그 말인즉슨 뭘까요?

아무 생각 없이 입고 왔을까요?

그냥 우연히 막 이렇게 입고 왔을까요?

No, that's not right.

무슨 이야기를 하겠다라는 거죠?

What are you going to talk about?

수련에 관련 이야기를 하겠다라는 거잖아요

You're saying that you're going to talk about training, right?

우리가 수련회가 끝난 지 이제 한 달이 지나가고 있습니다

It has been a month since our retreat ended.

여러분 수련회 때 오셨던 분도 있고 오시지 않았던 분도 있지만

Some of you attended the retreat, while others did not.

수련회 때 보통 우리는 뭐라고 이야기합니까?

What do we usually talk about during the retreat?

은혜 받았습니까? 은혜 안 받았습니까?

Have you received grace? Have you not received grace?

세월에 은혜 받았어요? 안 받았어요?

Have you received grace from time? Or not?

받았죠

I received it.

그래서 은혜 받았다라는 말이 뭡니까?

So what does it mean to say that one has received grace?

은혜 받았다

I received grace.

그래요

Okay.

우리가 은혜 받았다라는 말을 쓸 때면

When we say we have received grace,

사실은

The truth is

오늘 오전 예배 때 또 잠깐 나누긴 했지만

I briefly shared again during the worship service this morning, but...

은혜라는 말이

The word "grace."

우리는 어떻게 쓰냐 하면

How we use it is...

감정의 만족

Satisfaction of emotions

뭔가 좋았다라는 표현

An expression that something was good.

뭐 이런 것을 교회에서 쓸 때

When using something like this at church.

은혜라는 말로 치환해서 쓰곤 합니다

I often use the word "grace" to replace it.

그런데 은혜라는 말은

However, the word "grace" means...

하나님이 자격 없는 사랑이

God's unworthy love.

자격 없는 우리 가운데 부어지는

Poured out among those unqualified.

놀라우신 하나님의 사랑이 경험 되어졌을 때

When the amazing love of God was experienced.

우리가 은혜 받았다라는 말을 쓰는 거예요

We use the phrase that we have received grace.

그러면 수련회 때 왜 우리가 은혜 받을 수밖에 없을까요?

Then why is it that we can't help but receive grace during the retreat?

가둬놓고 때리잖아요

You lock them up and hit them.

그죠?

Right?

가두어 놓고 이 가두리 양식을 하잖아요

You keep them confined, and then you feed them this confined diet, right?

다 받아놓고 몰아놓고 나서

After taking everything, you just left it all behind.

가도 막 손들려고 그러고

Even when I go, I'm still trying to raise my hand.

막 찬양하고 눈물 막 흘리고

I was just praising and shedding tears.

감정적으로 막 고조되고

Emotionally getting heightened.

그러면 하나님의 사랑이 경험 되어지지 않을 수가 없어요

Then it is impossible not to experience God's love.

하나님을 믿는 사람들은

People who believe in God

그러면 거기서는 우리 모두가 하나님의 은혜를 경험한단 말이에요

Then there, we all experience God's grace.

정말로 자격 없는 우리 가운데

Among us who truly do not deserve it.

하나님의 사랑이 경험 되어져요

God's love is being experienced.

자격 없는 우리 가운데 하나님의 말씀이 다시 새롭게 해석되어져서

Among us who are unworthy, the word of God is reinterpreted anew.

일어날 수 있는 힘들이 막 생겨난단 말이에요

The strength to rise is just starting to emerge.

그게 수련회에요

That's the training camp.

그러니까 수련회 오면 보통은 은혜 받고 돌아가기 마련입니다

So when you come to the retreat, it's usual to receive grace and go back.

자 문제는 뭐냐

So what's the problem?

한 달이 지났습니다

A month has passed.

여러분 다 같이 결단도 하고 막 손 얹고 막 손 들고 결단도 하고

Everyone, let's all make a decision together, raise our hands, and make a commitment.

이번에 특히 이번 수련회 때 기도를 많이 했습니다

This time, especially during this retreat, I prayed a lot.

그래 가지고 목사님도 그렇고 저도 그렇고

So both the pastor and I are like that.

여러분 안수하면서 막 기도도 하고 막 그랬어요

Everyone was laying hands and praying fervently.

Well, that training session.

은혜 지금 유지하고 있습니까?

Are you maintaining grace right now?

수련회원님 수련회 은혜가 지금까지 남아 있습니까?

Are the blessings from the retreat still with you?

아 그래도 남아 있다

Oh, it's still there.

네 정직한 대답입니까? 아니면 속이는 대답입니까?

Is that your honest answer? Or is it a deceptive answer?

그래요

Alright.

우리가 그때는 정말로 십자가의 길

At that time, we truly followed the way of the cross.

내가 생명까지 걸고 걸어가겠다라고

I will walk with my life on the line.

우리가 함께 고백하고 결단하지만

Although we confess and make decisions together

돌아오면 어때요?

How about when you come back?

넘어지는 것이 우리의 모습입니다

Falling down is who we are.

정말 그러고 싶지 않은데요?

I really don't want to do that.

네 돌아오면 또 넘어지고 또 실패하고

Yes, when you come back, you'll stumble and fail again.

또 연약해져 있는 모습이 우리의 모습입니다

Once again, the appearance of being weak is our appearance.

자 그래서 오늘은 어떻게 좀 설교를 진행을 할까 하다가

So today, I was thinking about how to proceed with the sermon.

추석 때 오는 게 힘들 줄 알겠어요? 모르겠어요?

Do you think it will be difficult to come during Chuseok? I don't know?

