Then he said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken!"

그때 제자들이 주님을 못 알아보니까 12제자가 아닙니다

At that time, the disciples did not recognize the Lord, so they are not the twelve disciples.

다른 제자 중에 두 사람입니다

They are two among the other disciples.

그때 주께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를

At that time, the Lord said to them,

오 어리석은 자들아 선지자들이 말한 모든 것을 마음에 더디 믿는 자들아

O foolish ones, you slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken.

그리스도가 이러한 고난을 당하고서 그의 영광에 들어간 것이 당연하지 않느냐고 하시며

"Isn't it natural that Christ should suffer these things and then enter into His glory?"

모세와 모든 선지자들로부터 시작하여

자신에 관하여 모든 성경에 있는 것들을 그들에게 설명하시더라

He explained to them everything in the Scriptures concerning himself.

자 예수님이

Here, Jesus.

구약성정 전체에 걸쳐서 자신의 고난과 죽으심과 부활하심에 대해서 그들에게 설명하십니다

He explains to them about his suffering, death, and resurrection throughout the entire Old Testament.

그러니까 우리가 예수 그리스가 고난을 받고 우리 죄 때문에 죽으시고 부활하신 이 복음을 확실히 알기 위해서는

자신을 믿지 않는 유대인들에게 너희가 성경을 좀 상고해보라

자 그가 그들과 함께 식사로 앉으셨을 때에

빵을 가지고 축복하신 후 떼어 그들에게 주시니

After blessing the bread, He broke it and gave it to them.

주님이 빵을 가지고 축복하고 그들에게 주니까 어떻게 됐습니까.

When the Lord took the bread, blessed it, and gave it to them, what happened?

그때 그들이 그들의 눈이 열려서 주를 알아보자.

At that moment, they recognized the Lord when their eyes were opened.

주께서는 그들의 시야에서 살아지시더라.

The Lord lived in their sight.

눈이 열린 거죠.

The eyes are opened.

What is the eye?

fear라는 건 두려워하라는 거예요. 무서워하라는 거예요. 하나님이 그만큼 사랑하니까 그분이 무서운 거죠. 그렇죠?

이 남녀간에도 말이죠. 정말 사랑하잖아요. 그러면 상대편이 무서운 거예요.

In this relationship between the man and woman, they really love each other. But then, the other person feels scared.

그러니까 말 조심하는 거고 행위 조심하고 그런 거 아닙니까? 무서운 거예요. 하나님을 우리가 두려워해야 돼요.

당장 그 시간에 일어나 예루살렘을 다시 리턴한 거죠. 예루살렘으로 돌아와서 열한 제자들과 그들과 함께 있는 사람들이 다 모여 있는 것을 보자 말하기를 주께서 참으로 살아나셨고 봤으니까 시몬에게도 나타나셨다고 하더라.

알려졌는가를 이야기하더라. 증거하는 거죠. 있는 그대로 얘기하는 거예요. 자 보세요. 36절. 그들이 이 말을 하고 있는데 주님을 증거하죠. 증거하고 있는데 어떻게 주님이 나타나는 거죠.

It talks about whether it is known or not. It's about bearing witness. It speaks as it is. Now, look at verse 36. They are bearing witness to the Lord while saying this. How does the Lord appear while they are giving witness?

예수께서 친히 그들 가운데 서서. 우리가 예수께서 증거할 때 주님이 나타나는 거예요. 이게 결국 주님이 나타나지 않으면 전도가 안 돼요. 간단한 겁니다.

Jesus Himself stood among them. When we testify about Jesus, the Lord appears. In the end, if the Lord does not appear, evangelism does not happen. It’s simple.

그래서 말 잘한다고 주님이 나타나는 게 아닙니다.

So just because you speak well doesn't mean the Lord will appear.

예를 들어서 물론 사형리 가지고도 구원 받는 사람이 있겠지만 ccc에서 만든 사형리 같은 걸 보면 상당히 뭔가 철학적으로 말을 해요. 그러면 그걸 듣고 예수님을 믿겠다고 그럴 수가 있어요. 그런데 모르겠어요. 성경을 얼마나 봤는지 모르겠어요. 그거 사형리라고 해요. 제가 옛날에 봤죠.

이걸 여러분 분명히 알아야 됩니다.

You all definitely need to know this.

