John Steinbeck, the American author who won the Nobel Prize in Literature,

에덴의 동쪽이라는 소설을 지었는데요

I wrote a novel called East of Eden.

이 소설이 나중에 영화로 제작이 돼서

This novel will later be adapted into a movie.

제임스 디인이 주인공으로 등장하는 그런 영화가 있기도 했습니다

There was indeed a movie featuring James Dean as the main character.

제가 검색을 해보니까 2008년에 한국 방송에서도

I searched and found that it was also on Korean broadcasts in 2008.

같은 제목의 드라마를 방영했고

A drama with the same title was aired.

이런 여러 경로를 통해서 에덴 동산이라는 개념에 대하여

Through various pathways, the concept of the Garden of Eden.

어렴풋이 알고 계시는 분들이 굉장히 많지만

Many people have a faint idea.

실제로 성경에 소개되어 있는 이 에덴에 대한 말씀을

Actually, the words about this Eden mentioned in the Bible.

직접 읽어보시고 접해보신 분들은 그렇게 많지 않습니다

There aren't many people who have actually read it and encountered it themselves.

그래서 오늘 이 시간에 저와 함께 이 성경에 소개된 내용을

우리들에게 기독교 신앙의 본질에 대해서 과연 무엇을 가르쳐주고 있는지

What is it that teaches us about the essence of the Christian faith?

잠시 돌아보는 그런 시간을 가져보도록 하려고 하는 것입니다

에덴이라는 이 단어는 기쁨을 안겨주는 것이라는 의미를 가지고 있습니다

The word "Eden" means something that brings joy.

Delight 이렇게 번역을 할 수가 있겠는데요

Delight can be translated like this.

이름 그대로 창세기 2장에서 에덴은

As the name suggests, Eden in Genesis 2 is...

인간을 아끼고 사랑하신 하나님께서

God, who cherishes and loves humanity

인간의 행복과 즐거움을 위해서 마련한 아주 특별한 곳이라고

It's a very special place created for human happiness and joy.

이렇게 강조해서 우리에게 설명을 해주고 있습니다

They are explaining this to us with such emphasis.

이 본문에 보시면 성경을 가지고 계시니까

You have the Bible with you in this text.

성경을 펴서 이 내용을 확인하시면서 보셨으면 좋겠는데

I hope you take a look at this content while opening the Bible.

이 8절에 보시면

If you look at this verse 8,

여호와 하나님이 동방에 에덴의 동산을 창설하시고

The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden.

그 지으신 사람을 거기에 둔신이라

He is the one who placed that creation there.

이렇게 한 부분을 한번 보십시오

Please take a look at this part.

천지를 창조하신 하나님께서

God who created heaven and earth

천지를 다하시고

"Having encompassed heaven and earth"

천지를 다 만드신 후에

After creating the heavens and the earth.

아담을 위해서 특별히 동방에 에덴 동산을 창설하셨다

He specially created the Garden of Eden in the East for Adam.

이렇게 되어 있습니다

It is like this.

또 이 동산 밖의 환경을 설명하는 이 5절과 6절을 주목해 보십시오

"Also, pay attention to verses 5 and 6, which describe the environment outside this garden."

하나님께서 아직 땅에 비를 내리지 아니하셨고

God has not yet caused rain to fall on the earth.

땅을 갈 사람이 없었기 때문에

Because there was no one to till the land.

들에는 초목이 아직 없었고

There was still no vegetation in the fields.

밭에는 채소가 나지 아니하였다

Vegetables did not grow in the field.

또 6절에 보십시오

Also, look at verse 6.

안개만 땅에서 올라와 온 지면을 적셨다라

Only the mist rose from the ground and moistened the entire surface.

이렇게 설명하면서

아직 인간이 살기에 적합하지 않은

Not yet suitable for humans to live in.

그런 것으로 설명이 되어 있습니다

그런데 하나님께서 아담을 지으신 후에

But after God created Adam,

이 아담이 인간다운 아주 행복하고

This Adam is very happy and human-like.

또 만족스러운 이런 삶을 살 수 있도록 하시기 위해서

To ensure that we can live such a satisfying life.

아주 특별하게 이 에덴이라는 곳을

This place called Eden is very special.

