그래서 일단 앉아봤어요.

So I tried sitting down for a moment.

제가 말했던 2화까지 찍는다고

I said I'd film up to episode 2.

네 그래서 하게 됐고요.

As those who subscribe to my Instagram know,

제가 연말에 다이어리 소개를 하겠다고 약간 저질러놓고

I said I would introduce a diary at the end of the year and kind of let it slip.

일주일 동안 매일 하나씩 다이어리를 소개를 하겠다고

I said I would introduce a diary every day for a week.

일단 저질러놓고 이틀을 올리고

First, I'll just go ahead and do it, and then I'll post it in two days.

그래서 사실 이것도 변명을 좀 하자면

제가 연말에 조금 바빠가지고

글을 쓸 수 있는 다이어리를 좀

A diary that allows you to write.

찾고 있는 상황이었는데

I was in a situation where I was looking for something.

얘가 구성이 되게 깔끔해요 그냥.

It's just that this one's composition is very neat.

그리고 저는 사실

And I actually

다이어리를 쓸 때 무지에는 못 쓰는 성격이거든요.

I have a personality that makes it impossible for me to use a plain notebook when writing a diary.

줄이 되게 잘 어긋나서

The lines are really misaligned.

제가 글씨를 막 엄청 예쁘게 쓰는 편도 아니고 이래서

I'm not someone who writes really beautifully, so...

그리고 제가 글씨를 쓰면은

And when I write letters,

이렇게 옆으로 쭉쭉 줄을 맞춰서

Align the lines like this, extending sideways.

그러니까 무지에서 줄을 맞춰서 글씨를 못 써요.

So, I can't write letters in alignment from the beginning.

그런 맥락에서 그냥 쓰기 좋겠다라고 생각이 들었고

실제로 지금 일주일 정도 써봤잖아요.

나쁘지 않아요.

It's not bad.

너무 꼼꼼하게 매일매일 잘 쓰셨네요.

네 일단은 작심 4일까지는 성공을 했어요.

제가 첫날 둘째 날은 다이얼을 못 써가지고

I couldn't use the dial on the first and second day.

그래서 잘 쓰고 있고

So I'm using it well.

뭐 펜도 괜찮고

A pen is fine too.

볼펜으로 썼을 때는 살짝 비침이 있긴 한데

When written with a ballpoint pen, there is a slight translucency.

막 거슬리는 정도는 아니거든요.

It's not really annoying or anything.

개인적으로 느꼈을 때는

Personally, when I felt it,

근데 개인적으로는 연필 샵도 좋고

But personally, I think pencil shops are nice too.

샤프가 되게 질감이 좋아요.

The sharpener has a really nice texture.

썼을 때 사각사각 느낌도 들고

It feels crunchy when I write with it.

이렇게 막 안 써지는 느낌도 아니고

It doesn't feel like it's just not coming out like this.

너무 막 미끄러지는 느낌도 아니고

It doesn't feel too slippery either.

적당히 되게 기분 좋게 써지는 느낌?

It feels like it's written in a pleasantly moderate way?

그래서 제가 이때까지 처음에 이제 다이어리 게시를 하고는

계속 볼펜 젤펜을 쓰다가

After continuously using a ballpoint pen and gel pen

그저께 볼펜을 쓰고

The day before yesterday, I used a pen.

어제는 침대에 마체 그 샤프 밖에 없어가지고

Yesterday, there was only that sharp pencil in my bed.

샤프를 딱 썼는데

I just used the Sharp pencil.

딱 샤프를 썼는데 너무 느낌이 좋은 거예요.

I just used the sharp pencil, and it feels really great.

글씨가 너무 잘 써져가지고

The handwriting is so well done.

되게 기분이 좋더라고요.

그래서 뭐 아무튼 그랬답니다.

So, anyway, that's what happened.

완년필은 제가 써보진 않았는데

I haven't tried using a fountain pen yet.

일단은 볼펜이랑 젤펜을 썼을 때는 나쁘진 않다.

For now, it's not bad when using a ballpoint pen and a gel pen.

비침도 나쁘지 않다.

The transparency is not bad either.

근데 뭔가 진짜 약간 줄글로

But somehow, it feels like it's really just a bit of a narrative.

좀 추천을 드리고 싶어요.

I would like to make a recommendation.

그 겉면에 금박으로 이렇게 연도 써져 있는 게 되게 심플하고

The gold foil print of the year on the surface is very simple.

맞아요. 그리고 이 이 패브릭 느낌이 되게 엄청 고급스러웠고

That's right. And this fabric feels really luxurious.

그냥 어디 올려놔도 되게 예뻐요. 다이어리가

You can just put it anywhere, it looks really pretty. The diary.

너무 예뻐.

So pretty.

그리고 사이즈도 딱 뭔가 손바닥 사이즈여가지고 부담스럽지가 않고

And the size is just right, palm-sized, so it’s not overwhelming.

그 데일리 다이어리 치고도 약간 뭔가

It's a bit different for a daily diary.

안 두꺼워

It's not thick.

맞아. 두꺼운 느낌이 없어.

That's right. It doesn't have a thick feel.

그래서 저는 그게 되게 좋더라고요.

엄청 투박한 그런 느낌보다는 되게 세련돼서

보통 그 마라톤에서 달리기 시간.

Usually the running time in that marathon.

그 페이스를 맞춰주려고 같이 뛰는 사람을 페이스메이커라고 하거든요.

The person who runs with you to match your pace is called a pacemaker.

아마 거기서 따온 것 같은데.

얘가 되게 좋은 게 뭐냐면.

