이 영화 왜 좋아하는지부터 한번 시작을 해보죠

Let's start by talking about why I like this movie.

세 번 보러 갔다 오신 윤철씨

Mr. Yoon-cheol, who went to see it three times.

일단 저는 이 영화 OST를 너무 좋아했어요

First of all, I really loved the OST of this movie.

그래서 약간 또 무한반복으로 저는 항상 틀어놓거든요

So I always have it on in a kind of infinite repeat.

그래서 처음에는 그 City of Stars를 듣다가

So at first, I was listening to that City of Stars.

걔도 한 백 번 넘게 들었더니 살짝 질리는 것 같아요

I've heard it over a hundred times, so it seems a bit tiresome now.

그러다 뭐 한 1번 트랙을 들으니까 1번 트랙도 좋고

Then, when I listened to track 1, I liked track 1 too.

2번 들으니까 2번도 좋고 하다 보니까

After listening to it twice, I think the second one is good too.

그냥 처음부터 끝까지 계속 무한반복을 저는 돌렸거든요

I just kept playing it on infinite repeat from start to finish.

중간에 존 레전드 노래만 좀 별로 안 어울리는 것 같아요

I think the John Legend song in the middle just doesn't fit very well.

2번만 들었고

I only listened to it twice.

이제 무한반복을 한 일주일 정도를 들었다가

Now, after listening to it on repeat for about a week.

이제 처음 영화 본 게 살짝 까먹어질 때쯤에 다시 한번 보고

Now that I'm starting to forget the first time I watched the movie, I'll watch it again.

그 다음에 제가 짧은 연애를 다시 한번 했을 때

Then, when I had a brief romance once again.

또 한번 보고 그렇게 전 세 번을 보게 됐죠

I saw you once again, and that’s how I ended up seeing you three times.

일단 뭐 재즈라는 것 자체도 제가 되게 좋아하고

First of all, I really like jazz itself.

그 음악이랑 영상 및 그리고

That music and video, and

제가 거의 제일 좋아하는 결말이라 해도

It's one of my favorite endings, to be honest.

손색없을 정도로 깔끔한 결말 때문에

Because of the remarkably neat ending.

제가 정말 좋아하고

I really like it.

대학교 때 대부 영화 시리즈를 봤어요

I watched the Godfather movie series in college.

처음 봤어요

I saw you for the first time.

그 전까지 사람들이 대부가 유명하다고 아무리 얘기를 해도 관심이 없다가

Until then, no matter how much people talked about how famous the loan shark was, they had no interest.

우연히 보게 됐는데

I happened to see it.

그다음부터는 거기에 꽂혀 갖고

From then on, I became obsessed with it.

대부 그 테마 음악 있잖아요

You know the theme music from The Godfather, right?

트럼펫 소리 나는 거

The sound of a trumpet.

그거를 하루 종일 틀어놨었어요

I had that playing all day long.

그냥 백그라운드 음악으로

Just as background music.

그래가지고 나중에 카운트를 보니까

So later when I checked the count...

아이튠즈에 이렇게 몇 번 들었는지 나오잖아요

It shows how many times I've listened to it on iTunes.

700 몇 번이 찍혀있더라고요

It said something like 700.

저는 제가 좋아했던 노래들은 기본 3,000번 정도

The songs I liked have at least around 3,000 plays.

와 나보다 더한 사람이 있네

I think I've listened to Hyukoh's "Tomboy" about 1,000 times even now.

저는 학교 다닐 때 아카펠라 그룹에서 노래도 하고 그랬었는데

I used to sing in an a cappella group when I was in school.

제 솔로곡도 가사가 잘 기억이 안 나는 그런 스타일입니다

My solo song has a style where I don't really remember the lyrics well either.

저도 뮤지컬 장르를 되게 좋아하거든요

I really like the musical genre too.

그래서 봤고 또 꿈에 대해서 얘기하는 걸 되게 좋아하는 편이에요

So I watched it and I really like talking about dreams.

그러다 보니까 좀 제가 좋아하는 취향하고 너무 맞았어갖고

So it turned out to match my personal taste really well.

저도 그래서 여러 번 봤고 많이 좋아하게 됐어요

I also watched it several times and grew to like it a lot.

저는 개인적으로 뮤지컬 장르를 별로 안 좋아해요

Personally, I don't really like the musical genre.

뮤지컬은 그냥 정말로 공연장에 가서 보는 거라는

A musical is just something you really go to see in a theater.

그런 약간 전통적인 고지식한 인식이 있어갖고

그런 뮤지컬을 보려고 그러면 되게 오글오글 거리더라고요

I feel really cringy when I try to watch a musical like that.