만들어 놓으셨다는 것입니다

It means that you have made it.

그 에덴이 어떤 곳으로 묘사가 되고 있습니까?

How is that Eden being described?

9절에 보십시오

Look at verse 9.

여호와 하나님이 그 땅에서

The Lord God in that land

즉 에덴을 말하는 것인데

In other words, it is referring to Eden.

보기에 아름답고 먹기에 좋은 나무가 나게 하시니

You make trees that are beautiful to look at and good to eat.

굉장히 달고 맛있는

Very sweet and delicious.

그런 먹기 좋은 열매들이 풍성하게 맺혀있는

Such delicious fruits are abundantly borne.

그런 곳을 말하는 것입니다

I'm referring to a place like that.

또 10절 이하의 내용을 주목해 보십시오

그래서 셋째 강의 이름이

So the name of the third lecture is

티그리스 강이고

It's the Tigris River.

아수르 동쪽에서 흘렀으며

넷째 강은 유브라데더라 이렇게 하면서

"The fourth river is the Euphrates, saying this."

지금으로 따지면

그 어디인가에 하나님께서

이 에덴이라는 곳을 창조하셔서

거기에 인간이 살 수 있는

아주 이상적인

아주 비옥한

very fertile

물이 넘쳐 흐르는 강이 구비쳐 흐르며

The river overflowing with water winds and flows.

순금은 물론 12장에 등장하는

Of course, pure gold appears in the 12 chapters.

배경이

베델리엄과 호마나와 같은

Like bdellium and homana.

아주 희귀한 보석들이 넘쳐나는 이런 곳으로

설명이 되어 있다는 것입니다

인간을 위하여

For humanity.

인간의 안녕과 행복을 위해서

For the well-being and happiness of humanity.

만들어 놓으셨다고

오늘의 교회에서

오늘 본문 말씀이 우리에게 설명해 줍니다

Today's scripture explains to us.

성경을 잘 읽어보지 않으셨기 때문에

Because you haven't read the Bible well.

그냥 하나님이라는 분에 대해서

Just about a person called God.

대충 이렇게 짐작해서 알고 계시는 분들은

Those who have a rough idea like this

하나님은 아주 엄격하고

God is very strict and

아주 고약한

Very nasty.

인간의 삶의 아주 거추장스러운 존재로

As a very cumbersome existence in human life.

인지하시는 분들을 종종 만나게 됩니다

I often meet people who are aware.

그런데 실제로 성경을 읽어보게 되면

However, when you actually read the Bible...

그 속에서 우리는 전혀

In that, we are completely.

다른 하나님

Another God

인간과

Human and

사랑과 인자가 풍성하신

Abundant in love and mercy.

정말 인간을 사랑하시고

You truly love humanity.

귀하게 여기시는 인간에게

To the precious human you value.

가장 좋은 것을

The best thing.

주기 원하시는 이런 하나님을

The God that you wish to have.

발견하게 되는 것입니다

It will be discovered.

하나님을 내가 인격적으로 만난다는 것이

Meeting God personally.

바로 이런 걸 말하는 것입니다

This is exactly what I'm talking about.

얼마나 하나님께서

How much God has

우리에게 좋은 것을 주기 원하시는

You wish to give us good things.

하나님이신지를 내가 개인적으로

Whether He is God, personally, I...

알고 그래서 그분을 신뢰하고

I know, so I trust that person.

그분을 의지하는 것이

Relying on that person

그만큼 가치가 있다는 것을

That it is worth that much.

깨닫고 알게 되는 이것

This realization and understanding.

이것을 믿음을 갖는다고

To believe in this.

얘기하는 것입니다

It is talking.

그런데 여기서 중요한 결론을

그 안에 머물러 있을 때에

누릴 수 있다고 가르쳐준다는 뜻입니다

It means that it teaches you that you can enjoy it.

이게 아주 중요한 부분입니다

인간으로서 누릴 수 있는

As a human, the things one can enjoy.

가장 큰 행복과 기쁨

The greatest happiness and joy.

이것은

하나님께서 마련해 놓으신

Prepared by God.

그 울타리 안으로 들어가는

Entering inside that fence.

