우리 삶에 어려운 일도 있고 슬픈 날도 있고

There are difficult times and sad days in our lives.

삶에 고난도 있는데 항상 기뻐하라는 이 말씀은

The message that says to always rejoice even when there are sufferings in life

저희가 그대로 받아들이기에는 항상 아멘으로 받아들이기에는

It is always difficult for us to accept it as is with just an amen.

참으로 어려운 말씀입니다.

That is truly a difficult statement.

사실 이 서신서를 쓴 바울의 처지를 생각하면은

In fact, considering the circumstances of Paul who wrote this letter...

이 말씀은 더더욱 이해하기 어려운 말씀입니다.

This statement is even more difficult to understand.

바울은 사람의 생각으로는 절대로 기뻐할 수 없는 상황 가운데 있었죠.

Paul was in a situation where he could absolutely not rejoice according to human thoughts.

이 바울 서신 그 중에서도 옥중서신 로마의 감옥에서 쓰여진 서신으로

This letter of Paul, among others, is a prison epistle written in the Roman prison.

빌립보서가 잘 알려져 있는데요.

Philippians is well known.

바울은 그 로마의 친위대에 시위대에 감금되어 있다 이렇게 빌립보서가 알려줍니다.

Paul is imprisoned in the Roman guard, as Philippians informs us.

그 얘기는 그냥 이렇게 감옥에 혼자 갇혀있는 것이 아니라

It's not just about being locked up in jail alone.

바울은 그 로마의 친위대에 시위대에 감금되어 있다 이렇게 빌립보서가 알려줍니다.

Paul is imprisoned by the Roman guard, as indicated in the Book of Philippians.

그분들과 함께 묶여있는 그런 상황을 이야기합니다.

It talks about a situation that is tied together with them.

제가 그 성지순례를 다녀온 적이 있는데요.

I have been on that pilgrimage.

그 로마의 감옥은 아니지만 제가 빌립보에 있는 빌립보라는 도시에 가서

It's not that Roman prison, but I went to a city called Philippi in Philippi.

그 당시에 있는 감옥의 모습을 한번 보고 왔습니다.

I went to see what the prison looked like at that time.

근데 절대로 기뻐할 수 있는 모습이 아니에요.

But it's definitely not a sight that can make anyone happy.

아주 조그만한 곳에 이렇게 있는데

It's in such a tiny place like this.

그 감옥 가운데서 옥중에서 기뻐한다라는 것은

To rejoice in that prison, in the midst of confinement, means that...

이해할 수 없는 것이죠.

It's something you can't understand.

그런데 감옥 안 상황만 바울에게 우울했던 그런 상황은 아니었습니다.

However, the situation in prison wasn't just a depressing one for Paul.

바울 주변에 있는 공동체 또한 하나를 이루지 못하는 모습을 보여줍니다.

The community around Paul also shows a failure to become one.

그래서 빌립보서 1장을 보면요.

So, when you look at Philippians chapter 1...

바울이 옥 안에서 복음을 담대하게 전하는 것을 보면서

Watching Paul boldly proclaim the gospel while in prison.

복음을 같이 전하는 일들이 일어났습니다. 옥 바깥에서요.

There were occurrences of sharing the gospel together. Outside of prison.

그런데 전하는 부류가 두 부류였습니다.

However, there were two categories of transmitters.

감동을 받아서 전하는 부류가 한 부류였고요.

One group was those who were moved and conveyed their feelings.

그 다음에 다른 한 부류는 바울을 시기하고 질투함으로 복음을 전했다라고

Then there was another group that preached the gospel out of envy and jealousy towards Paul.

이렇게 빌립보서 1장은 이야기해주고 있습니다.

Thus, Philippians chapter 1 is telling us.

공동체가 이제 하나되지 못한 모습이었죠.

The community was now unable to unite as one.

바울은 복음의 전진을 위해서 주님의 교회를 위해서

Paul is for the advancement of the gospel and for the Lord's church.

그의 온 생애를 드린 사람입니다.

He is a person who has dedicated his entire life.

그런데 이 상황에서 바울이 기뻐하기란

However, in this situation, it is difficult for Paul to be happy.

참으로 어려운 상황입니다.

It is indeed a difficult situation.

무엇보다도 판결을 통해서 죽음이 그 앞에 찾아올 수도 있는

Above all, through the judgment, death may come before him.

