오늘 말씀은 지난주에 이어지는 말씀입니다

Today's message is a continuation of last week's message.

지난주에 우리는 요단강을 건너는 이스라엘 백성들의 이야기를 함께 보았습니다

Last week, we looked at the story of the Israelites crossing the Jordan River.

요단강을 건넜으니까 다음은 여리고성이죠

Having crossed the Jordan River, the next is Jericho.

여리고성에 대해서 나누기 전에 한 가지 짚고 넘어가야 할 부분이 있습니다

Before discussing the city of Jericho, there is one point I need to address.

그것은 뭐냐면 홍해와 요단강과 여리고성의 차이점이에요

What that means is the difference between the Red Sea, the Jordan River, and the city of Jericho.

사실은 이 세 가지에 대해서 사건들은 다 다르지만

The truth is that although the incidents regarding these three matters are all different...

우리는 그것의 영적인 의미는 다 비슷비슷하다고 생각할 때가 참 많아요

We often think that its spiritual meanings are quite similar.

저도 예전에 설교를 할 때 이 세 가지를 예를 들어서

When I used to preach in the past, I would use these three as examples.

항상 비슷하게 예를 들었어요

I have always given similar examples.

홍해도 또 요단강도 여리고성도 우리 인생이 만나는 어려움들이고

The Red Sea, the Jordan River, and the city of Jericho are all difficulties that we encounter in our lives.

우리는 그것을 믿음으로 이겨내야 한다 이런 설교를 제가 참 많이 했었습니다

We must overcome it with faith; I have preached this quite often.

그러면서 늘 마음 한구석에는 그런 생각은 있었어요

Still, there was always a thought like that in a corner of my mind.

홍해와 요단강과 여리고성은 뭐가 다른 거지?

What is the difference between the Red Sea, the Jordan River, and the city of Jericho?

그냥 사건은 다른데 의미는 같은 걸까? 이런 의문이 항상 있었습니다

Is it just that the events are different but the meaning is the same? I have always had this question.

지난주 말씀을 전하면서

While delivering the message last week,

제가 참고로 요단강과 여리고성은

As a reference, the Jordan River and Jericho.

잠깐 말씀드렸고요

I mentioned it briefly.

또 오늘도 오늘 본문의 메시지 바로 여리고성 메시지를 준비하면서

Once again today, while preparing the message from today's passage, particularly the message about Jericho.

제가 말씀을 묵상할 때

When I meditate on the words.

하나님께서 분명한 영적인 깨달음을 주셨어요

God has given me a clear spiritual realization.

이 세 가지의 차이점, 뭐가 다른 것인가 하는 겁니다

What is the difference between these three things?

여러분 홍해는 어디서부터 어디로 나올 때 지나간 곳이죠?

Where does the Red Sea start and end?

이집트에서 광야로 나올 때에

When coming out of Egypt into the wilderness

그 이집트에서 나오는 출구가 바로 이 홍해였어요

The exit from Egypt was right here, the Red Sea.

홍해는 무슨 의미를 가지고 있냐면

What does the Red Sea mean?

홍해는 이집트 땅, 즉 죄악의 땅

The Red Sea is the land of Egypt, that is, the land of sin.

내가 이집트의 지배 아래에 있었던 땅

The land that was under Egyptian rule.

바로 죄악의 지배 아래에 있었던 그 땅에서 내가 벗어날 때 통과하는 곳이 바로 홍해라고 하는 곳입니다

The place I pass through to escape from the land that was under the control of sin is called the Red Sea.

이것은 오늘 우리로 비유를 하자면 우리에게는 구원사건이에요

This can be likened to a salvation event for us today.

죄악된 과거에서 내가 탈출하는 거예요

I am escaping from a sinful past.

그게 홍해를 건너는 사건입니다

That is the event of crossing the Red Sea.

그렇게 홍해를 건너는 사건입니다

It is the event of crossing the Red Sea.

홍해를 나오고 나면 놀랍게도 광야가 나와요

After coming out of the Red Sea, surprisingly, the wilderness appears.

이게 우리가 당황스러운 건데요

This is what we're surprised about.

예수 믿고 구원 받고 나면 약속의 땅에 딱 나와야 되는데

After believing in Jesus and receiving salvation, you should end up in the promised land.

그 다음에 광야가 딱 나오는 거예요

Then the wilderness just appears.

할렐루야

Hallelujah

그럼 그때 놀라지 않으시기를 주님으로 축복합니다

Then I bless you in the Lord so that you will not be surprised at that time.

이스라엘 백성들이 그런 일을 경험했어요

The people of Israel experienced such things.

이집트를 나왔을 때 광야를 지나갑니다

When I left Egypt, I passed through the wilderness.

광야는 훈련의 장소이죠

The wilderness is a place of training.

약속의 땅에 들어가기 위해서 훈련되는 곳이에요

It is a place where one is trained to enter the promised land.

그 광야에서 이스라엘 백성들은 자신의 한계를 경험합니다

In the wilderness, the people of Israel experience their limitations.

그리고 그 한계의 끝에 있는 것이 요단강이에요

And at the end of that boundary is the Jordan River.

지난주에 우리가 함께 보셨던 것이죠

It was what we saw together last week.

내 한계의 끝, 내가 절대로 건널 수 없는 지점

The end of my limits, a point I can never cross.

바로 요단강이죠

It's the Jordan River.

그런데 놀랍게도 그 한계의 끝인 요단강

However, surprisingly, the end of that limit is the Jordan River.

그 요단강은 광야에서 나가는 출구가 되는 거예요

The Jordan River serves as the exit from the wilderness.

광야를 나가는 출구는 바로 거기예요

The exit to the wilderness is right there.

내가 오늘 만나는 인생의 한계가 있습니까?

Is there a limit to the life I meet today?

내가 이 한계 앞에서 정말 주저앉을 수밖에 없는

I really have no choice but to collapse in front of this limit.

그런 한계를 여러분 만나고 계신가요?

Are you experiencing such limitations?

지난주에 여러분 함께 나누었죠

Last week we shared together.

내 인생에 절대 감당할 수 없는 한계를 만나고 있다면

If I am facing a limit that I can never overcome in my life.

내 인생의 요단강을 만났다면

If I had encountered the Jordan River of my life.

