오늘 우리에게 주신 하나님의 말씀은 구약성경 예레미야 50장 1절에서 10절까지의 말씀입니다.

Today's message from God given to us is from the Old Testament, Jeremiah chapter 50, verses 1 to 10.

말씀을 봉독하겠습니다.

I will read the remarks.

우상들은 부스러진다 하라.

Let the idols be shattered.

너희는 오라. 잊을 수 없는 영원한 언약으로 여호와와 연합하라 하리라.

Come, you will unite with Jehovah in an unforgettable eternal covenant.

내 백성은 잃어버린 양대로다.

My people are like lost sheep.

그 목자들이 그들을 격길로 가게 하여 산으로 돌이키게 하였으므로 그들이 산에서 언덕으로 돌아다니며 쉴 곳을 잊었도다.

The shepherds led them astray, causing them to turn back to the mountains, so they wandered around the hills in the mountains, forgetting their resting place.

그들을 만나는 자들은 그들을 삼키며 그의 대적은 말하기를 그들이 여호와 곧 의로운 처소시며 그의 조상들의 소망이신 여호와께 범죄하였음인즉 우리는 무죄하다 하였다.

Those who meet them devour them, and their adversaries say that they have sinned against the Lord, who is the righteous dwelling place and the hope of their ancestors, claiming that we are innocent.

너희는 바벨론 가운데서 도망하라. 갈대야 사람의 땅에서 나오라. 양대에 앞서가는 수점소 같이하라.

Flee from Babylon. Go out from the land of the Chaldeans. Be like the he-goats that lead the flock.

보라. 내가 큰 민족의 무리를 북쪽에서 올라오게 하여 바벨론을 대항하게 하리니 그들이 대열을 벌이고 쳐서 정복할 것이라.

Behold, I will raise up a great nation from the north and they shall come against Babylon; they will form ranks and attack to conquer it.

그들의 화살은 노련한 용사의 화살 같아서 허공을 치지 아니하리라.

Their arrows are like those of a seasoned warrior, striking true and not missing the mark.

갈대야가 약탈을 당할 것이라. 그를 약탈하는 자마다 만족하리라.

The reeds will be plundered. All who plunder him will be satisfied.

여호와의 말씀이니라.

This is the word of the Lord.

아멘.

오늘 본문은 바벨론에 대한 심판의 말씀입니다.

Today's text is a word of judgment against Babylon.

열방에 대한 예언은 그들을 심판했던 바벨론에 대한 심판으로 마무리됩니다.

The prophecy about the nations concludes with judgment against Babylon, which judged them.

바벨론에 대한 말씀을 함께 살펴보겠습니다.

Let's take a look at the words regarding Babylon.

예리미야 당시 바벨론은 고대 근동지역의 패권을 획득하게 됩니다.

At the time of Jeremiah, Babylon gained hegemony in the ancient Near East.

그들은 자신들의 승리를 그들 신의 승리로 여겼습니다.

They regarded their victory as a victory for their gods.

그래서 본문 2절에 보면 바벨론이 섬겼던 벨과

So in verse 2 of the text, it mentions the god Bel that Babylon served.

무로닭이 나옵니다.

Muro chicken is served.

벨과 무로닭은 그들의 성기는 신이었고

Bell and the Murodalk were their gods.

이 중에 무로닭은 마루득이라고도 불렀습니다.

Among these, the Murom chicken was also called Marudeuk.

바벨론은 주변 민족을 쳐서 승리했고 제국을 이루었습니다.

Babylon defeated surrounding nations and established an empire.

그들의 신의 승리로 여겼고 그들의 만신전에는 다른 민족에서 탈취한 이방신전의 기물로 채웠습니다.

They regarded it as a victory for their god and filled their temple with objects looted from foreign deities of other nations.

그리고 해마다 신년 축제가 되면 그들의 우상을 들고 행진했습니다.

And every year during the New Year festival, they marched while holding their idols.

그들의 신 무로닭을 자랑했던 것입니다.

They were boasting about their god Muroidak.

그런데 하나님께서는 그들의 신상의 수치를 당하고 우상은 부스러질 것을 말씀하십니다.

However, God speaks of their shame in their idols, and the idols will be shattered.

하나님께서는 바벨론을 심판의 도구로 사용하셨습니다.

God used Babylon as an instrument of judgment.

그러나 저들은 자기의 승리로 여겼고 자기 신들의 승리로 여겼습니다.

However, they regarded it as their victory and the victory of their gods.

하나님의 손에 쓰이고 있었지만 이를 알지 못했습니다.

I was being used by God's hand, but I did not know this.

그러므로 이들은 한순간에 멸망하게 됩니다.

Therefore, they will be destroyed in an instant.

바벨론의 최후의 날을 살펴오면 바벨론은 마루득을 섬겼습니다.