이러기야? 정말 다 이럴래요?

Is this how it's going to be? Is everyone really going to act like this?

오늘 막 해도 돼요 방송도 안 나가잖아

We can just do it today; it's not going to be broadcasted anyway.

오늘은 페이지를 세 부분으로 좀 나누어서

첫 번째 키워드는 실패

이렇게 좀 설교를 진행해 볼까 합니다

실패에 관해서는 지금 우리가 수련을 통해서

Regarding failure, we are currently through training.

우리도 실패할 수 있다라는 것들을 좀 같이 나눴어요

우리가 수련을 지나가면서 이제 막 정말로 열심히 결단한단 말이에요

As we go through training, we have just made a firm decision to work really hard.

그 신앙인들의 고민이 뭐냐 하면 이런 거예요

What the believers are troubled by is this:

처음에는 여러분들이 어떤 것으로 고민하고

At first, you were worried about what.

어떤 것으로 여러분들이 걱정을 많이 하느냐 하면

What you worry about a lot is what.

하나님이 무언가 없어 보여서

It seems like God is lacking something.

하나님이 내 삶 가운데 사라져 보일 때

When God seems to disappear from my life

내가 있단 말이에요

I am here.

하나님이 침묵하실 때

When God is silent

우리가 실망하기도 하고 고민하기도 해요

Sometimes we feel disappointed and troubled.

하나님께서 내가 이렇게 기도 열심히 했는데

God, I have prayed so earnestly like this.

왜 안 들어주실까

Why won’t you listen?

하나님께서 왜 나의 길을 열지 않으실까

Why won't God open my path?

이런 생각들이 쪼렙대는 듭니다

I have these thoughts that make me feel inexperienced.

이걸 고민하고 있다

I'm thinking about this.

그럼 여러분들이 신앙에 아직까지는 쪼렙이라는 거죠

Then that means you guys are still beginners in faith.

자 그런데 신앙의 레벨이 쌓이면서 어떻게 생각이 들죠

However, as the level of faith accumulates, what do you think?

잘 안 될 때도 이것들을 해석할 수 있는 눈이

"Even when things don't go well, the ability to interpret these things."

여러분들 가운데 생기기 시작합니다

It will start to happen among you all.

믿음의 눈이 열리기 시작해요

The eyes of faith begin to open.

그러니까 믿음의 눈이 열리면서 조금 실패하더라도

So, even if you fail a little as your eyes of faith are opened...

이것을 다시 바라볼 수 있고

I can look at this again.

하나님 시각에서 해석할 수 있는 힘들이

The powers that can be interpreted from God's perspective.

여러분 가운데 생기기 시작합니다

It begins to happen among you all.

그러면서 여러분들 가운데 찾아오는 고민이 무엇입니까

What concerns are you facing among yourselves?

나는 왜 하나님 믿는데 바뀌지 않을까

Why don't I change even though I believe in God?

나는 은혜 받았다고 생각했는데

I thought I was blessed.

수련회 가니까 3박 4일 수련회 받아서

Since I'm going to a retreat, I'll have a 3-night, 4-day training session.

받아온 은혜는

The grace received

3박 4일이면 까먹어요. 왜 그럴까? 왜 나는 바뀌지 않을까?

If it's three nights and four days, I forget. Why is that? Why can't I change?

나는 하나님을 열심히 믿는데 왜 매 순간 하나님으로부터 멀어지려 하고

I believe in God earnestly, so why do I try to distance myself from Him every moment?

하나님을 배신하고 하나님에 대한 그 신앙 가운데 내가 세워놓은 그 결단들 가운데 실패할까?

Will I fail in the decisions I've made in my faith in God, betraying Him?

이런 고민들이 든단 말이에요. 이런 고민들이 여러분 가운데 들고 있으면

I have these kinds of thoughts. If you are having these kinds of thoughts among you...

여러분들이 약간 쪼렙을 벗어나서 고렙을 향해서 가고 있다고 여러분들이 생각하시면 됩니다.

You can think of yourselves as moving a little beyond being newbies and heading towards being high-level players.

그러다 보니까 이 고렙을 지낼 때 반드시 드는 생각이 있어요. 그게 뭐냐?

As time goes on, there is a thought that inevitably comes to mind during this stage of life. What is it?

신앙에 대한 회의가 찾아오기 시작합니다. 수련회 가니까 어때요? 열심히 은혜 받았어요.

Doubts about faith begin to arise. How was it at the retreat? I received grace diligently.

은혜 안 받는 거 아니에요. 여러분 다 은혜 받았잖아요. 예배 시간에 은혜 받아요? 안 받아요?

You're not receiving grace, are you? You've all received grace, right? Do you receive grace during worship time? Or not?

예배 시간에 그래도 은혜 받아요. 다 은혜 받는단 말이에요.

Even during worship time, we still receive grace. Everyone receives grace, I mean.

우리가 이야기하는 그 감정적 만족이 아니라 눈물 한 방울 흘려서 은혜 받는다 이게 아니라

It's not the emotional satisfaction we're talking about, nor is it about receiving grace by shedding a tear.

하나님의 사랑이 진짜로 경험되어지기 시작해요. 특별히 우리 기쁨의 교회는 어떤 교회예요?

The love of God begins to be truly experienced. What kind of church is our Joy Church, in particular?

여러분들 집 가까워요? 멀어요? 다 멀잖아요. 여기까지 왜 오는 거예요?

Is your home close by? Is it far? It's all far, right? Why are you coming all the way here?

대전에서도 오더라고요. 이제는. 그래서 내가 보면서 깜짝 놀랐어요.

