선한 사마리아인의 비유, 이런 제모로 말씀을 나누겠습니다.

I will share a message with the parable of the Good Samaritan.

오늘부터 누가복음을 중심으로 예수님께서 들려주신 비유에 대한 말씀을 나누려고 합니다.

Starting today, I will share messages about the parables that Jesus told, focusing on the Gospel of Luke.

비유라는 것은 영적인 진리를 가르치시기 위해서 예수님께서 사용하셨던 특별하신 방법을 말합니다.

A parable refers to the special method that Jesus used to teach spiritual truths.

우리 주변에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 상황을 예로 들어서 하나님 나라의 진리를 설명하셨던 것이 비유입니다.

The parables are examples where truths of the Kingdom of God were explained using situations commonly seen around us.

쉽죠. 우리가 이해하기 쉽습니다.

It's easy. We can understand it easily.

그렇지만 쉬운 얘기지만 그 속에는 하나님 나라의 영적인 진리가 담겨 있습니다.

However, it is an easy statement, but within it lies the spiritual truth of the kingdom of God.

비유를 묵상하다 보면 영적인 진리를 발견하게 되고 이 진리가 우리 삶을 변화시키는 것을 체험하게 되는 것입니다.

As we meditate on metaphors, we come to discover spiritual truths, and we experience how these truths transform our lives.

오늘 살펴보게 되는 이 선한 사마리아인의 비유도 그것과 같은 말씀입니다.

The parable of the Good Samaritan that we will examine today is a message similar to that.

그런 비유의 말씀이죠.

That's a metaphorical statement.

많은 사람들이 도전을 받았고 이 말씀을 통해서 자기의 삶을 주님께 헌신했던 말씀입니다.

Many people have been challenged, and it is a message through which they dedicated their lives to the Lord.

이런 이름 들어보신 적이 있죠.

You've heard this name before, right?

굿 사마리탄 하스피탈, 이런 이름 들어보신 적 있죠.

You've heard of the name Good Samaritan Hospital, right?

선한 사마리아 병원, 이런 이름들이 북미주에 많이 있습니다.

There are many names like Good Samaritan Hospital in North America.

오늘 이 비유의 말씀을 듣고서 도전을 받은 사람들이 자기의 삶을 헌신해서 이웃을 돕기 위해서 세운 병원들이 이런 이름을 가진 병원들입니다.

Today, the hospitals with such names were established by people who were inspired by the words of this parable and dedicated their lives to helping their neighbors.

굿 사마리탄 소사이예요.

It's the Good Samaritan Society.

이런 이름도 있고요.

There are also names like this.

이런 이름도 있습니다.

There are also names like this.

모두 다 똑같은 이유입니다.

It's all for the same reason.

선한 이웃을, 이웃에게 선한 사람이 되고자 이런 단체들을 세운 것입니다.

We established these organizations to become good people to our neighbors and to be good neighbors.

이처럼 예수님의 비유는 사람의 마음을 변화시키는 능력이 있습니다.

In this way, the parables of Jesus have the power to change a person's heart.

이 비유 속에 담겨있는 영적인 진리가 발견되게 될 때 우리 삶의 변화가 일어나는 겁니다.

When the spiritual truth contained in this metaphor is discovered, a change in our lives occurs.

오늘 이런 마음을 가지고 이 말씀을 들었으면 좋겠어요.

I hope you listen to these words with this feeling today.

하나님께서 오늘 주시는 말씀을 통해서 내 삶에도 뭔가 변화를 주실 것이다.

God will bring some change to my life through the message He gives today.

이런 기대감을 갖고 이 말씀을 들어야 할 것입니다.

One should listen to these words with such expectations.

이 선한 사마리아인의 비유가 어떤 내용인지 모르는 분들은 없을 거예요.

I don't think there is anyone who doesn't know the content of the parable of the Good Samaritan.

강도 만난 사람을 제사장과 레이위는 지나쳤지만 사마리아 사람이 이 사람을 도와주었다.

The priest and the Levite passed by the person who was robbed, but a Samaritan helped him.

이런 내용이죠.

That's the kind of content.

이 말씀을 나누는 것은 이 내용을 몰라서 말씀을 드리는 것이 아니라

Sharing this message is not because I do not know this content, but rather

이 말씀 속에 담겨있는 의미를 다시 살펴보려고 말씀을 드리는 겁니다.

I am going to talk to review the meaning contained in this statement again.