맞아요 저도 공연장 가서 보는 거 되게 좋아하거든요

That's right, I also really enjoy going to see performances at the venue.

원래 좋아하시는구나

You originally like it, huh?

근데 디즈니가 뮤지컬 애니메이션을 많이 만들잖아요

But Disney makes a lot of musical animations.

그래서 좋아했는데 저도 뮤지컬 장르를 별로 안 좋아했는데

So I liked it, but I didn't really like the musical genre either.

영화로는 라라랜드는 너무 괜찮더라고요

I really liked the movie La La Land.

So I was really happy about it.

디즈니 말씀하셔서 저도 생각이 났는데

영화를 처음 볼 때는 잘 못 느꼈어요

I didn't feel it well when I first watched the movie.

근데 영화를 두 번째 보다 보니까

But watching the movie for the second time...

이게 어른들을 위한 디즈니 동화 같다는 그런 느낌이 들더라고요

I felt like this is a Disney fairy tale for adults.

People imitate and do things like that.

싱얼롱도 하고 그랬었어요

We also did sing-alongs and things like that.

근데 이것도 하면은 괜찮을 거 같애

But I think it would be okay if you do this too.

물론 이제 그 감동은 좀 반감되긴 했지만

Of course, the emotion has somewhat diminished now.

옆에 있는 사람이랑 되게 어색하긴 했잖아요

It was really awkward with the person next to me.

아 이제 그만 불러줬으면

뭔가 반감 수준이 아닐까?

아무튼 옛날에 그 디즈니 영화 보면서

Anyway, while watching that Disney movie a long time ago...

노래 따라 부르고 막 몰입하고 그러던 생각이 나더라고요

I remembered how I used to sing along and get totally immersed.

이 영화가 환상에 대한 얘기잖아요

This movie is about fantasy.

아까 꿈이라는 것에 대해서 말하셨지만

You mentioned earlier about something called a dream, but...

꿈이 두 가지 의미로 적용이 되는 거 같아요

It seems that the dream has two meanings.

정말로 내가 쫓고 싶은 그런 목표 같은 꿈 하나

A dream like a goal that I really want to chase.

또 하나는 정말로 환상적인 그런 영상미라든지

Another is truly fantastic visuals.

뭐 아니면 음악이라든지 이런 걸로

Well, either that or music or something like that.

현실하고는 조금 다른 환상을 보여주는 그런 꿈

A dream that shows a fantasy somewhat different from reality.

또 엔딩도 어떻게 보면은 살짝 꿈이 들어갔었죠 그쵸?

The ending also had a bit of a dream-like quality, right?

이 사람과의 삶은 어땠을까라고 꿈꿔보는

I wonder what life with this person would have been like.

뭐 여러 가지 꿈들이 들어가 있는데

Well, there are various dreams included.

디즈니도 꿈과 희망을 심어주는 그런 매체였잖아요

Disney has always been a medium that instills dreams and hope, right?

그때는 굉장히 좋아했던 거 같아요

I think I really liked it back then.

근데 어른이 돼서

But as I became an adult...

뮤지컬이라는 거를 뭔가 예술의 한 장르로 접하다 보니까

Since I encountered musicals as a genre of art...

극장에서 보는 게 되게 어색해졌었어요

It became really awkward to watch it in the theater.

그래서 이 영화 나왔을 때도 아 좀 이상할 것 같애라고

So when this movie came out, I thought it might be a little strange.

편입견을 갖고 있었는데

I had a preconceived notion.

저도 그래서 되게 오랫동안 미루고 안 봤었어요

That's why I also put it off for a really long time and didn't watch it.

개봉하고 사람들이 다 재밌다 그러고

"After the release, everyone said it was fun."

꼭 봐야 된다 그러고 인생영화다 그러는데

They say you must see it and that it's a life-changing movie.

아 저 약간 막 노래 계속 부르고

Oh, I keep singing a lot.

딱 봐도 막 사람들이 엄청 나와서 춤추는 거 같고

It just looks like a lot of people are coming out and dancing.

그런 장면들이 생각이 나는데

I remember scenes like that.

저거를 막

Stop that.

약간 오글거릴 것 같고 그런 생각에 되게 미루고 미루다가

I thought it might be a bit cringe-worthy, so I kept putting it off and procrastinating.

끝물에 세 번을 봤죠

I saw it three times towards the end.

그랬구나

I see.

저도요 저도 많이 미뤘었어요

Me too, I also procrastinated a lot.

그 인도 영화가 그렇잖아요

That Indian movie is like that, isn't it?

발리우드가 네 시간 동안 춤추면 노래하고

Bollywood dances and sings for four hours.

막 개연성도 하나도 없는 스토리고

It's a story with absolutely no plausibility.