I heard that they come to Daejeon too. Now. So I was really surprised when I saw it.

대전에서 여기까지 온다고? 제가 이해가 가지 않잖아요. 그런데 왜 오는 거죠?

You came all the way here from Daejeon? I don't understand. But why are you coming?

우리 교회가 아니면 안 되니까 오는 거예요. 왜 우리 교회가 아니면 안 되죠?

I'm coming because it has to be our church. Why does it have to be our church?

여기가 하나님의 사랑을 경험할 수 있는 예배 공간이니까. 그래서 찾아오는 거란 말이에요.

This is a place of worship where you can experience God's love. That's why people come here.

여러분들도 다 마찬가지잖아요. 하나님의 은혜를 경험하기 위해서 두 시간 걸려서

You all are the same, right? It takes two hours to experience God's grace.

한 시간 넘게 걸려서 다 이 자리를 찾아와요. 그러면 우리가 예배 시간 가운데 하나님의 은혜를 경험하는 건 맞아요.

It takes over an hour to get to this place. So, it is true that we experience God's grace during the worship service.

그런데 문제는 뭐죠? 그 은혜가 유지되지 않는 것처럼 보여요. 그러니까 이제 어떤 생각이 들죠?

So what is the problem? It seems that the grace is not being maintained. So what thoughts come to mind now?

나중에는 예배는 그래도 형식적으로 드리고 뭔가 예배 안 드리면 흔쾌해지는 것 같잖아요.

Later on, it seems that even if we still hold worship services formally, not having a service makes us feel more at ease.

주일에 다른 거 하면 하나님께서 노하실 것 같고. 신앙적 양심 때문에 우리가 예배는 나오는데

I feel like God would be angry if we did something else on Sunday. Because of our spiritual conscience, we do come to worship.

이제 뭘 제끼기 시작하죠? 수련회를 제끼기 시작합니다. 왜 제끼죠?

Now, what do we start skipping? We start skipping the training camp. Why do we skip it?

가봐야 은혜는 받지만 내 삶에 변화가 없다라고 생각하기 때문에 그렇습니다.

I think it's because I receive grace when I go, but there is no change in my life.

믿어도 별거 없더라 라는 생각이 드는 거예요. 어차피 또 넘어질 거 또 실패할 거 그냥 아예 그냥 가지 말자.

I feel that believing doesn't lead to much. In the end, I'm going to stumble and fail again, so I might as well just not go at all.

이런 생각들이 우리 가운데 들기 시작한다라는 것입니다.

This means that these kinds of thoughts begin to arise among us.

그러면 이게 어떻게 해야 될까요? 우리가 이렇게 실패했을 때, 우리가 이렇게 넘어졌을 때, 신앙의 회의가 들었을 때

So what should we do now? When we fail like this, when we stumble like this, and when we have doubts about our faith.

우리가 주님을 떠나서 자꾸만 주님을 배신하고 싶은 그런 방향성이 우리 가운데 생길 때

When the tendency to stray from the Lord and constantly want to betray Him arises among us.

그러면 우리는 어떻게 해야 할까? 그 이야기를 오늘 말씀을 통해서 같이 나눠볼까 합니다.

So what should we do? I would like to discuss that story together through today's message.

첫 번째 키워드가 뭐라고 이야기했어요? 실패라고 이야기를 했습니다.

What did you say the first keyword was? I said it was failure.

배반이라고 이야기를 했어요. 그런데 우리만 그럴까요?

I said it was betrayal. But are we the only ones?

여러분 우리만 실패할까요? 여러분만 실패할 것 같아요? 그렇지 않습니다.

Will we be the only ones to fail? Do you think you will be the only ones to fail? That's not true.

성경에 나와 있는 모든 인물들이 실패하고 있습니다.

All the characters mentioned in the Bible are failing.

여러분들이 왜 성경 보라고 이야기하냐면요. 우리만 실패하는 게 아니라 성경에 나와 있는 모든 인물들이 실패하고 있어요.

The reason why we tell you to read the Bible is that it's not just us who fail; all the characters in the Bible experience failure as well.

모든 인물들이 넘어지고 있는 것을 성경은 적나라하게 보여줍니다.

The Bible vividly shows that everyone is falling.

그럼 어때요? 그럼 성경 보다가 위로 얻어요.

So what? Well, I find comfort in reading the Bible.

사도 바울도 넘어졌구나. 아브라함도 넘어졌구나. 가위도 넘어졌구나.

Even the Apostle Paul has fallen. Even Abraham has fallen. Even scissors have fallen.

인간이 어떻죠? 인간은 실패할 수밖에 없는 존재다라는 것을 우리가 성경을 통해서 확인할 수 있어요.

What about humans? We can confirm through the Bible that humans are beings destined to fail.

그래서 여러분들이 성경 보면서

So as you all look at the Bible,

얻을 수 있는 유익 중 하나는 뭐냐 하면 정제감에서 빠져나올 수 있습니다.

One of the benefits you can gain is that you can break free from the sense of refinement.

그게 되게 중요해요. 우리는 매일 그런 생각 들잖아요.

That's really important. We think about that every day.

아 나는 왜 안 바뀔까? 안 바뀌는 게 당연해요. 안 바뀌는 게 디폴트 값이라고.

Ah, why can't I change? It's natural that I don't change. Not changing is the default value.

성경에 보면 안 바뀌잖아요. 아브라함이 바뀌어요? 아브라함이 간열적으로 한 번씩 아주 가끔 신앙의 그 모습을 보일 때도 있죠.

The Bible doesn't change, right? Does Abraham change? There are times when Abraham occasionally shows that aspect of faith.

