In 1995, at a prominent research institute in Washington, D.C.

거짓말이란 주제를 가지고 실험을 했습니다

I conducted an experiment on the topic of lying.

수백 명을 대상으로 이런 실험입니다

This is an experiment involving hundreds of people.

거짓말을 의도적으로 반복해서 계속해서 하기 일정 기간 동안 만들었습니다

I intentionally created a period during which I repeatedly told lies.

놀라운 결과가 나왔습니다

An amazing result has come out.

본인이 거짓말인 것을 알면서 계속했지만

Even though I knew it was a lie, I kept going.

그 가운데 10% 정도는 그 자신도 계속된 거짓말을 사실로 받아들였다는 것입니다

About 10% of them have come to accept their own continued lies as the truth.

믿을 수 없는 결과지만 정말 그렇다는 겁니다

It's an unbelievable result, but it's really true.

거짓말의 위력, 우리가 생각하는 것 이상으로 엄청난 파급효과가 있습니다

The power of lies has a tremendous ripple effect, more than we think.

야곱에서 말씀해 이걸 혀로 비유했죠

Jacob spoke and compared it to the tongue.

우리의 혀가 무슨 잘못이 있겠습니까?

What wrong has our tongue done?

이것을 우리의 심령이 문제인데 이렇게 비유를 했습니다

This is a matter of our spirit, and that's why it has been compared this way.

혀는 곧 불이요 불의의 세계라

The tongue is a fire, the world of fire.

혀는 우리 지체 중에서 온 몸을 더럽히고 삶의 수레바퀴를 불사르나니

The tongue defiles the whole body among our members and sets on fire the course of life.

그 사르는 것이 지옥불에서 나는이라

The one who catches fire is from the flames of hell.

한국과 미국을 비교해 보면 다 그런 건 아니지만

When comparing Korea and the United States, it's not all like that, but...

일반적인 그런 문화가 있다라는 것을 말씀드립니다

I am saying that there is a general culture like that.

한국은 최면문화고 미국은 정직을 중요시 여기는 문화입니다

Korea has a culture of hypnosis, while the United States values honesty.

한국은 사실과 진실보다는

Korea values appearances more than facts and truths.

최면과 전통을 중요시 여기는 가닥에

In the thread that values hypnosis and tradition.

한 번의 거짓말보다 한 번의 최면이 무너지는 것을

Rather than a single lie, it's the breaking of a single hypnosis.

더 창피한 일로 생각합니다

I think it's something even more embarrassing.

아마 이 문화는 예수님 오실 때까지 변하지 않을 것 같습니다

I don't think this culture will change until the Lord Jesus comes.

한국 사람은 최면이 구겨지느니 차라리 거짓말을 하는 것이 낫다

Koreans would rather lie than have their pride be hurt.

라고 생각하는 경향이 있습니다

There is a tendency to think that way.

말씀드린 것처럼 사람에 따라서 다르다 라고 말씀드렸습니다

As I mentioned, I said that it depends on the person.

미국 사람들은 최면은 구겨져도 진실은 말아야 한다라고 생각하는 경향이 있습니다

Americans tend to believe that even if the hypnosis is distorted, the truth must be spoken.

그래서 기독교 윤리와 청교도 사상의 바탕을 둔 미국 문화는 정직을 가장 중요한 문화로 생각하는 경향이 있습니다.

Therefore, American culture, based on Christian ethics and Puritan thought, tends to consider honesty as the most important value.

다시 한번 말씀드리지만 사람에 따라서 다릅니다.

I'll say it once more, it varies from person to person.

몇 해 전에 한국에서 서울에 있는 강남의 초등학생들을 대상으로 이런 질문을 했습니다.

A few years ago, I asked elementary school students in Gangnam, Seoul, Korea this question.

아마 기억나시는 분들이 있을 거예요.

Some of you might remember.

정직해서 한국 사회에서 성공할 수 있는가? 라는 질문을 했습니다. 초등학생들입니다.