이 비유를 통해서 주님께서 우리에게 무엇을 말씀하시려고 하고

Through this analogy, what is the Lord trying to tell us?

또 어떤 것을 원하시겠습니까?

What else would you like?

어떤 변화를 원하시는가를 찾기 위해서 이 말씀을 나누는 것입니다

I am sharing these words to find out what changes you wish for.

오늘 본문은 이렇게 시작하죠

Today's text starts like this.

누가 보면 10장 25절

Luke 10:25

어떤 율법교사가 이르되 이르나 예수를 시험하여 이르되

And a certain lawyer stood up, testing Him, saying.

예수님을 찾아온 율법교사가 있었어요

There was a teacher of the law who came to see Jesus.

그리고 예수님께 질문을 시작합니다

And they begin to ask Jesus questions.

이 사람에 대한 행동을 여러분 잘 보실 필요가 있습니다

You need to closely observe this person's behavior.

그의 행동이 이 비유가 나오게 되는 이 백그라운드가 되는 겁니다

His actions serve as the background for this metaphor to arise.

이 사람의 행동을 잘 살펴봐야 돼요

You need to closely observe this person's behavior.

율법교사가 예수님께 무엇을 해야지 영생을 얻습니까?

What must I do to inherit eternal life?

이렇게 질문을 하고 있지만

I'm asking this question like this, but...

영생에 관한 질문처럼 보이는 이 질문이지만

This question seems to be about eternal life, but...

25절을 잘 보시면 예수를 시험하여 이르되 이렇게 말씀을 하고 있습니다

If you look closely at verse 25, it says that they were testing Jesus and speaking as follows.

영생에 관심이 없었다는 얘기예요

It means that there was no interest in eternal life.

질문은 그렇게 질문하고 있지만

The question is being asked that way, but...

정말 관심은 영생이 아니었다는 겁니다

It turns out that the real interest was not in immortality.

그의 관심은 다른 곳에 있었습니다

His attention was elsewhere.

어디에 있었느냐

Where have you been?

29절에 보면

In verse 29, it says...

그 사람이 자기를 옳게 보이려고 예수께 여쭤보되

That person asked Jesus to be seen as right.

그 사람의 관심은 자기를 옳게 보이는 것에 관심이었습니다

That person's interest was in appearing right.

자기 자신의 관심이었고

It was my own interest.

자기가 어떤 평가를 듣는가가 이 율법사의 최대의 관심이었어요

What mattered most to the lawmaker was what kind of evaluation he would receive.

실제로 자기가 그렇게 좋은 평가를 듣고 있다라고 생각을 하고 있었습니다

In reality, I was thinking that I was receiving such a good evaluation.

그것을 예수님께 자랑하고 싶었던 거예요

I wanted to brag about it to Jesus.

예수님도 나의 모습을 좀 보고 확인해 주십시오

Please take a look at my appearance and confirm, Jesus.

이렇게 자랑하고 싶었던 것입니다

I wanted to show off like this.

어떻게 해서 이 율법교사가 자기 자신을

How did this teacher of the law come to see himself?

스스로 옳다고 생각했는가

Did you think you were right?

그 이유가 그 다음 질문에 나오는데

The reason will come up in the next question.

29절에서 자기를 옳게 보이려고 예수께 여쭤보되

In verse 29, he asked Jesus in order to justify himself.

그러면 내 이웃이 누굽니까? 이렇게 말씀이 이어집니다

Then who is my neighbor? This is how the conversation continues.

그러면 내 이웃이 누구입니까?

Then who is my neighbor?

이 질문 속에 왜 자기 자신을 옳게 여겼는지가 들어있어요

This question contains why one considers oneself to be right.

예수님이 하나님을 사랑하고 이웃을 사랑하라고 말씀하셨더니

Jesus said to love God and to love your neighbor.

그 말씀을 듣고 내 이웃이 누굽니까? 이렇게 물어보는 거예요

"Who is my neighbor?" is what I ask after hearing that.

이웃을 사랑하는 말씀에 대해서 내 이웃이 누굽니까? 이렇게 물었습니다

"Who is my neighbor?" I asked about the words about loving one's neighbor.

몰라서요

I don't know.

몰라서 묻는 것이 아니라

It's not that I'm asking because I don't know.

유대인들에게는 이웃에 대한 개념이 정확하게 있었어요

The Jews had a clear concept of neighbor.