그런데 그걸 우리도 하잖아요. 여러분도 그럴 때가 있단 말이에요.

But we do that too. There are times when you do that as well.

그렇게 신앙 고백할 때가 있어요. 간열적으로.

There are times when you confess your faith like that. Passionately.

그런데 우리도 아브라함도 믿음의 여러 사람들도 항상 실패하는 것이 우리의 모습이다라고 성경이 우리의 가운데 보여주고 있습니다.

However, the Bible shows us that it is our nature to always fail, just like Abraham and many others of faith.

실패하는 자, 배신하는 자의 이야기로 채워진 것이 바로 성경 이야기입니다.

The stories in the Bible are filled with tales of those who fail and those who betray.

오늘은 열두 제자 이야기를 좀 집중적으로 해볼까 해요.

Today, I think I'll focus a bit more on the story of the twelve disciples.

자 그러면 여러분들이 생각하는 열두 제자 중에 배반의 아이콘은 누구입니까?

So, who do you think is the icon of betrayal among the twelve disciples?

다 알고 있죠.

Did only Judas Iscariot betray?

갸론 유다만 실패했어요?

Did Gyalon only fail?

아니잖아요. 우리 마가복음 14장 50절 말씀.

No, that's not right. It's the verse from Mark 14:50.

자 십자가를 앞두고 제자들이 어떻게 했습니까?

So, what did the disciples do in front of the cross?

우리 이거는 재작년이죠. 재작년인가? 재작년 맞나?

This was two years ago, right? Was it two years ago? Am I correct that it was two years ago?

재작년, 아니 다 작년 봄이군요. 작년 봄에 같이 나눴던 말씀입니다.

The year before last, or rather, it was last spring. It's something we talked about together last spring.

자 마가복음 14장 50절 보니까 제자들이 어떻죠? 다 같이 읽어보겠습니다.

Now, if you look at Mark 14:50, what about the disciples? Let's read it together.

시작!

Start!

제자들이 다 예수를 버리고 도망하니라.

The disciples all forsook Jesus and fled.

제자들이 어때요?

How are the disciples?

갸론 유다만 실패한 것이 아니라 지금 제자들도 다 도망갔어요.

It was not only Judas Iscariot who failed, but now all the disciples have also fled.

제자들도 다 실패했다라고 성경이 이야기하고 있잖아요.

The Bible says that all the disciples also failed.

제자들도 다 배신했어요.

Even the disciples betrayed me.

그게 성경이 우리 가운데 보여주는 제자들에 대한 증언입니다.

That is the testimony about the disciples that the Bible shows among us.

실패와 배신은 갸론 유다의 문제가 아니라 사실 모든 제자가 실패했다라고 성경이 이야기해주고 있는 것이죠.

Failure and betrayal are not just the issues of Judas Iscariot, but the Bible tells us that in fact, all the disciples failed.

제자들 뿐만이 아닙니다.

Not just the disciples.

우리도.

Us too.

하나님을 믿는다 하면서도 세상을 쫓고 있는 것이 아마 지금 예수를 믿고 있는 사람들의 모습이지 않을까 합니다.

Perhaps the current state of those who claim to believe in Jesus is that they are chasing the world while professing their faith in God.

아브라함도 그랬고 노아 할아버지는 어떻죠?

Abraham was like that too, and what about Grandpa Noah?

지금 창세기 말씀 보니까 오전 예배 때 담임 목사님께서 창세기 말씀 강의하고 있잖아요.

I just saw that during the Genesis message, the senior pastor is giving a sermon on Genesis in the morning service.

노아 할아버지는 어떻죠?

How is Grandpa Noah?

노아 할아버지 정도면 정말로 말도 안 되는 구원을 경험한 거 아닙니까?

Isn't it true that Grandpa Noah experienced an incredible, unbelievable salvation?

진짜잖아요.

It's true.

다른 사람들은 다 물로 심판받았어요.

Everyone else was judged by water.

노아 할아버지와 그 가족만 구원받았습니다.

Only Grandpa Noah and his family were saved.

저는 그러면 저 같으면 진짜 하나님 평생 하나님만 바라보고 하나님만 신앙하고 하나님 말씀 가운데 순종하며 살 것 같아요.

If it were me, I would really focus on God for my whole life, have faith only in God, and live in obedience to His words.

그런데 노아 할아버지가 육지로 올라와서 예배 드린 다음에 했던 것이 무엇이죠?

So, what did Grandpa Noah do after he came up on land and held a worship service?

포도농사 지어서 포도주 마시고 만취한 것입니다.

I farmed grapes, drank wine, and got completely drunk.

그런데 거기에 만취했다는 장면이 일회성이 아니에요.

However, the scene where someone is completely drunk is not a one-time occurrence.

시제를 보면 계속해서 지속 반복적으로 일어나고 있음을 보여줍니다.

The tense shows that it is happening continuously and repeatedly.

그러니까 노아 할아버지가 한 번 술 취해서 실수한 것이 아니라

So it wasn't that Grandpa Noah made a mistake just once while drunk.

노아 할아버지가 계속해서 술 취해서 살았다라고 성경이 증언해 주고 있어요.

The Bible testifies that Grandpa Noah kept living while constantly drunk.

그 말인 줄은 무엇입니까?

What does that mean?

노아 할아버지가 알코올 중독이 됐다는 거잖아요.

It's said that Grandpa Noah became an alcoholic.

하나님 믿어야 되는데.

I need to believe in God.

하나님 믿는 사람의 알코올 중독된 모습을 성경이 우리 가운데 왜 보여주고 있을까요?

자, 끝나고 나서 저희가 치킨을 먹어요.