I asked the question, "Can one succeed in Korean society by being honest?" These are elementary school students.

그 중에서 너무 충격적인 결과가 나왔습니다.

Among them, a shocking result came out.

70% 이상이 정직하면 한국 사회에서 성공할 수 없다라고 답변을 했습니다.

More than 70% responded that if one is honest, they cannot succeed in Korean society.

엄청난 파장이 있었죠.

There was a tremendous impact.

도대체 무엇 때문에 남을 속여야지만 성공할 수 있다는 가치관이 이 신념이 어린아이들한테까지 자리잡게 되었을까요?

What kind of values make it so that one must deceive others in order to succeed, and how has this belief taken root even among children?

우리 한국 1세대는 정말 열심히 헌신하고 땀을 흘려서 노동을 하고

Our first generation in Korea truly worked hard, dedicated themselves, and toiled with sweat.

성실하게 일을 하고 있습니다.

I am working diligently.

성실하게 살아왔습니다.

I have lived sincerely.

그런데 일면에 혹시 우리가 이런 일을 이루는 일면에

By the way, on one hand, perhaps we achieve such things.

이 아이들에게 이런 영향이 갔던 것 우리들에게도 일면에 책임이 있지는 않나 생각해 봅니다.

I wonder if we bear some responsibility for the impact this had on these children.

오늘 초대교회 공동체의 진실과 거짓에 대해서 아주 중요한 교훈 하나가 등장합니다.

Today, an important lesson about the truth and falsehood of the early church community emerges.

특별히 하나님께서 정직과 거룩을 얼마나 중요하게 생각하시는지를 보여주는 일면입니다.

This is a aspect that shows how much God values honesty and holiness.

초대교회는 이제 마찬가지입니다.

The early church is the same now.

막 어린아이가 졌을 때고 이후식을 하는 것 같은 그런 국면에 접어들었습니다.

We have entered a phase that feels like a young child has just lost and is now in a state of reflection.

막 성장하고 말씀을 힘있게 증거하고 엄청난 놀라운 기적과 이사들이 곳곳에 나타나서

"As they grow up, they powerfully testify and incredible miracles and wonders appear everywhere."

예수를 믿는 사람들이 날마다 더해졌다라고 성경을 기록합니다.

The Bible records that those who believe in Jesus were added to their number day by day.

사람들은 마음가운데 은혜를 받으니까 도저히 받을 수 없는 은혜를 주인으로서 받았는데

People receive grace in their hearts, and as a master, they have received grace that they could never truly deserve.

그때부터 다른 사람들이 보이기 시작했습니다.

From that time on, I started to see other people.

남의 아픔이 나의 아픔으로 여겨지기 시작했습니다.

I started to see others' pain as my own pain.

예수님의 참 사랑과 실천이었습니다.

It was the true love and practice of Jesus.

자신이 무엇인지 알아갑니다.

I am learning what I am.

그래서 자연스럽게 자신의 소유를 일부든 전부든 그것을 팔아서

So, naturally, by selling some or all of one's possessions.

가난한 사람들을 도와주기 위해서 교회에 바치기 시작했습니다.

I started donating to the church to help poor people.

이런 상황 가운데서 오늘 본문에 두 극단적인 사람들이 인물들이 등장을 하게 되는 거죠.

In this situation, two extreme characters appear in today's passage.

사장 말미에 등장하는 자신의 전재산을 팔아서 사도들 앞에 가져와서 헌금을 하고 원신한

At the end of the meeting, he sold all his possessions and brought the proceeds to the apostles as a contribution, demonstrating his devotion.

구부로에 선한 레위족 속인 요셉이라는 사람이었습니다.

There was a man named Joseph, a good Levite from Cyprus.

사람들이 요셉의 별명을 바나바라고 지어진 것입니다.

People gave Joseph the nickname Barnabas.

당시나 지금이나 이 별명 그리스도인들에게 있어서 정말 좋은 사람, 다른 사람들을 세워주는 사람

At that time and now, this nickname represents someone who is truly a good person and someone who lifts others up among Christians.

