시작합니다.

So I start to feel anxious.

그렇기 때문에 두려움이 사로잡히기 시작합니다.

That's why fear starts to take hold.

우리가 과거에 내 동생 요셉에게 못다한다고요.

We couldn't do it for my brother Joseph in the past.

탈질. 저 인간으로서는 못할 짓을 했던 과거가 있어요.

Degradation. There is a past where I did things that a human should not do.

그 과거를 생각만 하면 아주 몸이 어싸어싸합니다.

Just thinking about that past makes my body feel very uncomfortable.

만약에 내 동생 요셉이 지금 애곱의 총리인데

If my brother Joseph is currently the prime minister of Egypt...

그 옛날의 사건을 마음속에 풀지 않고 복수를 한다면

If you don't resolve the events of the past in your heart and seek revenge instead.

우리의 미래는 어떻게 될 것인가.

What will our future be like?

우리의 자식들의 미래는 어떻게 될 것인가 라는 생각을 하게 됩니다.

I find myself thinking about what the future of our children will be like.

불신앙은 불안을 가져옵니다.

Unbelief brings anxiety.

어떤 사람은 불안을 자꾸 쌓는 사람이었어요.

Some people are those who keep accumulating anxiety.

상상력을 극대화합니다.

Maximizes imagination.

그래가지고 잊지도 않는 미래를 현재로 끌어들여서 불안을 가정시킵니다.

So it brings a future that is not even forgotten into the present, creating anxiety.

이것이 계속되면 머리가 아파요.

If this keeps happening, I will get a headache.

자꾸 타이너로 먹어야 돼요.

I keep having to eat with a timer.

왠지 모르게 불안해. 잠이 안 와요.

I feel inexplicably uneasy. I can't sleep.

밤새도록.

All night long.

이리저리 잠이 안 오고요. 깊은 잠을 먹었죠.

I can't seem to fall asleep no matter what. I had a deep sleep.

그리고 이런 생각이 계속되면 우울증에 빠져요.

And if these thoughts continue, I fall into depression.

계절만 바꿔도 우울해지고 어떤 사건만 생겨도 가슴이...

Just changing the season makes me feel depressed, and any incident that happens makes my heart...

왜 그러냐면 그 사건 때문이 아니요.

It's not because of that incident.

그 안에 있는 깊은 불안, 두려움, 염려 때문에 그런 것이죠.

It's because of the deep anxiety, fear, and concern within.

그런 내용이 오늘 15절에 기록되어 있어요.

That content is recorded in verse 15 today.

이 사람들이 어떤 불안, 어떤 두려움.

What anxieties and fears these people have.

어떤 두려움을 가지고 있었는가 하는 것을 15절에 보십시오.

Look at verse 15 to see what fears they had.

시작.

Start.

요셉이 형제들이 그 아비의 죽음을 보고 말하되

Joseph's brothers said when they saw their father's death

요셉이 혹시 우리를 위하여 우리가 그 행한 모든 악을 다 갚지나 아니할까 하고

Joseph might possibly repay us for all the evil we did to him.

이렇게 돼 있죠.

This is how it is set up.

요셉의 형들은 과거의 행적, 과거에 자기들이 요셉에게 행했던 용서받지 못할 일을 잘 알고 있어요.

Joseph's brothers are well aware of their past actions and the unforgivable things they did to Joseph.

우리는 가끔 이 세상에서 이런 거 용서받을 수 없는.

Sometimes, we cannot be forgiven for things like this in this world.

그런 일들이 있어요.

Such things happen.

하나님에겐 용서못할 일이 없지만 우리 인간들에게는 용서받을 수 없는 그런 일들이 있죠.

There is nothing that God cannot forgive, but there are things that we humans cannot forgive.

그럼에도 불구하고 이 요셉의 형들이 요셉에 의해서 보호를 받았던 것은

Nevertheless, the reason Joseph's brothers were protected by Joseph is that

요셉이 자기들을 용서해서 그런 것이 아니라 아버지 체면 때문에 그런 것이다라고 요셉의 형들은 그렇게 해석하고 있었어요.

Joseph's brothers interpreted it as him not forgiving them, but rather it was because of their father's face.

그래서 요셉의 형들은 다시 원초적인 불안, 근본적인 불안으로 돌아온 것입니다.

So Joseph's brothers have returned to a primordial anxiety, a fundamental anxiety.

불안의 문제는 어떤 행위에 있지 아니하고 원초적인 데 있습니다.

The problem of anxiety lies not in any action, but in the primordial.

인간 존재 자체가 죄인이라는 불안이 있습니다.

There is a fear that human existence itself is sinful.

아담 이후로부터 인간은 태어날 때부터 의식이 없었을 때는 그런 생각을 하네요.

