09/15/2024 – 은혜가 생명입니다 (강규욱 목사)

얼마 전에 제가 기독교신문에 난 기사를 보니까 요즘에 대부분의 기도원이나 수양관 이런 곳이 운영이 어렵다고 그래요.

I saw an article in a Christian newspaper not long ago that said most prayer houses and retreat centers are having a hard time operating these days.

영적인 관심이 별로 없어진다는 것이죠. 한국에서도 마찬가지고요.

It means that there is little spiritual interest. It's the same in Korea as well.

그래서 그 원인을 따져보니까 들어보니까 일단은 기도원이나 수양관 이런 곳에서 굉장히 너무나 기복적인 신앙 위주의 운영을 하는 것

So, when we looked into the cause, it turns out that places like prayer houses or retreat centers operate in a very overly prosperity-driven faith manner.

그리고 또 한 가지는 이 말씀을 통해서 영적인 갈증을 채우는 그런 신학이 그곳에는 없다는 것이죠.

And another thing is that there is no theology in that place that satisfies spiritual thirst through this word.

그런 것들 때문에 그렇고 또 세대가 사람들의 영적인 갈증을 대부분 느끼지 못한다는 것입니다.

It is because of such things, and also because the generation mostly does not feel the spiritual thirst of people.

왜냐하면 그것을 대체할 만한 다른 것들이 너무나 많다는 것이죠.

Because there are so many other things that can replace it.

유튜브, TV, 음식, 또 좋은 것들 이런 것들이 많이 생기다 보니까 많은 것들로 대체가 된다는 것이죠.

As YouTube, TV, food, and other good things have become more abundant, many things can be replaced.

그런데 정말 중요한 것은요. 그 대체제들은 우리의 영적인 갈증을 일시적으로는 템포러리로 풀어줄 수는 있을지는 모르지만

However, what's really important is that those substitutes may temporarily satisfy our spiritual thirst.

우리의 구원은 절대로 줄 수 없다는 것입니다.

Our salvation can never be given.

우리의 영원한 갈증, 그것을 해결해 줄 수 없다는 것이죠.

Our eternal thirst, the fact that it cannot be resolved.

그래서 제가 한국에서도 여러 가지 그런 현상들을 보게 돼요.

So I see various phenomena like that in Korea as well.

전에는 영적인 갈증, 또 갈급함 때문에 굉장히 많은 것들을 찾아다니고

In the past, due to spiritual thirst and yearning, I searched for many things.

또 기도원에 가면 가득 찬 사람들이 있었고

When I went to the prayer house, there were many people gathered there.

그들이 가득 찬 사람들이 있었고

There were people who were filled.

뜨겁게 기도하고 그런 모습들을 자주 볼 수 있었습니다.

I often saw you praying fervently in such ways.

특별히 여름 같은 경우에 가면 가득 찬 그런 기도원의 모습을 볼 수 있었습니다.

Especially in the summer, one could see a prayer house filled with people.

그런데 지금은 그렇지 않습니다.

But that's not the case right now.

특별히 청년의 모습을 찾아볼 수가 없어요.

I can't particularly find any signs of youth.

그렇지만 그들 안에 영적인 갈증이 없을까요?

But do they not have a spiritual thirst within them?

분명히 있습니다.

There is definitely.

제가 여러분에게도 드리고 싶은 말씀이 바로 그런 것입니다.

What I want to say to you is exactly that.

우리가 지금 이렇게 살아가지만

Even though we are living like this right now

우리 안에 영적인 갈증이 과연 있는지 없는지 알지 못하고 살 때도 많다는 것입니다.

There are many times when we live without knowing whether there is a spiritual thirst within us or not.

그러나 영적인 갈증은 우리가 반드시 느껴야 되는 것이고요.

However, the spiritual thirst is something we must definitely feel.

그것을 느낄 때 우리는 비로소 은혜의 자리로 들어갈 수 있다는 것이죠.

Only when we feel that can we finally enter the place of grace.

그 은혜의 자리로 우리가 들어가야 하는데

We must enter into that place of grace.

그 은혜는 우리가 영적인 갈증을 느끼고 있는 것입니다.

That grace is that we are feeling a spiritual thirst.

그 은혜는 어떤 것인가라는 것을 우리가 한번 생각해 보면서

Let us take a moment to think about what that grace is.

나누었으면 좋겠다라는 생각이 들었습니다.

I thought it would be nice to share.

제가 그런 생각을 하면서

While I was having such thoughts

그러면 이제 은혜를 나눠야 되겠다.

Then we should share grace.

은혜가 무엇인가에 대해서 한번 나눠야 되겠다라고 결정하고 나서

I decided that we need to talk about what grace is.

나중에 보니까 이 교회 이름이 은혜장로교회더라고요.

Later, I saw that the name of this church is Grace Presbyterian Church.

그렇게 두네요 제가.

I leave it like that.

그런 것도 생각도 못하고.

I never even thought of such a thing.

그랬다가 정말 은혜장로교회에서 제가 은혜를

Then I truly received grace at Grace Presbyterian Church.

이렇게 은혜에 대해서 함께 여러분과 함께 생각하게 된 것이

Thinking about grace together with you like this has been。

정말 하나님의 은혜라고 믿습니다.

I truly believe it is God's grace.

존버년이 쓴 천러역정이라는 책에 보면 이런 이야기가 나옵니다.

In the book "The Pilgrim's Progress" written by the author of "John Bunyan," there is a story like this.

이 주인공 크리스찬이 한 번은 어떤 방에 들어갔는데요.

The main character, Christian, once entered a certain room.

그 방에 들어가서 보니까 먼지가 한 30cm 정도 이렇게 두껍게 쌓여있는 거예요.

When I entered the room, I saw that dust had piled up about 30 cm thick.

그런데 한 소녀가 들어와서 빗자루로 먼지를 막 치웁니다.

However, a girl comes in and starts sweeping away the dust with a broom.

바닥이 깨끗해졌어요.

The floor has become clean.

그런데 먼지를 깨끗이 치우니까 먼지가 바닥은 깨끗해졌지만

However, when I cleaned the dust thoroughly, the floor became clean, but...

나중에 어떻게 됩니까?

What happens later?

먼지가 다시 내려앉게 되죠.

The dust settles down again.

똑같은 상황이래요.

It's the same situation.

그래서 이 크리스찬이 안내자에게 묻습니다.

So this Christian asks the guide.

이 방은 무슨 방입니까?

What kind of room is this?

그랬더니 그 안내자가 이 방은 율법이라는 방입니다라고 얘기합니다.

Then the guide said, "This room is the room of the law."

다음 방으로 들어갔더니 거기도 똑같이 그렇게 먼지가 두껍게 쌓여있었어요.

When I entered the next room, there was also a thick layer of dust accumulated there just like that.

그런데 이번에는 한 소녀가 들어오더니 물로 그 두꺼운 먼지들을 깨끗이 씻어냅니다.

However, this time a girl came in and washed away the thick dust with water.

그러니까 이제

So now...

먼지가 깨끗이 씻어졌어요.

The dust has been thoroughly washed away.

다시는 먼지가 쌓이지 않습니다.

Dust will not accumulate again.

그래서 이 방이 어떤 방입니까?

So, what kind of room is this?

이 방은 무엇입니까? 라고 물으니까

"What is this room?" I asked.

이 방은 은혜의 방입니다.

This room is Grace's room.

라고 대답했다는 것입니다.