이 사람은 이웃, 이 사람은 이웃이 아니다

This person is a neighbor, this person is not a neighbor.

정확한 개념이 있었습니다

There was a clear concept.

유대인들은 이웃이었고

The Jews were neighbors, and

유대인이 아닌 이방인들은 전부 다 이웃이 아니었어요

Non-Jews were all not neighbors.

그 사람들에게는 선을 베풀지 않아도

Even if you don't do good for those people

율법에 위배된다고 생각하지 않았습니다

I didn't think it was against the law.

지금 그런 생각을 가지고서 질문을 하고 있는 거예요

I'm asking a question with that kind of thought in mind right now.

예수님이 이웃을 사랑하라고 말씀하셨는데

Jesus said to love your neighbor.

우리가 생각하는 이웃에 대해서는

About the neighbors we think of.

또 뭐가 필요합니까? 이렇게 묻는 거예요

What else do you need? That's what I'm asking.

이 정도면 예수님도 나를 의롭다고 인정해 주셔야 되는 것 아닙니까?

Isn't this enough for Jesus to acknowledge me as righteous?

라고 질문을 하고 있는 겁니다

I am asking that question.

이런 상황에서 이 비유가 시작되는 거예요

This is where the analogy begins in this situation.

선한 사마리아인의 비유가 시작되면서

As the parable of the Good Samaritan begins

주님이 이웃이 누군가를 설명하고 있다는 것입니다

It means that the Lord is explaining who a neighbor is.

그렇다면 여러분

Then, everyone.

이런 배경에서 비유가 나왔다면

If a metaphor emerged in this context

무엇을 말씀하셨는지가 짐작이 되지 않습니까?

Can't you guess what was said?

뭘 말씀하셨는지가 분명해져요

It becomes clear what you said.

하나님이 옳다고 인정하는 사람이 누군가를 말씀하시려는 거예요

God is trying to tell us who the person is that He recognizes as righteous.

스스로 의롭다고 생각하는 사람들을 향해서

Towards those who think of themselves as righteous.

정말로 의로운 것이 뭔가

What is truly righteous?

그걸 예수님이 가르쳐 주시려는 거예요

That's what Jesus is trying to teach us.

이 비유 속에는 세 종류의 사람이 등장합니다

This metaphor features three types of people.

이 사람들을 등장시키시는 것은

Bringing these people in is

자기 자신을 스스로 옳다고 여기는 사람들을 향해서

Towards those who consider themselves to be right.

정말 너가 옳은지 한번 확인해보라

Really check if you are right.

비교해보라고 말씀하시는 거예요

You're telling me to compare.

우리 자신의 모습이 어떤 것인가를

What our own 모습 is like.

이들과 비교하면서

Comparing with these.

정체를 깨닫도록 하시기 위해서는

In order to realize the true identity.

이 말씀을 주시는 겁니다

This is what you are being told.

이제 제가 이 세 사람에 대해서 하나씩 설명을 드릴 텐데

Now I will explain each of these three people one by one.

여러분 이들을 보면서

Everyone, looking at these individuals...

우리가 생각해야 될 것이 있습니다

There is something we need to consider.

두 가지를 생각하셔야 돼요

You need to think of two things.

하나는 우리에게도 그 모습이 있는가

Do we also have that appearance?

이걸 생각하셔야 되고

You need to think about this.

또 하나는 정말 주님이 원하시는 모습이 무엇인가를 생각하셔야 됩니다

Another thing is that you need to think about what the Lord truly desires.

이런 것을 생각하시면서 들으실 때

When you listen while thinking about such things

우리를 향한 하나님의 뜻이 이 말씀 속에서 발견되어질 줄 믿습니다

I believe that God's will for us can be found in these words.

첫 번째 등장하는 사람은

The first person to appear is

17길의 강도입니다

It's a robbery on 17th Street.

10장 30절 우리 같이 한번 읽겠습니다

Let's read chapter 10, verse 30 together.

예수께서 대답하여 이르시되

Jesus answered and said,

어떤 사람이 이루살렘에서

A person in Jerusalem

강도들이 그 옷을 벗기고 때려 죽은 것을 버리고 갔더라

The robbers stripped off his clothes and left him to die after beating him.

이루살렘에서 여리고로 내려가는 길

The road from Jerusalem down to Jericho.

경사가 심하고 길이 험해서

The slope is steep and the road is rugged.

강도들이 자주 나타났었다고 합니다

It is said that robbers often appeared.