그래서 그 안에서

하나님과 교제하는

Fellowship with God.

인격적인 관계를 갖는

To have a personal relationship.

하나님을 신뢰하고

Trust in God

하나님을 의지할 만한 분이라고

He is someone worthy of relying on God.

인정하는

Acknowledging

이런 상태에 있을 때에

When in this state

비로소 인간이

Finally, a human.

참된 행복과

True happiness and

안녕을 누릴 수 있다고

You can enjoy peace.

창세기 2장이 우리에게 가르쳐주고 있다는 것입니다

What Genesis chapter 2 teaches us is this.

마치 하나님께서 흙으로

사람을 지으셨다 하는 이 장면은요

마치 그런 장면을 연상하게 한다는 것입니다

It evokes such a scene.

하나님께서 정말 섬세하게

God is really delicate.

아!

Ah!

아주 정교하게 정성을 다해서

With great precision and care.

조각품을 만들어내듯이

As if creating a sculpture.

인간을 지으셨다고

You said you created humans.

설명하고 있다는 것입니다

하나님께서 인간을 제외한

God, except for humans.

그 어떤 생명체에도

To any living being.

특별히 그 코에 자신의 생기를

Especially to his nose, his vitality.

불어넣으셨다고 말하지 않았던 것입니다

You didn't say that you breathed it in.

인간이 가지고 있는 이 생명은

The life that humans possess is

다른 짐승의 생명과 다르게

Unlike the life of other beasts.

하나님께서 특별히 부여하신 선물이라는 것을

It is a gift specially bestowed by God.

이 주장을 아무렇지 않게 하게 해서

To make this claim nonchalantly.

존중하고 있는 것이

제게는 더 어처구니 없이 보인다는 것입니다

It seems even more absurd to me.

일단 우리 정신세계로부터

First, from our spiritual world.

하나님을 몰아내고 나면

After driving away God

인간의 마음은 온갖 마음을

The human mind encompasses all kinds of thoughts.

호망한 것으로 채워지게 되어 있다는

It is destined to be filled with something misguided.

성경의 말씀이 틀리지 않다는 것을

That the words of the Bible are not wrong.

이런 현상을 보면

When I see this phenomenon

분명하게 확인할 수 있다는 것입니다

It means that it can be clearly confirmed.

하나님께서 인간에게 생명을

God gives life to humans.

아주 특별한 생명을 주셨다는

You have given a very special life.

그래서 인간으로 하여금

So that humans can

생명체가 됐을 뿐만이 아니라

Not only did it become a living being

하나님께로부터 오는 생기를 받은

Received the vitality from God.

아주 특별한 존재라는

이 성경의 가르침이듯이

우리가 하나님 앞에 얼마나 귀한 존재인가

How precious we are in the eyes of God.

하나님께서 우리를 얼마나 귀하게 여기셨는가

How precious God regards us.

우리가 얼마나 영광과 존기로

How much glory and honor we have.

멸류관을 썼다는

I wore a crown.

이 시편 기자의 말씀처럼

Like the words of this psalmist.

이 세상에서 얼마나 특별한 존재로

How special a being you are in this world.

하나님께서 우리를 창조하셨는지를

Whether God created us

말씀하고 있다는 것입니다

It means that you are speaking.

여러분 인간으로 태어난 것이

Being born as a human, everyone,

얼마나 다행입니까

How fortunate it is!

하는 이 부분이 등장합니다

When I talk to many people,

믿지 않는 분들과 대화를 나눠보면

If you have conversations with those who don't believe,

이 부분에 대해서

About this part.

굉장히 이렇게 열정적으로

Very passionately like this.

하나님께서

God

하나님에 대한 이 공격의 어떤 그 이유로

For some reason regarding this attack on God

하나님을 비난할 수밖에 없는

Unable to do anything but blame God.

그 근거로 이렇게 여기시는 분들

Those who think like this based on that evidence.

많이 만나게 되는데

You will meet a lot.

왜 하나님께서

Why God

이렇게 쓸데없는 거를 만들어 놓으시고

You've made something so pointless.

인간에게 유혹의 어떤 그 기회를 만들어 가지고

Creating some opportunity for temptation in humans.