나는 지금 약속의 땅 바로 앞까지 가 있는 거예요

I am currently right in front of the Promised Land.

그리고 그 약속의 땅을 향한 바로 입구이며

And it is the very entrance to the promised land.

바로 광야의 출구는 바로 그 요단강 한복판으로 열릴 것입니다

The exit of the wilderness will open right in the middle of the Jordan River.

이것이 요단강의 의미예요

This is the meaning of the Jordan River.

광야에서 약속의 땅으로 넘어가는 출구입니다

This is the exit from the wilderness to the promised land.

요단강이에요

It's the Jordan River.

여리고는 어디에 있습니까?

Where is Jericho?

여리고는 약속의 땅에 들어가야 있는 거예요

Jericho must be in the promised land.

이게 굉장히 중요한 포인트입니다

This is a very important point.

여리고는 약속의 땅에 있는 거예요

Jericho is in the land of promise.

여러분 이스라엘 백성들의 출애굽의 여정입니다

오늘 우리가 걸어가는 신앙의 여정을 상징해요

It symbolizes the journey of faith we are walking today.

이집트는 아까 말씀드렸듯이

As I mentioned earlier, Egypt is...

죄악의 지배를 받는 과거

A past dominated by sin.

죄악에 속해 있었던 인생이고요

It was a life that was bound by sin.

광야 구원받은 이후의 삶이

The life after being saved in the wilderness.

즉시 푸른 초장 잔잔한 물가가 펼쳐진 게 아니라

It wasn't that green pastures and calm waters spread out immediately.

광야가 펼쳐지는 거예요

The wilderness is unfolding.

많은 청년들이 광야의 시절을 지금 보내고 있습니다

Many young people are going through a wilderness period right now.

그리고 이 광야를 지나면 약속의 땅이 나옵니다

And beyond this wilderness lies the promised land.

여기서 우리는 아까 조금 짚어드렸던 대로

Here, as we briefly touched upon earlier,

이 사이사이에 중요한 포인트들이 있다는 걸 알게 돼요

I realize that there are important points in between.

이집트에서 광야로 넘어가는 출구는 홍해예요

The exit from Egypt to the wilderness is the Red Sea.

광야에서 약속의 땅으로 넘어가는 출구는 요단강이에요

The exit to the promised land from the wilderness is the Jordan River.

그리고 약속의 땅에 들어가면 여리고를 만나는 것입니다

And when you enter the promised land, you will encounter Jericho.

여러분 여기서 저는 이 부분을 좀 묵상을 해볼 때

Everyone, here I would like to meditate on this part a little.

이런 생각이 떠올랐어요

I had this thought.

그렇구나 여리고는 약속의 땅에 있는 것이구나

I see, Jericho is in the Promised Land.

여리고는 광야에 있는 게 아니에요

Jericho is not in the wilderness.

그러니까 만약 내 인생이 지금까지 약속의 땅에 가본 적이 없다면

So if my life has never seen the Promised Land until now,

만약 내 인생은 지금까지 이집트도 경험했고

If my life has experienced Egypt until now...

만약 광야도 경험했는데

If you've experienced the wilderness too,

나는 지금 이 땅에 있는 것이 아니라

I am not on this land right now.

여전히 광야에 속해 있는 자라면

If you are still belonging to the wilderness

나는 아직 여리고성을 만난 적은 없는 거예요

I have never encountered Jericho yet.

여리고성은 광야에 있는 자가 만나는 게 아니거든요

The city of Jericho is not something one encounters in the wilderness.

여리고성은 광야를 지난 사람이 만나는 거예요

The Jericho Fortress is what one encounters after passing through the wilderness.

여리고성은 광야를 지나서 약속의 땅에 들어간 사람만이 만나는 것이

Jericho is the place that only those who pass through the wilderness and enter the promised land encounter.

여리고성이라고 하는 것입니다

It is called the city of Jericho.

저는 이 부분에 대해서 좀 묵상을 하면서

I have been contemplating this part.

정말 중요한 고민에 빠졌어요

I've fallen into a really important dilemma.

제 인생을 한번 돌아보면서

Reflecting on my life.

그렇다면 나는

Then I will

여리고성을 만나는 것이

Meeting Jericho Fortress

내 인생에 여리고성을 만난 적은 있었을까

Have I ever encountered a Jericho in my life?

여러분 내 인생에 그냥 어려움을 만났다고 해서

Just because I encountered difficulties in my life.

그게 다 여리고성은 아니더라는 것입니다

That's not all about Jericho.

내가 광야를 지나는 인생

My life is passing through the wilderness.

거기서 헤어나지 못하고 있다면

If you can't get out of there.

내가 만나는 것은 다 요단강이에요

Everything I meet is the Jordan River.

아직 여리고성을 본 게 아닌 거예요

I haven't seen the Jericho Wall yet.

여러분

Everyone

저는 이런 생각이 들었어요

I had this thought.

정말 이럴 수는 없다라는 거예요

This really can't be happening.

가만히 생각해 봤어요

I've been quietly thinking about it.

이 땅에 광야가 있는 게 아닌 거예요

There is no wilderness on this land.

같은 인생을 살아가는 많은 청년들이

Many young people living the same life

혹시 그렇지 않을까라는 생각을 했어요

I thought maybe that's not the case.

내 인생은 늘 광야 속을 걷고 있는 거예요

My life is always like walking in the wilderness.

그렇다면 나는 아직 여리고성을 본 적이 없는 거예요

Then I have never seen the city of Jericho before.

나는 언제나 나의 한계 때문에 고통스러워하고 어려워합니다

I am always suffering and struggling because of my limitations.

그러나 한 번도 약속의 땅을 밟아본 적은 없는 거예요

However, I have never set foot on the promised land.

여러분 저는 오늘 여러분을 격려하고 축복합니다

Everyone, I encourage and bless you today.

오늘 저는 여리고성에 대한 이야기를 할 것인데

Today, I will talk about the city of Jericho.

그렇다면 오늘 우리의 인생 가운데에 대한 이야기를 할 것입니다

Then we will talk about our lives today.

이 여리고성을 무너뜨리기 위해서는요

To bring down this Jericho wall, you need to...