강도는 지나가는 사람을 붙잡아서

The robber grabbed a passerby.

가진 것을 빼앗고

Taking away what you have.

실컷 때렸습니다

I hit (them) enough.

얼마나 심하게 때렸던지 거의 죽을 지경이 되었다고 말씀합니다

They say they were beaten so badly that they were almost close to death.

강도는 지나가는 사람을 붙잡아서 가진 것을 빼앗고

The robber catches a passerby and takes away what they have.

그 상태로 만들어 놓고서 그냥 간 겁니다

They just left it like that and went away.

나쁜 사람이죠

He is a bad person.

참 나쁜 사람입니다

You are a very bad person.

돈이 필요했으면 돈만 뺐으면 되지

If you needed money, you could have just taken the money out.

왜 때립니까

Why is it?

때리고 싶으면 몇 대만 때리면 되지

If you want to hit me, just hit me a few times.

왜 죽을 지경이 되도록 때립니까

Why are you hitting me to the point of near death?

참 나쁜 사람이에요

He is really a bad person.

영국의 철학자 베이커는

The British philosopher Baker

이런 사람을 뭐라고 불렀냐면

What do you call someone like this?

거미형 인간 이렇게 불렀어요

They called him Spider-Man.

거미형 인간

Spider-human

거미는 이렇게 거미줄을 딱 쳐놓고

The spider sets up its web like this.

딱 숨어있다가 지나가던 곤충이 딱 걸리면

When a passing insect gets caught just like that.

얼른 가서 이렇게 잡아먹는 동물 아닙니까

Isn't it an animal that quickly goes and eats like this?

곤충 아닙니까

Isn't it an insect?

피를 싹 이렇게 빨아먹어서 이 사람을 죽이는 것이 거미형이에요

This person is killed by sucking their blood like this; it's the spider type.

거미예요

It's a spider.

자기밖에 모르는 이기적인 인간

A selfish person who knows only themselves.

이렇게 불렀어요

I called it like this.

그러면서 이런 사람은 이 사회에서 없어져야 될 사람이라고

And such a person should disappear from this society.

이야기했습니다

I talked.

정말 맞는 것 같지 않습니까

Don't you think it really seems right?

그 말대로 이 강도는 차라리 없었으면 좋을 사람

As you said, this robber is someone who would rather not exist.

그 모습 그대로예요

It's exactly as it is.

없어야지 편한 사람

You shouldn't have someone you're comfortable with.

그런 사람입니다

That kind of person.

그런데 여러분 이 강도를 보면서 우리가 이렇게 비난하기 전에

However, before we criticize like this while looking at this intensity,

이렇게 참 흥분하기 전에

Before getting this excited

먼저 한 가지 생각해 볼 필요가 있어요

First, we need to think about one thing.

그건 뭐냐면

What that means is

왜 그가 이런 일을 했을까 하는 부분이에요

It's the part where I wonder why he did such a thing.

왜 그가 이런 강도 짓을 했을까

Why did he commit such robbery?

강도니까 그런 짓을 하지 무슨 이유가 있습니까

Because it's a robbery, there's no reason for that kind of act.

그렇게 생각하실 수 있어요

You may think so.

그런데 여러분

But everyone,

예수님께서 이 강도를 여기서 등장시키고 있다는 것을 보면

Seeing that Jesus is introducing this robber here,

우리가 지금 생각할 부분들이 있다는 겁니다

There are things we need to think about right now.

이 강도는 주연은 아니지만

This robber is not the main character, but...

아주 중요한 역할을 맡고 있는 조연쯤

A supporting role that plays a very important part.

조연급에 해당되는 사람이라는 거예요

It means that someone is in a supporting role.

뭔가 좀 생각해 볼 필요가 있다는 얘기예요

It means that we need to think about something a bit.

이 비유를 이렇게 말씀하셨을 때도 있었을 거예요

There may have been times when you spoke of this analogy like this.

예리구에서 예리설렘에서부터

From Yerigu to Yerusalim.

예리구로 내려가는 길에

On the way down to Yeongju.

가다가 발을 헛디뎌서

I stumbled while walking.

막 굴러떨어져서 죽을 지경이 되었다

I nearly died after rolling down.

이렇게 말씀하셨어도

Even though you said it like this,

전혀 문제가 없는 것이죠

It's not a problem at all.

그런데 강도를 등장시켜서 강도를 만났다

But then they introduced the robber and met the robber.