그런 별명으로 저희들에게 알려져 있습니다.

They are known to us by that nickname.

한국말 번역의 권위자라는 말, 격려하는 자입니다.

The phrase "a person who is an authority in Korean translation is someone who encourages."

즉 바나바는 끊임없이 사람들을 격려하고 위로하고 그리고 사람들을 세우는 역할을 하고 있었습니다.

In other words, Barnabas was constantly encouraging, comforting, and uplifting people.

교회가 건강하려면 이런 별명을 가진 사람들이 많습니다.

For a church to be healthy, there need to be many people with such nicknames.

바나바는 건강해야 합니다.

Banaba must be healthy.

분풀이, 삐질이, 섭섭이, 짜증이, 울상이, 불만이 이런 별명이 교회에 많다면 그 교회는 건강하지 않겠죠.

If there are many nicknames like "venting," "grump," "disappointing," "irritable," "whining," and "dissatisfaction" in a church, that church is likely not healthy.

챙기는 자, 섬기는 자, 위로하는 자, 화평케 하는 자, 웃음을 주는 자,

The one who takes care, the one who serves, the one who comforts, the one who brings peace, the one who brings laughter,

약방의 감초와 같은 역할을 하는 사람들이 많은 교회일수록 그 교회는 행복한 교회일 것입니다.

The more a church has people who play the role of the "licorice" in a pharmacy, the happier that church will be.

사실 바나바는 자신의 재산을 팔아서 사람들을 섬기기 전부터

In fact, Barnabas served people even before he sold his possessions.

이미 사람들에게 진실되기로 정평이 나있던 사람입니다.

He is already known to be a truthful person among people.

뿐만 아니라 항상 이인자인 것을 기쁨으로 알고 다른 사람들을 섬겼습니다.

Moreover, I always knew that being this person was a joy and served others.

그 대표적인 예가 우리가 보았듯이 바로 사울이었던 교회를 핍박했던 그를 끄집어내서

A typical example of this, as we have seen, is that he pulled out Saul, who persecuted the church.

사도바울로 세우는데 엄청난 역할을 했던 사람입니다.

He is a person who played a significant role in establishing Apostle Paul.

성경의 대표적인 이인자.

A representative second-in-command of the Bible.

그러나 그가 하나님 앞에서 기쁨이었던 것을 성경은 우리들에게 증언합니다.

However, the Bible testifies that he was a joy before God.

그와 더불어서 두 번째로 등장하는 인물이 있습니다.

There is a second character who appears along with him.

바로 아이예요.

It's right away, the child.

아나니아와 삽비라는 부부가 등장합니다.

Ananias and Sapphira are a couple who appear.

자, 이들도 자신의 재산의 소유를 팔아서 교회 앞에 가져왔습니다.

Well, they too sold their possessions and brought the proceeds in front of the church.

그런데 재산을 팔고 그 값을 다 가져온 것처럼 위장하고

However, pretending to sell the property and bringing all the proceeds with them.

그 판 것에 얼마는 간추고 일부만 가져와서 그것이 전부인양 사도들을 속였습니다.

They summarized a certain amount of what they bought and brought only part of it, deceiving the apostles as if that were all.

자, 그게 오늘 본 말씀의 배경입니다.

Well, that's the background of the verse we discussed today.

1절.

Verse 1.

아나니아라 하는 사람이 그 안에 삽비라와 더불어 소유를 팔아.

A man named Ananias, along with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession.

여기까지 문제가 없습니다.

There are no problems up to this point.

그 값에서 얼마를 감추메 그 안에도 알더라.

Even if you hide some of that value, it's known within.

얼마만 가져다가 사도들의 발 앞에 두니.

How much should I bring and place in front of the apostles?

이 일로 인해서 아나니아와 삽비라가 베드로의 책망을 듣습니다.

As a result of this, Ananias and Sapphira hear Peter's rebuke.

이 사건의 전말을 이야기하지 않았는데도 영적인 분멸력이 있는 베드로.