그런 상황이었습니다.

It was that kind of situation.

그런데 바울은 기쁨을 잃지 않았습니다.

However, Paul did not lose his joy.

오히려 선포하고 있습니다.

Rather, it is proclaiming.

주 안에서 항상 기뻐하라.

Rejoice always in the Lord.

내가 다시 말하노니 기뻐하라.

I say again, rejoice.

이렇게 선포하고 있습니다.

It is being proclaimed like this.

저희가 이 말씀을 볼 때에요.

This is when we see this message.

그래서 붙들어야 하는 두 가지 중요한 점은요.

So, there are two important points that need to be held onto.

중요한 것이 있습니다.

There is something important.

먼저 주 안에서 항상 기뻐하라라는 것입니다.

It means to always rejoice in the Lord first.

그리스도 안에서 항상 기쁨을 찾으라는 그런 뜻이죠.

It means to always find joy in Christ.

빌립보서에는요.

In the book of Philippians.

사실 빌립보서 전체를 붙들고 있는 중심축과 같은 본문이 있습니다.

In fact, there is a main text that holds the entire book of Philippians together.

그게 이제 빌립보서 2장 6절부터 11절의 말씀인데요.

This is the passage from Philippians 2:6-11.

예수님이 자신을 비우시고 우리와 같은 모습으로 오셨을 뿐만 아니라

Not only did Jesus empty Himself and come in the same form as us,

우리와 같은 모습으로 오셨을 뿐만 아니라

He came in the same form as us.

그 당시에 가장 낮은 곳 저주스러운 자리라고 할 수 있는

It can be said to be the lowest place, a cursed seat at that time.

십자가에서 죽음을 당하신 그 복음의 말씀

The message of the gospel that was given through the death on the cross.

그곳에서 우리가 받아야 하는 모든 징벌을 받으심으로 말미암아서

By bearing all the punishments we should receive there.

저희는 죄와 죽음의 저주로부터 자유롭게 된

We have been freed from the curse of sin and death.

그런 복음의 말씀이 빌립보서 2장 6절과 11절에 있습니다.

Such words of the gospel are found in Philippians 2:6 and 11.

그래서 예수님으로 말미암아서 우리는 존귀한 자들로

Therefore, because of Jesus, we are honored beings.

다시 한번 하나님 앞에서부터

Once again before God.

해서 발견되었고요.

So it was discovered.

저희는 부요한 자로 하나님 안에서 다시 한번 발견된 바 되었습니다.

We have been found once again in God as the wealthy.

그래서 복음의 능력은 우리를 그리스도 안에 있는 사람들로 만들었습니다.

Therefore, the power of the gospel has made us people who are in Christ.

바울은 먼저 저희가 상황을 뛰어넘는 기쁨을 누리기 위해서

Paul first wanted them to experience joy that transcends their circumstances.

그리스도 안에서 즐거워하라 기뻐하라 이렇게 말씀하고 있습니다.

Rejoice in Christ and be glad, this is what it says.

그래서 저희는 어려울 때에

So we, in difficult times

어려울 때일수록 그리스도께 시선을 집중해야 합니다.

The more difficult times get, the more we must focus our gaze on Christ.

기쁘기 어려운 순간일수록 그리스도 안에서 나를 바라보고

Even in difficult moments, look to me in Christ.

그리스도 안에 있는 형제와 자매의 모습들을 바라보고

Looking at the appearances of brothers and sisters in Christ.

그리스도 안에 있는 나의 가정의 모습을 바라보고

Looking at the image of my family in Christ.

그리스도 안에 있는 공동체의 모습을 믿음으로 바라봐야 합니다.

We must view the community within Christ through faith.

거기에 기쁨의 비밀이 있는 것이죠.

That's where the secret of joy lies.

In Christ.

In Christ.

기쁨을 잃지 않는 삶을 위해서 붙들어야 하는 첫 번째입니다.

The first thing you must hold onto for a life that doesn't lose joy.

두 번째 기쁨을 잃지 않기 위해서 저희가 기억해야 하는 것은요.

What we need to remember in order not to lose our second joy is…

기쁨과 슬픔이 공존할 수 있다는 사실입니다.

It is the fact that joy and sorrow can coexist.

항상 기뻐하라는 말씀은요.

The saying to always be joyful.

매일 이렇게 웃고 있으라는 이야기는 아닙니다.