이렇게 말씀하신 것은

What you said like this is

뭔가 좀 생각해 볼 것들이 있다는 말씀이에요

It means there are some things to think about.

어떻게 이 강도가

How is this intensity?

이런 나쁜 짓을 했을까

Did I do something so wrong?

왜 했을까

Why did I do it?

강도는

The robber is.

사람을 볼 때

When I see a person

사람으로 본 것이 아니라

It wasn't seen as a person.

하나의 수단으로 봤습니다

I saw it as a means.

무슨 수단

What means?

자기의 목적을 채우는

Fulfilling one's purpose.

수단으로 봤어요

I saw it as a means.

이 사람을 이용할 대상으로만 생각한 겁니다

I only thought of this person as a target to be used.

그랬더니 그래서

So that's why.

그 사람의 돈을 빼앗고

Steal that person's money.

그 사람을 실컷 때렸던 거예요

I beat that person up thoroughly.

사람을 사랑할 대상으로 본 것이 아니라

It was not seen as an object to be loved.

이용할 대상으로 보았더니

I saw it as a target to use.

서슴치 않고 이 나쁜 짓을 저질렀어요

Without hesitation, I committed this bad deed.

이용할 대상으로 본 거예요

I saw it as something to be used.

이것이 오늘 본문이 말하고 있는

This is what the text is saying today.

강도의 모습입니다

It is the appearance of a robber.

물리적인 힘을 가해서

By applying physical force

돈을 빼앗아야지만 강도가 아니라

It's not just considered robbery if you have to take away money.

사랑하라고 주신 우리 이웃을 사랑하지 않고

Without loving our neighbors whom we were given to love.

이용할 대상으로

As a target for use

또는 이용해 먹을 수단으로 생각한다면

Or if you think of it as a means to take advantage of.

그것이 누구냐

Who is that?

강도라는 거예요

It means "It's a robbery."

하나님이 우리에게 이용하라고 주신 것은

What God has given us to use is

사람이 아니라 돈입니다

It's not a person, it's money.

사람을 주신 것은

The reason we were given people is

사람을 사랑하라고 주신 거예요

It is given to love people.

사람은 사랑하라고 주신 것이고

People were given to love.

돈은 이용하라고 주신 것인데

Money is given to be used.

이 두 가지를 스위치하면

If you switch these two things

바꾸면 강도가 되는 거죠

If you change it, it becomes strength.

여러분 강도가 되는 것은

Becoming a thug is

하나도 어렵지 않습니다

Not difficult at all.

하나도 어렵지 않아요

It's not difficult at all.

사람 대신 돈을 사랑하면 강도가 되는 거예요

If you love money instead of people, you become a thief.

사람 대신 돈을 사랑하니까

Because I love money instead of people.

그 사람을 이용할 수단으로

As a means to use that person.

전락시켜 버린다는 그 말씀이에요

It's what you said about bringing someone down.

여러분 무슨 말인지 이해가 되십니까?

Do you all understand what I am saying?

그렇다면 오늘 본문에 나오고 있는 이 강도는

Then the robber mentioned in today's text is

과연 누구를 말씀하시는 것인가

I wonder who you are talking about.

누구를 가리키는 말씀인가

Who are you referring to?

여기에 이 비유의 놀라운 점이 숨겨져 있어요

The amazing aspect of this analogy is hidden here.

예수님의 비유를 듣고 있는 이 사람들

The people listening to Jesus' parables.

이 앞에 있는 이 율법교사와

This law teacher in front of me

이 많은 예수님의 제자들

So many disciples of Jesus.

그 사람들이 앞에 있었을 것이며

Those people would have been in front.

이 비유를 듣고 있었을 거예요

You would have been listening to this analogy.

그 사람들을 향해서 대놓고서

In front of those people.

너가 강도다

You are a robber.

이렇게 주님이 말씀하시지는 않았지만

The Lord did not speak this way, however.

다들 이 말씀이

Everyone's saying this.

자기를 향한 말씀이라고 생각을 했을 겁니다

They probably thought it was a message directed at them.

우리가 느끼는 것과 똑같지 않았겠어요?

It wouldn't be the same as what we feel, right?

이렇게 한다면

If you do it this way.

정말 사람을 이용할 대상으로 생각한다면

If you truly think of people as objects to be used.

이 사람이 강도라고 말씀하신다면

If you say this person is a robber…

내가 강도가 아닐까 우리도 생각하는 것처럼

What if I’m the robber, just like we think?