심지어는 노래 부르는 사람은 따로 있어요

There is even someone else who sings.

배우들이 노래 부르는 게 아니라

It's not the actors singing.

가수들이 불러요 배우들은 립싱크를 하고

Singers sing, and actors lip-sync.

옛날에 우리나라 영화들도 다 그렇게 보이스오버 해서

In the past, our country's movies did all that with voiceovers.

입혔었다 그러더라고요

They said I had put it on.

신성일 씨가 목소리나 인토네이션 이런 게 별로 안 좋대요

Shin Sung-il says that his voice and intonation aren't very good.

발음도 그렇고

The pronunciation is the same.

근데 그것도 성우가 대신 이야기했었다고 그래요

But I heard that the voice actor spoke on behalf of that.

성우랑 배우랑 달랐던 거

The difference between a voice actor and an actor.

제일 유명한 거는 아마도 다스베이더

The most famous one is probably Darth Vader.

다스베이더 목소리 한 사람은 따로 있거든요 전문 성우

The voice of Darth Vader is done by a separate professional voice actor.

근데 원래 배우의 목소리를 들으면

But when you hear the actor's voice originally...

거의 모기가 앵앵거리는 수준이 돼요

It's almost at the level of a mosquito buzzing.

약간 백헌 목소리처럼

A bit like Baekhyun's voice.

어차피 탈 수도 있으니까

Since it could happen anyway.

발리우드 영화처럼 유치하지는 않을까

Will it be as cheesy as a Bollywood movie?

라고 걱정을 했었는데

I was worried that it would be like that.

생각보다 꽤 괜찮았었죠

It was actually pretty good, more than I thought.

제가 그동안 봤던 영화 인트로 중에

Among the movie intros I've seen so far,

가장 인상 깊었던 축에 들어갔던 것 같아요

I think it was one of the most impressive experiences I've had.

그리고 그냥 너무 시각적으로 청각적으로 너무 훌륭해서

And it's just so visually and audibly amazing.

영화가 될 수 있는 어떤

Anything that can become a movie.

그런 황홀함 같은 거 되게 오랜만에 느꼈던 영화였어요

It was a movie that made me feel that kind of ecstasy after a very long time.

저도 극장 가서 두 번 봤고

I also went to the theater and watched it twice.

나중에 뭐 VOD 이렇게 나올 때도 계속 보게 되더라고요

I find myself continuing to watch it later when it comes out as VOD.

맞아요 시각적으로 정말 즐거운 영화죠 색감이

That's right, it's a visually really enjoyable movie, the colors are great.

It looks very flashy, and when you go at night, it's spectacular, right?

낮에 가면 정말 무슨 뒷골목 같잖아

It really feels like a back alley during the day.

LA도 좀 그래요 사람들이 환상을 갖고 있어요

LA is a bit like that too; people have illusions.

할리우드도 LA에 있는 동네 중에 하나인 거고

Hollywood is one of the neighborhoods in LA.

뭐 베벌 힐스도 그렇고

Well, Beverly Hills is like that too.

되게 멋있는 도시라고 생각을 하지만

I think it's a really cool city, but...

막상 가보면 햇빛은 쨍쨍 내리치고

When you actually go, the sunlight is shining brightly.

숨을 곳도 없고 영화에서 나오는 것처럼

There's nowhere to hide, just like in the movies.

트래픽도 굉장히 심하고

The traffic is really heavy.

생각보다 그렇게 로맨틱하지 않거든요? 그래서 그거를 보면서

It's not as romantic as I thought, you know? So while watching that...

정말 꿈처럼 시각적으로 표현을 해주는 거는

It's truly visually expressive, like a dream.

엄청난 일이에요 LA라는 배경을 그렇게 한다는 건

It's a huge deal to set it against the backdrop of LA.

이태원을 예를 들어서 이런 느낌으로 살린다

For example, let's bring this feeling to life in Itaewon.

어렵잖아요

It's difficult, isn't it?

근데 펀치트렁크 러브나 아니면 이런 라라랜드 같은 영화에서는

But in movies like Punch-Drunk Love or La La Land...

그걸 해낸 거죠

You did it.

그래서 더 대단한 거 같아

So I think it's even more amazing.

원래 예쁜 도시를 아름답게 묘사하는 건 쉽지만

It's easy to beautifully describe a city that is originally pretty, but...

그렇지 않은 곳은 더 힘들잖아요

It's harder in places that aren't like that.

그래서 좋아하셨고

저 같은 경우에는 고등학교 때 예술고 연극영화과 다녔었거든요

In my case, I attended an arts high school majoring in theater and film during high school.