It means that he/she answered like that.

여러분 율법과 은혜는 바로 그런 것이죠.

Everyone, that's exactly what the law and grace are.

율법으로는 절대 우리가 구원받지 못하고요.

We cannot be saved by the law at all.

율법으로는 절대 우리가 일시적인 그런 깨끗함을 얻을 수 있지요.

Through the law, we can absolutely attain a temporary kind of cleanliness.

우리는 죄인이기 때문에 다시금 죄를 짓게 되는 그런 일들이 우리 가운데 있게 되는 것이죠.

Because we are sinners, it is inevitable that we commit sins again among us.

은혜로만 우리는 주님 앞에 나아갈 수 있다는 것입니다.

It is only by grace that we can come before the Lord.

그것을 믿는 저와 여러분 되시길 바라고요.

I hope that you and I can believe in that.

그래서 오늘 본문을 우리가 보시면요.

So if we look at today's text.

오늘 본문도 은혜를 물로 표현하고 있어요.

Today's text also expresses grace in the form of water.

물로 표현하고 있는데 본문에 보시면 성전 문지방 밑에서 샘처럼 물이 이렇게 나오기 시작합니다.

It is expressed as water, and in the text, you can see that water starts coming out like a spring from underneath the threshold of the temple.

그리고 그 물을 따서는요.

And then, you pour that water.

따라갈수록 그 물이 점점 많아지죠.

The more you follow it, the more water there is.

그래서 발목에 겨우 찼고 처음에는 그 다음엔 무릎으로 그 다음엔 허리

So it barely hit the ankle at first, then the knee, and then the waist.

마지막에는 헤엄칠 정도로 그렇게 가득 차 넘쳤다라고 그렇게 이야기하고 있습니다.

In the end, they say it was so full that it overflowed to the point of being able to swim in it.

그리고 그 후로는 그 물이 흘러서 동서남북에 온 지면을 적시고

And after that, the water flows and moistens the ground in all directions: east, west, south, and north.

그리고 그곳에서 생명이 소생하면서 실과가 맺히고

And there, as life revives, threads are entwined.

그것이 또 약재료가 되는 그런 말씀을 오늘 본문으로

That is what becomes a medicinal ingredient, and that is the main point of today's text.

우리가 보고 있게 되는데요.

We are starting to see it.

저는 오늘 이 예배를 통해서 성도님들께서

Through this service today, I hope that the congregation will...

좀 더 하나님의 은혜를 사모하는 그런 성도들이 되어서

Let us become saints who long for God's grace even more.

그 인생에 하나님의 은혜가 넘치는 죄 백성들이 다 되시기를 바랍니다.

I hope that all sinful people in your life will be overflowing with God's grace.

그래서 은혜 아니면 우리가 살 수 없기 때문입니다.

So we cannot live without grace.

그래서 제가 오늘 이 본문의 제목을 은혜가 생명입니다라고 이렇게 지은 것이고요.

So I titled today's text "Grace is Life."

오늘 본문을 통해서 그렇다면 우리가 우리 안에서 은혜는

Through today's text, what about the grace within us?

은혜가 생명입니다.

Grace is life.

어떤 일을 하고 또 우리는 왜 그 은혜를 사모해야 하는가에 대해서

About what work we do and why we should long for that grace.

한번 생각해 보는 시간이 되었으면 좋겠습니다.

I hope this will be a time to think about it.

첫 번째 이유는 무엇이냐면요.

The first reason is...

은혜가 우리를 하나님께로 인도하기 때문입니다.

It is because grace leads us to God.

우리 1절부터 3절까지를 보시면 거기에 그런 말씀이 나옵니다.

If you look at verses 1 to 3, you will find those words there.

1절부터 3절까지 함께 한 목소리로 함께 다시 한번 읽습니다.

We will read together in one voice from verses 1 to 3 once again.

시작!

Start!

성전의 앞면이 동쪽을 향하였는데 그 문지방 밑에서 물이 나와 동쪽으로 흐르다가

The front of the temple faced east, and water flowed out from under the threshold toward the east.

성전 오른쪽 재단 남쪽으로 흘러내리더라.

It flowed down to the south of the altar on the right side of the sanctuary.

그가 또 나를 데리고 북문으로 나가서 바깥길로 꺾여

He took me out to the North Gate again and turned onto the outside road.

동쪽을 향한 바깥문에 이르시기로 본즉 물이 그 오른쪽에서 스며 나오더라.

When he reached the outer gate facing east, he saw water flowing out from the right side.

그 사람이 손에 줄을 잡고 동쪽으로 나아가며 천척을 측량한 후에

After that person took the line in hand and moved eastward, measuring a thousand cubits,

내게 그 물을 건너게 하시니 물이 발목에 오르더니.

You made me cross that water, and the water rose to my ankles.

여러분 신앙생활의 가장 큰 고민이 무엇입니까?

What is the biggest concern in your faith life?

하나님을 향하지 못한다는 것이죠.

It means not being able to turn towards God.

하나님을 향하고 싶은데 하나님을 늘 보고 싶은데 하나님을 향하지 못하는 것이 우리의 고민입니다.

We want to turn toward God and we always want to see God, but our struggle is that we cannot turn toward Him.

그것은 한국이나 뉴욕이나 보스톤이나 다 똑같은 것 같아요.

It seems like it's the same in Korea, New York, and Boston.

하나님께 향한다는 것은 무엇입니까?

What does it mean to turn towards God?

하나님을 바라보고 그분의 뜻을 읽고 그리고 그분의 뜻에서

Looking to God, reading His will, and being in His will.

하나님을 순종해서 살아가는 것입니다.

It is to live in obedience to God.

그런데 우리가 그렇게 못할 때가 너무나 많은 것이죠.

However, there are so many times when we cannot do that.

하나님의 인도하심을 따라가지 못하고 다른 길로 갈 때가 너무나 많고요.

There are so many times when we cannot follow God's guidance and end up going down a different path.

그 길을 가고 나서 나중에 후회하는 그런 일들이 우리 인생 속에서 얼마나 빈번하게 일어나고 있습니까?

How often do we experience situations in our lives where we regret going down that path later on?

우리에게 은혜는 그런 우리를 하나님께로 인도하는 것입니다.

Grace for us is what leads us to God.

그런 우리의 인도자가 된다는 것입니다.

It means becoming our guide.

오늘 본문을 보시면 에스겔이 성전의 환상을 보여주던 사람을 따라서 성전 문에 이르러 봤어요.

Today, as you look at the text, you will see that Ezekiel reached the temple door following the person who was showing him the vision of the temple.

그랬더니 성전은 동쪽을 향해 서있다고 말씀하고 있습니다.

Then it says that the temple is standing facing the east.

동쪽은 어떤 곳입니까? 여러분 해가 뜨는 곳이죠.

What is the east like? It is the place where the sun rises.

그리고 하나님의 영광이 있는 곳입니다.

And it is a place where God's glory is present.

성전이 그쪽을 향하고 있었어요.

The temple was facing that way.

그러니까 코람데오.

So, Coram Deo.

주님의 임재 앞에서.

In the presence of the Lord.

주님의 임재 앞에서 주님의 얼굴을 바라보는 것입니다.

It is to gaze upon the Lord's face in the presence of the Lord.

하나님의 은혜를 받기 원하신다면 먼저 하나님 앞에 서야 한다는 것이죠.

If you wish to receive God's grace, you must first stand before God.