예수님의 말씀을 듣고 있는

Listening to the words of Jesus.

일단 그 사람들도 그랬을 거예요

Well, those people probably felt the same way.

여리고의 강도를 보면서

Watching the strength of the river.

저 사람은 차라리 없어져야 될 사람이라고

That person should rather disappear.

비난하고 싶어하는 우리를 향해서

Towards us who want to criticize.

이 강도가 바로 나일 수 있다라고

This intensity could be me right now.

주님이 말씀하고 있다는 겁니다

It means that the Lord is speaking.

여러분 만일

Everyone, if

이 강도가 자기 앞을 지나가는 사람이

This thug is someone who is passing in front of him.

하나님의 형상을 따라 지은 받은 사람이고

He is a person created in the image of God.

천하보다 귀한 한 영혼이라고 생각을 했더라면

If I had thought of a single soul as more precious than the world...

칼을 들고서 이 사람을 때릴 수 있었겠습니까?

Could you have hit this person while holding a knife?

때릴 수 있었겠습니까? 없었겠습니까?

Could you have hit [them]? Or could you not?

없었죠 절대로 때릴 수 없었습니다

There was absolutely no way to hit.

그렇게 생각하지 않았기 때문에

Because I didn't think that way.

이 강도 짓을 저질른 것이죠

They committed this robbery.

이것이 강도의 문제였어요

This was a matter of intensity.

우리도 마찬가지입니다

We are the same.

우리 앞을 지나가는 사람을 보면서

Looking at the person passing in front of us.

우리 앞에 있는 사람들을 보면서

Looking at the people in front of us.

그들을 사랑하고 그들을 섬겨야 될 대상으로 보지 않고

Without seeing them as beings to love and serve.

이용할 대상으로만 본다면

If we only consider it as a target for use,

나의 이익을 위해서 저 사람을 사용하고

Using that person for my own benefit.

이용하려고만 한다면

If you just intend to use it.

우리도 여리고의 강도와 똑같다는 겁니다

We are just like the robbers of Jericho.

다르지 않다는 거예요

It means it’s not different.

제가 앞에서 이 비유가

I mentioned this analogy earlier.

이 비유를 들을 때 두 가지를 기억하시라고 했잖아요

You said to remember two things when hearing this analogy.

하나는 우리에게도 저런 모습이 있지 않은가

Don't we also have such appearances?

그리고 또 한 가지는

And one more thing is

하나님이 정말 원하시는 모습이 무엇인가

What is the image that God truly desires?

두 가지를 생각해보시라고 했죠

I asked you to think about two things.

우리 속에도 이런 모습이 있을 수 있다는 겁니다

It means that there can be such feelings within us as well.

그럼 하나님이 원하시는 모습이 뭐냐

Then what is the image that God desires?

이런 실수를 범하지 않으려면

To avoid making such mistakes.

주님께서 뭐라고 말씀하셨는지를

What the Lord has said.

우리가 들어봐야 됩니다

We need to listen.

율법사에게 강조하신 말씀이 이 말씀이에요

The words you emphasized to the lawyer are these words.

그 앞에 나오는 누가 보면 10장

Luke chapter 10 that comes before that.

26절과 27절 말씀이에요

It's the verses 26 and 27.

예수께서 이러실 때

When Jesus said this

율법에 무엇이라 기록되었으면

What is written in the law?

내가 어떻게 읽느냐

How I read.

율법에 뭐라고 기록되어 있느냐라고 물었더니

He asked, "What is written in the law?"

이 율법 교사가 대답하죠

The teacher of the law answers.

마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 힘을 다하여 뜻을 다하여

With all my heart, with all my life, with all my strength, with all my will.

하나님을 사랑하고 이웃을 사랑하라 하였나이다

You said to love God and to love your neighbor.

이렇게 대답했어요

I answered like this.

그랬더니 주님께서

Then the Lord said,

내 말이 옳다 이를 행하라

My words are right, act on them.

그렇게 말씀하십니다

That’s what you say.

예수님께서는 율법에 나와있는 내용이

Jesus said that what is written in the law is

하나님을 사랑하는 것이고

It is loving God.

이웃을 사랑하는 것이라고 강조하셨습니다

He emphasized that it is about loving your neighbor.

먼저 하나님 사랑에 대해서 강조하고 있어요

First, it emphasizes the love of God.

