이스라엘의 첫 번째 왕은 사우랑입니다

The first king of Israel is Saul.

사우랑은 사사시대를 접고 왕정시대를 여는 개척자였습니다

Saorang was a pioneer who closed the era of the Sasa and opened the era of monarchy.

사우랑은 처음에는 겸손했고

At first, Saul was humble.

그리고 또 이스라엘 백성들을 위해서 전쟁에 나가기를 주저하지 않았던 용감한 왕이었습니다

And he was a brave king who did not hesitate to go to war for the people of Israel.

그렇지만 그는 하나님과의 관계에서 실패하게 되면서

However, he begins to fail in his relationship with God.

하나님의 마음을 아프게 했습니다

I hurt God's heart.

사우랑의 문제가 있다면

If there is a problem with Saura.

그가 하나님의 명령에 불순종한 것뿐 아니라

Not only did he disobey God's command.

그의 잘못을 자꾸만 변명하려만 하지

Don't keep trying to make excuses for his mistakes.

하나님을 위하여

For God.

그의 앞에 진정한 회계를 하지 않았다는 데 있습니다

It lies in the fact that he did not truly account for it.

하나님께서는 사우랑에게 많은 능력을 주셨지만

God gave Saul many powers, but

그는 그 능력으로 하나님께 영광을 돌리기보다는

Rather than glorifying God with that ability

자기의 영광을 구했습니다

He sought his own glory.

그리고 그는 하나님, 그 하나님을 주목해서

And he focuses on God, that God.

하나님의 뜻대로 백성들을 다스리기보다는

Rather than governing the people according to God's will,

백성들의 시선과 또 사람들의 평가에 귀를 기울이면서

Listening to the gaze of the people and the evaluations of others.

정작 하나님의 뜻을 따라 살아가는 것이 아니라

Rather than actually living according to God's will,

사람들의 비위를 맞추는 그런 교만한 가운데

Amidst such arrogance that caters to people's whims.

하나님으로부터 점점 멀어지는 그런 모습을 보여줍니다

It shows a 모습 that is gradually distancing itself from God.

결국 하나님은 사우를 대신해서 다이술 왕으로 세우게 됩니다

In the end, God establishes David as king instead of Saul.

오늘 본문은 사무엘 선지자로 하여금

Today's text is about the prophet Samuel.

다이술 왕으로 세우는 그러한 내용입니다

It is about establishing Daesul as king.

저는 이 본문을 통해서 하나님께서 어떤 사람을 선택하시는가

Through this text, I am exploring how God chooses people.

그리고 또한 선택한 그 사람을 하나님께서 선택하시는가

And also, does God choose that person you have chosen?

하나님 어떻게 도우시는가를 여러분과 나누길 원합니다

I want to share with you how God helps.

먼저 첫 번째, 오늘 본문에서 우리는 하나님은

First of all, in the text today, we see that God is

마음의 중심을 보신다는 것을 알 수 있습니다

I can see that you are looking at the center of the heart.

하나님이 선택할 때 그 기준은 그 사람의 중심입니다

When God chooses, the criterion is the person's heart.

마음의 중심입니다

It is the center of the heart.

우리 6절에서 10절까지의 말씀을 다시 한번 읽어보겠습니다

Let’s read the verses from 6 to 10 once again.

그들이 도착하자 사무엘이 엘리압을 보고 생각했습니다

When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought,

여호와께서 기름 부으실 사람이 정말 여호와 앞에 나와 있구나

The person whom the Lord has anointed is truly here before the Lord.

그러나 여호와께서 사무엘에게 말씀하셨습니다

But the Lord said to Samuel.

겉모습이나 키를 보지 마라 나는 그를 이미 버렸다

Don't judge by appearance or height; I have already discarded him.

내가 보는 것은 사람이 보는 것과 다르다

What I see is different from what a person sees.

사람은 겉모습을 보지만 여호와는 마음의 중심을 보신다

People look at outward appearances, but the Lord looks at the heart.

그때 이세가 아비나답을 불러 사무엘 앞을 지나가게 했습니다

At that time, Jesse called Abinadab and made him pass before Samuel.

그러나 사무엘은 이 아들도 여호와께서 선택하신 사람을

But Samuel saw that this son was also a man chosen by the Lord.

아니다라고 말했습니다

I said no.