It's not that you should smile like this every day.

기쁨과 슬픔은 상반된 감정같이 느껴짐에도 불구하고

Although joy and sorrow may feel like opposing emotions

공존할 수 있습니다.

They can coexist.

성경에서도 이 슬픔과 기쁨이 공존하는 본문들을 저희가 볼 수 있게 되는데요.

In the Bible, we can see passages where this sadness and joy coexist.

그것을 가장 많이 볼 수 있는 본문이 바로 시편의 말씀들입니다.

The text where you can see it the most is the words of the Psalms.

시편의 말씀들.

Words of the Psalms.

그래서 시편의 많은 시편 기자들이 슬픔 가운데 고통 가운데 고난 가운데 있는 것을 보게 됩니다.

So we see that many of the psalmists in the Book of Psalms are in sorrow, suffering, and affliction.

그래서 이들이 하나님께 탄원해요.

So they plead to God.

원수를 물리쳐달라고.

Please defeat my enemies.

악인들을 가만두시지 말라고.

Do not let the wicked be at ease.

이렇게 탄원합니다.

I appeal like this.

슬픔에 빠져서 탄원합니다.

I am pleading in deep sorrow.

그런데 시편을 보면은 상황이 역전되지 않는 경우가 굉장히 많습니다.

However, when you look at the Psalms, there are many cases where the situation does not turn around.

상황에 변화가 없어요.

There is no change in the situation.

그런데도 불구하고 그 치륵같은 슬픔과 어둠 속에서

Nevertheless, amidst that pitch-black sorrow and darkness

기쁨이 솟아나옵니다.

Joy rises up.

그게 시편에서 저희가 계속해서 발견하는 것이죠.

That's what we keep discovering in the Psalms.

기쁨에 대해서 이런 얘기를 했는데

제가 좀 하드 트랜슬레이션 한 것을 읽어드리겠습니다.

기쁨과 슬픔은 공존할 수 있습니다.

Joy and sorrow can coexist.

기쁨의 반대말은 슬픔이 아닙니다.

The opposite of joy is not sadness.

기쁨의 반대말은 소망이 없는 것입니다.

The opposite of joy is having no hope.

아무리 어려운 상황이고 슬픈 상황 가운데 있더라도

Even in the midst of difficult and sad situations,

소망이 있다면 우리 삶의 쉼이 찾아오고 평화가 찾아오고

If there is a wish, may the rest of our lives come and peace come.

그 가운데 기쁨은 솟아날 수 있습니다.

Amidst that, joy can arise.

소망이 있다면 기쁠 수 있습니다.

If there is a hope, one can be happy.

아무리 어려워도 아무리 아파도

No matter how difficult it is, no matter how much it hurts.

이 길의 끝에 빛이 있는 것을 알면

If you know that there is a light at the end of this road

소망을 붙들고 기뻐할 수 있습니다.

You can hold onto hope and rejoice.

라고 이렇게 이야기를 하셨습니다.

He said it like this.

그래서 저희는 주님 안에

So we are in the Lord.

소망을 봐야 됩니다.

You have to look at the hope.

예수님의 십자가와 부하를 통해서 보는 소망

The hope seen through Jesus' cross and resurrection.

그리스도의 손에 붙들린 주님의 교회가 가지고 있는 소망

The hope possessed by the Lord's Church, held in the hands of Christ.

저희에게 앞으로 올 새하늘과 새 땅을 향한 소망

Our hope for the new heavens and the new earth to come.

흔들리지 않는 소망 없어지지 않는 소망

A hope that does not waver, a hope that does not disappear.

어느 누구도 빼앗을 수 없는 소망

A desire that no one can take away.

그 리빙호프가 그리스도의 소망입니다.

That living hope is the hope of Christ.

그리스도 안에 있는 저희들에게 있는 것입니다.

It is for us who are in Christ.

그래서 이 소망을 붙드는 믿음을 가질 때

So when we have faith that holds on to this hope

기쁨을 잃지 않는 그리스도인이 되는 것이죠.

It means becoming a Christian who does not lose joy.

기뻐하라.

Rejoice.

다시 한번 너에게 말하노니 기뻐하라.

I say to you again, rejoice.

저희에게는 없어지지 않는 소망이 있고요.

We have an unvanishing hope.

저희의 삶을 주님께서 붙들고 계십니다.