Since Adam, humans have such thoughts when they are born without consciousness.

그러나 인간이 소위 의식활동, 생각, 사고라는 것들은요.

However, what is commonly referred to as conscious activities, thoughts, and reasoning in humans.

그런 것을 하기 시작하면서부터는 아담의 죄의식, 죄의 본능, 원초적인 죄의 본능이

Since starting to do such things, Adam's guilt, the instinct of sin, the primal instinct of sin...

인간의 그 영혼 깊은 곳에 뿌리를 내리고 있는 것이죠.

It is rooted deep in the human soul.

그래서 우리는 이런 것들을 잃어버리기 위해서 여러 가지 수단을 씁니다.

So we use various means to lose these things.

친구를 만나고 사람을 만나고 연애도 하고 공부도 하고 유명해지기도 하고

Meeting friends, meeting people, dating, studying, and becoming famous.

어떤 비즈니스하고 직업도 가지고.

I have a certain business and job.

하면서 열심히 살아가면서 이 근본적인 문제는 손을 대려고 하지 않아요.

While living diligently, we do not try to address this fundamental issue.

내가 성공했을 때, 모든 것을 성취했을 때, 모든 것을 다 가졌을 때 우리는 그 문제가 내 안에 있다는 것을 다시 발견합니다.

When I succeed, when I achieve everything, when I have it all, we rediscover that the problem lies within me.

야곱의 형들은 다시 불안해지기 시작했다.

Jacob's brothers began to feel anxious again.

두 가지 이유겠죠? 죄의식 때문에 그래요.

There are probably two reasons, right? It's because of guilt.

죄의식은 우리에게 불안을 가져준다.

Guilt brings us anxiety.

용서받지 못한 죄, 해결되지 않는 죄는 괜찮은 게 아니에요.

An unforgiven sin, an unresolved sin, is not okay.

임시방편으로 그것을 물러났다고 하더라도 그 죄의식은 근본적으로 어디서인지 모르지만 나를 불안하게 만듭니다.

Even if I temporarily step back from it, that sense of guilt fundamentally makes me anxious, without knowing where it comes from.

나를 두려워하게 합니다.

It makes me scared.

이런 것이죠.

This is how it is.

과거가 용서받지 못할 때 사람은 두려워합니다.

When the past cannot be forgiven, people feel fear.

또 한 가지 두려움이 있어요.

I have one more fear.

미래가 불투명할 때 사람은 두려워합니다.

When the future is uncertain, people feel afraid.

요셉이 나한테 잘해줄 거냐 못해줄 거냐 할 수가 없어요.

I can't say whether Joseph will treat me well or not.

확신이 없는 거예요.

I'm not sure.

잘해줄 수도 있고 못해줄 수도 있기 때문에 항상 긴장하는 거예요.

It's because I can either do well or not do well, so I am always tense.

초조한 거예요.

I'm anxious.

마음을 툭 놓고 인생을 살지를 못해요.

I can't live life with my heart completely at ease.

항상 무슨 일이 생길지를 모르니까.

Because you never know when something will happen.

16절, 17절을 읽겠습니다.

I will read verses 16 and 17.

시작.

Start.

요셉에게 말을 전하여 가르되 당신의 아버지가 돌아가시기 전에 명하여사 이르시기를 너희는 이같이 요셉에게 이르라.

Tell Joseph, 'Before your father died, he commanded you to say, "You are to say to Joseph..."'

너희 형들이 내게 악을 행하였을지라도 이제 바라건대 그 허물과 죄를 용서하라 하였다 하라 하였나니.

"Even if your brothers have done evil to me, now I ask you to forgive their sin and their wrongdoing."

당신의 아버지 하나님이 종들의 죄를 용서하소서.

May your Father God forgive the sins of the servants.

하며 요셉이 그 말을 듣고 울었다.

And Joseph, hearing these words, wept.

이렇게 되어 있어요.

This is how it is.

이 16절, 17절이요.

This is verses 16 and 17.

참 재미있어요.

It's really fun.

요셉의 형들이 얼마나 불안해했는가를 이 16절, 17절을 가만히 보면 알 수 있어요.

You can see how anxious Joseph's brothers were by looking closely at verses 16 and 17.

첫째 16절에 보면 요셉의 형들이 요셉에게 뭐라고 말하는지 아세요?

Do you know what Joseph's brothers said to him in verse 16?

당신의 아버지가 그래요.

That's how your father is.

벌써?

Already?

자신이 없는 거예요.

I lack confidence.

여기 보면 요셉이 말을 전하여 가르되 당신의 아버지가 아니 왜 그 사람의 아버지는 내 아버지지.

Here it is written that Joseph said, "You are not my father; that man's father is my father."