이세가 산마를 지나가게 하자 사무엘이 또 말했습니다

As Isaac passed by the hill, Samuel spoke again.

이 아들도 여호와께서 선택하지 않으셨다

This son was not chosen by the Lord.

이세는 자신의 일곱 아들들 모두를 사무엘 앞에 지나가게 했지만

Jesse had all seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but

사무엘은 이렇게 말했습니다

Samuel said this.

여호와께서 이들을 선택하지 않으셨다

The Lord did not choose them.

하나님께서는 사무엘을 통해서 사우랑을 대신해

God replaced Saul through Samuel.

이스라엘의 다음아버지로서는

As the next father of Israel

왕으로 이세의 아들들 가운데 한 명을 선택하게 하셨습니다

He made me choose one of the sons of Ise to be king.

왜 하나님께서 이세의 아들들 가운데서 왕을 선택했는지에 대해서

Why God chose a king from among the sons of Jesse.

성경은 정확하게 설명하고 있지는 않습니다

The Bible does not explain things accurately.

그러나 우리가 추측해 볼 수 있는 것은

However, what we can speculate is

이세의 아들들 가운데 한 명을 왕으로 세우는 것은

Setting one of Ise's sons as king is

하나님 예언의 성취라고 말할 수 있습니다

It can be said that this is the fulfillment of God's prophecy.

이세는 유다의 자손이었습니다

Jesse was a descendant of Judah.

그리고 우연의 일치인지

And perhaps it's a coincidence.

이세의 이름의 뜻이 사람이라는 뜻을 갖고 있습니다

The meaning of the name Ise is "person."

신약성경에 보면 예수님은 종종 당신을 사람의 아들로 표현하셨어요

In the New Testament, Jesus often referred to himself as the Son of Man.

인자라고 표현하셨습니다

You referred to it as benevolence.

다이시 예수님의 예표라고 할 수 있다면

이세는 모두 여덟 명의 아들과 두 명의 딸이 있었습니다

그래서 사무엘이 왔을 때

So when Samuel came.

이세는 먼저 큰아들 엘리압을 보여줍니다

Jesse first shows his eldest son Eliab.

엘리압은 아마도 그 외모가 왕이 될 만한 외모를 가졌던 것 같습니다

Eliab probably had the kind of appearance that would make him suited to be a king.

그리고 사무엘도 엘리압을 보고는 그렇게 생각했습니다

And Samuel also thought the same when he saw Eliab.

이야, 진짜 하나님이 예배한 사람이 여기 있구나

Wow, there really is someone prepared by God here.

그렇게 생각을 했었습니다

I thought so.

그런데 하나님께서 7절에 보면

However, if you look at verse 7, God...

사무엘에게 이야기합니다

I talk to Samuel.

사무엘에게 하는 이 이야기가

This story being told to Samuel

저와 여러분 우리 모두에게 얼마나 위로가 되는지

How comforting it is for me and all of you.

그러나 외모가 자신 있는 분은 안 그렇겠지만

However, those who are confident in their appearance might not feel that way.

하나님이 얘기합니다

God speaks.

사무엘아, 사람들은 겉모습을 보지만

Samuel, people only see the appearance, but...

나는 말이야

I'm talking about myself.

마음의 중심을 본다

I see the center of my heart.

그 키와 외모를 보지 마라

Don't judge by that height and appearance.

이렇게 얘기합니다

They say it like this.

그래서 이세는 둘째 아들인 아비나답을 보여주지만

So, Jesse showed his second son, Abinadab.

그도 하나님이 택하지 않고

He was not chosen by God either.

셋째 아들 삼마도 보여주지만 그도 택하지 않습니다

He shows the third son, Samma, but he doesn't choose him either.

이렇게 모두 일곱 명의 아들을 다 보여주지만

"I show all seven sons like this, but..."

사무엘 앞을 지나가게 하지만

But it makes you pass in front of Samuel.

아무도 택함을 받지 못합니다

No one is chosen.

사무엘은 그래서 이세에게

Samuel then said to Jesse

이렇게

결국 이세가 가지고 있는

일곱 아들을 다 보여주지만

그렇지만 하나님께서 그렇게 택하지 않죠

그러니까 사무엘이

아들이 또 있느냐 이렇게 묻게 되어집니다

그래서 우리가 아는 것처럼

다잇이 택함을 받게 되는 기회를 갖게 되죠

그러나 하나님은

엘리압은 어떻게 보면

뛰어난 외모와

Outstanding appearance and

또 자신감이 있었는지 모르지만

그러나 그 뒤에 나오는 성경을 보면

Eliab was his brother.