그 6시간 동안 거기 있는 사람들은 아마 진짜 종교적인,

The people there for those 6 hours were probably truly religious.

그 종교에서 줄 수 있는 가장 드라마틱한 감정을 느끼고 있었겠죠?

You must have felt the most dramatic emotions that religion can offer, right?

그럼 예수님께서 이걸 왜 하셨을까?

만나와 메추라기로 배불리 먹이셨습니다.

불쌍한 이스라엘 백성들, 목자가 없어서 불쌍해서

그래서 자신의 궁핍과 자신의 결핍의 문제를 가지고

So dealing with the issues of one's own poverty and deficiencies.

예수를 따랐던 그 자들에게 예수님께서 보여주시는 거예요.

He is showing it to those who followed Jesus.

예수님께서 내가 너희를 배불리 먹이겠다.

Jesus said, "I will feed you abundantly."

예수님께서 너희의 필요를 채우겠다 말씀하신 거예요.

Jesus said He would meet your needs.

자, 그러니까 이게 얼마나 멋있는 사건이에요.

So, this is how cool this event is.

자, 그런데 예수님께서 이 사건을 보여주신 데는 그들의 필요를 채우는 것에 그치지 않습니다.

Well, however, the reason Jesus showed this event goes beyond just fulfilling their needs.

이것을 넘어서고 있어요.

이것을 넘어서면서 예수님께서 이 사건을 보여주신 진정한 의미를 이제 가르쳐 주고 있습니다.

As we move beyond this, Jesus is now teaching the true meaning of the event.

문제는 이 가르침을 받을 준비가 안 되어 있는 거예요.

그 정도에서 우리가 믿고 있으면 여러분의 결말은 결국 교회를 떠나는 것이 될 것입니다

지금 많은 군중들이 예수를 떠난 것처럼요

베드로가 예수님을 부인했을 때

우리가 형편대로 주님을 사랑할 수 있어야 된다

We must be able to love the Lord according to our circumstances.

뭐 이렇게 설교하시는 분들도 간혹 있는데

Sometimes there are people who preach like this.

여러분 아가파오와 필레오는 구분할 수 없어요

You cannot distinguish between Agape and Phileo.

그것들은 후대에 만들어낸

They were created in later generations.

일단 그 설교를 좀 드라마틱하게 이야기하기 위해서

First, to tell that sermon a bit more dramatically...

좀 만들어낸 용례라고 할 수 있습니다

It can be said that it is a somewhat contrived example.

사실 요한복음이 기록되어졌을 때는

In fact, when the Gospel of John was written,

아가파오와 필레오를 구분할 수 없습니다

I cannot distinguish between agape and phileo.

바꿨을 수 있는 거예요

It could have been changed.

같은 말이라고 생각하면 됩니다

You can think of it as the same thing.

그러면 결국 주님께서

Then, in the end, the Lord...

이 새벽에 찾아오셔서 새벽밥 해주시면서

You came to visit early this morning and made breakfast for me.

물어보고 싶었던 건 뭐냐 하면

What I wanted to ask was what?

너 나 사랑하니? 라는 질문입니다

It's the question, "Do you love me?"

너 나 사랑하니?

Do you love me?

너 실패했는데 너 나 사랑하니?

You failed, but do you love me?

너 넘어졌는데 너 나 사랑하니?

You fell, but do you love me?

너 나 배신하고 저주까지 했는데 너 나 사랑하니?

You betrayed me and even cursed me, but do you love me?

그거 물으시는 거라고요

Are you asking that?

근데 베드로가 어떻게 대답합니까?

But how does Peter respond?

베드로가 세 번째 이렇게 대답합니다

Peter answered this for the third time.

요한복음 21장 17절입니다

This is John 21:17.

베드로가 갸론유다와 다를 수밖에 없는 이유입니다

This is the reason why Peter can only be different from Judas.

요한복음 21장 17절 말씀 다 같이 한번 읽어볼까요?

Shall we all read John 21:17 together?

자 시작

Alright, let's begin.

세 번째 이르시되

He said for the third time.

요한의 아들 시몬아 내가 나를 사랑하느냐 하시니

"Simon, son of John, do you love me?"

주께서 세 번째 나를 사랑하느냐 하심으로

"Do you love me three times?"

베드로가 근심하여 이르되

Peter, worried, said,

주님 모든 것을 아시오메

Lord, You know everything.

내가 주님을 사랑하는 줄을 주님께서 아시나이다

Lord, You know that I love You.

예수께서 이르시되 내 양을 먹이라

Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."

아멘

Amen

여러분 베드로가 계속해서 주님이 물어보시니까

Everyone, Peter kept responding as the Lord kept asking.

민망했겠어요 안 민망했겠어요

It must have been embarrassing, right?

자기가 했던 말 다 지키지도 못하고

Unable to keep any of the promises they made.

자기가 했던 말 그 결심들 다 책임지지도 못하고

Unable to take responsibility for the words and resolutions they made.

결국에 예수님을 버리고 예수님께 저주까지 퍼붓고 도망해온 그 베드로

In the end, Peter abandoned Jesus, cursed Him, and ran away.

그런데 그 베드로에게 예수님께서 집요하게 물으시는 거예요

But then, Jesus persistently asked Peter.

너 나 사랑하니? 너 나 사랑하니? 너 나 사랑하니?

Do you love me? Do you love me? Do you love me?

근데 베드로가 주님 사랑하잖아요

But Peter loves the Lord.

우리 실패해도 주님 사랑하는 마음 있잖아요

Even if we fail, we still have a heart that loves the Lord.