내 아버지라는 말을 못하는 거예요.

I can't say the words "my father."

요셉의 당신의 아버지 아닙니까? 이렇게 표현을 합니다.

Isn't he your father, Joseph? That's how it's expressed.

두 번째는요.

The second one is.

아버지 야곱의 유언이 사실인지 아닌지 성경이 없어요.

The Bible does not confirm whether the will of Father Jacob is true or not.

지어서 했을 가능성이 참 많아요.

There is a high possibility that it was done intentionally.

확실하지 않는 얘기를 아버지의 유언이 있다고 이야기하는 거예요.

It's saying that there is a will from the father about something uncertain.

아버지의 유언이었습니다라고 이 얘기를 하는 걸 보면 얼마나 불안한 날을 보여주는 것입니다.

It shows how anxious the days are, seeing that this story reveals it was my father's last words.

아버지가 죽고 난 이후에 아들 요셉이 형들에게 보복하지 말아라 라는 내용으로 유언했다는 겁니다.

After the father died, it is said that the son Joseph left a will urging his brothers not to take revenge.

자,

Well,

여러분 만약에 그런 유언을 아버지가 했다면 장본인이 요셉에게 하지 않았겠습니까?

If your father had given such a will, wouldn't the person concerned have told Joseph?

그런데 요셉은 그 얘기를 들은 적이 없어요.

However, Joseph has never heard that story.

그런데 아들을 우기는 거예요. 형들은.

But the older brothers are insisting on the son.

아버지가 절대로 내가 죽으면 보복하지 말라고 유언을 했습니다.

My father left a will saying that I should never take revenge if I die.

라고 지금 이야기를 합니다.

They're saying that right now.

17절에 보면 그들이 불안한 모습을 또 볼 수가 있는데

In verse 17, we can see them showing signs of anxiety again.

17절에 너희는 이같이 요셉에게 이르라 내 형들이 내게 악을 행하였을지라도

In verse 17, you shall say to Joseph, "Although my brothers have done evil to me..."

이제 바라간대 그 허물과 죄를 용서하라 하셨다 하라 하셨나니

Now it is said that He has commanded to forgive that sin and transgression.

그 그 밑에 하셨다 하라 하셨나니

He said to do it underneath that.

이렇게 지금 말을 만드는 거예요.

This is how I'm making words right now.

아마 살아생전에 요셉을 빼놓고

Perhaps excluding Joseph during his lifetime.

요셉의 형들과 아버지들은요.

Joseph's brothers and father.

아버지와 비밀 협상이 있었는지는 모르겠어요. 요셉의 형들이 하도 불안하니까. 아버지, 만약에 우리가 내 동생 요셉한테 우리가 처지른 일이 용서받지 못할 일인데 만약에 요셉이 저 마음 바꿔서 우리한테 복수하면 우리는 어떻게 합니까?

I don't know if there was a secret negotiation with my father. Joseph's brothers are so anxious. Father, if we cannot be forgiven for what we did to our brother Joseph, and if Joseph changes his mind and takes revenge on us, what are we supposed to do?

그러니까 아버지가 좀 가셔서 요셉한테 이거 좀 확실하게 도장을 찍어주십시오라고 아마 아들들이 했겠죠. 그러니까 아버지가 아니야, 너 봐라. 요셉은 다 용서했어. 너 괜한 걱정이야.

So the father probably went and asked Joseph to make sure to seal this, right? So the father said, "No, look. Joseph has forgiven everyone. You are just worrying for nothing."

그러니까 아들들이 아니야, 아버지. 믿을 수가 없어요. 아버지가 한번 도장 꽉 찍어주세요. 그래, 내가 가서 말해주마. 아마 그렇게 했을지 모르죠.

So it's not the sons, Father. I can't believe it. Please stamp it hard once, Father. Alright, I will go and tell you. Maybe that’s how it happened.

그랬기 때문에 요셉의 형들은 거짓말했다라기보다.

Therefore, rather than saying that Joseph's brothers lied.

그러다 보다는 아버지와 그 형들 사이의 어떤 비밀 협상이 사전에 있었을 가능성도 있습니다.

There is also a possibility that there may have been some secret negotiations in advance between the father and his brothers.

이 모든 얘기는 모름이에요. 요셉의 형들이 불안하다 얘기. 왜? 자기들이 저지른 죄가 너무나 용서받을 수 없는 과거가 있었기 때문에.

All of this is unknown. It's about Joseph's brothers feeling uneasy. Why? Because they had an unforgivable past due to the sins they committed.

요셉이 잘해주면 잘해줄수록 그게 불안한 거예요. 여러분, 그런 불안이 우리의 불안 아니에요? 남편이 잘해줄수록 불안해지는 안 해요.