인간으로 하여금 거기에 빠져 들어가서

For a human to become immersed in it

이 온갖 고생을 하도록 만들게 하시는가

"Do you make me go through all this suffering?"

하나님은 정말 형편없는

God is really terrible.

아주 고집불통의

Very stubborn.

이런 존재가 아닌가 이렇게 생각하는 것입니다

I think it's a being like this.

이걸 아예 만들어 놓고

Having made this in advance

해놓지 않으셨으면

If you haven't done it.

아무런 문제가 되지 않았을 텐데

It shouldn't have been a problem at all.

왜 하나님께서 이렇게 하셔가지고

Why would God do this?

이 모든 고통을 사람들에게 주신 것인가

Did you give all this suffering to people?

이렇게 항의를 하는 것입니다

This is how to protest.

그 질문을 하시는 분들에게

인간을 향한 하나님의 특별한 섭리와

이것을 매일 눈으로 확인할 수 있도록

하나님께서 조치해 놓으셨다는 것입니다

It means that God has taken care of it.

이것을 먹지 않으면

If you don't eat this

죽지 않을 것이다

I will not die.

하나님의 생명을 영원토록 물을 것이다

I will water God's life forever.

그 생명나무가 거기 있지 않았습니까

Wasn't the tree of life there?

그렇죠

창세기 2장의 내용을

아주 이렇게 거기에 분명히 기록되어 있지 않습니다만

It's definitely not recorded there like this.

제 짐작에는

그 생명나무가 거기에 있지 않습니다만

The Tree of Life is not there.

아담과 하와가

Adam and Eve

그 생명나무에 있는 열매는

The fruit on that tree of life is

마음껏 따먹을 수 있었을 것입니다

You could have picked as much as you wanted.

얼마나 아담과 하와가

How small Adam and Eve are.

그 에덴 동산에서 풍성한 하나님의 생명을 누릴 수 있었는가

Were you able to enjoy the abundant life of God in that Eden garden?

그리고 그들이 누리는 그 생명이

And the life they enjoy

하나님과의 친밀한 교제 속에서 누리는

Enjoying in intimate fellowship with God.

얼마나 훌륭하고 얼마나 완성된

How wonderful and how complete.

그런 행복한 생명을 누릴 수 있었을 것이다

I could have lived such a happy life.

이것을 우리가 돌아보면

When we look back at this.

거기에 이렇게 선악을 알게 한 나무를 심으시고

And there He planted the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

이거를 먹지 않음으로 인하여

By not eating this,

너가 영생할 수 있을 것이다

You will be able to live forever.

하나님의 약속이

God's promise

하나님의 은혜라는 것입니다

It is the grace of God.

내가 뭐를 안다 하는 것은요

What I mean by saying I know something is...

성경에서 굉장히 중요한 의미를 가지고 있습니다

It holds a very important meaning in the Bible.

우리 개혁개정 성경에는

하나님께서 하와를 만드신다

God creates Eve.

하와를 만들어서 아담에게 부인으로 주었을 때

When God created Eve and gave her to Adam as his wife.

아담과 하와가 동침하였다는 단어를 번역해 놓았습니다만

I have translated the phrase that Adam and Eve slept together.

사실 동침이라는 단어가 아니고

In fact, it's not the word "sleeping together."

아담이 자기 아내를 알았다

Adam knew his wife.

이렇게 아주 운유적으로 표현하고 있습니다

It seems like the existence of that perception and these two things are becoming one.

이런 것을 설명하고 있는데요

I am explaining something like this.

인간이 선악을 알 수 있는 기준이 무엇이겠습니까

What would be the standard by which humans can know right from wrong?

그것이 어디로부터 오는 것이겠습니까

Where is it coming from?

이것이 하나님께로부터 오는 것입니다

This comes from God.

그런데 마치 이 선악을 알게 하는 이 나무를 먹음으로 인해서

However, by eating from this tree that gives knowledge of good and evil...

인간이 하나님과 이렇게 하나가 되는 것이 아니고

It is not that humanity becomes one with God like this.

하나님과 분리되어서

Separated from God.

마치 이 선과 악에 대한 개념

It's like this concept of good and evil.

이것을 자기 것을 소유하는

To possess this as one's own.