여러분 하나님을 사랑하는 것이

Loving God is something for everyone.

어떻게 하는 것이 하나님을 사랑하는 겁니까

How do we love God?

하나님 사랑한다는 것을

I love God.

어떻게 표현할 수 있겠습니까

How can I express this?

예배로 표현하는 것 아닙니까

Isn't it expressed through worship?

우리가 하나님을 사랑하기 때문에

Because we love God.

오늘도 이 자리에 나와서

Today, I am here again.

하나님께 예배를 드리는 것 아니겠어요

Isn't it to worship God?

여러분이 이 자리에서 예배를 드리는 것은

The fact that you are worshiping in this place is...

바쁜 일을 다 제껴놓고

Putting aside all the busy work.

이 시간에 여기서 나와서 예배를 드린다는 것은

Coming out here to worship at this time means that

하나님을 사랑하는 마음대로

As you love God.

이 자리에 나와서 예배를 드리는 것 아니겠습니까

Isn't it to come out here and worship?

예배를 통해서 내 마음을

Through worship, my heart

드림으로써 하나님에 대한

By dreaming of God

사랑을 표현하는 것입니다

It is to express love.

그래서 예배의 핵심은 어디 있냐면

So the core of worship is where?

예배는 드리는 거예요

Worship is something you do.

예배의 핵심은

The essence of worship is

드리는 것이 있어요

I have something to give you.

그래서 예배를 표현할 때도

So when expressing worship,

예배를 본다라고 표현하지 않고

Instead of saying "to attend a worship service"

예배를 어떻게 한다고 표현합니까

How do you express that you conduct a worship service?

예배를 드린다라고 표현하는 거예요

It means expressing that you are holding a worship service.

여러분 이 말씀을 잘 기억하셔야 됩니다

Everyone, you need to remember this well.

그냥 쉽게 사람들끼리 이야기할 때도

Even when people are just talking easily among themselves

오늘 예배 보러 가자 그렇게 말씀하시면

Let's go to worship today if you say so.

안되는 거죠

It won't work.

어떻게 표현해야 됩니까

How should I express it?

예배 드리러 가야 된다 이렇게 하는 거예요

I have to go to worship like this.

아주 작은 부분에서도 예배의 핵심은

The essence of worship lies even in very small details.

우리가 놓치지 않고 기억할 수 있어야 됩니다

We must remember it without missing it.

예배는 드리는 겁니다

Worship is something to be offered.

하나님께 내 마음을 드리는 것이 예배죠

Worship is giving my heart to God.

그런데

However

이 하나님에 대한 사랑이 식어지게 되면

When the love for this God grows cold

어떻게 되느냐

What will happen?

예배를 통해서

Through worship.

나를 드리는 것보다도

Rather than giving myself

무엇을 얻을 것인가에

What will you gain?

관심을 갖기 시작해요

I'm starting to take an interest.

하나님을 사랑할 뿐으로 여기는 것이 아니라

Not just considering it as loving God,

하나님을 이용할 대상으로

As a tool to be used for God.

삼기 시작하는 겁니다

It starts to cool down.

강도예요 강도

It's a robbery, a robbery.

강도가

The thief.

그게 강도예요

That's robbery.

하나님이 원하시는 것은 아무것도 안 드리고

What God desires is to give nothing.

이 자리에 앉아서 하나님 나는 이런 것이 필요하니까

Sitting here, God, I need something like this.

이것만 주세요 라고 받아내려고 한다면

If you are trying to just get this, then...

그 사람이 누구예요

Who is that person?

강도라는 거예요 강도

It's called a robbery, a robbery.

내가 원하는 것만 받아내려고 한다면

If you only want to get what you desire.

그것이 강도가 아니겠습니까

Isn't that a strong point?

강도의 심보죠

It's the mindset of a robber.

그래서 주님은 뭐라고 말씀하셨냐면

So what did the Lord say?

하나님을 사랑하라 말씀하셨고

He said to love God.

그 말씀과 이어서 이웃을 사랑하라 말씀하셨어요

He said that and then told us to love our neighbors.

두 가지 말씀은 사실 하나의 말씀과 똑같다는 거예요

The two statements are actually the same as one statement.

하나님의 말씀과 똑같다는 거예요

It means the same as God's word.

이웃을 사랑하라고 말씀하신 것은

What you said about loving your neighbor is

그 사람들이 하나님의 형상을 따라서

Those people are made in the image of God.