그래서 베드로가 근심하면서 말하는 거예요

So Peter is speaking with concern.

근심하면서 주님 주님께서 모든 것을 다 아시지 않습니까

"Lord, don’t you know everything while I am worried?"

제가 주님을 사랑합니다

I love the Lord.

우리 마지막 설교 듣기 전에 마지막 찬양했던 찬양이 뭡니까?

What was the last song we sang before listening to the final sermon?

주님을 예배하는 것 주님을 예배하는 것

Worshiping the Lord, worshiping the Lord.

주님을 갈망하는 것 주님을 사랑하는 것

Longing for the Lord, loving the Lord.

주님을 사랑하는 것 이게 나의 우리의 유일한 소망이다

Loving the Lord, this is my only hope for us.

그래요 그 고백 때문에 여러분이 결혼유다와 다르다고요

Yes, it's because of that confession that you say you are different from the marriage of Judah.

그 고백이 우리 가운데 있기 때문에 여러분이 다시 일어설 수 있는 거라고요

Because that confession is among us, it means that you can rise again.

그런데 저는 그래서 제가 이 본문을 처음 읽었을 때는

However, when I first read this text,

아 맞아 나도 실패하지만 나도 넘어지지만

Ah, right. I also fail, but I also get back up.

내가 주님 사랑하니까 내가 주님 사랑하니까

Because I love you, Lord, because I love you, Lord.

나는 그래도 예수님의 제자라고 할 수 있어 저도 그렇게 생각했습니다

I can still say that I am a disciple of Jesus. I thought so too.

그런데 본문을 묵상하고 또 묵상하고 또 묵상하니까 조금씩 더 해석이 깊어지더라고요

However, as I meditate on the text again and again, I find that my understanding deepens little by little.

예수님께서 제자인 이 베드로에게 너 나 사랑하니 라고 물어보셨을 때 어떤 마음으로 물어보셨을까요

When Jesus asked His disciple Peter, "Do you love me?", what kind of feelings do you think He had?

여러분들 아직까지 이제 결혼 안 하셨기 때문에 애가 없잖아요

Since you all are not married yet, you don't have any children, right?

제가 하랑이를 키우고 있습니다

I am raising Harang.

하랑이한테 항상 그 무언가 사랑을 확인받고 싶을 때가 있어요

There are times when I always want to confirm that love from Harang.

그래가지고 하랑이한테 지부하게 묻습니다 너 아빠 사랑해?

So I asked Harang, "Do you love your dad?"

너 아빠 사랑하니?

Do you love your dad?

그러면 하랑이가 이제 처음에는 아기가 어렸을 때는 하랑이가 대답을 어떻게 했냐면

So, when Harang was young, how did Harang respond at first?

저 아빠 사랑해요 저 아빠 사랑해요 되게 쉽게 했단 말이에요

I love Dad, I love Dad. I’m saying it was really easy.

그런데 애가 이제 머리가 붉어졌어 할까요 안 할까요?

Should I say that the kid's hair has turned red now or not?

안 하기 시작했습니다 계속 안 해요 안 해 안 해

I started not doing it, and I keep not doing it. I won't do it.

막 그러고 나는 몰라요 막 이러고 몰라요 몰라요 그러고 막 그런단 말이에요

I don't know, it's just like that, I really don't know, I don't know, and it's just like that.

그런데 저는 그 한마디가 듣고 싶은 거예요

But I want to hear that one word.

아빠 사랑한다는 말 그러면 계속해서 물어봐요

If you say you love dad, then keep asking.

하랑아 아빠 사랑해? 하랑이 너 아빠 사랑하는 거 맞아?

Harang, do you love Daddy? Is it true that you love Daddy?

라고 물어봐요

They ask.

그런데 물어볼 때 하랑이에 대한 제 마음은 어떨까요?

But what will my feelings be about Harangi when I ask?

아빠가 되니까 그게 느껴지더라고요

I realized that when I became a dad.

저는 물어볼 때 하랑이한테 물론 하랑이가 아빠를 사랑한다는 말을 듣고 싶지만

When I ask, of course I want to hear that Harang loves his dad.

저는 물어보면서 이야기하는 거예요 아빠는 너 사랑해

I'm talking while asking, Dad loves you.

아빠는 생명 걸고서 너 사랑해

Dad loves you with his life.

그걸 내가 전제하고 하랑이한테 물어보는 거더라고요

I’m asking Harang about that with that assumption.

한 가지예요 예수님께서 너 나 사랑하니? 라고 물어보셨을 때

It's one thing: when Jesus asked, "Do you love me?"

예수님은 베드로가 예수님께서

Jesus said to Peter that Jesus...

베드로가 예수님을 배신하고 배반했지만

Although Peter betrayed and denied Jesus,

예수님께서 베드로를 사랑하고 있다라는 것을 전제하고 물어보시는 거예요

It is a question based on the premise that Jesus loves Peter.

그리고 베드로가 예수님과의 그 대화 질문 질의응답을 계속해서 해가면서

And Peter continued to have that question-and-answer conversation with Jesus.

베드로도 느끼는 거죠 맞아요 주님 제가 배신하지만 주님께서 저 사랑하는 거 맞아요

Peter feels it too, right? Yes, Lord, I will betray you, but you love me, that's true.

주님 저 그 사랑 알아요 그래서 제가 주님 사랑할 수밖에 없습니다 라고 고백하는 거예요

Lord, I know that love, so I can't help but confess that I love you.

사랑하는 여러분 우리가 실패할 수밖에 없는 존재입니다

Dear everyone, we are beings destined to fail.