이렇게 사랑하지도 않았다

I didn't love like this.

어떤 것 같습니다

그리고 사무엘이 왔을 때

다잇은 그냥 부르지 않은 것은

그러나 사무엘은

사무엘 앞을 지나갈 때

사용하는 것이다

사용한다고 이야기하고 있습니다

사람들은 외모를 보지만

People look at appearances, but...

하나님은 마음의 중심을 봅니다

God sees the heart's center.

사람들은 외적인 요소들의 관심을 갖지만

People are concerned about external factors, but

하나님은 그 내면의 요소에 관심을 갖습니다

God is concerned with the inner elements.

사람들은 과거나 배경을 보지만

People look at the past or background, but

하나님은 미래의 가능성을 보는 거죠

God sees the possibilities of the future.

그래서 사람들은 잘못 선택하지만

So people make the wrong choices.

하나님은 잘못된 선택을 바로 잡아주시는 분이십니다

God is the one who corrects our wrong choices.

Ladies and gentlemen.

하나님이 우리의 마음의 중심을 보시는 분임을

God is the one who sees the center of our hearts.

기억하시기 바랍니다

우리의 마음을 중심으로 보시는 분임을

You are someone who sees from the center of our hearts.

우리의 마음으로 하나님 앞에 나가야 될 것입니다

We must come before God with our hearts.

사람들은 우리의 외모나

People focus on our appearance or

우리가 가지고 있는 배경에 집중하지만

But we focus on the background we have.

진짜 중요한 것은

What really matters is

우리의 마음의 중심입니다

It is the center of our hearts.

왜냐하면 하나님이

Because God

그 마음의 중심을 보시기 때문에 그렇죠

It's because you can see the heart of that mind.

일상에 충성된 사람을

A person loyal to their daily life.

The person chosen by God is

착하고 충성된 사람입니다

He is a kind and loyal person.

착하다는 것은 주인의 뜻에

To be obedient means to follow the master's will.

또 하나님의 결정을

Another decision from God.

기쁘게 받아들이고 순종하는 사람이죠

It's a person who joyfully accepts and obeys.

충성된다는 것은

Being loyal means

자기에게 주어진 일에 게으르지 않고

Not being lazy with the tasks given to oneself.

최선을 다해서 열매를 맺는 사람을 말합니다

It refers to a person who does their best and bears fruit.

사무엘은 엘리알비나 아비나답 산마에

Samuel is at Elialbina Abinadab in Shammah.

그 외모를 보았지만

I saw that appearance, but...

실제 그들의 인격이

In reality, their character is

그들의 일상의 삶의 태도는 보지 못했습니다

I did not see their attitude towards everyday life.

사무엘은 또 이세에게

그런데 그 뉘앙스가 이렇게 좀 안 좋습니다

하나님은 어떤 사람을 부르는가

Who does God call?

자기에게 주어진 일상의 삶에 충성된 사람을 부릅니다

It refers to a person who is loyal to the daily life given to them.

다이시 골리아가 싸우러 나가고자 할 때 사오랑이 말합니다

When Daishi Goliath wants to go out to fight, Saolang says.

너는 어리고 또 너는 전쟁터에서 잘하지도 않았는데

You are young, and you did not perform well in the battlefield.

어찌 싸우겠느냐라고 말합니다

그때 다이시 사오랑에게 자기에 대해서 이렇게 설명합니다

우리 사무엘상 17장 34제에서 36절인데요

This is 1 Samuel 17:34-36.

다이시 자기를 사오랑에게 설명하는 장면입니다

This is a scene where Daishi explains himself to Saorang.

왕의 존인 저는 아버지의 왕들을 지켜왔습니다

뒷쫓아가서 때려 쓰러뜨리고 그 입에서 양을 구해냈습니다

I chased after it, hit it down, and rescued the sheep from its mouth.

그리고 제게 달려들면 털을 움켜잡고 때려 죽였습니다

And when it charged at me, I grabbed its fur and beat it to death.

그렇게 사자도 죽이고 곰도 죽였습니다

In that way, it killed both the lion and the bear.