코람데오 하나님 앞에 설 때 그때 이제 물이 조금씩 나온다고 했어요.

When we stand before God, it is said that water begins to come out little by little at that time.

비로소 그때 이제 은혜가 우리에게 느껴지기 시작한다는 것입니다.

Finally, it is at that moment that grace begins to be felt by us.

그때 비로소 은혜가 우리의 삶을 적시기 시작한다는 거예요.

Only then does grace begin to wet our lives.

그러다가 이제 동쪽으로 흐르다가 재단의 남쪽으로 흘렀습니다.

Then it flowed eastward and then south of the altar.

안내자가 에스겔을 데리고.

The guide took Ezekiel.

그리고 북문으로 나가서 바깥길로 꺾여 동쪽을 향한 바깥문에 이르렀고요.

And then I went out the northern gate, turned onto the outside path, and reached the outside door facing east.

물이 바깥문 오른쪽에서 또 새어나옵니다.

Water is leaking out again from the right side of the outer door.

그리고 그의 인도하심을 따라 계속 가니까 그가 깊은 강물까지 가게 됐다라고 본문은 이야기하고 있습니다.

And the text says that as he continued to follow his guidance, he ended up going to a deep river.

물길이 있었죠.

There was a waterway.

그런데 그 물길은 은혜의 길이었어요.

However, the waterway was a path of grace.

그 길은 그 은혜의 길의 인도하심은요.

The path is the guidance of that grace.

굉장히 구체적이었습니다.

It was very specific.

오늘 본문에 보시면.

If you look at today's text.

아는 방향도 알려주시고요.

Please let me know the direction you know as well.

또 길이도 재주세요.

Please measure the length again.

그렇죠?

That's right?

그리고 향해야 할 곳을 알려주시고.

And please tell me where to go.

그래서 우리는 그냥 잘 따라만 가면 됩니다.

So we just need to follow along.

잘 따라만 가면 결국 은혜의 바닥까지 갈 수 있다는 거예요.

If you just follow along well, you'll eventually reach the depths of grace.

이것이 하나님께서 우리에게 원하시는 길입니다.

This is the path that God desires for us.

그의 인도하심을 따라가는 것이죠.

It means following His guidance.

잘 따라만 가면 된다는 거예요.

All you have to do is just follow along.

따라가는 것이 무엇입니까 여러분?

What does it mean to follow, everyone?

순종입니다.

It is obedience.

은혜에 반드시 필요한 것이 있는데 그것이 뭐냐면 바로 순종이라는 거예요.

There is something that is absolutely necessary for grace, and that is obedience.

순종.

Obedience.

결국 은혜가 우리를 하나님께로 인도하신다는 거예요.

In the end, grace leads us to God.

그런데 순종을 통해서 인도하신다는 것입니다.

However, it means that He guides us through obedience.

그냥 인도하시는 것이 아니라 우리의 순종이 없으면

It is not just guiding, but without our obedience.

우리는 은혜의 길로 갈 수 없다는 것이죠.

We cannot go the way of grace.

그래서 우리가 하나님의 은혜를 구해야 한다는 것입니다.

So we need to seek God's grace.

우리가 하나님의 말씀 그리고 하나님의 인도하심에 우리가 순종하지 못할 때

When we are unable to obey God's word and God's guidance.

그 불순종이 우리 신앙생활에 괴로움이 되고 장애가 될 때

When that disobedience becomes a source of anguish and obstacle in our spiritual life.

하나님의 은혜를 사모하시는 저와 여러분 되시길 주님의 여러분 축복합니다.

I bless you all in the Lord that you may long for God's grace.

사랑이 명사죠 여러분?

Love is a noun, right everyone?

그런데 사람들이 사랑은 동사라고 이야기합니다.

However, people say that love is a verb.

왜냐하면 명사로만 남아있으면 사랑은 아무런 능력이 없기 때문이죠.

Because if it remains only as a noun, love has no power at all.

그런데 순종도 마찬가지라는 거예요.

However, it's the same with obedience.

순종도 명사이지만 순종이 동사가 될 때 순종은 비로소 우리 안에서 그 능력을 발휘하게 된다는 것이죠.

Although obedience is a noun, it is only when obedience becomes a verb that it can truly demonstrate its power within us.

매일매일 입으로 순종한다 순종한다 하지만

Every day, I obediently say I obey, but...

우리 삶 속에서 하나님께 순종하는 그 순종은 바로 그 능력을 발휘하게 된다는 것이죠.

The obedience to God in our lives manifests that power.

그 능력을 발휘하게 된다는 것이죠.

It means being able to showcase that ability.

순종의 행위가 순종의 행동이 없을 경우에 그 순종은 그야말로 허공을 치는 그런 순종이 될 수밖에 없다는 것입니다.

If there are no actions of obedience, then the act of obedience can only be an empty gesture.

그런데 순종에는요 또 한 가지 중요한 것이 있습니다.

However, there is one more important thing about obedience.

그것이 무엇이냐면 바로 시제입니다. 시제.

What that is, is tense. Tense.

명사에는 시제가 없죠.

Nouns do not have tense.

그러나 동사이기 때문에 시제를 가질 수 있어요.

However, because it is a verb, it can have tense.

순종의 시제는 무엇입니까 여러분?

What is the tense of obedience, everyone?

과거형입니까?

Is it in the past tense?

미래형입니까?

Is it future-oriented?

아닙니다.

No, it isn’t.

순종은 현재형입니다.

Obedience is in the present tense.

현재형.

Present tense.

지금이란 것이죠.

It's now.

하나님의 달력에는요 오늘 지금이란 말이 넘쳐나게 적혀있는데

In God's calendar, the words "now" and "today" are written abundantly.

사단의 달력에는 항상 내일이라는 단어가 적혀있다는 거예요.

The calendar of the devil always has the word "tomorrow" written on it.

기도 내일해.

Pray tomorrow.

내일부터 해.

I'll start from tomorrow.

봉사도 내일부터 해.

I'll start volunteering from tomorrow.

예수도 천천히.

Even Jesus was slow.

믿어.

Believe.

지금 즐길 때야.

It's time to enjoy now.

조금 있다가 믿어도 되잖아.

You can believe it a little later, right?

어차피 구원 받을 텐데 뭐.

We're going to be saved anyway, so what?

그런 말들이 계속적으로 우리에게 들려온다는 것입니다.

It means that such words continue to be heard by us.

그러나 우리가 은혜 안에 있으면 성령께서 우리에게 말씀해 주세요.

However, when we are in grace, the Holy Spirit speaks to us.

지금 봉사하라.

Serve now.

지금 믿으라.

Believe it now.

지금 충성하라.

Serve loyalty now.

지금 열심히 해야 된다.

I need to work hard now.

지금 구원을 받아야 된다라고 말씀하신다는 것입니다.

You are saying that one must be saved now.

자는 여러분 늘 하나님 향하시기 원하십니까?

Do you all always want to turn towards God?

원하십니까?

Do you want it?

그렇다면 은혜를 사모하시기 바랍니다.

Then I hope you seek grace.

그리고 순종으로 은혜의 물길을 따라가시기 바랍니다.

And I hope you will follow the path of grace with obedience.

그래서 순종으로 순종을 통해서 그 길을 가다보면 결국은 은혜의 바다에 도달하게 될 것입니다.

So by following the path of obedience through obedience, you will eventually reach the sea of grace.

