My least favourite language learning experience (but still an important lesson!)

제 최애 언어 경험 중 하나는 제 최애 언어 경험과 마찬가지입니다.

One of my favorite language experiences is similar to my favorite language experience.

첫 학기 대학에 입학했을 때, 첫 시험에 실패했을 때 칼큘러스에 빠졌습니다.

I fell into calculus when I failed my first exam in my first semester of college.

그래서 다음 semester에 반을 받게 되었습니다.

So I will be taking a class next semester.

또한 수업을 바꿨습니다.

I also changed the class.

경험과 역사에 따라서요.

It depends on experience and history.

지금 제가 테스트하고 있는 것보다 더 많이 썼습니다.

I used more than what I am currently testing.

그래서 영어, 글자, 그리고 글자 수업을 받았습니다.

So I took English, writing, and letter classes.

제 수업의 수학과 같은 수학을 더 잘 배우게 되었습니다.

I have learned to study mathematics better, like the mathematics in my class.

수업 시험을 받았을 때, 모든 것이 다 친숙한 것이었습니다.

When I took the class exam, everything felt familiar.

하지만 각 학기에서 제가 알고 있는 것들을 봤는데, 항상 제대로 하는 것들을 잊어버렸습니다.

But every semester, I realized that I always forgot to do the things I knew how to do properly.

수업을 운영하는 교수는 학생과 함께 시간을 보내고,

The professor who runs the class spends time with the students,

우리에게 어려움을 겪는 것을 도와줬습니다.

It helped us to go through difficulties.

솔직히 말이죠.

To be honest.

저는 좀 아쉬웠습니다.

I was a bit disappointed.

저는 학생이 된 것이 아니기 때문에.

Because I have not become a student.

저는 학생들의 대답을 잘 모르고,

I don't know the students' answers well,

그냥 내가 말했을 때의 생각에 집중했고, 배웠습니다.

I just focused on the thoughts I had when I spoke and learned.

저는 그 수업에 도움을 받았고,

I received help in that class,

그 수업에 도움을 받았지만,

I received help in that class, but

그 수업에 도움을 받았다고 생각했습니다.

I thought I received help from that class.

제가 제 자신에게 말했죠.

I told myself.

에릭, 당신은 이 지역에서 부담감이 있습니다.

Eric, you have some pressure in this area.

그 수업을 바꾸고, 수업을 도와주십시오.

Change the class and please help with the class.

And when I received a clarification on that decision,

What I received in school for three years is

그 과정에서 많이 기쁘게 되었다고 생각했습니다.

I thought I became very happy during that process.

I hope that as a teacher I can guide my students in a way that both gives them confidence to take on the next stages of a learning process but also provides them the reflective skills to say, I think my skills are lacking in this area. I should take the action required to improve and admit that that is okay.