The more Joseph treats me well, the more uneasy I feel. Isn’t that kind of anxiety our own anxiety? The more my husband does for me, the more anxious I become.

부인이 믿어줄수록 어딘가 뒤에 꿀리고 불안해지는 남편들. 잘해주면 잘해줄수록 그게 더 불안이 있는 거예요. 왜요? 모르겠어요. 그런 게 있어요. 인간 안에는 그런 게 있다고요.

The more the wives believe, the more the husbands feel anxious and uneasy somewhere behind. The better they treat them, the greater the anxiety becomes. Why? I don’t know. There’s something about that. There’s something like that within humans.

자, 여기 조금만 더 보십시오.

Now, please look a little more here.

그리고 또 우리 17절 마지막 부분에서 요셉이 하는 말을 보면,

And also when we look at what Joseph says at the end of verse 17,

요셉의 형들이 미래가 불안하고 현재가 불안하고 그들의 과거가 얼마나 불안했다는 것을 알 수가 있어요.

You can see how anxious Joseph's brothers are about the future, how anxious they are about the present, and how anxious their past has been.

당신의 아버지의 하나님의 종들. 뭐든지 불안하면 말이 복잡해져요. 이리 꼬고 저리 꼬고. 무슨 말인지 잘 알아듣지를 못해요.

Your father's servants of God. When you are anxious about anything, the words become complicated. Twisting this way and that. I can't quite understand what you mean.

마음이 편한 사람은 말이 쉽고 단순하고 직선적이에요. 꼬지를 않아요. 그런데 어떤 사람들은 자꾸 말을 꼬아요.

A person who is at ease speaks easily, simply, and straightforwardly. They don’t twist their words. However, some people keep twisting their words.

다 자리에 갖다 붙였다. 이게 다 불안하다는 얘기에요.

I put everything in place. This all means that I'm anxious.

당신의 아버지의 하나님의 종들을 죄를 이제 용서하십시오. 이렇게 이야기를 합니다.

"Forgive the sins of your father's servants to God now. This is what is said."

여러분 어떻습니까? 예수 믿으면서도 혹시 이런 불안은 없습니까?

How about you all? Even while believing in Jesus, do you ever feel such anxiety?

교회 나오면서도 하나님에 대한 불안.

Anxiety about God even while attending church.

천국에 대한 불안. 영생에 대한 불안.

Anxiety about heaven. Anxiety about eternal life.

아멘! 할렐루야! 예수님이 내 죄를 용서해 주시면 나는 믿습니다! 그리고 불안한 거예요.

Amen! Hallelujah! I believe that Jesus forgives my sins! And I am anxious.

혹시 아니면 어떡하지? 내가 그러다가 어느 순간에 지옥 가면 어떡하지?

What if not? What if I end up in hell at some point?

그런데 이게 언제 이런 게 툭툭 튀어나오냐면요. 내가 예수 잘 믿고 아무 문제가 없을 때는 아무 문제가 없어요.

However, this is when these things suddenly pop up. When I believe in Jesus well and there are no problems, there are no issues.

그런데 우리 예수 믿고 어떻게 항상 잘 삽니까?

But how can we live well all the time by believing in Jesus?

나쁜 짓도 하고 이상한 생각도 하고 순간순간 그냥 우리가 팽이같이 돌아가지 않습니까?

Aren't we doing bad things, having strange thoughts, and just going around like a top from moment to moment?

팍팍 돌아가고. 그리고 교회도 빠지고 죄도 짓고 하나님 원하는 일을 해요.

Life is hectic. And I miss church, commit sins, and do the things God wants.

그럼 불안해져요.

Then I become anxious.

나를 하나님이 잊어버린 게 아닌가? 버린 게 아닌가? 내가 이러다 지옥까지?

Has God forgotten me? Has He abandoned me? Am I going to end up in hell like this?

이런 생각이 자꾸 엄습해 온단 말이에요. 순간순간.

These thoughts keep creeping in on me. Moment by moment.

예수님이 나를 용서하십시오.

Lord Jesus, forgive me.

나를 위해 슬쩍 못 보게 돌아가는 걸 믿고 하나님이 나를 사랑하는 걸 믿음에도 불구하고 자꾸 이런 생각이 섬뜩섬뜩 든다는 것이죠.

Even though I believe that God loves me and trust that things will subtly turn away from me, I still keep having these chilling thoughts.

여러분 이러한 불안한 마음, 이러한 의심이 우리로 하여금 자꾸 믿음으로 앞에 나가는 것을 막게 하고

Everyone, this anxious heart and these doubts hinder us from continually moving forward in faith.

우리 안에 기적을 낳게 하는 것을 막게 만들고 축복을 칼을 막는단 말이죠.