저 할래 받지 못한 불레새 사람도 그 짐승들 가운데 하나처럼 될 것입니다

I will be like one of those beasts, even the Philistine who has not received the gift.

살아계신 하나님의 군대를 모욕한 사람을 어찌 그냥 내버려 둘 수 있단 말입니까

How can we just let someone who insults the army of the living God go unpunished?

Dear congregation, God calls those who are faithful in their daily lives.

다이시는 얘기합니다

Daishi says.

왕에게 왕이셔 나는 아버지의 양을 지키는 중에

O king, I am your king, while I am tending to my father's sheep.

사자가 와서 곰이 와서 양을 데려가면 뒷쫓아가서 때려 눕혀

When the lion comes and the bear comes to take the sheep, chase after them and hit them down.

그리고 그 입에서 사자의 입에서 곰의 입에서 양을 건져냈습니다

And from that mouth, I rescued sheep from the mouths of lions and bears.

내게 달려들면 털을 붙잡고 그를 때려 죽였습니다

When he lunged at me, I grabbed his fur and beat him to death.

그렇게 사자도 죽이고 곰도 죽였습니다 라고 얘기합니다

They say that they killed both the lion and the bear.

사오른 자기에게 맡겨진 양을 치는 일을 더럽다고 여기지 않았습니다

He did not consider the task of tending to the sheep entrusted to him as dirty work.

하찮다고 여기지 않았습니다

I did not consider it trivial.

그리고 그 양을 치는 그 일을 위해서

And for the purpose of herding those sheep.

사자와도 싸우고

Fight even with a lion.

곰도 싸웠다고 얘기하고 있습니다

The bear is also said to have fought.

하나님은 누구를 부르시는가

Who does God call?

일상의 자기 삶의 작은 일이지만 충성을 다하는 사람을 부르십니다

You call upon those who dedicate themselves to small tasks in their daily lives.

다이시는 양을 치다가 부르심을 받았습니다

Daisy was called while tending to the sheep.

모세도 양을 치다가 부르심을 받았고

Moses was also called while tending sheep.

암모스 선지자도 농사를 짓다가 하나님의 부름을 받고

The prophet Amos was also tending to his crops when he received a call from God.

기두온도 타장마닥에서 포도주를 재배하다가 하나님의 부름을 받았습니다

Gideon was called by God while cultivating grapes in the vineyard.

성대 여러분 내가 하고 있는 일상의 일이 하나님을 경험하는 순간이 될 수 있습니다

Ladies and gentlemen, the everyday activities I am engaged in can become moments of experiencing God.

하나님은 일상의 삶에 충성을 다하는 사람을 기뻐하십니다

God delights in those who are faithful in their daily lives.

하나님의 임재연습이라는 아주 탁월한 영성훈련서를 쓴 로렌스 수사라는 분이 계시는데

There is a person named Brother Lawrence who wrote an outstanding spiritual training book called "Practicing the Presence of God."

그는 평생 주방에서 설거지하는 일을 했습니다

He worked washing dishes in the kitchen his entire life.

그렇지만 그가 했던 말들 그가 쓰는 책이 영성에 깊은 교훈을 주는

However, the words he spoke and the books he wrote give deep lessons on spirituality.

위대한 영성가로 또 책으로 우리에게 전해주고 있습니다

It is being conveyed to us through a great spiritual figure and also through books.

다이시 골리아스를 무찌른 것은

What defeated the giant Goliath was...

창도 아니고 칼도 아니었습니다

It was neither a window nor a knife.

그것은 그가 양을 지키기 위해서 연습했던 물멧돌

It is the slingstone he practiced with to protect the sheep.

물멧돌 던지는 그 일

The act of throwing a millstone.

그가 양을 치기 위해서 그에게 필요했던 그 기술

The skills he needed to tend to the sheep.

그 기술이 하나님 손에 들려져서 골리아스를 넘어뜨리는

That skill is in God's hands, bringing down Goliath.

하나님의 도구가 되는 것입니다

To become a tool of God.

우리에게 주어진 일상의 삶에 내가 최선을 다할 때

When I do my best in the daily life that has been given to us.

그 일상의 삶에 하나님께서 개입하시면

If God intervenes in that daily life.

그것이 하나님의 훈련의 도구가 되고

It becomes a tool for God's training.