The Lord holds our lives.

믿으십니까?

저희의 공동체를 주님께서 붙들고 계십니다.

The Lord is holding onto our community.

어려움이 있음에도

Despite the difficulties.

그리스도 안에 있는 소망으로 기뻐하십시오.

Rejoice in the hope that is in Christ.

주님 안에서 발견하는 소망은 결코 꺾이지 않는 것입니다.

The hope found in the Lord is never extinguished.

그래서 이렇듯 그리스도 안에서

So, in this way, in Christ

저희가 기쁨을 누리면서 살아가야 되는데요.

We should live while enjoying joy.

오늘 말씀에는 저희가 이 소망을

그리스도 안에 있는 소망을 붙들게 하지 못하는

Unable to hold on to the hope found in Christ.

굉장한 방해꾼이 등장을 합니다.

An incredible interrupter appears.

4장 6절을 보면요.

아무것도 염려하지 말고 라고 이렇게 말씀합니다.

"Don't worry about anything," he says like this.

염려라는 엄청난 방해꾼이 등장을 하는 것이죠.

A tremendous obstacle called worry comes into play.

염려는 저희가 소망을 붙들게 하지 못하는 가장 뛰어난 방해꾼입니다.

Worry is the most significant hindrance that prevents us from holding onto hope.

사실 염려는 아무것도 바꾸지 못하는 무익한 것임에도 불구하고

In fact, worry is an unproductive thing that cannot change anything.

저희는 항상 염려와 살고 있죠.

We always live with worries.

염려는 완전히 떼어낼 수 없는 어찌 보면

In a way, worry is something that cannot be completely removed.

저희 삶의 일부와 같은 것입니다.

It is like a part of our lives.

염려의 사전적 의미를 보면요.

If you look at the dictionary definition of worry.

여러 가지로 헤아려서 걱정하는 것.

Worrying about various things.

이렇게 사전적 의미가 나와 있는데요.

It shows the dictionary meaning like this.

염려라는 단어는 마음이 난이다.

The word "worry" means that the heart is troubled.

생각이 난이다 라는 말의 그 어원이 있습니다.

There is an origin to the phrase "I remember."

그래서 인생을 살아가면서 누구나 다 염려와 씨름하며 살기에

So, as we go through life, everyone wrestles with worries.

대수롭지 않게 염려를 여길 수 있지만

You might consider it a trivial concern, but...

저희가 염려의 문제를 참 잘 다루어야 하죠.

We need to handle the issue of concerns very well.

왜 저희가 염려되는 이유는요.

The reason we are concerned is...

왜 염려되는 이유는요.

여러 가지 생각하면서 복잡하게 염려하면

If you think various things and worry complicatedly,

하루 종일 누워있어도 피곤하잖아요.

염려는 저희의 에너지를 소진시킬 뿐만 아니라

Worry not only drains our energy but also

저희의 속사람을 태워버리는 그런 능력이 있습니다.

It has the ability to burn away our inner selves.

굉장한 능력이 있는 것이 염려이죠.

It’s a concern that there is such amazing ability.

그래서 염려가 이렇게 안 좋은 거니까

So that's why worry is so bad.

염려하지 말자 라고 다짐하고

I vow to not worry.

야 염려하지마 우리 이런 얘기도 하잖아요.

Hey, don't worry. We talk about things like this too.

그렇게 해서 될 수 있는

That can work out that way.

있는 거라면

If it's something that exists

이게 문제도 안되겠죠.

This won't be a problem, right?

하지만 염려를

But worry...

떨쳐내는 것은 참 어려운 일입니다.

마치 파도가 새로운

그런 일이라고 할 수 있습니다.

염려 대신 하나님께

Instead of worry, to God.

우리들의 마음을 향하고

Towards our hearts

그분께 필요한 것을 아래라는

What that person needs is below.

요청입니다.

This is a request.

염려라는 바이러스를

The virus called worry

치료하는 백신은

The vaccine that treats

기도이다.

It is a prayer.

6절이 저희에게 알려주고 있는

What verse 6 informs us is

것입니다.

It is.

그래서 기도는 우리의 어려움을

So prayer is our way of dealing with difficulties.

하나님께 올려드리는 것입니다.

It is something offered up to God.

기도는 내가

Prayer is I.

감당할 수 없는 짐을

An unbearable burden.