먼저 해야 되는 결단 하나가 있다는 것입니다

There is one decision that needs to be made first.

그건 뭐냐면

What that means is

금방 말씀드린 대로

As I just mentioned.

내가 이 광야를 벗어나 약속의 땅에 들어가겠다고 하는 결단이에요

It's a determination to leave this wilderness and enter the promised land.

여러분 오늘 우리에게 그 결단이 있게 되기를 주님으로 축복합니다

I bless you, Lord, that we may have that decision today.

그래서 첫 번째 이야기는

So the first story is

사명의 땅으로 들어가면 광야가 끝이 난다는 겁니다

Entering the land of your mission means that the wilderness comes to an end.

사명의 땅으로 들어가야 광야가 끝이 난다는 거예요

You must enter the land of your mission for the wilderness to end.

여리고성을 무너뜨리려면

To bring down the walls of Jericho.

이 여리고성을 무너뜨리기 위해서는요

To bring down this Jericho wall, you need to...

약속의 땅 가난한 땅에 들어가야 합니다

We must enter the promised land, the land of Canaan.

들어가지 않으면 여러분 여리고는 나오는 게 아닌 거예요

If you don't go in, your Jericho won't come out.

그런데 문제는 뭐냐면은

But the problem is...

많은 청년들이 광야를 벗어나고 싶어 하기는 하는데

Many young people want to escape the wilderness.

그거를 못 벗어나고 있다는 거예요

It means that you can't get out of that.

왜 못 벗어나는가

Why can't I break free?

여러분 그 까닭을 저는 말씀을 우상하면서

Everyone, I will speak to you about that reason.

한 가지 중요한 사실을 깨달았습니다

I realized one important fact.

광야를 벗어나려면

To escape the wilderness.

요단강을 건너야 해요

We need to cross the Jordan River.

그 요단강은 광야의 출구입니다

The Jordan River is the exit of the wilderness.

그런데 여러분 한 세계를 벗어나는 출구는

However, the exit that leads you out of a world is

반드시 또 다른 세계로 들어가는 입구가 되는 거예요

It will definitely become a gateway to another world.

여러분 만약 우리가 해외여행을 한다면

Everyone, if we go on an overseas trip,

우리는 인천공항에 갈 것입니다

We will go to Incheon Airport.

여러분 인천공항에 가서 출국심사대를 지나지 않습니까?

Aren't you guys going to Incheon Airport and passing through the departure immigration checkpoint?

그렇게 지나가요

It passes by like that.

그렇게 한국을 나가는 거예요

That's how you leave Korea.

나가면 그건 무슨 뜻이죠?

What does it mean when I go out?

내가 어떤 나라를 가겠다라는 거예요

I am saying that I will go to a certain country.

저는 이번에 일본에 갔었거든요

I went to Japan this time.

여름에 아울리치로

To Awulichi in the summer

여러분 그렇기 때문에 그 출국심사대를 지나고 나서

Everyone, that's why after passing through the departure immigration desk...

저는 일본으로 가는 비행기를 탄 거예요

I took a flight to Japan.

여러분 한국을 나왔다라는 것은

Leaving Korea, everyone, means that...

일본에 가겠다고 결정한 거예요

I have decided to go to Japan.

여러분 그렇기 때문에 한국을 나오려면

Everyone, that's why if you want to leave Korea

일본에 가겠다고 결정을 해야 하는 거예요

You need to make a decision to go to Japan.

여러분 광야를 나오려면 무슨 일이 일어나야 하죠?

What needs to happen for you to come out of the wilderness?

약속의 땅에 가겠다고 결정을 해야 하는 거예요

You have to make the decision to go to the promised land.

여러분 안방에서 거실로 나가려면

To go from the bedroom to the living room, everyone...

다시

Again

내가 안방을 나가고 싶어요

I want to leave the bedroom.

근데 안방을 나가면 거실이 있는 거예요

But when you go out of the bedroom, there's the living room.

그럼 어떻게 해야 되죠?

Then what should I do?

안방을 나가는 결정과

The decision to leave the master bedroom and

거실에 들어가겠다는 결정을

The decision to enter the living room.

동시에 해야 하는 거예요

It needs to be done at the same time.

문제는 언제 발생하냐면

The problem arises when.

나는 안방을 나가고는 싶은데

I want to go out of the bedroom.

거실에 가고 싶지는 않은 거예요

I don't want to go to the living room.

이 때문에

Because of this

그때가 문제예요

That's the problem.

나갈 수도 없고 들어갈 수도 없고

I can't go out and I can't go in.

안방 안에서 계속 서성거리는 거죠

I'm just pacing back and forth in the room.

나가기는 해야 하는데 나가고 싶지는 않고

I have to go out, but I don’t want to.

여기를 벗어나야 하는데

I need to get out of here.

저쪽으로 가고 싶지는 않은 거예요

I don't want to go that way.

요단강이 그거예요

That's the Jordan River.

내가 요단강을 건너기가 어려운 이유가

The reason it's difficult for me to cross the Jordan River is...

바로 여기에 있습니다

It is right here.

요단강은 건너기에

The Jordan River is for crossing.

내 능력의 한계를 넘어서는 방이기 때문이기도 하지만

It's also because it's a room that goes beyond the limits of my abilities.

그 강을 건넌다는 것은

Crossing that river means

광야를 나가는 것과 동시에

As soon as you step into the wilderness

약속의 땅

Promised Land

즉 하나님의 사명을

In other words, God's mission

사명의 땅

Land of Mission

하나님의 비전의 땅으로

To the land of God's vision.

들어가는 것을 의미하는 거예요

It means to enter.

근데 사명의 땅으로 들어가면

But when you enter the land of the mission...

무슨 일이 발생하냐면

What happens is

거기는 전쟁에 있거든요

There is a war going on there.

거긴 여리고성이 기다리고 있고

There, the Castle of Jericho is waiting.

그곳에 가면은

If you go there

하다님이 맡겨주시는 일들이

The tasks that Hada-nim entrusts to me.

기다리고 있는 거예요

I'm waiting.

광야를 나가고 싶기는 한데

I want to go out into the wilderness, but...

사명의 땅에 들어가고 싶지는 않아요

I don't want to enter the land of the mission.