It says that it prevents us from giving birth to miracles within us and stops blessings from coming.

섬찟섬찟하게 내 안에서.

Chillingly inside me.

찾아오는 이 불안. 하나님을 믿으면서도 갖는 불안.

The anxiety that comes upon me. The anxiety I have even while believing in God.

교회를 나오면서도 갖는 염려, 근심, 걱정들이 그런 생각을 하면

As I leave the church, the worries and concerns I have make me think like that.

그런 게 아니라. 그러면서도 또 불안해하는.

It's not that. And yet, still feeling anxious.

이것이 내 신앙생활의 걸림돌이 되고 축복의 걸림돌이 되는 거예요.

This becomes a stumbling block in my faith life and a stumbling block to blessings.

이 말을 들은 요셉의 반응은 어떻습니까?

What was Joseph's reaction when he heard this?

형들이 그런 말을 하는 걸 듣고 17절 마지막 부분에 뭐라고 그랬죠?

What did we say at the end of verse 17 after hearing the brothers say that?

요셉이 울었다 이렇게 돼 있어요.

Joseph cried like this.

자기를 믿어주지 않는 형들, 자기의 사랑에 대해서 의심하는 형들,

Brothers who do not believe in him, brothers who doubt his love,

자기의 용서에 대해서 의심하는 형들을 보면서 요셉이 가슴이 아픈 거예요.

Seeing his brothers doubt their own forgiveness, Joseph feels pain in his heart.

이렇게 우시는 분이 또 한 분 계시죠.

There is another person who also cries like this.

예수님, 내가 너를 위하여 시점을 벗겨 죽었는데.

Jesus, I have stripped the point of death for you.

나는 내 죄를 용서했는데.

I have forgiven my sins.

동의서에서 먹은 것처럼, 눈처럼, 양의 털처럼

Like something eaten in the consent form, like snow, like sheep's wool.

내 죄를 깨끗이 다 씻어주고 용서해 줬는데

You washed away all my sins completely and forgave me.

우리는 그것을 잘 믿지 않고 불안해하고 두려워한단 말이죠.

We don't really believe it and we feel anxious and scared about it.

하나님은 말합니다.

God says.

나는 내 죄를 기억도 아니 아니라 내 죄를 용서했다.

I neither remember my sins nor have I forgiven my sins.

눈처럼, 양털처럼.

Like snow, like wool.

내 죄를 용서하기 위하여 나는 십자가른 대가를 치뤘다.

I have paid the price on the cross to forgive my sins.

두려워 말라. 의심하지 말라.

Do not be afraid. Do not doubt.

내가 순간순간 실수를 하고 죄를 짓고 하나님이 원하지 않는 생각과 행동을 했다 할지라도

Even if I make mistakes and commit sins moment by moment, and have thoughts and actions that God does not desire,

너는 구원받은 것이 확실하다.

You are certain to be saved.

내 태도에 따라서 내가 너를 용서한 것이 아니라

It's not that I forgave you based on my attitude.

내 태도와 상관없이 나는 너를 용서한다.

I forgive you regardless of my attitude.

내 행위에 따라서, 반응에 따라서 내가 너를 용서한 게 아니에요.

It's not that I forgave you based on my actions or your reactions.

내가 잘하면 내가 용서해 주고

If I do well, I will forgive myself.

내가 잘못하면 용서할까 말까 하시고

Will you forgive me if I do something wrong?

이런 분이 아니라는 것이죠.

That's not what I mean.

당신의 반응과 태도와 생각과 상관없이

Regardless of your reaction, attitude, or thoughts.

나는 이미 너를 용서하기로 결정을 했다.

I have already decided to forgive you.

하나님은 그렇게 말씀하셨습니다.

God said so.

나는 너를 사랑하기로 결정했고

I have decided to love you.

너를 용서하기로 결정했다.

I have decided to forgive you.

내 태도에 따라서 내 약속은 변하는 것이 아니다.

My promises do not change according to my attitude.

내 죄가 주원 같을지라도 나는 내 죄를 용서할 것이다.

Even if my sin is like that of Ju Won, I will forgive my sin.

내가 지옥에 갈지라도 나는 지옥에 가서 너를 데려올 것이다.

Even if I go to hell, I will go to hell and bring you back.

사자가 너를 집어삼킬지라도 나는 사자의 입을 찢어서라도

Even if a lion swallows you, I will tear its mouth apart.

목구멍으로 들어가는 너를 건져내고 말 것이다.

I will rescue you from being swallowed.

두려워 말라.

Do not be afraid.

놀라지 말라.

Don't be surprised.

나는 내 하나님이다.

I am my own God.

내가 너를 도와줄 것이다.

I will help you.

내가 너를 붙들어줄 것이다.

I will hold onto you.

