지난 에피소드를 올리고 나서 벌써 2주 정도가 지났네요.

It's been about two weeks since I posted the last episode.

저도 몰랐는데 매년 여름을 타는지 여름만 되면 컨디션 난조가 심해지는 것 같아요.

I didn't know either, but I think I seem to have worse condition every summer, as if I'm affected by the summer.

일본어에는 여름에 몸이 나른해지며 식욕도 없고 쉽게 피곤함을 느끼며 불면증까지 생기는 증상을 나타내는 단어가 있습니다.

In Japanese, there is a word that describes the symptoms of feeling languid in the summer, lacking appetite, easily feeling tired, and even experiencing insomnia.

나트바떼라고 하는데요.

It's called natbatt.

여름이라는 의미의 나트, 너무 지친 나머지 움직일 수 없게 된다는 의미의 동사입니다.

"Nat," meaning summer, is a verb that signifies being so exhausted that one cannot move.

나트바떼라고 구성된 단어입니다.

It is a word composed of "natbate."

한국어로 하면 여름을 타다 또는 더위를 먹다 라고 할 수 있겠고요.

In Korean, it can be expressed as "to be affected by summer" or "to suffer from the heat."

영어로 할 경우 suffer from summer heat, this summer heat makes me feel 등으로 표현할 수 있을 것 같습니다.

If expressed in English, it could be said as "suffer from summer heat" or "this summer heat makes me feel..."

서울의 이번 주 날씨는 그렇게 덥지는 않지만 일주일 내내 비가 온다고 하는데요.

The weather in Seoul this week isn't that hot, but they say it will rain throughout the entire week.

습하고 더운 날씨에 에어컨까지 틀게 되다 보니 실내외 온도차로 인해 면역력이 떨어지는 경우도 많다고 해요.

It is said that many people experience a decrease in immunity due to the temperature difference between indoors and outdoors, as we end up turning on the air conditioning in the humid and hot weather.

Today's topic is the era of machine translation and the role of translators.

제가 번역가로 일하기 시작한 건 2019년 여름부터입니다.

I started working as a translator in the summer of 2019.

그 전에 한 회사에서 인하우스 통번역사로 2년간 일한 경험은 있었지만

Before that, I had 2 years of experience working as an in-house translator at a company.

번역 에이전시에 소속되어 일하게 된 것은 그때가 처음이었어요.

It was my first time working as part of a translation agency.

어느덧 4년이라는 시간이 흘렀네요.

어떤 언어로 쓰인 글을 다른 언어로 전달한다는 의미의 번역.

Translation means conveying text written in one language into another language.

번역업계에서는 전자의 언어를 원어 또는 출발어,

In the translation industry, the former language is referred to as the source language or the original language.

후자의 언어를 번역어 또는 도착어라고 부릅니다.

The latter language is referred to as the target language or delivery language.

영어로는 각각 Source Language, Target Language라고 해요.

In English, they are called Source Language and Target Language, respectively.

최근에 채트 GPT 등 생성형 AI의 등장에 따라

I don't think it will be able to completely replace it.

기계 번역의 품질은 전보다 향상하고 지속적으로 발전하고 있지만