그 은혜와 축복을 마음껏 누리시는 저와 여러분들의 기념의 이름으로 축복합니다.

I bless you in the name of celebration for enjoying that grace and blessing to the fullest.

아멘.

Amen.

두 번째.

Second.

우리가 은혜를 받아야 되는, 우리가 은혜를 사모해야 되는 이유가 무엇이냐면요.

The reason we need to receive grace and long for grace is because...

은혜에는 생명이 있기 때문입니다.

Because grace has life.

은혜에는 생명이 있기 때문이에요.

Because there is life in grace.

8절부터 12절까지 조금 길지만 다시 한번 함께 읽었으면 좋겠습니다.

I would like us to read together again from verse 8 to verse 12, which is a bit long.

시작.

Start.

그가 내게 이르시되 이 물이 동쪽으로 향하여 흘러 아라바로 내려가서 바다에 이르니니

He said to me, "This water flows eastward and goes down to the Arabah, and enters the sea."

이 흘러내리는 물로 그 바다의 물이 되살아나리라.

The flowing water will revive the waters of the sea.

흘러들어감으로 바닷물이 되살아나겠고.

The sea water will revive by flowing in.

이 강이 이르는가.

Does this river lead here?

이 강은 각처에 모든 것이 살 것이며 또 이 강가에 어부가 설 것이니

"This river will have life in all places, and there will be fishermen standing by this riverbank."

엔게디에서부터 엔에글라임까지 그물진 곳이 될 것이라.

It will be a place of nets from Engedi to En-Glaim.

그 고기가 각기 종류를 따라 큰 바다의 고기같이 심이 많으려니와

The fish, following their respective kinds, will be abundant like the great fish of the sea.

그 진펄과 개펄은 되살아나지 못하고 소금땅이 될 것이며

The mudflats and tidal flats will not revive and will become salt land.

강 좌우가에는 각종 먹을 과실나무가 자라서 그 잎이 시들지 아니하며

On both sides of the river, various fruit trees grow, and their leaves do not wither.

열매가 끊이지 아니하고 달마다 새 열매를 매드주리니

The fruit does not cease, and every month it bears new fruit.

그 물이 성소를 통하여.

That water flows through the sanctuary.

그 열매는 먹을만하고 그 잎사귀는 약재료가 되리라.

The fruit is edible, and the leaves will be used as medicinal ingredients.

아멘.

Amen.

8절 이후에 보시면 은혜 물줄기가 강물을 이루고요.

After verse 8, you will see that the stream of grace becomes a river.

그 곁에 무성하게 자라나는 나무들이 각종 먹을 과실을 맺고요.

The trees growing lushly beside it bear various edible fruits.

그리고 그 잎사귀도 마르지 않고 매달 새로운 열매가 사철동안 맺는다라고 그렇게 기록하고 있습니다.

And it is written that the leaves do not wither and bear new fruit throughout the four seasons.

축복이죠.

It's a blessing.

그렇죠?

That's right, isn't it?

축복입니다.

It's a blessing.

그런데 그 축복의 이유가 무엇입니까 여러분?

But what is the reason for that blessing, everyone?

왜 이것이 축복입니까?

Why is this a blessing?

왜냐하면 생명의 강과 좌우에 심기어 있기 때문입니다.

Because it is planted by the river of life and on both sides.

그것이 축복이에요.

That is a blessing.

은혜에는 생명이 있어서 결국은 쓰러진 것들을 일으키고요.

Grace has life in it, and ultimately it raises up what has fallen.

또 상처난 것들을 회복시키고요.

And also heal the wounds that have been inflicted.

망한 것들을 흥하게 하고 또 결국은 죽은 것을 다시 살리는 생명의 힘이 있다는 거예요.

It means that there is a life force that revives what has failed and ultimately brings the dead back to life.

은혜에는.

In grace.

신혜가에만 있어도, 신혜가에만 심겨져 있어도 마르지 않는 그 철을 따라서 열매를 맺는 그 은혜, 그 축복을 누리내는데

Just by being in Shin Hye's place, just by being planted in Shin Hye's place, I enjoy the grace and the blessing that bears fruit according to that unyielding iron.

그런데 은혜는 졸졸졸졸 흐르는 신혜가가 아니라는 거예요.

However, grace is not the gently flowing Sihyega.

큰 강을 이루어서 바다로 나아가게 한다는 것입니다.

It means that it forms a big river that flows into the sea.

엄청난 생명이 그 안에 있다는 거예요.

It means that there is an incredible life inside it.

물의 특성이 무엇입니까?

What are the properties of water?

물은 결코 한 곳에 머물러 있지 않습니다.

Water never stays in one place.

계속적으로 흘러가죠.

It keeps flowing continuously.

계속적으로 어딘가 흘러가는 특징이 있습니다.

It has the characteristic of continuously flowing somewhere.

8절에 보시면

If you look at verse 8

여기에서 말하는 동쪽, 동쪽이라는 것은 어디냐면요.

The east mentioned here, where is it exactly?

이스라엘, 그 사해 북부 요단강, 요단강 유역을 말하는 것입니다.

Israel refers to the northern Dead Sea, the Jordan River, and the Jordan River basin.

그러니까 아라바는 또 무슨 뜻이냐면 저지대를 뜻하는 거예요.

So, Arabah also means a low-lying area.

그러니까 이 아라바라는 저지대를 지나서 도착하는 바다, 바다는 요단강물이 계속적으로 흘러들어가는 사해를 가르치는 것입니다.

So, this Arabah refers to the sea that arrives after passing through the lowlands, and the sea is the Dead Sea into which the waters of the Jordan River continuously flow.

제가 민숙이를 이렇게 성도인들과 함께 교회에서 묵상하고 나누다가 굉장히 은혜를 많이 받은 적이 있어요.

I have experienced a lot of grace while meditating and sharing about Minsook with the saints at church like this.

무엇이냐면요.

What it is, is this.

하나님께서 가난한 땅을 이스라엘 백성에게 허락하시잖아요.

God grants the land to the people of Israel.

그런데 가난한 땅이 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅이라고 하나님께서 말씀하십니다.

However, God says that the land of the poor is a land flowing with milk and honey.

그런데 정말 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅은 어디냐면요.

But where is the land that truly flows with milk and honey?

애굽이에요.

It's Egypt.

애굽은 그냥 심으면 나는 땅이에요.

Egypt is just a land that produces crops when sown.

우리가 잘 아는 나일강 삼각주가 있고요.

There is the Nile River Delta that we know well.

기후도 좋고요.

The weather is nice as well.

땅도 좋고요.

The land is good too.

그야말로 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅은 바로 그곳입니다.

That is truly the land flowing with milk and honey.

그런데 하나님은 그 애굽보다 가난한 땅을 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅이라고 말씀하세요.

But God calls the land of Canaan, which is poorer than Egypt, a land flowing with milk and honey.

그 이유가 무엇이냐면요.

The reason is that.

아무리 심으면 나는 땅이고 아무리 많은 것들을 줄 수 있는 땅이지만 애굽에는 누가 안 계십니까?

No matter how much I plant, I am the land, and no matter how many things I can give, who is not in Egypt?

하나님께서 거기에 동행하시지 않는다는 거예요.

It means that God does not accompany there.

가난한 땅은 사실은 일부는 좋은 땅이지만요.

The poor land is actually partly good land, though.

대부분 산지고.

Most of it is alive.

또 황무제가 많은 땅입니다.