가정이 되고 하나님의 임재를 경험하는 순간이 되는 것이죠

It becomes a moment of becoming a family and experiencing the presence of God.

다이시는 사무엘로부터 왕이 된다는 말을 들었습니다

David heard from Samuel that he would become king.

그리고 기름분을 받았습니다

And I received the oil.

그렇지만 다이시 형들에게 자기가 왕이 된다고

But he said to the Daishi brothers that he would become the king.

왕의 후보라고 자랑한 기록이 없습니다

There is no record bragging about being a candidate for the king.

그는 기름분 받고 또 가서 양을 쳤습니다

He received the oil and went to herd the sheep.

다이시 사무엘이 너가 사우랑에 이어서 왕이 될 거다라고 말을 들었다고 해서

I heard that Daishi Samuel said you will become king after Saul.

다이시 사무엘 왕에게 찾아가서

David went to see King Saul.

왕이여 이제 내려오시죠 그 자리는 내 겁니다 라고 얘기하지도 않았습니다

Your Majesty, come down now; I didn’t even say that seat is mine.

나중에 성경에 보게 되면

If you look at the Bible later

다이시 사우랑의 악기 귀신들인 것을 쫓아내는

Driving away the musical spirits of Daishi Saou.

그런 왕궁의 악사가 됩니다 수금 타는 자가 되는데

I will become a musician in such a royal palace and a player of the stringed instrument.

다이시는 그 왕궁에서 수금 타는 일이 마쳐지면

Daisy, when she finishes playing the harp in that palace,

그는 또 들러나가서 그 아버지의 양을

He went out again to tend to his father's sheep.

계속 쳤습니다

I kept hitting.

다이시는 자기에게 주어진 일상의 일을 계속했고

Daishi continued with the daily tasks assigned to him.

그 일들을 통해서 하나님은 역사하셨습니다

Through those events, God has worked.

저와 여러분 달란투비에 나오는 것처럼

Like you and I appear in "Dalantubi."

착하고 충성된 종아 너가 작은 일에 충성했으니

Good and faithful servant, because you have been faithful in a little thing...

내가 더 큰 일을 맡기겠다고 말씀하신 것 같이

As you mentioned that you would entrust me with bigger tasks.

내게 주어진 일상의 삶에 최선을 다할 때

When I do my best in the daily life given to me.

그것이 하나님 손에 들려지게 되어질 때

When it is held in the hands of God.

그것이 하나님의 일을 감당하는 하나님의 이름을 기억하시기 바랍니다

Please remember the name of God as you carry out God's work.

하나님은 일상의 자기의 삶에 충성된 사람을 부르십니다

God calls those who are faithful in their daily lives.

마지막 세 번째 제가 제일 여러분과 나누고 싶은 본문인데

The last third is the text I most want to share with you all.

하나님께서는 선택하신 후에 부르신 후에

God called after choosing.

능력을 주신다는 것입니다

It means that you are being given abilities.

우리 13절 말씀 같이 한번 읽어보겠습니다

Let's read the verse 13 together.

13절입니다 시작

It’s verse 13, let’s begin.

사모엘은 기름이 담긴 뿔을 가져와

Samuel brought a flask of oil.

그 형제들 앞에서 다이색의 기름을 부었습니다

He anointed David in front of his brothers.

그날 이후로는 다이색의 기름을 부었습니다

Since that day, I poured oil of the color dye.

그날 이후로 여호와의 영이 크게 다이색에 임했습니다

From that day on, the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David.

그리고 난데이 사모엘은 거기를 떠나 라마로 갔습니다

And then Samuel left there and went to Ramah.

사모엘이 다이색의 기름을 붓고 나서

After Samuel poured the oil on David.

13절에 보니까 뭐라고 했냐면

In verse 13, what does it say?

그날 이후로 여호와의 영이 크게 다이색에 임했다는 겁니다

Since that day, the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David.

그러니까 하나님이 기름 부으시고

So God anointed.

하나님이 선택하여 기름을 부었을 때

When God chose and anointed.

하나님의 영이 임했다는 겁니다

It means that the Spirit of God has come.

하나님의 능력이 다이색에 임했다는 것입니다

The power of God has come upon David.

원래 다이색이 강했던 게 아니라

It wasn't that the dye color was strong originally.

하나님의 영이 그에게 주어져서 임해서

God's spirit was given to him and came upon him.