내 약한 무릎을 나는 강하게 만들어줄 것이다.

I will make my weak knees strong.

내 사랑은 한 번도 별해본 일이 없고

My love has never been starved before.

내 약 용서는 한 번도 바꾸어본 일이 없다.

I have never changed my medication prescription even once.

나는 어제나 오늘이나 영원토록 동일하다.

I am the same yesterday, today, and forever.

여러분, 이것이 구원입니다.

Everyone, this is salvation.

하나님의 구원은 불안하지 않습니다.

God's salvation is not uncertain.

하나님의 구원은 완전합니다.

God's salvation is perfect.

변함이 없으십니다.

You haven't changed.

어떤 상황이 일어나도 하나님의 구원은 바꾸어지지 않습니다.

No matter what situation occurs, God's salvation does not change.

하나님은 여러분을 사랑하시기로 결정하셨고

God has decided to love you.

여러분을 용서하시기로 결정하셨고

You have decided to forgive everyone.

하나님은 여러분을 구원하시기로 결정하셨고

God has decided to save you.

여러분을 자기 아들로 삼으시기로 결정하셨고

He has decided to adopt you as his sons.

하나님은 여러분을 구원하시기로 결정하셨고

God has decided to save you.

천국을 상속을 주시기로 결정하셨습니다.

You have decided to grant an inheritance of heaven.

나는 오늘 아침에 이 설교를 듣고

I listened to this sermon this morning.

여러분의 구원에 불안이 사라지기를 추구합니다.

I seek for the anxiety about your salvation to disappear.

구원에 대한 불안, 구원에 대한 염려.

Anxiety about salvation, concern about salvation.

그것은 하나님에 대한 염려가 아니라

It is not a concern for God.

자기에 대한 염려죠.

It's concern about oneself.

자기의 행위, 자기의 삶이 자꾸 흔들리니까

Because their actions and their life keep being shaken.

하나님이 자꾸 흔들린다고 생각하는 거예요.

I think God keeps being shaken.

자기가 약속을 배신하니까

Because they betray their promises.

하나님도 약속을 배신한다고 생각을 하는 것이죠.

Even God is thought to betray promises.

여러분, 그렇지 않습니다.

Everyone, that's not true.

하나님의 사랑은 영원합니다.

God's love is eternal.

하나님의 사랑은 변하지 않습니다.

God's love does not change.

하나님의 약속은 변하지 않습니다.

God's promise does not change.

그래서 성경에 보면 무슨 말이 제일 많은지 아세요?

So do you know what the most talked-about topic is in the Bible?

성경 전체를 보면 놀라지 말라, 두려워 말라.

Do not be amazed, do not be afraid, when you look at the entire Bible.

나는 네 하나님이다.

I am your God.

자르나 우르나 치우치지 말라.

Do not cut or distort.

너는 마음에 근심하지 말라.

Do not let your heart be troubled.

하나님으로 인해 또 나를 믿어라.

Believe in me because of God.

내가 너에게 평안을 주너라.

I give you peace.

아무것도 염려하지 못하고

Unable to worry about anything.

기도와 강구를 너에게 구할 걸 아래라.

I will ask you for prayer and supplication.

왜 이런 말을 자꾸 성경이 반복해서

Why does the Bible keep repeating these words?

페이지 페이지마다 이 말을 할까요?

Should I say this on every page?

인간은 불안한 존재이기 때문에.

Humans are anxious beings.

의심하는 존재이기 때문에.

Because it is a being that doubts.

두려워하는 존재이기 때문에

Because it is a being that is feared.

불안과 의심과 염려가 나를 사로잡는 것.

Anxiety, doubt, and worry are haunting me.

그런 순간부터 나는 족쇄를 차기 시작해.

From that moment on, I began to put on shackles.

무한한 가능성, 기적, 축복들을

Infinite possibilities, miracles, and blessings.

전부 빼앗겨버리고 말기 때문에.

Because I will lose everything.

성경에 약속한 모든 것들을

All the things promised in the Bible.

다 잃어버리고 말기 때문에.

Because I will end up losing everything.

성경은 우리들에게 끊임없이

The Bible continually teaches us.

왜 의심하느냐.

Why do you doubt?

믿음이 없는 자여.

O you of little faith.

하나님이 할 수 있거든이 무슨 말이냐.

What does it mean that God can do it?

믿는 자에게는 능치 못함이 없느니라.

For those who believe, nothing is impossible.

그러나 나는 오늘 여러분들에게

However, I would like to...

믿음의 세례가 이루어지기를 바랍니다.

I hope that the baptism of faith will take place.

믿어지지 않을지라도 믿고

Even if it’s hard to believe, believe.

보이지 않을지라도 믿고

Even if you can't see it, believe.