It's a land with many wastelands again.

그런데 하나님께서 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅이라고 말씀하신 이유는 무엇이냐면요.

The reason God called it a land flowing with milk and honey is because...

내가 너희와 그곳에서 함께하겠다 약속해 주셨기 때문입니다.

Because you promised that you would be with us there.

그 이스라엘을 이렇게 보시면요.

If you look at Israel like this...

여러분 이스라엘이 굉장히 하나님께서 왜 이곳을 가난이라고 말씀하셨는지

Everyone, Israel is indeed why God called this place the land of Canaan.

그 지역적으로 지형적으로 굉장히 인사이트한 그런 매력이 있어요.

It has a very insightful charm in terms of the local geography.

뭐냐면.

What I'm saying is.

지도를 보시면 이스라엘 땅 가난을 이렇게 보시면요.

If you look at the map, you will see the land of Canaan in Israel like this.

길게 이렇게 되어 있는데 구멍이 두 개가 뻥 뚫려 있습니다.

It is long like this, and there are two holes drilled through it.

그런데 위에는 조금 작은 구멍이고요.

However, the one above is a little smaller hole.

밑으로 큰 구멍이 뚫려 있는데 그 위에 있는 작은 구멍이 뭐냐면 갈리바다예요.

There is a large hole at the bottom, and the small hole above it is called Gelibada.

그리고 밑에 있는 큰 구멍이 사해바다입니다.

And the large hole below is the Dead Sea.

그런데 사해는 갈리바다의 한 대여섯 배 정도 크기 되는.

However, the Dead Sea is about five or six times larger than the Sea of Galilee.

그런 굉장히 많은 물을 담고 있는 곳이고요.

It's a place that holds an incredibly large amount of water.

그런데 갈릴리가 훨씬 생명력이 있고 주님께서도 갈리에서 활동하셨어요.

However, Galilee is much more vibrant, and the Lord also worked in Galilee.

왜냐하면 갈릴리는요.

Because it's Galilee.

더러운 물들을 계속적으로 흘려보냅니다.

It continuously drains dirty water.

요단강을 통해서 흘려보내요.

I let it flow through the Jordan River.

요단강 물이 쭉 흐르고 흘러서 결국은 사해까지 가는데 사해는 그 물을 다 머금고 있습니다.

The water of the Jordan River flows and flows, eventually reaching the Dead Sea, which absorbs all that water.

내보내잖아요.

I will send it out.

그죠?

That's right, isn't it?

그래서 염도가 증발시킬 뿐이에요.

So it only evaporates the salinity.

그래서 염도가 약 35% 정도 된다고 그렇게 이야기합니다.

So they say that the salinity is about 35%.

35%가 어느 정도 짜냐 하면요.

How salty is 35%?

여러분 저도 맛을 보지는 않았는데 여러분 젓갈 있잖아요.

Everyone, I haven't tasted it myself, but you know the fermented fish sauce, right?

젓갈. 오징어젓, 조개젓 이런 게 염도가 20% 정도 된다고 합니다.

Fermented seafood. It is said that fermented squid and fermented shellfish have a salinity of around 20%.

바닷물의 한 10배 정도 되는 염도.

A salinity about 10 times that of seawater.

짜기를 가지고 있다는 거예요.

It means you have a lucky charm.

아무것도 살 수 없다는 거예요.

It means you can't buy anything.

그런데 오늘 본문을 보시면요.

However, if you look at today's text.

이 사해, 죽어있는 물, 그 사해가 오늘 본문에 보시면 죽은 바다, 사해일지라도 성전에서 흘러들어 큰 강물이 된 거대한 강물, 은혜의 강물이 들어가면 그 죽은 물이 되살아날 것이라고 오늘 말씀하고 있는 것입니다.

This Dead Sea, the water that is dead, even though it is the Dead Sea mentioned in today's passage, will become a huge river when the waters of grace flow into it from the temple; today’s message is that this dead water will come to life.

하나님의 기운이 들어가게 되면요.

When the energy of God enters, you know.

놀라운 일이 벌어지는 거예요.

Something amazing is happening.

놀라운 은혜가, 놀라운 축복이, 놀라운 회복이 그렇게 우리 삶 가운데 일어나게 된다는 것입니다.

It means that amazing grace, amazing blessings, and amazing restoration will happen in our lives.

이 보스턴 회사의 9년의 삶 동안, 또 그 이후에도 많은 간증이 있는데요.

During the 9 years of this Boston company's life, and even afterward, there have been many testimonies.

하나님께서 놀랍게 은혜를 주셨고, 또 사랑으로 함께 해주셨습니다.

God has bestowed amazing grace and has been with us in love.

지금 생각하면 기적과 같은 일들이 있었어요.

제가 아까도 말씀드렸지만 보스턴에 오게 된 이유는 음악을 공부하러 왔는데

As I mentioned earlier, the reason I came to Boston is to study music.

하나님께서 1년 만에 저를 완전히 가로로 만드셨어요.

God has completely transformed me in a year.

제가 오기 전에 한국에서 살던 곳은 대치동이었습니다.

Before I came here, the place I lived in Korea was Daechi-dong.

안 놀라시네요?

Aren't you surprised?

대치동에서 살았고,

I lived in Daechi-dong,

그리고 그곳에서 광고음악을 하면서 잘 살고 있었어요.

And there, I was living well while working on advertising music.

그런데 하나님께서 이곳을 보내셨어요.

But God has sent me here.

보스턴을 보내셨는데, 그런데 하나님께서 1년 만에 저의 모든 것을 다 아사 가셨습니다.

You sent me to Boston, but God took everything from me after a year.

그래서 결국은 나가지도 못하고,

So in the end, I couldn't go out either,

여기서 1년 만에 대치동에 있던 집도 팔고 모든 재산을 정리하니까요.

After a year here, I sold the house in Daechi-dong and organized all my assets.

딱 제로 베이스가 됐어요.

It's exactly at zero base.

아무것도 남지 않았습니다.

Nothing is left.

그때가 제가 45살 때예요.

That was when I was 45 years old.

아이들은 다 커있고 돌아갈 수도 없고

The kids have all grown up, and we can't go back.

그런 상황 속에 하나님께서 저를 놓으셨습니다.

In that situation, God placed me.

왜 하나님께서 저를 그렇게, 그런 상황으로 모르셨을까라고 생각해 보니까

I started to wonder why God didn't know me like that, in such a situation.

하나님께서 그 전부터 제가 찬양사역을 좀 했습니다.

Before that, God had me involved in a worship ministry.

찬양사역을 해서 찬양 음반도 두 장 정도 내고 만들고 그렇게 해서 찬양사역을 했는데

I have been involved in praise ministry, and I've released about two praise albums and worked on it that way.

청년들 한 30명 정도 이렇게 데리고 찬양팀을 하면서 찬양사역을 하고 돌아다니고 그랬었는데

I used to lead a praise team with about 30 young people, doing praise ministry and traveling around.

그런 사역을 하면서 많은 분들이, 주입분들이 저에게

While doing such ministry, many people and those in charge have approached me.

그대는 안수집사였어요.

You were a deacon.

안수집사님은 하나님 사역자의 길로 가시는 것이 어떻습니까?

How about you, Deacon An, walking the path of God's ministry?

그렇게 많이 이렇게 권면을 하셨어요.

You have given so many such encouragements.

이모저모로.

In various ways.

근데요. 제 마음에 어떤 마음이 있었냐면요.