Even without explaining the details of this incident, Peter has a spiritual power of destruction.

성경이 충만한 베드로는 이것을 이 내면을 알고 있습니다.

Peter, who is filled with the Bible, knows this inner self.

그리고 이런 책망을 합니다.

And gives such admonitions.

3절.

Verse 3.

베드로가 이르되.

Peter said.

아나니아야.

Ananias.

어찌하여 사탄이 내 마음에 가득하여 내가 성령을 속이고 땅값 얼마를 감추었느냐.

Why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land?

땅이 그대로 있을 때는 내 땅이 아니냐.

Isn't it my land when the land remains as it is?

그런 이야기죠.

That's the story.

판 후에도 내 마음대로 할 수가 없더냐.

Can I not do as I please even after the match?

어찌하여 이 일을 내 마음에 두었느냐.

Why have you set your heart on this matter?

사람에게 거짓말한 것이 아니오 하나님께로다.

I have not lied to a person, but to God.

여기까지도 우리가 이해할 수 있습니다.

We can understand this far as well.

그런데 우리를 굉장히 당황케 하는 사건이 벌어집니다.

However, an incident occurs that leaves us very bewildered.

아나니아가 이 책망을 받고 그 자리에서 즉사합니다.

Ananias received this rebuke and fell dead on the spot.

말 그대로 즉사합니다.

It means instant death.

5절 말씀.

Verse 5.

아나니아가 이 말을 듣고 엎드러져.

Ananias fell down when he heard these words.

혼이 떠나니.

The soul is departing.

이를 듣는 사람이 다 크게 두려워하더라.

Everyone who heard this was greatly afraid.

초대교회가 막 생기고 빗박이 있었지만 엄청난 계속해서 이 부흥과 기쁜 역사들을 감당을 하는데

Although the early church was just being established and faced persecution, it continued to manage an incredible revival and joyful history.

공동체 내부에 생긴 첫 번째 최대 비극이었습니다.

It was the first major tragedy that occurred within the community.

마치 찬물을 확 끼얹는 것 같은.

It feels like being splashed with cold water.

사실 이런 본문을 설교하려면 설교자도 고민이 이만저만이 아닙니다.

In fact, preaching on such a text is not easy for the preacher either.

분명 오늘 본문에 대한 인간적인 본능적인 생각은

Surely, the instinctive human thoughts about today's text are...

하나님이 사랑이 좀 부족하시고 은혜가 좀 없으시고

God is a bit lacking in love and has a bit of a deficiency in grace.

매정한 그런 하나님이 아니신가라는 생각이 인간의 본능적인 마음가운데 있을 수도 있습니다.

There may be a thought in the instinctive heart of humans that God is such a cruel being.

아니 이게 이렇게 죽을 일인가?

Is this really something to die over?

즉결 심판을 받은 일인가?

Is it something that was judged in a summary trial?

이 사람들이 가장 극악무도한 사람들인가?

Are these people the most ruthless of all?

아나니아 삽비라가 도대체 얼마나 큰 죄를 지었길래

What kind of great sin did Ananias and Sapphira commit?

이렇게 죽음까지 그것도 공개적으로 형벌을 받았는가?

Did they really have to face such a public punishment, even to the point of death?

공개적으로 정죄를 받은 거잖아요.

You were publicly condemned.

그 사람들도 자식이 있을지 모르고

They might not know that person has children.

그 사람들도 부모님이 있을지도 모르고

They might also have parents.

나름대로 환경과 나름대로 어떤 상황이 있었을 텐데

There must have been a certain environment and certain circumstances in its own way.

그런 생각이 왜 들지 않겠습니까?

Why wouldn't such a thought come to mind?

하나님은 오늘 아나니아와 삽비라의 죄를 굉장히 심각하게 다루십니다.

God takes the sins of Ananias and Sapphira very seriously today.

그리고 하나의 대표적인 예로 우리에게 던져주십니다.

And as a typical example, it is thrown at us.