우리 역시 넘어질 수밖에 없어요 여러분이 잘나서 여러분의 실력이 있어서 여러분이 제자가 된 게 아니에요

We too cannot help but fall; it's not because you are talented or skilled that you became a disciple.

여러분이 어떤 유혹을 이길 수 있는 능력이 있어서 여러분이 예수님의 제자가 된 게 아니라고요

It's not because you have the ability to overcome any temptation that you became a disciple of Jesus.

우리가 제자일 수 있는 이유

The reason we can be disciples.

우리가 하나님의 백성일 수 있는 이유

The reason we can be God's people.

우리가 실패하고 그 배신의 자리에서 우리가 다시 회복할 수 있는 이유가 있습니다

There is a reason that we can recover again from the place of betrayal after we fail.

무엇입니까 예수님께서 여러분을 사랑하신다라는 그 전제가

What is the premise that Jesus loves you?

그 전제가 우리 가운데 있기 때문에 그래요

It's because that premise is among us.

여러분이 실패한 그 순간에도 예수님을 여러분 사랑하십니다

Even in the moment you fail, Jesus loves you.

우리가 예수님께 저주를 퍼붓는 그 순간에도 예수님을 여러분 사랑하십니다

Even in the moment we curse Jesus, He loves you.

그래서 그 사랑을 전제로 여러분에게 물어보세요

So ask yourselves based on that love.

너 나 사랑하니?

Do you love me?

너 나 사랑하는 거 맞어?

Do you really love me?

나 너 사랑해

I love you.

나 너 사랑한다고

I love you.

그래서 우리가 예수님의 그 질문 가운데

So in the midst of Jesus' question,

주님 주님께서 다 아시잖아요 제가 주님 사랑합니다

Lord, you know everything, and I love you.

이렇게 고백할 수 있는 거란 말이에요

It means that I can confess like this.

그래서 우리가 갸론 유다와 다른 겁니다

That's why we are different from Galen Judas.

그래서 우리가 예수님의 제자가 될 수 있는 겁니다

That's how we can become disciples of Jesus.

우리가 실력이 있어서 우리가 예수님의 제자가 될 수 있는 겁니다

It is because we have the ability that we can be disciples of Jesus.

우리가 실력이 있어서 우리가 실패하지 않아서 예수님의 제자가 되는 게 아니라

We become disciples of Jesus not because we have the skills or because we don't fail, but...

지금도 넘어지고 지금도 연악하지만 주님이 우리를 사랑하는 것을 알아서

Even if I stumble now and even if I am weak now, I know that the Lord loves us.

주님이 우리를 사랑해서 새벽까지 우리에게 아끼지 않은 것을 알아서

Because the Lord loves us and does not spare anything for us until dawn.

그래서 그 주님 때문에 그 주님 사랑 때문에

So because of that Lord, because of that Lord's love.

주님 제가 주님 사랑합니다

Lord, I love you.

주님 주님밖에 없습니다 라고 고백할 수 있기 때문에

Because I can confess that there is no one but the Lord.

우리가 다시 회복할 수 있는 것이고

We can recover again.

우리가 다시 예수님의 제자로 살아갈 수 있는 것입니다

We can live again as disciples of Jesus.

사랑하는 청년 여러분 저는 여러분들이 이 주님 사랑합니다 고백 놓지 않으시기를 소망합니다

Dear young people, I hope that you do not let go of your confession that you love the Lord.

축복합니다 이게 우리 삶의 유일한 소망입니다

Blessings to you; this is our only hope in life.

주님 사랑합니다 주님 갈망합니다 주님밖에 없어요

Lord, I love You. Lord, I long for You. There is no one but You.

이 고백이 살아있는 한 이 고백이 우리 가운데 터져 나오고 있는 한 여러분 실패해도 괜찮습니다 왜요?

As long as this confession is alive, as long as this confession is bursting forth among us, it’s okay if you fail. Why?

예수님의 사랑이 우리의 실패 때문에 사그라들지 않거든요

The love of Jesus does not fade away because of our failures.

예수님의 사랑은 우리를 포기하지 않는 사랑 끝까지 추격하는 사랑입니다

The love of Jesus is a love that does not give up on us, a love that pursues us to the end.

10편 23편 6절을 보면요

In Psalm 23:6, it says...

하나님의 선하심 여호와의 선하심이 우리의 끝까지 추격한다라고 되어져 있습니다

It is said that the goodness of God, the goodness of the Lord, pursues us to the very end.

추격한다는 말은 여러분이 지구 끝까지 도망가든 우주 끝까지 도망가든

The phrase "to chase means that no matter how far you run, whether to the ends of the Earth or to the ends of the universe..."

예수님께서는 하나님의 그 사랑으로 맹렬히 추격해서 여러분은 하나님의 백성답게

Jesus fiercely pursues you with God's love so that you may be God's people.

주님의 제자답게 빚어가시겠다고 주님께서 약속하신 거예요

The Lord promised that He would shape you to be like His disciples.

그 약속 때문에 그 약속 때문에 우리가 살 수 있는 것입니다

It is because of that promise that we are able to live.

그래서 21장 19절 보죠 21장 19절 보니까 오늘 마지막 결론입니다

So let's look at verse 19 of chapter 21; verse 19 of chapter 21 is the final conclusion for today.

다 같이 한번 읽어볼까요? 다 같이 읽겠습니다 시작

Shall we all read it together? Let's all read it, starting now.

이 말씀을 하심은 베드로가 어떠한 죽음으로 하나님께 영광을 돌릴 것을 가리키심이로라

This he said to signify by what death he would glorify God.