하나님이 더 이상 필요하지 않은

No longer in need of God.

이런 상황으로 나아가는

Moving towards such a situation.

그런 결과를 가져올 수 있는

That can lead to such results.

이 상황을 지금 말씀하고 있다는 것입니다

It means that we are talking about this situation right now.

결국에는 인간이 영생할 수 있는 그 기회

Ultimately, the opportunity for humans to attain immortality.

그 길, 그 방법

이것이 무엇이라고 설명하고 있는 것입니까?

What is this describing?

하나님과 분리되지 않는

Not separated from God.

하나님과 동떨어져서

Separated from God.

자기의 독립적인 것으로 무엇을 하려고 하는

What are you trying to do independently?

무엇을 결정하려고 하는

What are you trying to decide?

특히 옳고 그른 것에 대한 기준을

Especially the standards for right and wrong.

하나님 이외의 방법으로

In any way other than God

자기 나름대로 결정하려고 하는

Trying to make a decision in my own way.

인간의 어떤 성향 이것만 우리가 배척하게 되면

If we only reject this one human tendency...

하나님과의 올바른 관계 속에서

In a right relationship with God.

영생을 누릴 수 있는 그것으로

With that, you can enjoy eternal life.

하나님과의 올바른 관계 속에서 영생을 누릴 수 있는 그것으로

With that, one can enjoy eternal life in a right relationship with God.

창세기가 설명해주고 있다는 것입니다

주중에 어떤 분과 대화를 나누면서

While having a conversation with someone during the week,

죄의 본질에 대해서 생각해 보았습니다

죄라는 것이 무엇일까?

기본적으로 인간이 하나님께 대해서

그분이 저한테 그렇게 이야기하셨습니다

결국 성경이 이야기하는 이 죄의 본질은

Ultimately, the essence of the sin described in the Bible is

하나님에 대한 불신인 것이다

It is a lack of faith in God.

그런데 잘 생각해 보십시오

But think carefully.

인간의 반역 행위가 어디로부터 온 것이시겠습니까?

Where does the act of human rebellion come from?

하나님을 내가 신뢰할 수 없다

I cannot trust God.

왜?

Why?

왜 내가�ăn상enden İyi신의 기적임을

Why am I the miracle of the good God?

내가 하나님과의 관계 속에 남아있으면

If I remain in my relationship with God

내가 하나님과의 관계 속에 남아 있으면

If I remain in a relationship with God

어딘가 손해를 분명히 볼 것이다

Somewhere, there will definitely be a loss.

이것은 나에게 불이익을 가져다주는 그런 결과를 초래할 것이다

This will lead to a result that brings me a disadvantage.

적어도 내 눈으로 보았을 때

At least when I saw it with my own eyes.

지금까지 살아온 내 삶의 어떤 경험을 근거해 보았을 때

Based on any experiences from my life so far

나 이외의 다른 사람에게 나의 생명을 맡기고 의존하는 것은

나에게 불행을 가진 것이다

I have been cursed with misfortune.

그래서 누구를 의지하고 누구를 믿고

누구를 신뢰하는 것은

나는 하나님도

신뢰하지 않을 것이다

사람과 하와가

Man and Eve

하나님의 그 의도

인간을 향한 하나님의 그 사랑과

너그러우신

인간을 향한 이 섭리

This providence toward humanity.

이것을 신뢰하였다면

If you had trusted this.

아무런 문제가 되지 않았을 것입니다

It wouldn't have been a problem at all.

오히려 선악을 알게 하는 그 나무

The tree that makes one aware of good and evil.

이거를 먹었을 때 우리가

When we ate this

분명히 죽게 될 것이라는

이 하나님의 그 말씀

This word of God.

그것을 그대로 우리가 받아들이면서

As we accept it as it is.

그것을 순종하고

그것을 눈으로 바라보았을 때

내가 그 유혹에서

이 남자의 은혜가

The grace of this man.

여자와 여자를 창조하셔서

Creating a woman and a woman.

인간으로 하여금

"To make a human"

특별히 이 부부관계를

가정을 누리면서 사는 이 부부관계를 누리신 하나님의 그 섭리로

Through God's providence, enjoy the relationship of this couple living in joy within their family.