그래서 우리도 이 사건을 하나님을 존중한다면

So if we respect God in this matter...

하나님을 존중하게 받아들여야 할 책임이 있습니다.

We have a responsibility to respect and accept God.

도대체 뭐가 문제였을까요?

What could have possibly been the problem?

오늘 본문 말씀 가운데에서 이 단어가 등장하진 않지만

Although this word does not appear in today's scripture passage,

성경 전체적인 맥락 속에서 우리가 하나를 살펴볼 수가 있습니다.

We can take a look at one within the overall context of the Bible.

그건 교만입니다. 프라이드, 교만.

That's arrogance. Pride, arrogance.

아나니아에게는 나를 가장 최고로 나타내고 싶은 마음이 있었을 것입니다.

Anania probably had a desire to present me in the best possible light.

바나바의 일이 사람들에게 알려졌습니다.

The work of Barnabas was made known to the people.

많은 사람들이 바나바를 굉장히 존경하고 사랑하고 있었는데

Many people greatly respected and loved Barnabas.

그가 이 전 재산을 받았을 때에

When he received this previous property.

바나바의 행동 때문에 바나바가 한 일은

Because of Barnabas's actions, what Barnabas did was

그의 인품과 더불어서 더 많은 이야깃거리가 되었을 것입니다.

Along with his character, it would have become more of a topic of discussion.

그리고 아마도 같은 공동체에 있었던 아나니아가 이 일을 시기했던 것 같습니다.

And it seems that Ananias, who was probably in the same community, envied this.

모든 거짓은 시기와 교만이라는 두 가지 축에서 동기에서 시작됩니다.

All lies begin from motivation in two dimensions: jealousy and pride.

그건 창세기에서부터 우리에게 가르쳐주는 것입니다.

That is something that teaches us from the beginning of Genesis.

에덴 동산의 범죄, 아담과 하와의 범죄,

The crime in the Garden of Eden, the sin of Adam and Eve,

하나님을 시기하고 질투해서 하나님과 같이 되고자 했던 그 교만함.

The arrogance that envied and was jealous of God, wanting to become like God.

그 교만함.

That arrogance.

시기에서 시작됐습니다.

It started with the timing.

거짓은 거기서부터 시작됐습니다.

The lie began from there.

사촌이 땅을 사면 배가 아프다는 이야기는 결코 남의 이야기가 아니라

The story that one feels envious when a cousin buys land is certainly not someone else's story.

인간의 모든 사람들의 본능의 이야기입니다.

It is the story of the instincts of all human beings.

아나니아는 바나바의 일 때문에 배가 아팠습니다.

Ananias had a stomachache because of Barnabas's affairs.

그래서 자기도 땅을 팔았습니다.

So he also sold his land.

그런데 속당과 반대인 것 같아요.

However, it seems to be the opposite of what I thought.

정말 웃긴 것은 사촌이 땅을 사서 배가 아픈 것이 아니라

What's really funny is not that my cousin bought land and I'm jealous.

사촌이 땅을 판 것을 보고 배가 아팠습니다.

I felt sick when I saw my cousin selling land.

그리고 자기 자신도 땅을 팔아...

And he also sells his own land...

바나바처럼 그렇게 칭송을 받기를 원했습니다.

I wanted to be praised like Barnabas.

아니 본능적으로 인간적으로 생각했을 때 이것까지도

No, when I instinctively and humanly thought about this, even this...

이게 죽을 일인가?

Is this something worth dying for?

라는 생각이 들기도 합니다.

I sometimes think that way.

문제는 땅을 팔아 명예를 살려고 했던 거죠.

The problem was trying to buy honor by selling land.

여기까지도 100번 양보해서 이게 뭐 그렇게 죽을 일인가?

Is it really a matter of life and death even after conceding 100 times up to this point?

그런데 사람들에게 자신이 최고임을 나타내고 싶었으면

However, if you wanted to show people that you are the best, then...

교만한 사람은 항상 거짓말을 만들어내게 돼 있습니다.