그러니까 월간으로 한 달씩 나눠져 있는 게 아니라.

그 월요일부터 일요일까지 일주일로 해서 그 캘린더가 그냥 쭉 이어져 있어요.

The calendar just continues from that Monday to Sunday for a week.

1월 2월 3월.

January, February, March.

그래서 이게 달별로 구분이 안 돼 있으니까.

So this is not categorized by month.

그냥 그리고 이게 두 페이지에 보통 두 달 정도가 들어가거든요.

Just, and this usually takes about two months for two pages.

그러면은 그 두 달치에.

Then, concerning those two months.

나의 페이스를 볼 수 있는 거야.

그래서 저는 작년에 쓸 때는 그때 그때 있었던 좀 중요한 일들을 조금 체크를 해뒀어요.

So last year when I was writing, I noted down some important events that occurred at that time.

그래서 뭐 이날 독서 모임이 있었고 이날 누구 만났고 어떤 일이 있었고.

So, there was a reading group on that day, and I met someone that day and there were some events that happened.

이런 것들을 좀 정리를 해두면은 되게 폭주하는 게 딱 보여요.

If you organize things like this a bit, you can clearly see the flood of things happening.

아 이때 진짜 바쁘게 뭔가 돌아가고 있구나 이런 게 딱 보여요.

Ah, at this time, I can really see that a lot is going on busily.

그러면 거기서 아 조금 이렇게 좀 스탑해야겠다라는 게 조금 캐치가 되더라고요.

Then I kind of caught on that I needed to stop there for a moment.

그래서 그런 인사이트가 되게 잘 잡혀가지고.

So I was able to grasp those insights very well.

되게 유용하게 잘 썼어요.

I found it very useful and used it well.

그래서 올해도 계속 쓸 생각이고.

So I'm thinking of continuing to use it this year as well.

올해는 지금 이거를 플래너로 쓸지 아니면 작년처럼 있었던 일을 기록하는 용도로 쓸지는 사실 고민이긴 한데.

This year, I'm honestly debating whether to use this as a planner or for recording things like I did last year.

아마 뭐 플래너로 쓰면은 뭐 샤프로 썼다가 그 위에다 뭐 볼펜으로 지우고 다시 쓸 것 같기도 하고.

I think if I use it as a planner, I might write with a pencil, then erase it with a pen and write again.

저는 아마 다이어리 용도로 쓸 것 같아요.

I will probably use it for diary purposes.

작년이랑 비슷하게.

이게 진짜 구성이 되게 괜찮고.

This really has a nice composition.

왜냐면 제가 작년 이제 연말 딱 30일 31일 될 때 본가 가서 가장 시간 많이 들여서 했던 게 뭐냐면.

Because what I spent the most time doing when I went back home at the end of last year, on the 30th and 31st, was this.

1년 동안 얘기를 다 읽었어요.

I read all the stories over the course of a year.

이제 특히 먼슬리를 좀 비워진 것도 다 채우면서 사진 보면서 다 채우고.

Now, especially while filling in the emptiness of my monthlies, I'm filling everything in by looking at photos.

데일리도 좀 빈 것 중에 채울 수 있는 것들은 채웁니다.

I will fill in the things that can be filled among the empty spots in the daily.

채우면서 해보니까 뭔가 저의 그게 보이는 거예요.

As I tried to fill it in, I could see something of mine.

높낮이가 보이는 거예요.

You can see the height and depth.

이게 저 나름의 그런 그게 있더라고요.

I have my own way of doing things, you know.

그런 뭐라 해야 되죠.

There really is a pattern.

그래서 텐션이 엄청 좋았다가 그게 일주일 간격이기도 하고.

So the tension was really good, but it happens at one-week intervals.

아니면은 뭔가 일이 있을 때를 기점으로 왔다 갔다 하는 게 보이는데.

Otherwise, it seems like there's back and forth going on when something happens.

살아갈 때는 모르다가 이제 내가 너무 과부하하게 과하게 움직였으면은 그다음에 당연히 힘이 빠지는 게 당연한데 당신은 모르는 거죠.

When you're living, you don't realize, but if I've moved too much in overload, then of course it's natural that I would feel drained, but you don’t understand that.

그래서 그런 거 보면서.

So, while watching that.

아 내가 이렇게 힘 관리 좀 잘해야겠다.

그리고 앞에 이제 월간 부분에는 이제 마이너스 나는 날 좀 심하게 이제 마이너스 나는 날 이런 거를 예 조금 이제 스티커로 이제 좀 심하게 쓴 날은 빨간색 뭐 적당히 나쁘지 않은 지출 뭔가 점심값 같은 거는 저희 회사는 점심을 주질 않아가지고 사먹어야 되거든요.

프리랜서다 보니까

근데 또 연남동에서 저희 집이 섬수라서 되게 멀거든요.

But our house in Yeonnam-dong is really far because it's in Seongsu.

거의 1시간 반, 1시간에서 1시간 반이 걸리는데

It takes almost an hour and a half, from one hour to one and a half hours.

집에 왔는데 너무 배가 고픈 거예요.

I came home and I was so hungry.

그때가 아마 도착했을 때 3시였었고

It was probably 3 o'clock when we arrived at that time.

갔다가 홍대에서 이제 지나서 우리 집 도착을 하니까

I went and now that I've passed Hongdae and arrived at my house.

6시가 넘어, 6시 반 이랬었는데

생각해보니까 그 사이에 아무것도 안 먹었잖아요.

그렇게 그런 책갈피를 꽂는 활동이 되게 중요한데