But you see, there was a feeling in my heart.

그건 멋이 없는 거예요.

That's not cool.

가기 싫은 거예요.

I don't want to go.

홈나지 않는 거예요.

It's not coming home.

루저 같은 느낌이 드는 거예요.

I feel like a loser.

그래서 아닙니다. 저는 그 길은 아니에요. 아니에요.

So no, that's not the way for me. No.

저는 멋있게요. 음악하고요. 또 교수하면서 그렇게 하면서

I am doing cool things. I am making music. And I am also teaching while doing that.

제가 충분히 하나님 일 할 수 있습니다.

I can definitely do God's work.

하나님께서 굉장히 자세하고 디테일하게 그렇게 그리셨습니다.

God created it very elaborately and in detail.

그 길을 인도해 주셨음에도 불구하고 제가 순종하지 못했다는 것이죠.

Despite the fact that you guided me along that path, I still failed to obey.

순종하지 못하니까 하나님께서 저를 속이셔서, 위장하셔서

Because I couldn't obey, God deceived me and disguised me.

저를 이곳에 이렇게 갖다 놓으시고

You brought me here like this.

그리고 저를 갈기갈기 찢으시고 가셨어요.

And then you tore me to pieces and left.

그 이후에

Since then

하나님께서

그때는 굉장히 괴로웠습니다.

At that time, it was very painful.

작년만 해도

그래서 은혜의 강가

So the riverside of grace.

이렇게 우리가 잘 살아서 예배하고 찬양하고 또 말씀 듣고

"By living well like this, we worship, praise, and listen to the Word."

또 목사님처럼 정말 그 말씀으로 그렇게 잘 양육시키시는

"Just like the pastor, you really nurture well with those words."

그 말씀의 공급을 계속 받으시면서

While continuing to receive the supply of that word.

정말 우리가 그 은혜의 축복들을 누릴 수 있다는 것이죠

It truly is a blessing that we can enjoy those gifts of grace.

저는 여러분 그러므로 우리는 은혜를 사모해야 할 줄로 믿습니다

I believe that we should therefore desire grace.

우리의 죽었던 인생이 있어요

We have a life that was dead.

상처받은 가정들이 있어요

There are wounded families.

무너진 예배가 있습니다

There is a collapsed worship.

코비드를 통해서 예배 모습들이 조금씩 회복되고 있지만

Worship appearances are gradually recovering through COVID, but...

우리 안에서 무너진 예배가 있어요

There is a broken worship within us.

우리 안에서 무너진 예배 다시 세워야 되지 않겠습니까?

Shouldn't we rebuild the worship that has collapsed within us?

연약한 믿음들이 있습니다

There are weak beliefs.

그런 것들이 성령의 은혜를 통해서 회복되기를 주님의 의미로 축복합니다

I bless that those things will be restored through the grace of the Holy Spirit in the Lord's meaning.

그래서 주님께로 돌아오는 꿈, 환상, 개시

So the dreams, visions, and revelations of returning to the Lord.

그 이상에 붙들린 하나님의 사람들이 다 되시기를 주님의 의미로 축복합니다

I bless you all in the Lord's name to become people of God who are captivated by that very essence.

세 번째 마지막으로요 은혜가 우리에게 필요한 이유가 무엇이냐면요

Lastly, the third reason why grace is needed by us is...

은혜가 우리에게 소망을 주기 때문이에요

It's because grace gives us hope.

6절, 7절 다시 한 번 읽습니다 시작

I will read verses 6 and 7 once more, starting now.

그가 내게 이르시되 인자야 내가 이것을 보았느냐 하시고

And he said to me, "Son of man, have you seen this?"

나를 인도하여 강가로 돌아가게 하시기로

Lead me back to the riverbank.

내가 돌아가니 강 좌우편에 나무가 심이 많더라

When I returned, there were many trees planted on both sides of the river.

아멘

생명은요 소망이죠

Life is hope.

생명이 없으면 소망이 없습니다

Without life, there is no hope.

근데 은혜가 생명이라고 그랬잖아요

But you said grace is life.

근데 은혜가 생명이라면 은혜가 있는 곳에는 소망이 일어나게 된다는 것입니다

But if grace is life, it means that hope will arise wherever there is grace.

에스겔이요 바벨론 너부안네살 왕 때

Ezekiel, during the time of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon.

그 너부안네살이 예루살렘을 침공해서 많은 사람들을 포로로 잡아갔습니다

That Nebuchadnezzar invaded Jerusalem and took many people captive.

그때 포로로 잡혀갔어요 25살 때

I was captured as a prisoner at the age of 25.

근데 포로로 잡혀갔을 뿐만이 아니라 자기 부인을 그때 잃게 돼요

However, not only was he captured as a prisoner, but he also lost his wife at that time.

그러니까 개인적으로는요 완전히 절망할 수밖에 없는 그런 상황 속에 있는 사람이었습니다

So personally, I was in a situation where I had no choice but to feel completely hopeless.

근데 그 사람에게 그 에스겔에게 하나님의 은혜가 임했어요

But God's grace came upon that person, that Ezekiel.

젊은 나이에 잡혀온 포로의 신분이었고 사랑하는 아내마저 잃은 절망의 순간이었는데

He was a prisoner captured at a young age, and it was a moment of despair having lost his beloved wife.

하나님의 개시가 하나님의 은혜가 지금 에스겔에게 임하게 된 것입니다

The revelation of God has now come upon Ezekiel as God's grace.

그래서 그발강가에 있는 데루비비라는 포로 수용소에서 생활하고 있었는데

So I was living in a prisoner of war camp called Derubibi by the river.

거기서 자기 나라와 조국과 민족을 위해서 계속적으로

Continuously for their country, homeland, and nation from there.

아주 뜨겁게 기도했어요

I prayed very fervently.

근데 하나님께서 그에게 놀라운 환상을 보여주셨습니다

But God showed him an amazing vision.

그래서 그 환상을 기록한 것이 바로 에스겔서입니다

So the book that records that vision is the Book of Ezekiel.

절망 속에 있을 수밖에 없는 그런 상황이었지만

It was a situation where I could only be in despair, but...

하나님의 은혜가 임하게 되면 그는 희망의 사람으로 변화하게 된다는 것이죠

When God's grace comes upon a person, they are transformed into a person of hope.

소망이 우리 안에 생기게 된다는 것입니다

It means that hope will arise within us.

가장 어두운 시기일지라도 우리가

Even during the darkest times, we...

우리가

We

포기하지 않고 구해야 되는 것은 그래서 바로 은혜라는 것입니다

What must be sought without giving up is precisely grace.

한 가지만 더 제가 간증을 좀 드릴게요

I'll share just one more testimony.

제가 보스턴에 있을 때

When I was in Boston

전 목사님과 같은 고등코넬 신학교를 다니고 졸업을 했는데

I attended and graduated from the same high-level Cornell Theological School as the pastor.

그리고 이제

And now

목사 안수를 받아야 되는

Must receive ordination as a pastor.

그래서 한국에서 안수를 받게 됐어요

So I received anointing in Korea.

그래서 모든 과정이 다 끝나고 안수를 받으러 나가야 되는데

So after everything is finished, I have to go out to receive the laying on of hands.

한국에서 교단에서 부부가 같이 오라고 그렇게 연락이 왔습니다

I received a message from the church in Korea asking couples to come together.