인간을 향한 하나님의 깊은 배려라는 것을

우리가 분명히 알 수 있는데요

We can be sure that we know.

이 가정이라는 이것이

얼마만큼 많은 행복을 가져다주는

하나님의 아주 오묘하고 훌륭한

God's very mysterious and wonderful

그런 작품인가

우리가 경험을 통해서 알고 있습니다

We know through experience.

가정의 어려움을 겪고 계시는 분들

Those who are experiencing difficulties at home.

결혼생활의 어려움을 겪고 계시는 분들이 계시기 때문에

Because there are those who are experiencing difficulties in their married life.

이것이 굉장히 조심스러운 그런 내용이기는 합니다만

This is a very delicate matter, but...

그러면서도 불구하고 한 가지 분명한 사실은

However, one clear fact is that...

이 창세기 2장에 설명되어 있는 이 아담과 하와이의 관계

The relationship between Adam and Eve described in Genesis chapter 2.

또 그 관계를 통해서 두 사람이 누릴 수 있었던

Also through that relationship, what the two people were able to enjoy.

통성한 어떤 그 삶의 그 행복

The happiness of that life in harmony.

이것은 분명히 하나님께서 인간을 위해서 마련해 놓으신

This is certainly what God has prepared for humanity.

하나님의 섭리요

그분의 은혜였다는 것입니다

It was His grace.

근데 이 행복한 결혼생활을 하기 위해서

But in order to have this happy married life

하나님께서 여기에 마련해 놓으신

어떤 그 열쇠가 있다면

If there is that key.

그 무엇이겠습니까?

What could it be?

이 창세기 2장의 말씀이 이 행복한 결혼생활의 어떤 그 비밀로

The words in Genesis 2 reveal some of the secrets to this happy married life.

지금 여기에서 무엇을 우리에게 말씀해 주고 있습니까?

하나님께서 남자와 여자를

God created man and woman.

남편과 아내를

Husband and wife.

각각의 특별한 목적을 위하여

For each special purpose.

어떤 그 역할을 분담시키셔서

You assigned that role to someone.

그들로 하여금 서로 상부상조하도록

To enable them to help each other.

서로 보충하며 서로 의존할 수 있도록 만드셨다는 것입니다

It means that you have created us to complement each other and to depend on one another.

굉장히 중요한 부분인 것 같아요 여러분 생각해 보십시오

요즘 현대사회에서는 남자와 여자의 경계선을 계속 무너뜨리려는

In today's modern society, there is a constant attempt to break down the boundaries between men and women.

이런 시도가 끊임없이 이뤄지고 있습니다

Such attempts are being made constantly.

이제 뭐 여러분

Now, what is it, everyone?

청소년 자녀들을 두고 계시는 부모님들께서는

Parents who have teenage children,

집에 가서 한번 물어보시고 학교에서

Go home and ask once at school.

어떤 그런 그 일들이 벌어지고 있는지

What kind of things are happening?

특히 이 호주 교육계에서 문교부에서

Especially in the Australian education sector, at the Department of Education.

계속해서 어떤 것들을 사람들에게 주입시키려고

Continuously trying to instill certain things in people.

의도적으로 법안을 만들면서 이것을 시행하고 있는지 한번 물어보십시오

Please ask whether they are intentionally creating the legislation and implementing it.

남자와 여자의 관계를 계속

Continuing the relationship between a man and a woman.

더 이상 분리시키지 않으려는

No longer wanting to separate.

그래서 이 남자가 여자가 될 수도 있고 여자가 남자가 될 수도 있다는

So this man can become a woman, and this woman can become a man.

이런 생각을 계속해서 사람들에게 가르쳐 주고 있다는 것입니다

또는 가사 일을 돌보지 않으시거나 이런 분들 계시면

Or if there are people who do not take care of household chores.

분명히 회개하셔야 될 것 같아요

I think you definitely need to repent.

왜 그렇게 하시는 것입니까?

Why are you doing that?

그런데 문제는 거기에서 더 나아가서

The problem is that it goes further than that.

더 이상 남편과 아내의 역할 분담이 없다 하는 이 주장은

The claim that there is no longer a division of roles between husband and wife

성경의 말씀과 일치하지 않습니다

It does not align with the words of the Bible.