주님께 드리는

To be offered to the Lord.

것입니다.

It is.

기도는 내 안에 쌓여있는 염려를

Prayer is the concern that is piling up inside me.

주님께 드리는 시간입니다.

This is time dedicated to the Lord.

기도는 불안전한

Prayer is imperfect.

상황 가운데서

In the midst of the situation

완전하신 주님을

To the perfect Lord.

바라보는 시간입니다.

It is time to look.

기도는 도저히 불가능할 것

It seems completely impossible to pray.

같은 상황에서 모든 것을

Everything in the same situation.

가능케 하시는

Enabling

전능하신 하나님을 바라보는

Looking unto the Almighty God.

시간입니다.

It's time.

하나님은 저희가

God is with us.

염려 대신에 기도하기를 원하십니다.

You want to pray instead of worrying.

염려보다

More than worry.

기도를 통해 주님을 신뢰하기를

To trust the Lord through prayer.

원하십니다.

You want.

그래서 염려를 주님께 드리는

So, I give my concerns to the Lord.

기도는 큰 축복입니다.

Prayer is a great blessing.

그 이유는

The reason is

저희가 단순히 염려를 드리는

We are simply expressing our concern.

것이 아니라요. 그 가운데

It's not that. Among those.

하나님의 임재를

The presence of God

체험하기 때문입니다.

It is because of the experience.

그래서 많은 분들이

So many people

삶의 큰 염려와 근심을

Great worries and concerns of life.

가운데 눌려서

Pressed in the middle

기도의 자리에 나오시게 되지만

They come to the place of prayer.

포기하지 않고

Without giving up

기도하시는 분들은

Those who pray

그 가운데서

Among them

하나님의 임재를 경험하면서

Experiencing the presence of God

큰 축복의 시간을 경험하게 되는

You will experience a time of great blessing.

천국을 경험하는

Experiencing heaven

축복을 경험하게 되는

기도는 염려를 비워내는

Prayer empties worry.

시간인 동시에 하나님의

평강이 저희에게 채워지는

간구하라고 그래놓고서는

You told me to ask, but...

너희가 기도한 대로 들어주리라는

I will grant you as you have prayed.

말씀이 없어요.

There are no words.

그런 약속이 없어요.

There is no such promise.

이 구절에는요.

We are working hard.

기도했지만 저희의 바람대로

We prayed, but not as we wished.

되지 않을 때가 있습니다.

There are times when it doesn't work out.

오늘 말씀은 기도의

일이 일어날 것이며

Things will happen.

이것이라는

말씀 대신에 하나님의

무엇일까 이것을 생각했을 때요.

What could this be when I thought about it?

저는 이렇게 한 설교를 듣다가

Such illustrations

잊지 못하는데요. 하나님의 평강을

I can't forget. The peace of God.

크고 깊은

Big and deep.

호수로 딱 비유를 하시더라고요.

You likened it perfectly to a lake.

근데 그게 참 맞는 것 같습니다.

But I think that's really true.

왜

Why?

저희 삶에 바람과 풍랑은

Winds and storms are part of our lives.

피할 수가 없잖아요.

I can't avoid it.

어떤 어려움이 올지 알 수 없습니다.

We cannot know what difficulties will arise.

강한 바람은

The strong wind is

아주 오래된 거목도

An very old tree.

쓰러트릴 수 있죠.

I can knock you down.

그런데요. 넓고 깊은

Well then. Wide and deep.

호수의 물은 다릅니다.

The water of the lake is different.

잠시 바람에 따라서

For a moment, according to the wind.

요동칠 수 있지만요.

It can shake.

깊고 큰 호수는

A deep and large lake

이내 그 모습을 되찾습니다.

Soon, it will regain that appearance.

그래서

저희 삶에 저희의 마음을

Our hearts in our lives.

흔들고 저희의

Shake and our

마음을 뒤집어 놓을 것만 같은

It feels like it will turn my heart upside down.

일들이 일어날 수 있지만

Things can happen, but

하나님의 평강이

The peace of God

임하면

If you do it.

그 큰 호수가

That big lake.

우리의 마음 가운데 임하게 되면

When He comes within our hearts.

이내 우리의 마음에는

Soon, in our hearts

그 잔잔한

That calm

그 호수가 펼쳐진다는

That lake spreads out.

그런 이야기입니다.