광야에서 있는 것도 너무 힘이 들지만

It’s very difficult to be in the wilderness, but

사명의 땅에 들어가서

Entering the land of mission

그 사명 감당하는 건

Carrying out that mission

그것도 힘든 거예요

That's also tough.

여러분 마치 한국을 떠나고 싶어서

Everyone seems to want to leave Korea.

출국심사대를 지났는데

I passed through the departure inspection area.

일본 가는 비행기를 타고 싶지는 않아요

I don't want to take a flight to Japan.

그럼 어떻게 해야 되죠?

So what should I do?

그럼 면세점에서 살아야죠

Then I should live in the duty-free shop.

명품

Luxury goods

맨날 명품 구매하면서

Always buying luxury goods.

면세점에서 사는 거예요

I'm buying it at the duty-free shop.

거기서

From there

카페테리아에서 밥 먹고 차 마시면서

Eating rice and drinking tea in the cafeteria.

그러나 그게 하루 이틀이냐고요

But is it just a day or two?

면세점에서 언제까지 살 수 있을 것 같아요

When do you think you'll be able to buy things at the duty-free shop?

그러면 안 돼요

You can't do that.

안 된다는 거죠

It means you can't do it.

내가 공항맨도 아닌데

I'm not even an airport man.

거기 있을 수는 없는 거죠

You can't be there.

여러분 이것이 바로

Everyone, this is 바로.

오늘 우리의 인생 가운데

Today in our lives

일어나고 있는

Happening

굉장히 중요한 영적 딜레마입니다

It is an extremely important spiritual dilemma.

오늘 청년들이 경험하고 있는

What today's youth are experiencing.

아주 중대한 현실입니다

It is a very significant reality.

광야를 벗어나고 싶으나

I want to escape from the wilderness.

사명을 감당하고 싶지는 않은 거예요

I don't want to take on the mission.

여러분 그래서 마음이 늘 갈등 상태에 있어요

Everyone, so my heart is always in a state of conflict.

너무 떠나고 싶은데 떠날 수는 없어요

I want to leave so badly, but I can't.

그래서 마음이 늘 갈등 상태에 있어요

So my heart is always in a state of conflict.

내 인생의 광야 시절은 언제 끝날까

When will the wilderness period of my life come to an end?

늘 고민하고 갈등해요

I always worry and struggle.

그러나 여러분 오늘

However, everyone, today

오늘 이 말씀을 통해서 저는 여러분 건면 드립니다

Today, through these words, I would like to encourage you all.

내가 만약 하나님의 약속의 땅에 가겠다는 결단이 없으면

If I do not have the determination to go to the promised land of God,

내가 아무리 고민하고 갈등하고 있어도

No matter how much I worry and struggle.

결코 광야를 나갈 수가 없다라는 것입니다

It means that one can never leave the wilderness.

여러분 답은 굉장히 단순합니다

The answer, everyone, is very simple.

사명의 땅에 들어가기로 결정해야 합니다

We must decide to enter the land of our mission.

여러분 그래야 그 순간 내 인생의 새로운 시즌이 열려질 것입니다

여러분 광야의 시간은 진짜 소중한 시간이에요

Everyone, the time in the wilderness is truly precious.

여러분 광야에서 우리는 정말 중요한 훈련을 받는 거예요

Everyone, in the wilderness, we are receiving truly important training.

약속의 땅에 들어가는 훈련을 받는 장소가

A place where training to enter the promised land takes place.

바로 광야거든요

It's right in the wilderness.

그러니까 내 젊은 날에 청년의 때의 광야의 시간을 경험하는 거는

So, experiencing the wilderness during my youth and the time of being young is...

진짜 소중한 거예요

It's really something precious.

그건 나쁜 게 아닌 거예요

That's not a bad thing.

그래서 하나님이 이집트를 지났을 때 광야를 주시는 거거든요

So God gave the wilderness when He passed through Egypt.

근데 그 광야에서 받는 훈련의 내용이 있습니다

But there is content about the training that is received in that wilderness.

그 훈련의 내용이 뭐냐 하면은 믿음 훈련이에요 믿음 훈련

The content of that training is faith training, faith training.

광야는 인간이 살 수 없는 곳이잖아요

The wilderness is a place where humans cannot live, right?

그래서 인간이 자기 힘으로 절대로 살지 않으면은

So if humans never live on their own strength

살 수 없는 그곳에서 과연 인간은 살아낼 수가 있는가

Can humans truly survive in a place where they cannot buy anything?

하나님의 실험이에요 오늘 우리의 인생의 실험이기도 해요

It's God's experiment, and today is also an experiment of our lives.

내가 과연 이 광야의 세월 동안 살 수가 있는가

Can I truly survive during these years in the wilderness?

인간적으로 봤을 때는 정말 살 수가 없는 이 상황 속에서

In terms of humanity, in this situation where it is truly impossible to live.

하나님이 나를 만나로 먹이시고 반석에서 솟는 샘물로 먹이시고

God feeds me with manna and provides me with water that springs from the rock.

하늘에서 막 메추라기 떼가 막 떨어지고

Quail flocks are suddenly falling from the sky.

막 불기둥과 구름기둥을 경험하는 거예요

It's like experiencing a pillar of fire and a pillar of cloud.

그것이 바로 광야입니다

That is exactly the wilderness.

광야에서 나는 믿음의 훈련을 받아요

In the wilderness, I undergo training in faith.

여러분 광야에서 받는 또 한 가지 훈련이 있습니다

There is another training you receive in the wilderness.

그것은 생존 훈련이에요

It's survival training.

인간이 살 수 없는 이곳에서 과연 인간은 살아갈 수가 있는가

Can humans truly survive in a place where humans cannot live?

정말 생존할 수 없을 것만 같은 이 세상 속에서 난 살 수 있을까

In a world that seems like I really can't survive, can I live?

여러분 그런데 말이죠

Everyone, but you know...

여기에 중대한 함정이 있어요

There is a significant trap here.

그것은 뭐냐면 광야는 소중한 곳이지만

What it means is that the wilderness is a precious place, but

그곳은 최종 종착지는 아니라는 거예요

That's not the final destination.

최종 종착지는 약속의 땅이지만

The final destination is the promised land, but

이라고 하는 것입니다

It is said that.