In examining the final days of Babylon, Babylon served Marduk.

바벨론의 마지막 왕이었던 나보니 조스는 마루득이 아닌 다른 신을 섬겼습니다.

Nabonidus, the last king of Babylon, worshiped a god other than Marduk.

그래서 그는 마루득 숭배의 중심지인 수도 바벨론을 벗어나 10년간 외부로 다녔습니다.

So he left the capital Babylon, the center of worship for Marduk, and traveled outside for ten years.

그리고 그의 아들 베일사살을 대리자로 세웠습니다.

And he appointed his son Belshazzar as his representative.

그래서 다니엘서 5장을 보면 바벨론 최후의 날이 묘사될 때 베일사살이 다니엘을 셋째 치루자로 세우는 장면이 나옵니다.

In Daniel chapter 5, when the final day of Babylon is described, there is a scene where Belshazzar appoints Daniel as the third ruler.

이는 그의 아버지가 첫 번째 치리자고,

This is because his father is the first ruler,

본인이 두 번째 치리자이기 때문에 다니엘을 셋째 치리자로 세우겠다는 것입니다.

Since I am the second ruler, I will appoint Daniel as the third ruler.

왕실은 마루득이 아닌 다른 신을 숭배했고 그래서 갈등이 생기기 시작합니다.

The royal family worshipped a different god instead of Maruduk, and thus conflicts began to arise.

페르시아의 군대가 도달했을 때 마루득을 섬기던 자들이 나보니 조스를 배신하고 또 페르시아의 군대에 투항을 하게 됩니다.

When the Persian army arrived, those serving Maruduk betrayed Nabonidus and surrendered to the Persian army.

그래서 바벨론의 도시들이 저항 없이 넘어가게 되고 수도 바벨론도 순식간에 무너지게 되었습니다.

As a result, the cities of Babylon fell without resistance, and the capital, Babylon, collapsed in an instant.

나보니 왕도 채폐하였습니다.

I have also sealed the king.

제국이 하루아침에 넘어가게 되었습니다.

The empire fell overnight.

경고하던 제국이 하루아침에 항복하여 다른 세상이 되었습니다.

The empire that was issuing warnings surrendered overnight, and it became a different world.

이처럼 세상의 나라들은 순식간에 무너질 수 있습니다.

Countries in the world can collapse in an instant like this.

아시아 전역을 장악하고 태평양을 넘보던 일본제국이 순식간에 무너졌습니다.

The Japanese Empire, which had dominated across Asia and eyed the Pacific, collapsed in an instant.

그 당시 항공모함을 비롯해 각종 무기를 쏟아냈지만 망하는 건 순식간이었습니다.

At that time, various weapons including aircraft carriers were poured out, but destruction happened in an instant.

지난 세기 세계 절반을 차지했던 공산주의는,

Communism, which occupied half of the world in the last century,

소련이 그렇게 무너질 줄 누가 알았겠습니까?

Who would have thought that the Soviet Union would collapse like that?

독일을 가르던 베를린 장벽도 순식간에 무너졌습니다.

The Berlin Wall, which divided Germany, also fell in an instant.

그렇게 무너질 때까지 그것을 예측한 사람은 많지 않았습니다.

Not many people predicted it would collapse like that.

바벨론이 멸망하면서 잡혀간 자들은 고향으로 돌아가게 됩니다.

As Babylon fell, those who were captured returned to their homeland.

페르시아는 관용적인 정책을 폈고 포로들은 돌아가게 되었습니다.

Persia implemented a tolerant policy and the prisoners were allowed to return home.

그렇게 유대인들도 돌아오게 될 것입니다.

In that way, the Jews will also come back.

이처럼 유대인들도 돌아오게 될 것입니다.

In this way, the Jews will also return.

이처럼 주님께서는 크고 작은 나라든 다스리는 분입니다.

In this way, the Lord rules over both great and small nations.

하나님의 다스림 앞에 제국이라 할지라도 견딜 수 없습니다.

Even an empire cannot withstand the dominion of God.

비록 그 백성은 제국과 맞설 수 없는 연약한 자라 할지라도

Even though the people may be weak and unable to confront the empire.

하나님께서는 이 땅의 제국을 쓰러뜨리는 분이십니다.

God is the one who brings down the empires of this earth.

그리고 그분의 손길로 자기 백성을 구해 주시고 언약을 맺게 하십니다.

And with His touch, He saves His people and makes a covenant with them.

이제 내일이면 광복절입니다.

Tomorrow is Liberation Day.

하나님께서 열방을 다스리시고,

God reigns over the nations,

우리 민족에게 구원을 허락하신 날입니다.

It is the day that salvation has been granted to our people.

우리는 역사를 주관하신 하나님을 바라보아야 합니다.