그래서 이 호수와 같은

하나님의 평강으로 채워지는

Filled with God's peace.

시간이 기도의

Time is a prayer.

시간입니다.

It’s time.

저희에게는

We have

이 평강이

This peace is

필요합니다.

I need it.

이 평강이 필요합니다.

I need this peace.

염려는 여러가지를

Concerns are many things.

생각하고 걱정하게 만든다면요.

If it makes you think and worry.

기도를 통해

Through prayer

경험하는 하나님의

Experiencing God

평강은 우리의

Peace is ours.

마음을 하나님 안에서

In the heart of God.

하나로 모아줍니다.

It brings everything together as one.

기도를 통해서 우리가

Through prayer, we...

기도한 모든 일들이 다 일어나게

May all the things I prayed for come true.

되지는 않지만

It won't happen, but...

평강을 경험하는 기도를

A prayer for experiencing peace.

통해서 우리의 삶의

through our lives

기적은 시작됩니다.

A miracle begins.

기도를

통해 하나님의 평강을 경험하며

Experience God's peace through

나의 생각에서 염려가 떠나가기

Worries leave my thoughts.

시작하는 것은

Starting is

이미 기도의 응답이 시작되고 있는

The answer to the prayer has already begun.

것이다.

It will be.

그래서 염려 가운데 기도하실 때

So when you pray amidst your worries

아무 상황이 바뀌지 않더라도

Even if the situation doesn't change at all

아무 변화가 없더라도

Even if there are no changes.

하나님께서 내 마음 가운데

God is within my heart.

약속 주시고 확신 주시고

You give promises and reassurance.

말씀 주시고 은혜 주셔서

Thank you for your words and grace.

내 마음 가운데 평안히 임하기

Come peacefully into my heart.

시작하면 평강이 임하는

When you begin, peace comes.

그 순간이 기도의 응답의

In that moment, the response to the prayer.

시작이다.

It's the beginning.

라는 것입니다.

It means.

그래서 기도의 자리마다

So at every place of prayer

하나님의 평강을

God's peace

경험하시는 한 분 한 분 되시기를

May each and every one of you have an experience.

바랍니다.

In a way, they are small miracles.

감사할 때

When giving thanks

하나님께서 일하시는 손길을 보는 거예요.

You are witnessing the hand of God at work.

감사할 때

When to be thankful

그렇게 어두워져 있었지만

It was that dark, but...

하나님께서 내 삶을

God is in my life.

신실하게 붙들고 계시다라는 것을

To hold on faithfully.

보기 시작하는 것입니다.

It is to start seeing.

하지만

But

여기서 하나님의 은혜는 더 나갔잖아요.

The grace of God has gone beyond here.

사실은요.

The fact is.

저희를 구원하신 은혜

The grace that has saved us.

하나밖에 없는 독생자를 주신 은혜

The grace of giving us the one and only begotten Son.

오늘도 나를

하나님의 자녀라고 불러주시는

그 은혜

우리를 위해서 영원한 하나님의 나라를

For us, the eternal kingdom of God.

준비하신 그 은혜

The grace you have prepared.

이 은혜들을 생각하면

이것은 작은 기적이 아니죠.

This is not a small miracle.

매일매일 우리가 누려야 되는

What we need to enjoy every day.

그 기적의 감동은

The emotion of that miracle is

큰 것이죠.

저희는 감사의 조건이

Our condition of gratitude is

참 많은 사람들입니다.

There are quite a few people.

저희가 삶의 어려움과

The difficulties of life and

막다뜨려 있다면요.

If you're stuck.

저희는 가끔씩 한 번의

대역전을 꿈꾸는 경우들이

Cases dreaming of a comeback.

There are many.

하지만

저희가 가장 먼저 시작해야 되는 것은

감사의 고백을 드릴 때부터

시작된다라는 거예요.

It means "It begins."

그래서 그 호수와 같은

So like that lake

평강을 누리는 기도

A prayer for experiencing peace.

감사에서부터 시작된다라는

It starts with gratitude.

것을 생각하게 됩니다.

It makes me think about it.

그래서 공동체는

So the community is

어려울 때일수록

The more difficult the time is.

함께 감사의 기도를

A prayer of gratitude together.

드려야 됩니다.

It must be given.

아멘이십니까?

그래서 가장 어려운 상황 가운데서도

So even in the most difficult situations

감사할 수 있는 사람이

A person who can be grateful.