문제는 뭐냐면

The problem is what?

오늘 우리가 광야의 삶 속에서 만나를 먹고

샘물을 마시고 메추리알 기대를 먹다 보면

어느덧 그 속에 젖어들고

이런 기도를 하는 것이죠

This is the kind of prayer we make.

정말 얼마나 많은 청년들이

이러한 상황 속에서

In this situation.

여러분 하나님께서 그 기도 가운데

분명히 응답해 주실 것입니다

광야에서 어떻게 하면 조금 더 기적을 경험할까가 아닙니다

거기서 한 단계 나아가야 해요

나는 아직 부족하고 연약해요

약속의 땅에 들어가 사명의 땅에 들어가

내 안에 있는 이 우울증과 그리고 이 두려움이

나를 계속해서 사로잡는다는 거예요

그 내용이 자꾸 바뀐다는 거예요

It keeps changing that content.

어떨 때는 장소 때문에

Sometimes it's because of the location.

어떨 때는 또 사람 때문에

Sometimes it's because of people.

어떨 때는 어떤 상황 때문에

Sometimes because of certain situations.

내 마음이 두려움에 자꾸 사로잡힌다는 거예요

It means that my heart keeps being seized by fear.

계속 사로잡힌다는 거예요

It means being continuously captivated.

그래서 어떤 장소로 인한 두려움을 어떻게 해결해야 되는가

So how should we address the fear caused by a particular place?

어떤 사람으로 인한 두려움은 어떻게 해결해야 되는가

How should we resolve the fear caused by a certain person?

두려움의 대상이 대상을 자꾸 바꿔가면서

The object of fear keeps changing.

내 인생에 계속 나타납니다

They keep appearing in my life.

여러분, 장소에 대한 두려움, 사람에 대한 두려움, 일에 대한 두려움

다 솔루션이 다양하잖아요

여러분, 그 솔루션 하나하나를 내 인생에 적용하며

이 성을 바라보며 하나님의 사명을 이루기 시작해요

저 다 경험해 봤습니다

열등감, 우울감, 뭐 다

Inferiority complex, depression, everything.

정말 저는 헤어날 수가 없는 거예요

I really can't escape from it.

내 방황의 끝이 언제 날까?

When will the end of my wandering come?

제 인생의 20대 고민이었어요

It was a concern of my twenties.

내 인생의 광야 시절은 대체 언제 끝나는 거야?

When will the wilderness period of my life finally end?

너무너무 방황이 깊었어요

I wandered so deeply.

방황의 그 끝자락입니다

It is the end of wandering.

방황의 완전 끝자락에

At the very end of wandering.

그때 저는 그 방황에서 헤어난 상태가 아니었어요

At that time, I was not in a state of wandering.

여전히 방황 중이었고

I was still wandering.

방황이 거의 극을 달리던 시절이에요

It's a time when wandering almost reaches its peak.

그때 한 선배가 저한테 말해주었던 거죠

At that time, a senior told me.

온누리교회 성가대에 한번 들어와 보라고

그리고 놀랍게도 제가 들어갔다는 것이고요

And surprisingly, I got in.

그리고 놀랍게도 오디션이 없었다는 사실이고

그래서 방황의 극을 달리던 제가

So, I was running to the extreme of wandering.

들어가겠다고 말한 지 2주 만에

Two weeks after saying I would go in.

온누리교회 본당에 섰다는 사실이었어요

It was the fact that I was standing in the main hall of Onnuri Church.

그런데 저는 그 사건을 오늘 다시 말씀해 드리는 것은 뭐냐면

제 인생의 문제 해결이 거기서부터 시작됐거든요

The solution to my life's problems started from there.

거기서부터예요

It's from there.

제가 회복되었기 때문에 하다는 게 쓰임 받을 수 있었던 게 아니에요

It's not that I was able to use something because I recovered.

저 부족했고요

I was lacking.

되게 연약했어요

It was very fragile.

그런데 불우심이 있는 거예요

But there is a sense of unease.

그 불우심 앞에 제가 순종의 결단을 한번 내려보았습니다

Before that divine calling, I made a decision to obey.

나 준비 안 됐는데

I'm not ready.

나 여전히 방황 중인데

I'm still wandering.

이래도 되나

그런데 신기하게 세워주는 거예요

But strangely, it makes it stand up.

저는 그때 허술했던 성가대 제도를 감사드리고 있습니다

요즘에 그러기 어려워요

옛날 여리고성은 저런 형태

The old Jericho fortress had that shape.

잘 보시면 성이 두 겹으로 되어 있다는 것을

If you look closely, you'll see that the castle has two layers.

우리가 알 수가 있습니다

We can know.

두 겹으로 지금 되어 있어요

It is currently in two layers.

외벽과 내벽 두 겹이고

It has two layers, an outer wall and an inner wall.

외벽은 5m 정도 높이의 기초 성벽이 있어요

The outer wall has a foundation wall about 5 meters high.

그 위에 지금 2m 두께

On top of that, there is currently a thickness of 2 meters.

저 두께가 2m 두께의 성벽

That wall has a thickness of 2 meters.

그리고 높이는 7m의 진흙벽돌로

And the height is 7m of mud bricks.

외벽이 놓여져 있습니다

The outer wall is laid out.

그리고 내벽은요

And what about the inner wall?

지상에서 14m 정도 높이에 올라가서

Climbing to a height of about 14 meters above the ground.

다시 다시 성이 올라가요

It's getting exciting again.

그래서 이 성이 두 겹으로 지금 되어 있기 때문에

So this castle is currently in two layers.

난공불락의 요새로

To an impregnable fortress.

불려지는 거죠

It is being called.

인간의 힘으로는 점령할 수 없는 성

A fortress that cannot be conquered by human strength.

그게 여리고입니다

That's Jericho.

어떻게 점령하는가

How to conquer?

몇 가지 함께 나누기를 원합니다

I would like to share a few things with you.

첫 번째는 믿음으로 순종하라 입니다

The first is to obey in faith.

믿음으로 순종하라

Obey with faith.

여호수하 6장 1절부터 3절까지 말씀을

The city of Jericho is due to the people of Israel.

물 쓸 틈 없이 닫혀 있었고

It was closed off without a chance to use water.