We must look to God, who governs history.

지금 이 시대가 영원한 것 같아도 그러나 하나님 앞에 언제 무너져 내릴지 알 수 없습니다.

Although this age seems eternal, we cannot know when it will collapse before God.

그렇게 하나님께서는 오늘의 역사도 인도하여 주십니다.

Thus, God guides today's history as well.

주관하실 것입니다.

You will oversee it.

그러므로 하나님의 역사를 바라보는 저와 여러분이 되길 주님의 이름으로 주관합니다.

Therefore, I urge you all to be those who look upon God's work in the name of the Lord.

기도하겠습니다.

I will pray.

하나님 아버지, 오늘 하루도 주님을 의지하는 자 되게 하여 주옵소서.

Heavenly Father, please allow me to be someone who relies on You today.

역사 속에서 주님의 섭리를 발견하며 오늘의 세계 속에서 주님의 뜻을 깨닫게 하여 주옵소서.

May we discover the Lord's providence in history and understand His will in today's world.

온 세계와 열방 중에 주님께서 홀로 영광 받으시고 우리는 오직 주님만 섬기는 백성 되게 하여 주옵소서.

May the Lord alone be glorified among all the world and nations, and may we be a people who serve only the Lord.

이 나라와 민족을 위해 기도합니다.

I pray for this country and its people.

위정자들이 하나님을 경외하며 정직하게 소임을 감당하게 하여 주옵소서.

May the rulers fear God and fulfill their duties with integrity.

정파의 이익을 따라 움직이며 진실에 눈 감는 자들은 내려오게 하시고 진실로 이 나라와 민족을 위하는 자들이 자리에 세워지게 하여 주옵소서.

Those who move according to the interests of their political faction and turn a blind eye to the truth, may they be brought down, and may those who truly care for this country and its people be placed in their positions.

북녘의 동포들을 기억하여 주옵시고, 저들의 자유의 날, 회복의 날이 속히 오게 하여 주옵소서.

Please remember our fellow countrymen in the North, and let the day of their freedom and restoration come quickly.

캠퍼스와 지역을 위해서 기도합니다.

I pray for the campus and the community.

캠퍼스의 부흥을 허락하여 주옵소서.

Please grant the revival of the campus.

주님을 사랑하는 자들, 주님을 섬기는 자들이 연결되게 하시고 크고 작은 모임에 은혜를 더하여 주옵소서.

May those who love the Lord and serve Him be connected, and may Your grace be added to both large and small gatherings.

선교센터 그들에도 은혜를 더하여 주옵시고, 상주 수련장에도 예배를 드릴 때마다 주님의 은혜를 경험하게 하여 주옵소서.

May you grant them additional grace at the mission center, and let them experience the Lord's grace whenever they worship at the Sangju training center.

코로나가 퍼지고 있습니다. 많은 이들이 어려워하고 있습니다.

The coronavirus is spreading. Many people are having a hard time.

주님, 연약한 성도들을 지켜 주옵소서. 더 이상 퍼지지 않게 하여 주옵소서.

Lord, please protect the weak believers. Please do not let it spread any further.

병상에 있는 자들도 있습니다.

There are those who are in hospital beds.

주님께서 저들을 극렬히 하여 주옵시고, 고통을 감하여 주옵소서.

Lord, please intensely strike them and alleviate their suffering.

우리가 경험하는 인생의 한계를 넘어서게 하여 주옵소서.

Please help us to overcome the limits of the life we experience.

경제적으로 어려움 당한 자들에게 주님께서 필요한 것들을 공급하여 주옵소서.

Lord, provide the necessities for those who are struggling financially.

가정의 불화로 고통받는 자들에게 서로 용서하며 화해하게 하여 주옵소서.

Please grant those suffering from family discord the ability to forgive each other and reconcile.

태의 열매를 놓고 기도하는 가정도 있습니다.

There are families that pray with the fruit of the 태 (tae).

주님께서 아이를 허락하여 주옵소서.

May the Lord grant us a child.

멀리 나가 있는 자들을 위해서도 기도합니다.

I also pray for those who are far away.

유학으로, 취업으로, 굳은 일을 하여 주옵소서.

Through studying abroad, through employment, may I do solid work.

취업으로, 군복무로 나가 있는 자들을 기억하여 주옵소서.

Please remember those who are serving in employment and military duty.

고3 수험생들을 위해 기도합니다.

I pray for the high school seniors preparing for exams.

오늘도 그들이 공부한 것들이 헛되지 않게 하여 주옵소서.

May their studies today not be in vain.

최선을 다하게 하시고 주님의 도우심을 경험하게 하여 주옵소서.

Please help us to do our best and experience the Lord's assistance.

오늘 하루도 주님께서 은혜 내려 주옵소서.

Lord, may You grant us grace today as well.