여러분 창세기 1장에 보시면 하나님께서 모든 물고기들을 종류대로

In Genesis 1, you will see that God created all the fish according to their kinds.

모든 짐승들을 종류대로 만드셨다 하면서

"It is said that you created all the beasts according to their kinds."

종류대로라는 단어를 여러 번 반복해서 사용하는 것을 볼 수 있습니다

You can see the word "종류대로" being repeated multiple times.

하나님께서 만드신 어떤 질서

An order created by God.

하나님께서 만들어 놓으신 이 세상의 이치

The principles of this world created by God.

또 그 이치 안에서 우리가 참된 삶을 누릴 수 있는 것을

And within that principle, we can enjoy true life.

그 방법은 이 하나님의 만들어 놓으신 이 질서를 우리가 존중하는 것이라는 것입니다

The way is to respect the order that God has established.

그래서 신명기나 이런 데 보시면 아마 여러분들이 읽으시면서

So if you look at Deuteronomy or something like that, you might find yourself reading it.

왜 이런 말씀이 있었을까 의아해 하시는 분들이 등장할 텐데요

There will be those who wonder why such words were said.

예를 들어서 배와 무명을 섞은 그런 옷을 입지 말아라

For example, don't wear clothes that mix a blouse and a petticoat.

또는 두 종류의 종자를 땅에다 같이 뿌리지 말아라 하는 이런 말씀이 등장합니다

Or there is a saying that you should not sow two kinds of seeds together in the ground.

왜 하나님께서 그렇게 하셨겠습니까?

Why would God do that?

하나님께서 지어 놓으신 이 경계선을 무너뜨리려고 하지 말라는 것입니다

It is to not try to break down the boundary that God has established.

남자와 여자가 서로 관계하는 데 있어서

In the relationship between a man and a woman.

남자가 여자의 옷을 입지 말 것이며

A man should not wear a woman's clothes.

여자가 남자의 옷을 입지 말라고 이야기하는 이 부분도

This part where the woman tells the man not to wear her clothes.

바로 그런 면에서 틀림없이 남자와 여자의 정해 놓으신 관계의 중요성에 대해서 말씀하시는 것입니다

In that respect, you are undoubtedly speaking about the importance of the established relationship between men and women.

남자가 계속해서 여자처럼 이렇게 옷을 입는다든지

The man continues to dress like a woman like this.

또는 여성이지만 내가 남성처럼 옷을 입고 다녀야 되겠는가 생각하시는 분들 계십니다

Or there are those who think that even though I am a woman, I should dress like a man.

그것도 회개하셔야 됩니다

You must repent for that as well.

하나님께서 정해 놓으신 어떤 질서 안에 우리가 남아 있을 때에

When we remain within the order that God has established.

우리는 인간으로서 비로소 누릴 수 있는 행복과 참 생명을 누릴 수 있다는 것입니다

It means that we can finally enjoy the happiness and true life that we can experience as humans.

인간이 이것을 다 거부하고 하나님을 신뢰하지 않았기 때문에

Because humans completely rejected this and did not trust God.

에덴 동산에서 쫓겨나서 자기의 생명을 잃어버리는 그 결과를 초래합니다

It results in losing one's life after being expelled from the Garden of Eden.

다음 주에 우리가 다시 보게 되겠습니다만 인간이 이것을 다 거부하고 하나님을 신뢰하지 않았기 때문에 에덴 동산에서 쫓겨나서 자기의 생명을 잃어버리는 그 결과를 초래합니다

Next week, we will see each other again, but because humans rejected this and did not trust in God, they were cast out of the Garden of Eden, resulting in the loss of their lives.

오늘 아침에 우리가 읽었던 고림도전서 15장의 말씀을 보시면

If you look at the passage from 1 Corinthians 15 that we read this morning,

마지막 아담은 살려주는 영이 되었다 이렇게 15장 45절에서 말씀하고 있습니다

The last Adam became a life-giving spirit, as it says in 1 Corinthians 15:45.

마지막 아담은 곧 예수 그리스도 그분을 말씀하신 것입니다

The last Adam refers to Jesus Christ Himself.