그때 여호하께서 여호수하에게 말씀하셨습니다.

At that time, the Lord spoke to Joshua.

여호수하에게 말씀하셨습니다.

He spoke to Joshua.

부하라 내가 여리고와 여리고왕

"Submit, for I am Jericho and the king of Jericho."

그리고 여리고 용사들을 내 손에 넘겨 주었다

And He delivered Jericho's warriors into my hands.

모든 군인들은 그 성을 둘러싸라

All soldiers surround the castle.

그 성을 한번 돌아라

Take a walk around the castle.

6일동안 그렇게 하여라

Do it like that for 6 days.

하나님께서 내리신 명령

The command given by God.

너무 잘 알고 계시죠

You know very well, right?

매일 한바퀴씩 돌고

Take a lap every day.

그런데 7일째에는 7바퀴를 도는 거예요

However, on the seventh day, you will make seven laps.

아래쪽 읽지 않았지만 잘 보시면은

언약계를 앞세우고

Leading the Ark of the Covenant

그리고 7명의 제사장의 나팔을 불면서

And then the seven priests blew their trumpets.

그 성을 도는 겁니다

We are circling the castle.

이해할 수 없습니다

여러분 이것에 순종하려면

If you want to obey this.

오직 믿음 뿐이라고 하는 것입니다

Why did you say to turn around?

곰곰이 생각을 해 보는데

I'm thinking it over carefully.

아 성 주변을 도는 것

Oh, circling around the castle.

여기에는 몇 가지 하지 말라는 게

There are a few things you shouldn't do here.

숨어져 있더라고요

It was hiding.

한번 그림 한번 보시겠어요?

Would you like to take a look at the drawing?

예 한번 보시면은 여리고 성이 있어요

Yes, if you take a look, there is Jericho.

여리고 성을 지금 이스라엘 백성에게 돌라고 하신 거죠

You are asking the Israelites to destroy Jericho now.

도는 거예요

It's spinning.

여러분 주변을 이렇게 도는 것은

What is circling around you like this?

몇 가지를 하지 말라는 거예요

You're telling me not to do a few things.

첫 번째 뭘 하지 말라는 거죠

What are you saying I shouldn't do first?

여리고 성으로부터 바깥으로 가지 말라는 것이고

It means do not go outside from the city of Jericho.

두 번째는 안으로 들어가지도 말라는 거예요

The second is not to go inside.

주변을 도는 것은 바로 그 중간 지점이에요

Going around is right at that midpoint.

여러분 첫 번째 바깥으로 가는 게 뭐죠

What's the first thing to go outside, everyone?

도망치지 말라라는 거예요

It means "Don't run away."

한번 외쳐보세요 도망치지 말라

Shout it out once: Don't run away.

여러분 여리고 성을 만나거든 도망치지 마십시오

If you encounter the city of Jericho, do not run away.

도망쳐서 딴 데로 가면 안 돼요

You can't just run away and go somewhere else.

두 번째 지금 안쪽으로도 엑스이죠

The second one is also an X towards the inside.

안쪽으로 들어가는 것도 엑스예요

Going inside is also an X.

저건 뭐냐 하면은

What that is, is...

하나님께서 주변을 돌라고 하셨는데

God said to look around.

돌지 아니하고 그 여리고 성을 공격해 버린 거예요

They attacked the Jericho city without going around it.

이거는 내 힘으로 여리고 성을 무너뜨리려고 하는 겁니다

I'm trying to bring down the Jericho wall with my own strength.

두 번째 경우입니다

This is the second case.

내 힘으로 여리고 성을 공격해서도 안 되는 거예요

I shouldn't attack the city of Jericho with my own strength.

내 힘으로 여리고 성을 정복하려고 하면

If I try to conquer the city of Jericho with my own strength,

절대로 여리고 성은 무너지지 않는 성이에요

The city of Jericho is a stronghold that will never fall.

아까 보셨던 것처럼

As you saw earlier

여러분 안으로 들어가는 경우는 또 한 경우가 있어요

There is another case where you go inside.

그것은 뭐냐면은 여리고 성을 보니까

What it means is that when I see the city of Jericho...

너무 강해 보이고 너무 대단해 보여서

You look so strong and impressive.

나 그냥 저 성 주민 돼야겠다

I guess I'll just become a resident of that castle.

그래가지고 그 성 주민이 돼 버린 거예요

So I ended up becoming a resident of that castle.

귀화한 거죠 여리고 주민으로

You've naturalized as a resident of Jericho.

그래도 안 된다는 거예요

Still, it's not possible.

세 가지를 하지 마라 도망치지 마라

Don't do three things: don't run away.

네 힘으로 하려고 하지 마라

Don't try to do it on your own.

그러나 그 성 주민이 되어서도 안 된다

However, you should not become a resident of that city.

들어가서도 안 되고 나가서도 안 되고 뭘 하죠?

I can't go in, and I can't go out. What should I do?

그러면 중간 지점에서 하는 제3의 선택이에요

Then it's a third option that takes place in the middle point.

그것이 도는 거예요

That is what turns.

도는 겁니다

It is a fear.

여러분 이것을 돌 때

When you turn this, everyone...

여러분 이들이 이렇게 발로 밟으면서 걸었다라는 것을 우리가 알 수 있습니다

We can see that they walked while stepping on the ground like this.

여러분 발로 밟으면서 그 성을 돌 때

As you walk and step on that castle with your feet.

이들은 그냥 돈 게 아니죠

They are not just making money.

여기에는 하나님의 약속이 있었어요

There was a promise from God here.

함께 여우수와 1장 2절 3절 말씀을 읽어보겠습니다

내 종 모세가 죽었으니

My servant Moses has died.

너와 이 모든 백성들은 이제 일어나

You and all these people, now rise up.

내가 이스라엘 백성들에게 주는 땅으로 가거라

내가 모세에게 말한 대로

As I spoke to Moses

내가 내 발로 밟는 곳마다

Wherever I step with my own feet

내게 줄 것이다

You will give it to me.

이것이 바로 여우수와가 시작할 때

This is when Joshua begins.

여우수와가 민족을 이끄는 지도자가 되었을 때

When Joshua became the leader guiding the nation.

하나님께서 여우수와에게 처음에 약속하신 거예요

This is what God promised to Joshua in the beginning.