들리지 않을지라도 믿고

Even if you can't hear it, believe.

내 손에 잡히지 않을지라도 믿고

흔들리지 않는

Unshakable

내 이성에 의해서 흔들리거나

Shaken by my reason

내 지성에 의해서 흔들리거나

Shaken by my intellect

세상의 환경 때문에 흔들리지 않는

Unshaken by the environment of the world.

주님 굳건한 반석같은 믿음

Lord, steadfast faith like a solid rock.

예수님이 주시는 그 믿음을

The faith that Jesus gives.

오늘 내 마음에 허락하여 주옵소서.

Today, please grant permission to my heart.

물위에 예수님이 걸어오셨을 때

When Jesus walked on the water.

베드로가 물위로 걸어오신 예수를 봤습니다.

Peter saw Jesus walking on the water.

그리고 그가 즉각하는 말은

And what he says immediately is

유령이구나 그랬어요.

It's a ghost, huh?

예수라고는 못 봤어요.

I haven't seen Jesus.

물위로 걷는 사람은 아무도 없었기 때문에.

Because there was no one walking on the water.

그때 예수님이 나라고 그랬어요.

At that time, Jesus said it was me.

유령이 아니라 나다.

It's not a ghost, it's me.

주님이십니까?

Are you the Lord?

베드로가 주님이라는 사실에 쇼크를 먹고

Peter was shocked by the fact that He is the Lord.

정신없어서 자기도 모르는 말을 했어요.

I spoke words I didn't even know because I was out of it.

그러면 나도 물을 걷게 해주세요.

Then let me walk on water too.

그때 예수님이 와라 그랬어요.

At that time, Jesus said to come.

와라.

Come.

베드로가 물위로 그냥 막 뛰어들어갔어요.

Peter just jumped into the water without hesitation.

물속에 잘 뛰어들어갑니다.

It jumps well into the water.

딱 뛰어들어요.

Just jump right in.

그러니까 걸었어요.

So I walked.

왜 걸은 줄 아세요?

Do you know why I walked?

정신이 없었기 때문에.

Because I was out of my mind.

이성이 발동을 안 했기 때문에.

Because reason did not activate.

상식적인 생각을 안 했기 때문에.

Because I didn't think logically.

예수님만 바라봤기 때문에.

Because I only looked at Jesus.

예수님의 말씀만 의지했기 때문에.

Because I only relied on the words of Jesus.

그리고 물위에 걷고 계신 예수님이 거기 계셨기 때문에

And because Jesus, who walks on water, was there.

베드로가 자기도 모르는 사이에

Without Peter realizing it.

자기가 바다에서 잔뼈가 굵은 사람 아닙니까?

Aren't you someone who has spent a lot of time at sea?

물위에 걷고 계신 예수님이 거기 계셨기 때문에.

Because Jesus, who walked on water, was there.

자기도 모르는 사이에 자기가 바다에서 잔뼈가 굵은 사람 아닙니까?

Isn't he someone who has unconsciously grown up in the sea?

우리의 사람이 걸을 수 없다는 것을 여러분보다 더 잘 아는 사람이, 체험적으로 아는 사람이 베드로에 그 사람이 그걸 잠깐 잊어버리고 뛰어들었단 말이죠.

The person who knows better than you that our people cannot walk, someone who knows it experientially, is Peter, and he momentarily forgot that and jumped in.

사랑하는 성도 여러분, 잠깐 잃어버리고 예수만 바라보시길 바랍니다.

Dear beloved saints, I hope you take a moment to lose yourselves and fix your eyes only on Jesus.

현실을 바라보면 안 할 이유가 너무 많고 못합니다.

When I look at reality, there are too many reasons not to do it, and I can't.

오늘의 교회요. 현실적인 여건이 생기면 이렇게 교회가 크지 않습니다.

Today's church. If realistic conditions arise, the church won't grow this big.

상식적인 걸 생각하면 이게 어떻게 15년 만에 이렇게 됩니까?

If we think logically, how did this happen after 15 years?

이게 불가능합니다.

This is impossible.

여러분, 상식적인 선에서 생각하면 내 조국이 어떻게 변해요?

Everyone, if we think within common sense, how does my country change?

그렇게 내놓으라 하는 정치인들이 다 나가도 안 변하는.

Even if all the politicians who demand to be put out there leave, nothing will change.

노조가 달라붙고 시민단체가 그렇게 달라붙는데도 세상 눈 하나 깜짝아납니다.

Even with the union sticking close and civic organizations getting involved, the world doesn't blink an eye.

누가 고칠 수 있어요? 우리 같은 사람이 어떻게 세상을 고칠 수 있어요?

Who can fix it? How can people like us change the world?