A proud person always tends to create lies.

실제 자기 자신보다 항상 더 높여야

You must always elevate yourself above your true self.

하기 때문입니다.

It is because of that.

워런 위어스비라는 저명한 신학자면서 목사님이 이런 말을 남겼습니다.

A prominent theologian and pastor named Warren Wiersbe left behind this saying.

위선은 실제 자기 자신보다 자기를 다른 사람들 앞에서

Hypocrisy is presenting oneself to others in a way that differs from who one truly is.

더 영적으로 높게 보이는 것.

Seeing things from a more spiritual height.

이 위선의 문제가 저에게도 있고 여러분들에게도 있고

The problem of this hypocrisy exists in me and in all of you as well.

우리 모두에게도 일정 부분 있다라는 것을 우리는 인정할 수밖에 없습니다.

We must admit that there is a certain part of it in all of us.

이건 다른 사람을 기만하고 자기 자신을 속이는 일입니다.

This is deceiving others and deceiving oneself.

그렇게 하는 이유 가운데 하나는 끊임없이 비교하고서는

One of the reasons for doing that is constantly comparing.

비교의식을 만들어내는 열등감 혹은 우월감 때문입니다.

It is due to feelings of inferiority or superiority that create a sense of comparison.

아나니아는 보여지는 것에만 신경을 썼지만 실제로 보이지 않는 이면에는

Anania only cared about what was visible, but in reality, behind the scenes that are not visible, there is...

너무나도 건강하지 않은 모습들이 쌓여 있었습니다.

There were many signs of being very unhealthy.

이게 튀어나온 거죠.

This popped out.

여러분 첫인상이 참 중요하지만 우리는 첫인상 때문에 사람을 쉽게

First impressions are really important, but we easily judge people because of them.

판단하는 잘못을 자주 범합니다.

I often make mistakes in judgment.

보여지는 것만으로 판단하는 것이 얼마나 잘못된 선택을 가져오는가를

How making judgments based only on what is visible can lead to such poor choices.

우리는 종종 깨닫습니다.

We often realize.

하나님은 우리의 중심을 보신다고 했습니다.

God said He looks at our hearts.

이것이 우리에게 얼마나 위로와 격려가 되는지 모르겠습니다.

I cannot express how much this brings us comfort and encouragement.

그런데 아나니아는 그의 교만으로 보여지는 자기 자신의 겉모습만으로

However, Ananias was only concerned with his appearance, which was seen as prideful.

사람의 중심을 보시는 전능하신 하나님을 공개적으로 속이려고 했던 것입니다.

They tried to publicly deceive the Almighty God, who sees the heart of man.

아나니아의 가장 큰 실수는 하나님을 상대로 사기를 치려고 했던 것입니다.

Ananias's biggest mistake was trying to deceive God.

하나님을 상대로 사기를 친다 인간이.

Humans deceive God.

이 표현을 들으셨습니다.

You heard this expression.

하나님의 표현이 너무하다고 생각하시면 성경 9절을 보시면 됩니다.

If you think God's expression is excessive, you can refer to the 9 verses in the Bible.

3절 말씀.

Verse 3.

성령을 속였다.

Deceived the Holy Spirit.

4절 말씀에 너희가 사람을 속인 것이 아니라 하나님을 하나님께

In the fourth verse, it says that you have not deceived people, but rather God.

거짓을 고했다라고 이야기합니다.

It is said that they confessed to a lie.

아나니아의 본심은 보이기 위한 것이었습니다.

Ananias's true intention was to be seen.

베드로의 말처럼 아나니아에게는 자신의 밭을 팔 권리도 있고 팔지

Like Peter said, Ananias had the right to sell his own field and to sell it.

않을 권리도 있고 바칠 권리도 있고 바치지 않을 권리도 있고 사람들을

There is the right not to give, the right to give, and the right not to give to people.

위해서 쓸 권리도 있고.

You also have the right to use it for that purpose.

바람을 피우고.

Cheating on someone.