내가 밟는 곳을 너에게 줄이라

I will give you the place that I step on.

이것이 바로 이스라엘 민족이

This is exactly the Israeli nation.

여리고성 주변을 돌면서 그곳을 발로 밟았던 까닭입니다

That's why we walked around the area of Jericho and trampled it with our feet.

약속이 있었기 때문이에요

It's because I had an appointment.

돌고 돌고 돌면서

Spinning and spinning around

내가 밟는 이곳

The place I step on.

바로 이곳을 하나님이 주시리라

God will give this place right here.

그 믿음을 가지고 논 거예요

I played with that belief.

여우수와 6장 2절의 말씀을 다시 한번 또 읽어보시겠습니다

그때 여호와께서 여우수와에게 말씀하셨습니다

At that time, the Lord spoke to Joshua.

부하라 내가 여리고와 여리고 왕

"Behold, I am the king of Jericho and the king of Jericho."

그리고 여리고 용사들을 내 손에 넘겨 주었다

And He handed the Jericho warriors over to me.

여러분 하나님의 약속이 계속 있어요

God's promises are still there for you all.

여러분 이들이 그 성을 돌 수 있는 까닭이에요

This is the reason why they can go around that castle.

믿음의 근원에는 나의 결단이 있는 것이 아니라

The source of faith is not in my determination.

믿음의 근원에는 하나님의 약속이 있는 겁니다

At the root of faith is God's promise.

그 약속을 기억하는 걸

I remember that promise.

그 약속을 붙잡는 것입니다

It is to hold on to that promise.

여러분 그리고

Everyone and

또 한 가지 우리가 좀 발견하는 게 있습니다

There is one more thing we are discovering.

그것은 하나님은 7일 동안 이 성을 돌라고 하셨다라는

That is, God commanded to circle this city for seven days.

그 약속을 기억하는 것입니다

It is to remember that promise.

그것도 또 의문이죠

That's another question, isn't it?

왜 하나님은 7일 동안 돌라고 하셨을까

Why did God command them to march for seven days?

그냥 첫날에 한 바퀴 돌았을 때 무너뜨릴 수 있지 않으셨을까요?

Couldn’t you have just brought it down when you went around on the first day?

하나님께는 그런 능력이 없을까요?

Doesn't God have such power?

저는 하나님이 능력이 있으시다고 믿습니다

I believe that God has the power.

그런데 놀랍게도 7일이 지나서

But surprisingly, after 7 days...

그것도 7바퀴 마지막 날은 7바퀴를 돈 후에

That too, after completing the 7 laps on the last day.

나팔을 불고 함성을 지를 때

When blowing the trumpet and shouting cheers.

비로소 성은 무너졌거든요

At last, the castle has collapsed.

7일에

On the 7th.

여러분 왜 7일이라는 시간을 주셨는가

Why did you give us a period of seven days?

여러분 이 7일은 기다림의 시간

Everyone, these 7 days are a time of waiting.

여러분 믿음의 다른 말은

Another word for faith, everyone, is

기다림이라고 하는 것이죠

It's called waiting.

하나님의 약속과

God's promise and

그 약속의 성취 사이의 기다림입니다

It is the wait between the fulfillment of that promise.

여러분 성은 언제 무너졌습니까?

When did your castle fall?

마지막 날 마지막 바퀴를 돌고

On the last day, turning the last wheel.

나팔을 불고 함성을 지를 때

When blowing the trumpet and shouting.

그때 성이 무너진 것입니다

At that time, the castle was destroyed.

그전은 아닙니다

It's not before that.

만약 이랬으면 좀 쉬웠을 거예요

If it had been like this, it would have been a bit easier.

하루를 한 바퀴 돌았더니

After going around for a day

벽돌이 하나 뚝 떨어지는 거예요

A brick falls down suddenly.

두 번째 날을 한 바퀴 딱 돌았더니

After completing a full lap on the second day,

벽 한쪽이 확 무너지는 거예요

One side of the wall is collapsing completely.

그러면 그 도는 게 얼마나 신났겠어요

Then how excited must that province be?

와우 돌면 돌수록 무너지는구나

Wow, the more it turns, the more it collapses.

계속 돌자

Let’s keep spinning.

정말 신났을 거예요

You must have been really excited.

그런데 상황은 그렇지 않았습니다

However, the situation was not like that.

한 바퀴를 돌았는데요

I took a lap.

아무 이상이 없었습니다

There was nothing wrong.

다음 날 또 돌았는데

The next day, I went around again.

전혀 이상이 없어요

There's nothing wrong at all.

7일째 돌았는데 아무 이상이 없어요

It's been spinning for 7 days, but there are no issues.

7바퀴를 돌았을 때도

Even when I went around 7 times

아무 이상이 없는 거예요

There is nothing wrong.

이것이 우리가 인생에 맞이하는 현실이죠

This is the reality we face in life.

믿음의 발걸음을 옮기면

When you take a step of faith

눈에 보이는 게 좀 있어야 되는데

There should be something visible.

눈에 보이는 게 없는 거예요

There's nothing visible.

눈에 보기에는 변화가 아무것도 없는 거예요

To the eye, there seems to be no changes at all.

여러분 그때 어떻게 해야 되는가 하는 겁니다

Everyone, it's about what we should do at that time.

믿음은 끝까지 가는 것입니다

Faith is about persevering until the end.

끝까지 하나님을 신뢰하는 여러분 되시기를

성을 돌면서 말하지 말아라

Don't talk while going around the castle.

말하면 누구한테 말하는 겁니까

Who are you talking to when you speak?

옆 사람하고 말하는 거죠

You're talking to the person next to you.

사람끼리 말을 하지 마라

Do not talk among people.

이것이 하나님의 명령이었습니다

This was God's command.

사람끼리 왜 말하지 말라는 거예요

Why shouldn't people talk to each other?

왜 말하지 말라는 거예요

Why are you telling me not to talk?

왜 말하지 말라고 했을까요

Why did they tell me not to speak?

그 까닭은 사람인 말을 할 때

The reason is when a person speaks.

언제나 자기가 본 것만 얘기하거든요

He/she always only talks about what he/she has seen.