진짜 영적 리더입니다.

He is a true spiritual leader.

그 상황에서도

염려할 상황 가운데서

In a situation to be concerned about

형제자매를 감사의 기도의 자리로

Turning siblings into a place of grateful prayer.

이끄는 사람을 통해서

Through the person who leads.

공동체는 활력을 다시 찾습니다.

The community regains its vitality.

주님께 시선을 고정하며

Keeping my gaze fixed on the Lord.

저희가 감사하며 기도하기를 소망합니다.

We hope to be thankful and pray.

이 놀라운 능력을 가진 기도가

This prayer with amazing power.

공동체 전체에

To the entire community

하나님의 평강을

The peace of God.

인내를 넘어서

Beyond patience

서로의 부족한 부분을

채워주는

섬김과 은혜가 필요합니다.

이런 일들을 하라고 하는데

They are telling me to do things like this.

설교에서도

개혁적이고

날카로운 메시지를 전하는 것에

아주 큰 의미를

이거는 교회가 아니다.

결론이었습니다.

That was the conclusion.

어찌 보면

In a way

안 모이는 것이 하나님의 영광을 위해서

Not gathering is for the glory of God.

낫지 않을까?

Wouldn't it be better?

이런 생각이 들 정도로 완전히

Completely to the extent that such thoughts arise.

예배가 예배가 아니에요.

Worship is not worship.

예배하는데

In worship.

옆에 창문 밖에 보면

If you look out the window next to you,

담배 피우고 계시고

You are smoking a cigarette.

아이들은 예배실 안에서 오줌싸고

The children are urinating inside the worship room.

어른들은

Adults

헌금 바구니에 손 넣어가지고

Put your hand in the offering basket.

돈 꺼내 가시고

Take out the money.

너무 절망적인 거예요.

It's too hopeless.

그래서 참 처음에 가서

So, when I first went there...

기도를 많이 했습니다.

I prayed a lot.

왜냐하면 너무 부패한 나라에서

Because it's a very corrupt country.

살고 있으니까 사람들이

Because I am alive, people...

그거에 대해서 이제 놈이 된 거예요.

It's now become a thing about that.

완전히 감각을 잃어버린 거죠.

You've completely lost your senses.

그래서

So.

이게 어떻게 돼야 되는 것인가?

How is this supposed to be?

그래서 그분들과 함께

So with those people.

삶을 하면서 기도하면서

Living while praying.

비판해야 될 일이

Things that need to be criticized.

너무 많더라고요.

There were too many.

하루에 다 비판할 수도 없어요.

You can't criticize everything in a day.

그러면서 이제 하나님의

And now God's

교회를 품고 많이 기도하게

Embrace the church and pray a lot.

됐습니다.

It's done.

그런데 하나님께서 주시는

But what God gives

마음은 뭐냐면요.

What I mean by my heart is this.

하나님께서

God

사랑하는 교회라는 거예요.

It means "It is a church that loves."

내가 이들을 사랑하고

I love them.

내가 이들을 위해서

For them.

내 독생자의 생명을 줬다.

I gave the life of my only son.

내가 이들을

I am these.

변화시키기를 원한다.

I want to change.

이런 말씀을 주셨습니다.

You have given such words.

그래서 비판은

So the criticism is

필요할 때가 있지만

There are times when it's needed.

공동체를 결정적으로 변화시키는

Decisively changing the community.

힘은 아니라는 것을 깨달았습니다.

I realized that it is not strength.

그래서 저에게로 회개하게 하셨습니다.

So He made me repent.

하나님은 저에게

God has given me

부족한 것을 채우는

Filling in what is lacking.

대안이 되는

An alternative.

삶으로

By life

저를 부르셨다라는 것을

That you called me.

그곳에서

From there

아주 깊게

Very deeply

깨닫게 되었습니다.

I have come to realize.

예수님의 삶을

The life of Jesus.

한번 생각해 보십시오.

Think about it for a moment.

예수님의 삶은요.

The life of Jesus.

이 땅의 대안이 되는

Becoming an alternative for this land.

삶이었습니다.

It was life.

도저히 메울 수 없는

An unfillable void.

의인 한 명을 찾을 수 없는

Unable to find a single righteous person.

그곳에서

From there

의인으로 오셔서

Come as a righteous person

이 땅의 대안이 되셔서

Becoming an alternative for this land.