그래서 보니까 같이 나갈 돈이 없는 거예요

So I realized that there was no money to go together.

한 명 비행기가 밖에 없었습니다

There was only one airplane outside.

그래서 아이

So the child

아내는 못 나가고

My wife can't go out.

저만 나가게 됐다고 연락을 드리고

I contacted to let you know that I will be going out alone.

저만 나가려고 하고 있는데

I am the only one trying to go out.

그런데 갑자기 아내의 어머님이 쓰러지셨어요

However, suddenly my wife's mother collapsed.

그래서 매일 우는 거예요

That's why I cry every day.

친남매의 막내딸이거든요

I'm the youngest daughter of a pair of brothers and sisters.

매일 우니까

Because I cry every day.

제가 이제 그 모습을 보면서 마음이 괴로워서 고민하다가

Watching that scene now, my heart is troubled, and I am 고민하다가.

아 그러면은 내가 내년에 안수 받겠다

Ah, then I'll receive my ordination next year.

당신이 나가라

You go out.

서로 아니 무슨 소리야

What are you talking about?

그래도 안수는 받아야지

Still, you should receive a blessing.

아니야 어머님 또 돌아가시면 어떡해

No, what if you go back again, mother?

서로 이렇게 옥신각신하는 그런 시간이었어요

It was a time when we were bickering like this.

제가 어느 날 밖에 나갔다가 돌아왔는데

One day, I went outside and came back.

아내가 막 울고 있는 거예요

My wife is crying right now.

왜 그래 그랬더니

Why is that?

아내가 막 울고 있는 거예요

아내가 막 울고 있는 거예요

My wife is crying right now.

봉투를 하나 이렇게 저한테 주면서

As you give me an envelope like this.

말도 못하고 엉엉엉엉 우는 겁니다

I can't even speak and I'm just crying.

그래서 보니까 그 안에 돈이 들어있었어요

So I found out that there was money inside.

웬 돈이야 그랬더니

"Where did you get that money?"

저희 교회에 이제 한국에서 안식년으로 오시면서

You are now coming to our church from Korea for a sabbatical.

이분은 안식년으로 오신 것이 아니고 의사분이셨는데

This person didn't come here for a sabbatical; they were a doctor.

미국에서 의사를 하시려고 한국에서 모든 라이선스를 다 따고 오셨어요

You came to the U.S. after obtaining all your licenses in Korea to become a doctor.

그래서 저는

So I am

부인과 함께 온 가족이 다 오셨고요

The whole family has come along with my wife.

그래서 여기서 이제 잘 정착만 하면 되는데

So now I just need to settle down well here.

그런데 부인이 정착이 안 되는 거예요

But my wife is having a hard time settling in.

그래서 이 모든 것을 다 접고 다시 한국으로 돌아가시는

So you're giving all of this up and returning to Korea.

굉장히 그분 개인적으로 보면 굉장히 우울하고

If you see that person personally, they are very depressed.

그리고 모든 자기 소망들이 이렇게 지금까지 했던 소망들이 사라지는

And all my wishes, the wishes I've had until now, are disappearing.

그런 상황이었어요

It was such a situation.

그런데 이분이 이제 다 정리하고 돌아가시면서 남은 달러가 있었어요

However, this person had some leftover dollars when they finished organizing everything and were about to go back.

그 달러를 생각이 난 것이 이제 저희 아내였던 것 같아요

I think that dollar reminded me of my wife now.

그래서 아내에게 와서 오셔서 차 몰고 오셔서 내리지도 않고

So my wife came and drove over without even getting out.

창문층 내리시고 안 받으려고 그러는 거 뻔히 아니까 던지고 가셨다는 거예요

I know you clearly didn’t want to take it, so you just threw it out the window and left.

그게 보니까 딱 비행기별 값이었어요

It turns out it was exactly the price of a plane ticket.

비행기별 값이었어요

It was the price of a plane ticket.

그런데요 간증이 여기서 끝나면 재미가 없어요

However, if the testimony ends here, it would be boring.

그리고 나서 이분이 이제 떠나셨어요

And then this person has now left.

저희는 이제 둘 다 갈 수 있게 됐죠

Now we can both go.

떠나셨는데 떠나셔서 이제 한국에 도착하시고 나서

You have left, but after you arrive in Korea.

이메일이 길게 왔습니다

The email was long.

전사님 저희는 잘 도착했습니다

Warrior, we have arrived safely.

그런데요 너무 은혜롭게 도착했어요

By the way, I arrived very graciously.

이분이 모든 걸 이제 자기 꿈을 접고 다시 한국으로 돌아가신

This person has now put aside all their dreams and returned to Korea.

그런 절망 가운데 있었던 분이신데

He was someone who was in such despair.

그런데 그 이메일의 내용이 이런 것이었어요

The content of that email was like this.

한국으로 돌아가시는데 비행기 안에서 갑자기 한 분이 호흡곤란이 온 거예요

One person suddenly experienced breathing difficulties on the plane while returning to Korea.

그래서 거의 죽게 되신 것입니다

So you almost died.

그런데 의사를 막 찾으니까

But I couldn't help but look for a doctor.

자기 의사잖아요

It's your own will.

그래서 가서 해본 적이 너무 오래된 기관 삽관을 막 하고

So I just did a very old intubation that I haven't done in a long time.

그래서 이분의 생명을 살렸다는 거예요

So, it means that this person saved a life.

그래서 정말 다운된 마음으로 그렇게 막 다시 학교로 돌아가고 그렇게 되는데

So I really go back to school with a heavy heart like that.

학교에 가니까 이 사실이 알려지면서 완전히 히어로가 됐어요

When I went to school, this fact became known, and I completely became a hero.

그래서 정말 환영을 받으면서 그렇게 학교로 돌아가게 됐어요

So I was welcomed back to school like that.

그런데 또 한 가지는 감사한 것이 무엇이냐면

But one more thing I'm grateful for is that

대한항공에서 감사하다고 비행기표 두 장을 줬다는 거예요

Korean Air gave two plane tickets as a thank you.

한 장 값을 저희한테 줬는데 두 장 값을 대한항공에서 받았다고

You gave us the price for one ticket, but you received the price for two tickets from Korean Air.

너무 신기하고 너무 감사하다고 그렇게 이메일이 왔었습니다

I received an email saying that it was so amazing and they were very grateful.

은혜는요

What about Eunhye?

정말 아무리 어려운 상황도 불가능한 환경 침체된 우리의 삶 가운데서도요

No matter how difficult the situation, even in our impossible environment and in the midst of our stagnant lives.

우리에게 소망을 갖게 한다는 것입니다

It means giving us hope.

하나님 역사하시면 하나님께서 함께 하시면 우리에게 소망이 생긴다는 거예요

When God works and is with us, it gives us hope.

절대로 포기하지 않는 그 마음을 주신다는 것입니다

It means giving the heart that never gives up.

포기할 수밖에 없는 상황일지라도 간절한 마음이 있다면

Even in a situation where one has no choice but to give up, if there is a heartfelt desire,

하나님께서 그 길을 열어주신다는 것입니다

God opens that road.

그런 일들이 여러 번 계속되면 우리 안에 하나님이 살아계심에 대한 확신이 생기는 거예요

When such things happen repeatedly, we gain confidence that God is alive within us.

살아계신다고 우리가 말로 이야기하죠

We say that you are alive.

하나님 살아계신다고 우리는 다 알고 있죠

We all know that God is alive.