이 말씀을 하시고 베드로가 이르시되 나를 따르라 그래요

After saying this, Peter said, "Follow me."

베드로가 원래 예수님 때문에 죽을 사람이 아니었잖아요

Peter wasn't someone who was supposed to die because of Jesus originally.

그거 겁나서 예수님한테 저주 퍼붓고 예수님 부인하고 했던 사람이잖아요

That's the person who cursed Jesus and denied Him out of fear.

말은 그럴듯하게 했지만 그거 찍힐 실력과 능력이 없었던 사람이잖아요

They talked a good game, but they didn't have the skills or ability to back it up.

그런데 예수님께서 다시 약속해 주고 있어요

However, Jesus is promising again.

너 십자가에게 걸을 거야 그리고 그 길 가운데 우리가 생각하고 있는

You will walk to the cross, and in the midst of that path, we are thinking.

그 영광의 그림이 있는 게 아니라 죽음의 그림이 있을 거야

There won't be a picture of glory, but a picture of death.

그런데 너 나 따라 올래?

By the way, do you want to follow me?

베드로가 그 주님의 그 약속 가운데 이렇게 이야기하죠

Peter speaks like this in the promise of the Lord.

내 주님 이제는 제가 주님 끝까지 따라가겠습니다

My Lord, now I will follow You until the end.

주님 사랑 때문에 제가 한 걸음 한 걸음 십자가에게 걸어가겠습니다

Because of the Lord's love, I will walk step by step toward the cross.

이렇게 고백하는 거예요

This is how you confess.

그래 그 고백이 예수님께 와닿자 예수님께서 이렇게 말씀하십니다

Yes, when that confession reached Jesus, He said this:

나를 따르라

Follow me.

우리 청년들에게도 주님께서 동일하게 말씀하십니다

The Lord speaks to our youth in the same way.

주님의 사랑 때문에 주님 사랑합니다 라고 고백하고 있는 거예요

I am confessing that I love you because of the Lord's love.

여러분에게 주님께서 말씀하십니다 나를 따르라

The Lord speaks to you: Follow me.

그런데 우스갯소리지만 베드로가 또 넘어지는 모습을 또 이 다음 장면을 보여줘요

It's a funny story, but it shows the scene where Peter falls again.

베드로가 누구를 의식하냐 하면 사도 요한을 의식합니다

Peter is conscious of the apostle John.

그래서 사도 요한은 어떻게 되는데요? 이렇게 물어요

So what happens to the Apostle John? They ask like this.

요한복음에서 베드로와 사도 요한은 라이벌 관계거든요

In the Gospel of John, Peter and the Apostle John have a rivalry.

그러면 저는 주님 따라서 십자가에서 죽는데

Then I will die on the cross following the Lord.

제가 어떻게 죽을지 주님께서 말씀하셨는데 저 십자가에게 걸을 건데

The Lord has told me how I will die, and I will be hanging on that cross.

그럼 요한은 어떻게 됩니까?

Then what happens to Johan?

또 사람을 의식하고 있는 또 연약한 모습이 베드로에게 또 나옵니다

Once again, Peter shows a weak side that is conscious of others.

그런데 저는 이래서 요한복음이 너무 좋아요

But that's why I love the Gospel of John so much.

우리가 지금 이렇게 또 고백하고 결단하지만 또 넘어질 수 있습니다

Even though we confess and make a decision like this now, we can still stumble again.

또 인간적인 면 우리가 또 보일 수 있어요

We can also show our human side.

그런데 여러분 낙심하지 마십시오 여러분 포기하지 마십시오

But everyone, do not be discouraged. Do not give up.

왜요? 예수님의 사랑이 여러분의 낙심과 여러분의 실패 이긴다

Why? The love of Jesus overcomes your discouragement and your failures.

그것을 덮어준다

I will cover it.

그래서 우리가 다시 한 번 더 십자가의 길 끝까지 걸어갈 수 있는 것입니다

So we can walk once again to the end of the way of the cross.

주님 보여주신 이 길

The path You have shown, Lord.

주님 사랑합니다 고백하며 주님 갈망합니다라고 우리가 고백하며

Lord, I love You and I long for You as we confess.

주님께서 보여주신 이 십자가의 길 끝까지 주님과 함께 걸어내는

Walking together with the Lord along this path of the cross that the Lord has shown me, until the end.

우리 모든 기쁨의 교회 청년 여러분 다 되시기를 예수님의 이름으로 소망하고 축복합니다

Let us all read Ephesians 1:6, begin.

너희 안에서 착한 일을 시작하시니가 그리스도 예수의 날까지 이루어질 줄에

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

우리가 확신하노라 아멘

We are confident, amen.

그래요 여러분 가운데 예수님께서 착한 일을 이미 시작하셨어요

Yes, among you, Jesus has already started doing good works.

이제 누가 완성해 나가신다고요?

Now, who is going to complete it?

여러분의 어떠한 모양이 아니라 여러분의 실력과 능력이 아니라

It is not your appearance or your skills and abilities.

예수님께서 완성하시겠다라고 약속해 주셨기 때문에

Because Jesus promised that He would complete it.

우리가 이 길 끝까지 걸어갈 수 있을 줄 믿습니다

I believe we can walk to the end of this road.

여러분이 예수님 사랑합니다라는 이 고백 붙들고 실패했을 때마다 넘어졌을 때마다

Whenever you stumble or fail, hold on to the confession that you love Jesus.

다시 회복할 수 있는 우리 청년들 다 되기를 다시 한 번 더 예수님의 이름으로 소망합니다

I hope all of our youth can recover again, once again in the name of Jesus.

예수님의 이름으로 축원합니다 아멘