첫 아담 에덴 동산의 아담은 하나님께로부터

The first Adam, Adam of the Garden of Eden, was from God.

생명을 받았던 그런 존재이고 그래서 생명체가 되었지만

It was a being that received life, and thus became a living creature, but...

하나님을 신뢰하지 아니하고 하나님께 반기를 들음으로 인해서

By not trusting in God and going against Him.

그 생명을 잃어버리는 흙으로 돌아간 그런 생명체가 되었습니다

It has become a creature that returns to the earth from which it loses its life.

그러나 마지막 아담은 죽음을 정복하시고 무덤에서 일어나셔서

But the last Adam conquered death and rose from the grave.

그분 안에 있는 이 생명을 사람들에게 나누어 줄 수 있는

The ability to share this life that is in Him with people.

살려주는 영이 되셨다고 성경이 우리에게 증거하고 있다는 것입니다

The Bible testifies that you have become a spirit that saves.

죽음을 정복하신 예수께서 무덤 문을 박차고 일어나신 그리스도께서

The Christ who conquered death and rose up by bursting the tomb door.

우리에게 찾아오셔서 그분 안에 있는 이 부활의 생명의 능력으로

Come to us and with the power of this resurrection life within Him.

우리를 거듭나게 하셔서 여러분과 저로 하여금 참 생명을 누릴 수 있는

He has made us reborn so that you and I can enjoy true life.

그 길을 아주 활짝 열어 놓으셨다는 것입니다

You have opened that road very wide.

우리 그리스도인들이 죽음을 두려워하지 않는 이유가 여기 있는 것입니다

This is where the reason lies for us Christians not to fear death.

예수 믿는 여러분들 죽음을 두려워하십니까? 그럴 필요가 없습니다

Do those of you who believe in Jesus fear death? There is no need to.

왜 그렇습니까? 우리 안에 예수의 생명이 존재하며

Why is that? The life of Jesus exists within us.

우리가 그분 안에 있을 때에 하나님께서 우리를 위해 예비해 놓으신

What God has prepared for us when we are in Him.

하나님의 영원한 나라에서 누리게 되는 영생이 우리 안에 있기 때문인 것입니다

It is because the eternal life that we will enjoy in God's everlasting kingdom is within us.

예수를 의지하십시오

Trust in Jesus.

그분 앞에 나오셨을 때에 그분이 우리에게 주시는 이 참 생명의 은혜가운데로

When you come before Him, into this grace of true life that He gives us.

우리가 들어갈 수 있습니다

We can go in.

이미 예수를 구주로 고백하셨던 우리 교회의 성들 여러분들에게 여쭤보십시오

Please ask the members of our church, who have already confessed Jesus as their Lord.

그 삶이 얼마나 풍성해졌는지 이것이 얼마나 복된 삶인지

How enriched that life has become, how blessed this life is.

이것이 얼마나 그들에게 새로운 삶의 의미와 방향을 제시해 주었는지

How much this has provided them with new meaning and direction in life.

그리고 우리가 얼마나 소망 중에 인내함으로 우리에게 참 생명을 주실

And how we will be given true life as we endure in hope.

예수 그분을 기다리며 살고 있는지 여러분들에게 증거해 주실 것입니다

He will testify to you whether you are living while waiting for Jesus Christ.

하나님 아버지 감사합니다

Thank you, God the Father.

저희들에게 은혜를 베푸셔서 참 생명을 주시고

You have granted us grace and given us true life.

이제 하나님의 보호자 앞에 나아갈 수 있도록 인도하여 주시니 감사합니다

Thank you for guiding us so that we can now come before God's throne.

하나님 혹시 저희들의 마음속에 하나님의 선하심과 하나님의 섭리를 의심하거나

God, if we might doubt Your goodness and Your providence in our hearts.

또 신뢰하지 않으려는 그런 마음이 있다면 저희들을 용서하여 주시고

If you have a heart that does not want to trust again, please forgive us.

믿음에 믿음을 더하셔서 하나님 안에 고하며

Add faith to faith and abide in God.

하나님의 아들이신 예수 그리스도를 향한 믿음으로 늘 자라가도록 우리 모두를 인도하여 주옵소서

May You guide us all to continually grow in our faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 기도합니다