제 테이블로 든 사람 중에 어떤 사람이 이 교회에 오려고 그러다가

Someone among the people I invited to my table was trying to come to this church.

시험에 드는 거야. 아 저 목사님은 미래죄까지 용서해 줬다 그래.

It's about taking an exam. Oh, I heard that pastor forgave even future sins.

용서하고 사면을 모르는 거예요.

They do not know forgiveness and pardon.

그렇잖아요. 아까 그 목사 그분도

That's right. That pastor from earlier, too.

그 remission과 forgiveness의 뜻을 모르는 거예요.

I don't know the meaning of remission and forgiveness.

우리가 육신으로 살지만 죄를 지금 어떻게 세워야 될 거 아니에요?

Although we live in the flesh, we still need to figure out how to establish sin, don't we?

이거 자백해야 될 거 아니에요.

You have to confess this.

구원을 잃어버릴까 봐 그러는 게 아니라 구원을 해줬기 때문에 죄송해 가지고 자백하면 어떻게 돼. 그러면 씻어주는 거죠. 씻어줄 뿐만 아니라 우리가 어떤 죄를 자백할 때 죄만 씻어주는 게 아니라 어떻게 모든 불의로부터 극택해 주는 거예요. Unrighteousness. 이게 뭐예요. 그 죄를 짓지 않을 수 있도록 그 불의까지도 씻어준다는 얘기예요.

I'm not worried about losing salvation, but because I received salvation, I feel sorry and wonder what happens if I confess. Then I get cleansed. Not only does it cleanse, but when we confess any sin, it doesn't just wash away the sin but also delivers us from all unrighteousness. What is unrighteousness? It means that it washes away even the unrighteousness so that we won't commit that sin again.

우리가 팔이 부러졌죠. 저도 어릴 때 팔이 부러진 적이 있어요. 자전거 타다가 제주 부리다가 딱 쓰러져 가지고 왼쪽인가 오른쪽인가 뚝 부러졌어요. 한 달을 그냥 그때는 뼈 맞히는 집이야. 그때 정형외과가 어디 있어요. 뼈 맞히는 집에 가서 받고서 한 달 고생했는데 그러니까 이게 옛날보다 더 튼튼해지는 거죠.

I broke my arm. I also broke my arm when I was young. I fell while riding a bike, and either my left or right arm broke. At that time, I had to go to a bone-setting house for a month because there weren't any orthopedic clinics. I suffered for a month there, but then it became even stronger than before.

그게 뭐예요. 우리가 죄를 짓고 회개하면 자백하면 그 죄는 지겨워 안 짓게 된단 말이죠. 그런 겁니다. 그게.

What is that? When we commit a sin and repent, confessing it, that sin becomes tiresome and we don’t commit it again. That’s how it is.

이거를 잘못 얘기하면 사람들이 불안해서 못 살아. 그냥 뭐 부궁이 할 때마다 죄 또 한참 늘어놓는 거예요. 다시 구원받으려고. 이게 잘못된 거. 이게 복음이란 말이죠. 저주받는다. 그런 사람들은 천사라도 저주받는다고 했습니다. 여러분. 그렇죠.

If you talk about this incorrectly, people won't be able to live because they will be anxious. It's just that every time they talk about repentance, they end up piling on more sin to be saved again. This is the problem. This is what the gospel is about. They are cursed. It has been said that such people will be cursed even by angels. Everyone, right?

그렇죠. 너무나 중요합니다. 이거. 죄사함. Remission of sins. Repentance.

That's right. It's very important. This. Forgiveness. Remission of sins. Repentance.

Repentance. 보라 내가 내 아버지께서 약속하신 것을 너희 위에 보내놓으라. 그러나 높은 곳으로부터 능력을 입을 때까지 예루살렘 도성에서 기다리라고 하시니라. 그러니까 이 Remission of sins. Repentance. 이거를 성령을 받아야만 확실해진다 이거죠. 그렇죠. 그러니까 절대 떠나지 말아라. 예루살렘이 있을 때 내가 보호해 줄 거다.

Repentance. Behold, I am sending you what my Father has promised. But stay in the city of Jerusalem until you have been clothed with power from on high. Therefore, this remission of sins, this repentance, can only be confirmed when you receive the Holy Spirit. Right. So do not leave at all. When Jerusalem is there, I will protect you.

주께서 그들을 배단위까지 데리고 올라가시오. 두 손을 들고 그들을 데리고 올라가시오.