뭔가 좀 공감이 되는 거예요 여주인공한테

I can somewhat empathize with the female lead.

제가 막 오디션 보러 다니고 했던 건 아니지만

I wasn't just going around auditioning.

막 뭔가 꿈꾸면서 좀 왜 안 이루어질까

I keep wondering why my dreams don't come true.

막 이런 생각을 좀 많이 했던 거 같고

I think I've had a lot of thoughts like this.

여주인공이 좀 예전에 저 보는 듯한 느낌이 들어서

The female lead feels reminiscent of someone I used to know.

근데 이전에 말했던 분들처럼

But like the people I mentioned earlier

뭐 꿈도 나오고 영상이나 음악도 되게 좋았지만

Well, the dream came out, and both the video and music were really good, but...

저 같은 경우에는 그거까지 공감까지 더해서 가지고

In my case, I also empathize with that.

되게 좋았던 거 같아요

I think it was really good.

그렇죠

이걸 경험해 본 사람이 보는 시각이랑

The perspective of someone who is not like that.

굉장히 많이 다를 거예요

저도 고등학교 때 연극부에 있었어요

I was also in the theater club in high school.

그리고 뮤지컬도 했었어요

And I also did a musical.

그래서 3개월 동안 뮤지컬 리허설을 하고

So, I've been rehearsing for the musical for three months.

오디션도 봤죠 오디션 보고 리허설을 하고

I auditioned, went through auditions, and then rehearsed.

그다음에 이제 3일 동안 공연을 올렸어요

Then, we had performances for three days.

그 경험 떠올리면서 이걸 보면요

When I think of that experience and see this...

저도 막 가슴이 벅차오를 때도 있고

I also sometimes feel overwhelmed with emotion.

막 저 사람들이 힘들어하는 게 느껴질 때도 있고

Sometimes I can feel that those people are having a hard time.

그래서 공감 가는 부분이 저도 있었는데

So there were parts that I could relate to as well.

아마 꼭 뭐 이런

Probably something like this.

연기 오디션뿐만이 아니라

Not only acting auditions

어떤 오디션이나 뭐 심지어는 회사 면접에 가보신 분들이라면

If you've ever been to any auditions or even interviews for a company, then...

어느 정도 공감하실 수 있는 분들이 아마 있을 거 같아요

I think there might be some people who can relate to this to some extent.

저도 되게 비슷한 거 같아요

I think it's very similar for me as well.

저도 아무래도 연극했었기 때문에

Since I also did theater, after all.

연극학을 공부하고 연 문화 이렇게 하면서

Studying theater and experiencing culture like this.

그냥 오디션 보는 과정

Just the process of auditioning.

근데 사실은 이 영화에 조금 더 관심이 갔었던 거는

But the truth is, I was a bit more interested in this movie.

색채가 포스터도 그렇고

The colors of the poster are like that too.

말씀하신 그 오프닝 영상의 색채가 너무

The colors of the opening video you mentioned are too...

약간 이게 딱 느낌이 확 임팩트가 오는 게 아니라

It's not exactly a strong impactful feeling.

뭐지? 하는 약간 물음표를 주는 색채인 거예요

What is it? It's a color that gives off a bit of a question mark vibe.

그래서 뭔가 이렇게 몽상에 젖을 수 있을 것 같은 색채다

So it's a color that seems to let you indulge in daydreams.

신기하네 그래서 좀 관심을 갖게 되고

That's interesting, so I became a bit curious.

아무래도 이게 약간 만인이 관계성에서

It seems that this is somewhat about the relationships among everyone.

아 내가 저 여주인공 같아

Ah, I feel like that female lead.

내가 저 남자 같아 라는 걸 느끼잖아요

I feel like I'm that man.

근데 저도 아마 예전에 과거에 있었는데

But I probably had it in the past as well.

저하고는 좀 비슷했던 관계가 저거랑 좀 비슷했어요

The relationship I had was somewhat similar to that one.

남자친구가 음악을 했고 저는 연기를 했고

My boyfriend did music and I did acting.

그랬기 때문에 보면서 뭐지?

That's why I was thinking, what is it?

네 약간 좀 아 재밌다

Yeah, it's kind of funny.

이렇게 한 번도 제삼자의 시각에서 본 적

I've never looked at it from a third-party perspective like this before.

혹은 느껴본 적 없었던 걸 이렇게 볼 수 있네

Or I can see something I've never felt like this.

그래서 좋았던 거 같아요

I think that's why it was good.

그래서 더 관심이 갔어요

제가 오기 전에 이걸 다시 리뷰를 할 때는

When I review this again before I come,

저 조명의 색이나 이런 거에 대한 의미가 다 이렇게 있잖아요