그런 걸 생각하면 머리가 깨지는 것 같아요. 그리고 좌절감 있어요.

Thinking about those things makes my head hurt. And I feel a sense of frustration.

대체 누가 이 땅을 구원할 수 있다는 말인가?

Who on earth can save this land?

어떤 기회가 있을까요?

What opportunities are there?

모든 조직이 시끄러워요. 모든 조직이 시끄러워요.

Every organization is noisy. Every organization is noisy.

정의를 부르지는 조직일수록 시끄러워요.

The organizations that shout for justice are often the loudest.

거기 진리가 없어요.

There is no truth there.

그러나 여러분, 그렇게 생각하면 절망이 와요. 좌절이 와요.

But, everyone, if you think that way, despair comes. Frustration comes.

우리나라 경제 이거 어떻게 회복되나? 절망이 와요.

How is our country's economy going to recover? It's hopeless.

우리나라 정치 어떻게 되느냐? 절망이 와요.

How is the politics in our country? It's hopeless.

노벨상은 암만 받아도 안 돼요, 이게.

No matter how many times you receive the Nobel Prize, it shouldn't be like this.

그렇다고 되는 게 아니라고요. 하나님만이 하세요. 하나님만이.

That's not how it works. Only God can do it. Only God.

이 믿음이 필요해요. 우리에게 이 예수님을 바라보는, 하나님을 바라보는 이 믿음이 필요해요.

We need this faith. We need this faith in looking at Jesus, in looking at God.

이 믿음이 세상을 변화시키는 거예요.

This belief is what changes the world.

요한, 요셉이.

John, Joseph.

형들의 이런 말을 듣고 그가 이렇게 말을 합니다.

Hearing such words from his older brothers, he says this.

19절에서부터 21절까지 보십시오. 시작.

"Look from verse 19 to verse 21. Start."

요셉이 그들에게 두려워 맞서서 내가 하나님을 대신하리.

Joseph confronted them with fear, saying, "Am I in the place of God?"

당신들은 나를 헤아려 하였으나 하나님은 그것을 선으로 받고사

You have tried to understand me, but God has taken it for good.

오늘과 같이 만인의 생명을 구원하게 하시려 하셨나니

He intended to save the lives of all people, just like today.

당신들은 두려워 맞서서 내가 당신들과 당신들의 자녀들에게

You are afraid to confront me and your children.

사녀를 기르리이다 하고 그들을 간곡한 말로 위로하니라.

"I will raise them as my daughters and comfort them with earnest words."

이것은 요셉을 통해서 우리에게 주신 하나님의 말씀이.

This is the word of God given to us through Joseph.

두려워 말라.

Do not be afraid.

여러분 통일은 하나님이 주십니다.

Unity is given by God.

사람이 만들지 않습니다.

It is not made by people.

하나님의 섭리와 주권만이 완전한 축복과 통일과 그리고 번영된 조국을 만들어줄 것입니다.

Only God's providence and sovereignty can create a perfect blessing, unity, and a prosperous nation.

누구든지 이 땅에 사는 모든 사람들은 다 하나님에게 관심을 가져요.

Everyone living on this land has an interest in God.

국회도 하나님에게 관심을 가지고 노동자도 하나님께 관심을 가지고 학생들도 하나님께 관심을 가지고

The National Assembly also has an interest in God, workers have an interest in God, and students also have an interest in God.

모든 비즈니스맨들은요.

All businessmen.

국회도 하나님께 관심을 가지고.

The National Assembly should also take an interest in God.

사람이 유토피아.

People are a utopia.

유토피아는 원래 후토포스.

Utopia was originally "Heterotopia."

그런 나라가 없다는 것이 유토피아예요.

The fact that such a country does not exist is a utopia.

없어요.

There isn't any.

그것은 환상이에요.

It's an illusion.

고난의 대가를 치르고 집자가의 대가를 치르고 나서야 하나님의 나라는 오는 거예요.

The kingdom of God comes only after paying the price of hardship and the price of being a disciple.

여러분을 용서하기로 결정하셨습니다.

You have decided to forgive everyone.

의심하지 마십시오.

Do not doubt it.

그분을 신뢰하십시오.

Trust that person.

그분을 바라보십시오.

Look at him/her.

그분께 영광을 돌리십시오.

Give glory to Him.

그때 나도 변하고

At that time, I also changed.

내 조국도 변하고

My homeland is also changing.

세상도 변할 것입니다.

The world will change, too.

I want God to be the owner of this land.

하나님이 이 땅의 왕이 되시기를 원합니다.

I want God to be the king of this land.

하나님이 이 땅의 통치자가 되시기를 원합니다.

I want God to be the ruler of this land.

모든 영역에 하나님이 다스려 주시옵소서.

May God reign over all areas.