그렇게 이야기하지만 정말 내 안에 확신이 생기고

Even though you say that, I really start to feel convinced inside me.

그 신뢰가 생긴다는 것입니다

It means that trust is established.

그래서 어떤 순간에도 포기하지 않고 소망을 가지게 될 수 있다는 것이죠

So it means that you can have hope and never give up at any moment.

은혜가 정말 좋은 것은요

What is really good about grace is that...

이런 기적이나 이러한 놀라운 하나님의 역사나 이런 것들보다도

More than such miracles or such amazing works of God

정말 더 좋은 것은 무엇이냐면요

What is really better is...

우리에게 생명을 주고 우리에게 소망을 주기 때문입니다

Because it gives us life and gives us hope.

아무 일은 일어나지 않는다 할지라도

Even if nothing happens

우리가 은혜 안에 그렇게 푹 잠겨 있으면요

If we are deeply immersed in grace like that...

우리 안에 새로운 생명들이 새로운 소망들이 생기고

New lives and new hopes are born within us.

생기게 될 것입니다

It will happen.

네 이제 오늘 본문을 보시면 다시 본문으로 돌아가세요

이 에스겔이 환상 속에서 본 것을 보시면

When you look at what Ezekiel saw in his vision.

처음엔 발목에 물이 찼죠

At first, there was swelling in my ankle.

그리고 이제 무릎에 차고 그리고 허리에 차고

And now it's worn on the knees and worn on the waist.

그 다음에 이제 깊은 강물로 가게 됩니다

Then we will go to the deep river.

가는데 여러분 한번 생각해 보시면

As you go, everyone, think about it for a moment.

물이 발목 정도 있을 때는 다니기 쉽잖아요

It's easy to walk when the water is about ankle-deep, right?

그렇죠? 그리고 무릎 정도도 괜찮아요

That's right? And the knees are okay too.

그런데 이제 허벅지 정도 오게 되면 조금씩 저항을 느끼게 됩니다

However, when it gets to about the thigh, you start to feel a little resistance.

은혜 가운데서도 우리가 힘들어하는 부분들이 있어요

Even in grace, there are parts where we struggle.

그리고 은혜가 막 이렇게 가슴까지 물이 가슴까지 차오르면요 두려워집니다

And when grace fills up to my chest, I become afraid.

그런데 완전히 잠기게 되면 비로소 자유로워질 수 있는 것이죠

However, only when you are completely submerged can you truly be free.

오늘 본문을 보시면요

If you look at today's text,

그 깊이 잠기는 것들은요

The things that sink into that depth.

깊이 잠기는 것들은요

Those who sink deeply.

그것이 중요하다는 것을 우리에게 말씀하고 있는 본문이 있어요

There is a text that tells us it is important.

우리가 아주 주의 깊게 바라보고 기억해야 될 것이 있는데요

There is something we need to observe and remember very carefully.

그 무엇이냐면요

What it is, is...

우리 6절, 7절을 다시 한번 우리 함께 읽습니다

Let's read verses 6 and 7 together once again.

시작

Start

그가 내게 이르시되 인자야 내가 이것을 보았느냐 하시고

He said to me, "Son of man, have you seen this?"

나를 인도하여 강가로 돌아가게 하시기로

"Guide me to return to the riverside."

내가 돌아가니 강 좌우편에 나무가 심이 많더라

When I returned, there were many trees planted on both sides of the river.

아멘

에스겔이 깊은 강물까지 가는 동안에

While Ezekiel was going as far as the deep river.

보지 못한 것입니다

It is something I have not seen.

깊은 강물까지 갔는데요

I went all the way to the deep river.

깊은 강물에 잠겼는데도 보지 못한 것이 있습니다

There is something I couldn't see even though I was submerged in deep waters.

좌우편에 나무들을 보지 못했어요

I didn't see the trees on the left or right.

그런데 언제 봤냐면요

But when did I see it?

그렇게 본 때가 언제냐면

When was the last time you saw that?

깊은 강물에 잠기고 나서 돌아오는 길이라는 거예요

It's a path that returns after being submerged in deep waters.

깊은 은혜를 체험해야만 보이는 것들이 있다는 것입니다

There are things that can only be seen by experiencing deep grace.

깊은 은혜를 체험해야만 우리가

We must experience deep grace.

깊은 은혜를 체험해야만 보이는 것들이 있다는 것입니다

There are things that can only be seen by experiencing deep grace.

우리가 볼 수 있고 또 느낄 수 있고

What we can see and also feel.

또 그것을 우리의 삶으로 끌어올 수 있는

And it can also elevate that into our lives.

그런 축복들이 있다는 거예요

It means that there are such blessings.

그때 비로소 이제 우리는 그런 축복들을 보게 되는 것입니다

Only then do we begin to see such blessings.

그래서 우리가 포기할 수 없는 것이죠

So that's something we cannot give up on.

은혜를 포기할 수 없는 것입니다

It is something that cannot be given up on grace.

그래서 우리는 은혜를 사모해야 한다는 것입니다

So we must yearn for grace.

7절을 보니까

Looking at verse 7.

내가 돌아가니 강 좌우편에 나무가 심이 많더라

When I returned, there were many trees planted on both sides of the river.

라고 그렇게 말씀하고 있는데요

I'm saying it like that.

많다라는 것은요

To say "there are many" or "being many"

히브리어로 라브라는 그런 단어를 썼는데요

In Hebrew, the word "Rav" is used for that.

그런데 이것은 외형적으로 물리적으로 크고 많다라는 뜻인데

However, this means big and numerous in terms of appearance and physically.

물리적으로만 크고 많다라는 뜻이 아니고요

It doesn't just mean physically big and many.

질적으로도 굉장히 크고 풍성하다는 의미의 그런 단어입니다

It is a word that means very large and abundant in quality.

그러니까 은혜는 받으면 받을수록

So the more grace you receive, the more...

더 깊은 영적인 풍성함을 누리게 된다

You will experience a deeper spiritual abundance.

된다는 것이죠

It means that it will be done.

오늘 이 은혜 장로교회에서

Today at this Grace Presbyterian Church

이 은혜에 대한 이 말씀을

This word about grace.

전하고 또 함께 나눌 수 있도록 하신 것은

What has been given and shared together is...

하나님의 은혜라고 저는 믿습니다

I believe it is God's grace.

사랑하는 여러분 은혜를 사모하시기 바랍니다

Dear beloved, I hope you desire grace.

은혜 사모하시고요

I cherish grace.

사모하고 사모해서

Longing and yearning.

하나님께서 준비하신 축복들을 마음껏 누리시고

Enjoy the blessings that God has prepared for you to the fullest.

은혜를 사모하시기 바랍니다

I hope you long for grace.

그리고 발목에서부터 시작한 은혜가

And the grace that started from the ankle

무릎을 지나고 허리를 지나고

Passing by the knees and the waist.

그리고 온전히 이제

And completely now.

우리를 깊은 은혜의 강에

Into the deep river of grace.

그렇게 침잠하게

So deeply immersed.

그렇게 하심으로

By doing so

그 마침내 죽은 것들을 살려내는

That which finally brings the dead back to life.

그런 놀라운 생명의 축복을 마음껏 누리시는

Enjoying the amazing blessing of life to the fullest.

저와 여러분 되시기를

Deeply immersed in that grace.

주님의 귀한 한 분 한 분들이

Each and every one of the Lord's precious ones.

되게 하여 주시옵소서