Bring them up to Bethany, Lord. Raise them up with both hands.

주께서 그들에게 축복하시더라. 주께서 그들에게 축복하실 때 그들에게서 떠나 하늘로 올라가시오. 올라가시기 전에 직전에 하신 말씀. 물론 사정전 1장 보면 한 40일 동안은 하나님의 왕국에 대해서 가르셨죠. 떠나시기 직전에 하신 말씀이 여기 있는 거예요. 사정전 1장의 말씀하고 조금 차이가 나고 이게 서로 이게 보완이 되죠. 그렇죠. 그렇죠.

The Lord blessed them. When the Lord blessed them, He left them and ascended to heaven. The words He spoke just before He ascended. Of course, if you look at Acts 1, He taught about the kingdom of God for about 40 days. The words He spoke right before He left are found here. There is a slight difference in the words in Acts 1, and they complement each other, right? Right.

그렇죠. 회개와 죄사함. 예수만 믿으면 어떡해. 예수 안 믿는 거 회개하고.

That's right. Repentance and forgiveness of sins. What can we do if we only believe in Jesus? We need to repent for not believing in Jesus.

그래서 제가 구원을 받았을 때 나도 모르게 내가 예수를 왜 안 믿었죠. 너무나 죄송한 거야. 내가 예수 믿지 않았던 것을 그렇게 회개했어. 도덕적인 죄가 아니라 내가 예수를 왜 어떻게 안 믿고 살았어. 이 나쁜 놈아. 나같이 나쁜 놈이 어디 있어. 이 도둑놈아.

So when I was saved, I couldn't help but think, why didn't I believe in Jesus? I felt so sorry. I repented not for moral sins but for not believing in Jesus, for living without faith. What a bad person I am. Is there anyone as bad as me? What a thief I am.

그래서 예수 안 믿은 거. 그래서 내가 거의 한 달 이상을 차 타고 나면서 그렇게 울었어요. 너무 죄송해서.

So, that's why I didn't believe in Jesus. I cried like that for almost a month while driving. I was so sorry.

이걸 유턴이라고 하는 거야. 유턴. 잘못 세상으로 가다 딱 뚫고서 유턴으로 해가지고 다시 돌아가라. 예수께로. 그들이 주께 주를 경비하고 기쁨이 충만하여 예루살렘으로 돌아와 계속 성전에 있으면서 하나님을 찬양하고 송축하더라. 아멘. 이러고 끝납니다. 여러분. 회개와 죄사함 여러분 이제 깨달으셨죠. 그렇죠. 못 깨달은 분은 손 들어보세요. 한 분.

This is what we call a U-turn. U-turn. Go straight through the wrong world and make a U-turn to return. Back to Jesus. They would serve the Lord and, filled with joy, return to Jerusalem, continuing to be in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen. And that's how it ends. Everyone. Repentance and forgiveness of sins, you have now realized, right? If anyone hasn't realized, please raise your hand. One person.

다시 설명할 테니까. 다 깨달았죠. 소리가 없어요. 그런데. 얘가 어디 있어요. 아멘이지. 감사합니다. 아버지 하나님 기도하겠습니다. 감사합니다. 오늘도 누가 복음을 마치면서 회개와 죄사함이 얼마나 은혜로운지 다시 한 번 깨닫게 하신 것을 감사를 드립니다.

I will explain again. I've realized everything. There's no sound. But where is this child? Amen. Thank you. Father God, I will pray. Thank you. As I finish the Gospel of Luke today, I am grateful for being reminded once again of how gracious repentance and forgiveness of sins are.

더 이상 의심하지 말고 다른 복음에 현혹되지 않고.

Do not doubt any longer and do not be tempted by another gospel.

아버지 하나님 이 하나 확실하게 알고 주님께 항상 감사함으로 기뻐하면서 기도하면서 아버지 하나님 주님의 나타나심을 기다리는 올라가심을 본 대로 다시 오시는 주님을 기다리는 이런 삶 속에서 많은 사람들에게 회개와 죄사함을 선포하다가 주님 만날 때 칭찬받는 모두가 되게 하옵소서.

Heavenly Father, may we clearly know this one thing and always rejoice in gratitude while praying, waiting for Your appearance, and anticipating Your return as we have seen Your ascension. In this life, let us proclaim repentance and forgiveness of sins to many people, and may we all be honored when we meet the Lord.