그곳에서

Over there

그분의 생명을 주시고

Giving His life

그분의 삶을 주시고

Granting his life.

눈물을 주시고

Give me tears.

그분의 피를 주셔서

Because of His blood.

그분의 교회를

His church

주님께서는 세우셨습니다.

The Lord has established.

예수님께서는

Jesus Christ

자신의 유익을 구하지 않으시고

Not seeking his own benefit.

자신의 생명을

one's life

저희에게 주신 것처럼

Like you gave us.

우리가 나만의 유익을 구하지 않고

We seek not our own benefit.

나만의 오름을 주장하지 않고

Without asserting my own ascent.

관용하며

Be tolerant.

서로 부족한 부분을

Each other's shortcomings.

채워주며

Filling it up.

참으로 소중한 것입니다.

It is truly precious.

그것은 공동체를 세우는 힘입니다.

It is the power to build a community.

은혜는

Grace is

공동체를 세우는 방법이에요.

It's a way to build a community.

이런 공동체적 삶을 사는 사람은요.

People who live this kind of communal life.

이미 염려가 많이 줄어있습니다.

The concern has already decreased significantly.

그래서 저는 이게 5절에

So I have this in verse 5.

이 말씀이 끼어있다고 생각해요.

I think this statement is included.

나 중심을 사는 것이 아니라

I don't live for myself.

다른 사람의 피로를 보고

Seeing other people's fatigue.

예수 그리스도의 마음을 찾으면서

In search of the heart of Jesus Christ.

이 땅 가운데 필요한 사람들이

People who are needed in this land.

누가 있는가

Who is there?

이 땅 가운데 소외된 이웃들이 누가 있는가

Who are the neglected neighbors among us in this land?

내 형제자매들 가운데 울고 있는 사람들이

People among my siblings who are crying.

누가 있는가

Who is there?

그들을 찾아가면서 살 때

When living while searching for them.

이미 염려의 많은 부분은

Much of the concern has already been.

떠나가게 되는 것이죠.

It means you will be leaving.

그리고 그 사람들이

And those people

하나님을 만나면서

Meeting God

복음으로 변화되면서

Being transformed by the gospel

그 삶이 변하고

That life changes.

그 가정이 변하고

That household is changing.

그 도움이 되면서

While that helps.

그 도시가 변하고

That city is changing.

그 공동체가 변하는 것을 볼 때

When you see that community changing.

기쁨이 없을 수가 있겠습니까?

Could there be no joy?

새 생명이 도단하는데

A new life is sprouting.

그곳에 기쁨이 없을 수가 있겠습니까?

Could there be no joy there?

복음이 역사하는 것을 보는데

Seeing the gospel at work

그곳에 기쁨이 없을 수가 있겠습니까?

Could there possibly be no joy there?

그래서 그 삶을 산 바울이

So, Paul, who lived that life

얘기하는 것입니다.

It's about talking.

기뻐하고 기뻐하라.

Rejoice and be glad.

말씀 마치겠습니다.

I will finish my speech.

염려에 붙들리지 않는 삶

A life unbound by worries.

기도로부터 시작됩니다.

It begins with prayer.

나의 염려를 주님께 드리고

I give my worries to the Lord.

주님의 평강을 경험하는

Experiencing the Lord's peace.

복된 여러분들이시기를 추구합니다.

I wish that you all be blessed.

삶에서 작은 기적을 베푸시는 기적을

A miracle that bestows small miracles in life.

그것을 보는 일은

Seeing that is

감사를 통해서 가능합니다.

It is possible through gratitude.

저희의 기도 가운데

Among our prayers

감사의 기도가 다시 한번 터지는

A prayer of gratitude arises once again.

저희 복된 저희들이 되기를 기도합니다.

I pray that we become blessed.

마지막으로 관용하는 마음으로

Lastly, with a heart of forgiveness.

부족한 곳을 메우는 삶을 사십시오.

Live a life that fills the gaps.

은혜를 베푸는 삶을 사십시오.

Live a life that bestows grace.

이 삶의 모습을 통해서

Through the appearance of this life.

주님이 주신 기쁨을 빼앗기지 아니하며

Not letting go of the joy the Lord has given.

기뻐하고 또 기뻐하는 삶을 사는

Living a life full of joy and delight.