다이색이 위대한 왕이 될 수 있는 능력을 갖췄다는 것입니다

It means that Daisek has the ability to become a great king.

다이색이 강한 게 아니라 하나님이 강하신 것이죠

It's not that the dye is strong, but that God is strong.

하나님이 다이색을 이스라엘 왕으로 세우고

God made David the king of Israel.

그에 맞는 능력을 주셨다는 겁니다

It means that He has given us the abilities that match that.

하나님은 우리를 선택하시고 일을 맡긴다면

If God chooses us and gives us a task,

하나님이 일을 맡기면 그 일을 감당할 능력도 주신다는 거예요

When God entrusts a task, He also gives the ability to handle it.

하나님은 우리를 선택하시고 일을 맡긴다면

If God chooses us and entrusts us with a task.

사울왕도 마찬가지였어요

King Saul was the same.

사울도 기름 부음을 받고 왕으로 세운 받았을 때

When Saul was anointed and set as king.

하나님의 영이 그에게 임해서 그에게도 능력을 주었습니다

The Spirit of God came upon him and gave him power.

사무엘상 10장 6절 말씀인데요

This is the verse from 1 Samuel 10:6.

사울이 기름 부음을 받고 나서 사무엘이 사울에게 하는 이야기입니다

This is the story that Samuel tells Saul after Saul has been anointed.

같이 한번 사울왕에게 하는 얘기인데요

This is a story we’re telling together about King Saul.

같이 한번 읽어보겠습니다

당신에게도 여호와의 영이 능력으로 임하실 것이며

The Spirit of the Lord will come upon you with power.

당신도 그들과 함께 예언하게 될 것이오

You will also prophesy with them.

그러면 당신은 전혀 다른 새 사람으로 변하게 될 것이오

Then you will become a completely different person.

성대 여러분 하나님은 우리에게 일을 맡기시면 능력도 주시는 분이십니다

Dear congregation, God gives us the ability when He entrusts work to us.

하나님이 우리에게 일을 시키시면 사명을 주시면

If God gives us work and a mission.

그 일을 감당할 수 있는 사명을 감당할 능력도 주시는 분이십니다

He is the one who gives us the ability to bear the mission we can handle.

중요한 것은 내가 금그릇이냐 질그릇이냐가 아니라

What matters is not whether I am a gold vessel or an earthen vessel.

내가 이 일을 할 수 있느냐 못하느냐가 아니라

It's not about whether I can do this job or not.

이 일이 하나님의 일이냐

Is this work God's work?

이 일이 하나님이 내게 맡기신 일이냐 아니냐를

Is this something that God has entrusted to me or not?

우리가 물어야 될 것입니다

We should ask.

우리가 하나님께 질문해야 될 것은

The question we should ask God is

내가 이 일을 할 수 있는가 안 하는가

Can I do this job or not?

그것이 아니라 내가 능력이 있는가 없는가가 아니라

It's not that; it's about whether I have能力 or not.

내가 금그릇인지 은그릇인지 질그릇인지가 아니라

It's not about whether I am a gold bowl, a silver bowl, or an earthenware bowl.

과연 내가 내 마음을 깨끗하는가

Am I truly cleansing my heart?

내가 주어진 일상의 삶에 충성을 다하는가

Am I being faithful to the life of the daily routine given to me?

특별히 하나님이 내게 이 일을 맡기셨는가가 중요한 것입니다

It is important whether God has particularly entrusted this task to me.

하나님은 우리에게 일만 맡기셨는가가 중요한 것입니다

What is important is whether God has entrusted us with a task of ten thousand.

하나님은 우리에게 일만 맡기지 않습니다.

God does not entrust us with ten thousand tasks.

그 일을 감당할 능력도 주시는 분이십니다.

He is also the one who gives us the ability to handle that task.

어떻게 보면 다윗이 골리아스를 무찌른 것은

In a way, David's defeat of Goliath is...

그가 기름부음 받았을 때 여와의 영이 임했던

When he was anointed, the Spirit of the Lord came upon him.

하나님이 주신 능력으로 골리아스를 넘어뜨린 거라고 말할 수 있습니다.

You can say that it was through the power given by God that he overcame Goliath.

하나님은 우리에게 능력도 주십니다.

God also gives us strength.

그러면 왜 사우랑은 이렇게 하나님의 능력을 받았는데

Then why did Saul receive such power from God?