자유도 있었습니다. 그런데 문제가 된 것은

You've fooled God.

그리고 거기에는 숨은 동기가

And there is a hidden motive.

실제로 자신의 내면의 세계는

그렇지 않은데 겉으로는 꽤 괜찮은

That's not the case, but on the surface, it's quite good.

사람인 것처럼 꽤 높은 사람인

A quite high person, as if they were human.

것처럼 그것을 포장하기 위해서

To wrap it up like that.

바나바처럼 재산을 팔았습니다.

I sold my possessions like Barnabas.

그리고

And

하나님께 다 드린 것처럼 하고

Pretending to give everything to God.

사람들을 기만하고 하나님을

Deceiving people and God.

속였습니다. 자기 자신도

I deceived myself.

속인 거죠.

You're being deceived.

이 아나니아와 삽비라의 실상은

The reality of Ananias and Sapphira is

마음에 평안이 없을 거예요. 왜냐하면

There won't be peace in your heart. Because

다른 사람들이 늘 나를 어떻게

How others always see me.

생각하느냐가 우선순위였기 때문에

Because thinking was the priority.

삶이 피곤했을 것입니다.

Life must have been exhausting.

우린 예배하면서

We are worshiping.

가장 중요한 중심이

The most important center.

하나님께서 지금 나를 어떻게 생각하시는가

How does God view me right now?

When persecution comes from the outside.

교회들은 오히려 더 부응하고

가장 어려운 문제는

The hardest question is

공동체 안에 있는 내부의 적이었습니다.

It was an internal enemy within the community.

아간의 범죄도 그랬습니다.

The crime of the uncle was the same.

불순종, 부정지, 시기와

Disobedience, negativity, jealousy and

다툼, 이런 문제들이 일어나면

Conflicts, when these issues arise.

공동체는 음진력을 보이는 것이 아니라

The community does not show a negative force.

그런 문제들 때문에

Because of those problems.

갈등을 경험하게 되고

Experiencing conflict

결국 무리를 지어서 당을 만들게 됩니다.

In the end, they will form a party by gathering in groups.

사탄이 가장 원하는 거죠.

That's what Satan desires the most.

가장 어려운 시험입니다.

It is the most difficult exam.

아나니아 삽비라는 문제는

The problem of Ananias and Sapphira is

그들 개인의 신앙의 문제를 떠나서

Leaving aside their personal issues of faith.

다른 사람들에게도 영향력을 주는 문제였습니다.

예수님께서 말씀하신 기도의 교훈

그렇게 금식도 하고

하나님은 그걸 보신다라는 거죠.

때로 하나님께서 매정하시다는

체명과 자존심 때문에 성령을 속이고

이거였죠.

소유하고 싶은 이 욕망은 거짓된 신화일 뿐입니다.

This desire to possess is nothing but a false myth.

그러나 자신의 모든 것을 다 팔아서

However, selling everything of one's own.

진리로서 우리에게 다가오신 분이 계십니다.

There is one who has come to us as the truth.

그리고 그 자신의 목숨과 판 것으로 거짓된 우리를 사신 분이 계십니다.

And there is one who purchased us, who are false, with his own life.

그분은 거짓과 죄에서 우리를 구하셔서

He saves us from lies and sin.

진실과 영혼으로 우리를 인도하시는 분

The one who guides us with truth and spirit.

바로 우리가 예배하는 하나님 아버지

The God the Father whom we worship right now.

그리고 그분이 보내신 아들 예수 크리스도이십니다.

And He is His Son, Jesus Christ, whom He sent.

우리가 우리의 일부로 다른 사람들을 속여서

Deceiving others as part of ourselves.

하나님을 속이고

이익을 취하고 있는 그 순간에도

Even in the moment of making a profit

예수님은 자신의 물과 피를 쏟으시며

Jesus shed His blood and water.

모든 것을 팔아서

Selling everything.

저와 여러분들을 구원하시고

He will save you and me.

우리의 인생을 사시지 않았습니까?

Did you not live our lives?