만약

If

이스라엘 백성들이 그 성을 돌면서

The people of Israel were circling around the city.

서로 대화를 나누라고 했으면

If you had told us to have a conversation with each other.

이렇게 말했을 거예요

I would have said it like this.

돌면서 하루 돌고

Going around in circles for a day.

아무것도 안 떨어지네

Nothing is falling.

이틀째 아무런 변화가 없는데

There has been no change for two days.

어떡하지

What should I do?

아무 일도 없을 것 같아

I don't think anything will happen.

여러분 사람끼리 서로 이야기를 하면

When people talk to each other...

이야기의 방향은 언제나

The direction of the story is always

부정적인 방향으로 계속 흘러가요

It keeps flowing in a negative direction.

사람끼리만 대화를 하면

If only people talk to each other,

대화를 나누면 그 대화는 언제나

When having a conversation, that conversation is always...

눈에 보이는 현실만 이야기하게 돼 있습니다

I can only talk about the reality that is visible.

여러분 하나님은 침묵하라

Everyone, God says to be silent.

침묵하라

Silence!

너도 말하지 말고

Don't say anything either.

사람 이야기 듣지도 마라

Don't even listen to people's stories.

Be silent.

그 대신 하나님의 음성을

기다림의 시간입니다

그 7일의 시간은 기도하는 시간입니다

The seven days are a time for prayer.

하나님의 음성에

귀를 기울이는 시간입니다

It is time to listen.

침묵하며 하나님의 음성에

그때 그들은 하나님을 깊이 만나는 걸

이전에 만날 수 없었던

We couldn't meet before.

그 하나님을 만납니다

I meet that God.

더 깊게 더 깊게

Deeper and deeper.

그 7일의 기다림의 시간은

The waiting time of those 7 days is

그들의 신앙의 깊이를 만들고

Creating the depth of their faith.

넓이를 만들고 그들의 인격의

Creating space for their personalities.

깊이와 넓이를 만드는 시간입니다

It’s time to create depth and breadth.

그 시간이 지나갔을 때

여러분 그 시간 하루하루를 보낼 때

그들의 인생은

달라져가는 걸

It's changing.

그 7일은 하나님께서 그들을

That seventh day is when God...

정말 하나님의 사람으로 훈련하는

Truly training to be a person of God.

여러분 7일이라는 숫자는 완전 숫자입니다

The number 7 is a perfect number.

온전히 기다리라는 것입니다

It means to wait completely.

여러분 하나님의 뜻이

Everyone, the will of God is

그러면 성벽이 와르르

Then the fortress walls will collapse.

무너져 내릴 것이니

It will collapse.

백성들은 일제히 올라가라

The people shall rise up altogether.

하나님께서 이스라엘 백성들로 하여금

God caused the people of Israel to

성을 돌라고 이야기하실 때

When you tell me to turn around the castle.

그 구성 내용이 있어요

There is that content of the composition.

행렬의 구성은 뭐냐면

What is the composition of the matrix?

최선두에 하나님의 언약괴가 있는 겁니다

At the forefront is the Ark of the Covenant of God.

그리고 하나님의 언약괴 바로 앞에는

군대들이 뒤를 따라가는 것이었어요

The armies were following behind.

여러분 선두에 하나님의 법괴가 있어요

There is the Ark of God at the front, everyone.

하나님의 법괴는 하나님의 임재입니다

The Ark of God is the presence of God.

여러분 하나님의 임재가 있는 곳

Wherever the presence of God is, my friends.

그리고 두 번째

And the second.

하나님을 향한 찬양의 나팔 소리가 있는 곳이었어요

It was a place where the sound of the trumpet of praise to God was present.

그리고 백성들은

And the people

하나님의 말씀에 순종해서

In obedience to God's word

그 순종의 발걸음을 옮기고 있는 중이었어요

I was in the process of taking the steps of obedience.

그렇게 매일매일 그 성을 돌고 있는 것입니다

So every day, I am going around that castle.

하나님의 임재가 있고

There is the presence of God.

하나님을 향한 찬양의 연주가 있는 곳

A place where there is a performance of praise to God.

하나님을 향한 순종의 발걸음이 있는 곳

Where there are footsteps of obedience toward God.

이것을 합쳐서 한마디로 이야기하면

To put it all together in one phrase,

예배입니다

It is worship.

여러분 7일 동안 이스라엘 백성들이

For seven days, the people of Israel...

언약괴를 들러매고

Carrying the Ark of the Covenant

나팔을 불면서 매일 한 바퀴씩 돌았던 것은요

What I did while blowing the trumpet was to go around once every day.

예배입니다

It is a worship service.

이스라엘 백성들은 매일매일

The people of Israel every day

여리고성 전체를 예배의 자리로 바꾼 것입니다

It has transformed the entire city of Jericho into a place of worship.

매일 예배의 자리로 바꾼 거예요

I’ve turned it into a place of worship every day.

매일 매일 매일 매일 바꾼 것입니다

It's something that changes every single day.

여러분 그리고 마지막 순간에

You all, and in the last moment.

그 예배의 절정은

The climax of that worship is

일곱 번째 날 일곱 바퀴를 돈 이후에

On the seventh day, after circling seven times.

양강 나팔 소리를 울리면서

While sounding the grand trumpet.

이스라엘 백성들이 함성을 지르는 순간이었어요

It was a moment when the people of Israel were shouting.

그때 성은 무너져 내립니다

At that moment, the castle collapses.

여러분 예배가 있는 곳에

Where there is worship, everyone.

하나님의 임재가 있습니다

There is the presence of God.

하나님이 임하시면

When God comes.

여리고성이 무너지는 줄 믿습니다

I believe the walls of Jericho will fall.

나팔은요 승리했을 때 부는 걸

The trumpet is blown when victory is achieved.

이 나팔은 하나님을 찬양하는 나팔이거든요

This trumpet is a trumpet that praises God.

승리자가 하는 행위예요

It's an act of a victor.

여러분 성이 무너졌기 때문에

Because your castle has fallen.

승리의 함성을 외치는 것이 아니에요

It's not about chanting the victory cry.

승리의 함성을 외칠 때 성이 무너지는 것입니다

When we shout the cry of victory, the castle falls.

Everyone, this cry of victory is...

찬양의 절정입니다