그는 실패하고 다윗은 하나님의 영을 받아서

He failed, and David received the Spirit of God.

하나님의 마음에 합한 위대한 왕이 되었는가.

Have you become a great king after God's own heart?

그래서 제가 서두에도 얘기했던 것처럼

So, as I mentioned in the beginning,

사우랑은 하나님의 영이 임하여 능력을 받았는데

Saul was anointed with power by the Spirit of God.

그 능력을 가지고 하나님께 영광을 돌리는 게 아니라

Instead of giving glory to God with that ability,

자기에게 영광을 돌렸어요.

I gave glory to myself.

자기가 그 일을 한 것처럼 생각했었습니다.

He thought he had done that work himself.

그래서 사우랑은 전쟁에 이기고 나서

So, after winning the war, Saul...

자기의 승리를 기념하는 기념비를 세웠어요.

A monument was erected to commemorate his victory.

또 그 능력을 주신 하나님을 주목하지 않고

"Also, not paying attention to God who gave that ability."

백성들을 주목하며 사람들의 시선과 평가에

Focusing on the people, on the gazes and evaluations of the masses.

그의 마음을 뺏기게 됐어요.

I ended up capturing his heart.

하나님의 능력을 그가 하나님께 영광 돌리지 않고

God's power without giving glory to God.

교만하여 줘서 자기에게 영광 돌리고

Be proud and give glory to yourself.

사람들에게 신경을 쓰고 하나님께 주목하지 않을 때

When you pay attention to people and not focus on God.

그 능력을 하나님 거두어 가신 거죠.

That ability has been taken away by God.

마치 달란트비에 나오는 것처럼

Like something out of the Parable of the Talents.

달란트 받은 사람이 주인의 뜻을 따르지 않고

The person who received the talent did not follow the master's will.

그것을 땅에 묻어뒀을 때 그 한 달란트를 뺏기는 것처럼

It's like losing that one talent when you buried it in the ground.

결국 하나님의 능력이

In the end, it is God's power.

임했지만 그 능력으로 교만하여 줘서

"I was humble, but I became conceited with that ability."

자기에게 영광을 돌리면 그것은 거두어 가시는 거죠.

If you give glory to yourself, it is taken away from you.

그런 점에서 성대 여러분

In that regard, members of the Seongdae.

우리가 하나님이 능력을 주셔서

God has given us strength.

그 능력으로 내가 어떤 일을 했을 때

When I used that ability to do something.

하나님께 영광을 돌리고 우리는 겸손해야 됩니다.

We should give glory to God and be humble.

겸손한 것이 중요합니다.

It is important to be humble.

When God entrusts us with tasks

하나님이 능력도 주지 않으시겠니?

진짜 중요한 것은

What is truly important is

아무도 우리를 주목하지 않을 때

When no one pays attention to us.

아무도 기억하지 않을 때

When no one remembers.

아무도 우리를 초청하지 않을 때

When no one invites us.

하나님 우리를 초청해 주셨고

God has invited us.

선택해 주셨고

You have chosen.

우리를 주목해 주셨고

You have paid attention to us.

그리고 우리에게 능력을 주셔서

And for giving us the ability.

은혜를 주신다는 것입니다.

It means to give grace.

그래서 어떻게 보면

So, in a way,

사람들이 버린 돌을

A stone discarded by people.

건축자의 머리돌이 되게 하신

You have made me the cornerstone of the builders.

그 하나님께서

That God

우리를 택하여 주신 것입니다.

You have chosen us.

우리를 세워주시는 것입니다.

It is to establish us.

그러면 성도 여러분

Then, dear members of the congregation.

여러분 자신을 사람들의 평가로

Evaluate yourself based on people's opinions.

여러분을 이해하지 마십시오.

Do not understand you all.

여러분이 가지고 있는 배경으로

With the background you have.

외모로 여러분을 이해하지 마십시오.

Do not judge you by your appearance.

하나님으로 여러분을 이해하시고

Understand you as God.

사람들의 시선이 아닌 평가가 아닌

Not the gaze of people, nor the evaluation.

하나님의 시선과 하나님의 마음과

By God's grace, understand you.

여러분을 이해하시고

Understand you all.

여러분의 삶에 찾아오셔서

여러분을 선택하여 능력을 주시는

그 능력이 내 것이 아니라