켈빈 밀러가 이런 말을 남겼습니다.

진실을 말할 용기가 부족한 사람은 거짓말을 한다.

수많은 매스컴에서 SNS에서 다 이야기를 하지만

Everyone is talking about it in the media and on social media.

결국 인간이 말할 수 있는 단 하나의 진리가 있다면

If there is only one truth that humans can speak of,

그의 모든 것을 파셔서

Selling everything of his.

거짓된 나의 인생을 사셔서 구원하신

You saved me by living my false life.

그 예수 크리스도 보금의 진리를 증거하시고

Testifying to the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

하는 것만 진리인 것입니다.

Doing alone is the truth.

그런데 그 진리를 증거하지 않는다면

However, if you do not testify to that truth,

난 거짓 가운데 있는 것이죠.

I am in the midst of a lie.

중간지대는 없습니다.

There is no middle ground.

회색지대는 진리가 아닙니다.

The gray area is not the truth.

나는 여전히 부족하고 여전히 죄인인데

I am still lacking and still a sinner.

하나님께 다가갈수록 내 그 죄가 느껴지지만

The closer I get to God, the more I feel my sins.

왜 이 구멍난 질글과 같은 인생에

Why in this life that resembles a hole-ridden fabric?

심이 큰 보아인 그 하나 대신 진리이신 예수님을

Instead of the great boa that is huge, the one who is truth, Jesus.

나의 삶 가운데 부어주셨을까?

Has it been poured out into my life?

왜 그 진리의 진리인 예수님을 부어주셨을까?

Why did He pour out the truth of the truth, Jesus?

그것은 땅끝까지 이르러서 단 하나의 진리이신

It is the one truth that reaches to the ends of the earth.

그 예수님을 증거하라고 우리에게 주신 것이죠.

He has given us to bear witness to that Jesus.

우리의 인생은 진리가 없습니다.

Our life has no truth.

그러나 나에게 담겨주신 그 보금

However, the gospel that you have entrusted to me.

그것만이 진리인 것을 깨달으며

Realizing that it is the only truth.

그 진리를 증거하시는 저와 여러분들

We who bear witness to that truth.

그리고 하나님 앞에서 그것을 통하여서

And through that before God.

이 세상에 진리처럼 보이는 수많은 유혹들이 넘쳐나고

There are countless temptations in this world that seem like the truth.

매스컴, SNS, 가상공간에서 끊임없이

Constantly in mass media, SNS, and virtual spaces.

이것이 진리라고 여기에 투자하라고

This is the truth, so invest here.

이게 맞다고 외쳐야 되는 수많은 것들이 있지만

There are many things that need to be shouted out as being right, but...

그 수많은 것들의 속임수와 거짓과 위장이 숨어있다는 사실

The fact that there are countless deceptions, lies, and disguises hidden within those things.

그리고 마지막 시대에 수많은 것들이 숨어있다는 사실을

And the fact that many things are hidden in the last days.

그것들이 우리를 미혹하고 있음을 오늘 말씀을 통해서

Through today's message, those things are misleading us.

주님 앞에 또한 겸허하게 고백합니다.

I humbly confess before the Lord.

그 위험한 한복판에 우리 그리스도인들이 서있다는 것

The fact that we Christians are standing in the midst of that danger.

그리고 우리 한 사람 한 사람이 하나님 앞에 온전히 설 수 없는

And none of us can stand completely before God.

부족한 죄인임을 이 시간 주님 앞에 고백합니다.

I confess before the Lord at this time that I am a lacking sinner.

그러나 그럼에도 불구하고

However, nonetheless.

거룩하신 예수 그리스도의 보열로 우리를 덮어주시고

Cover us with the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

우리가 여전히 부족한 죄인임에도

Even though we are still lacking sinners.

그 희장을 가르신 하나님의 아들을 통하여서

Through the Son of God who teaches that grace.

주님 앞에 경배하고

우리 인생에 외칠 수 있는 단 한 가지의 진리가 있다면