지음받은 사람들이기 때문에

Because they are people who have received a calling.

사랑하라고 말씀하신 거예요

You’re telling me to love.

이웃을 사랑한다는 얘기는 결국 무슨 얘기냐

What does it really mean to love your neighbor?

하나님을 사랑하는 것과 같다는 겁니다

It is like loving God.

이것을 에베소서에서는 이렇게 표현합니다

This is expressed like this in Ephesians.

에베소서 5장 22절 말씀이에요

It's the verse from Ephesians 5:22.

이 말씀은

This word/statement is

여자분들이 큰 목소리를 읽으셔야 되는데

Women need to read with a loud voice.

다같이 큰 목소리를 한번 읽겠습니다

아내들이요

Wives.

남편에게 복종하기를 죽게 하듯하라

Make it seem as if you are dying to obey your husband.

죽게 하듯하라

Do it as if it will kill you.

너무너무 기분 좋은 말씀이죠

That's such a wonderful thing to say.

남자분들은 굉장히 이 말씀 가운데 흥분하시는데

The men get very excited about these words.

남자분들에게만 이렇게 말씀하지 않았습니다

I didn't say this only to the men.

죄송하게도

I apologize.

남편이 아내를 대할 때도

When a husband treats his wife

주님을 대하듯하라 이렇게 말씀하셨어요

He said, "Treat Him as you would treat the Lord."

윗사람이 아랫사람을 대할 때도

When a superior interacts with a subordinate.

역시 주님을 대하듯하라 말씀하셨고

He said to treat [everyone] as if they were the Lord.

아랫사람이 윗사람을 대할 때도

Even when subordinates interact with their superiors

주님을 대하듯하라 말씀하셨습니다

He said to treat others as if you are treating the Lord.

모든 사람 우리가 대하듯하라니까요

Treat everyone as we would treat ourselves.

모든 사람 우리가 대하듯하라 말씀하셨습니다

He said that we should treat everyone as we would like to be treated.

우리가 대하는 모든 사람을 향해서

Towards everyone we encounter.

주님을 대하듯하라 말씀하십니다

He says to treat others as you would treat the Lord.

에베소서 6장 7절에도 그렇게 되어 있어요

It's the same in Ephesians 6:7.

기쁜 마음으로 섬기기를 죽게 하듯하고

Serve with a joyful heart, as if serving the Lord.

그 다음 뭐라고 되어 있습니까

What does it say next?

사람들에게 하듯하지 말라

Don't treat people like that.

이렇게 말씀하고 있어요

They are saying this.

우리가 만나는 모든 사람들이

Everyone we meet

다 사람이 아니라

It's not a person.

하나님의 형상을 담은 사람처럼

Like a person who embodies the image of God.

취급하고 그 사람들을 대해주라 이 말씀이에요

Treat and interact with those people, that's what I'm saying.

이 말씀처럼 우리가

As this saying goes, we

모든 사람들을 주님을 대하듯 대할 수 있다면

If everyone could be treated as one would treat the Lord.

이용할 대상이라고 생각하지 않을 겁니다

I don't think you will consider it as a target to be utilized.

하나님이 나에게 보내주신

Sent to me by God

사람이라고 우리가 믿는다면

If we believe that we are human.

저 사람을 이용해서 내가 뭔가로

Using that person for something of mine.

목적을 취하려고 하지 않을 것이라는

"Not intending to pursue the purpose."

그 말씀이에요

That's what I mean.

여기서 하나님을 사랑하는지 사랑하지 않는지가

Whether you love God here or not.

드러나게 된다는 얘기에요

It's about becoming revealed.

하나님을 정말 사랑하는 사람이라면

If a person truly loves God

이웃을 사랑하는 모습으로 나타나게 된다는 얘기에요

It means that it will manifest as loving your neighbor.

여러분 칼을 들고 있어야지만

Everyone, you must hold a sword.

강도가 되는 것이 아니에요

It doesn't mean you become a robber.

이웃에 대한 사랑이 식어지면

When love for the neighbors cools down

그들을 이용할 대상으로 보기 시작하면

Once you start to see them as subjects to be used,

그때부터 우리는

Since that time, we...

여리고의 강도로 돌변하게 되는 겁니다

It will turn into the strength of a Jericho.

그들을 이용할 대상으로 보기 시작하면

Once you start to see them as objects to be used,

근사하게 양복을 입고 넥타이를 메고 있지만

Although he is dressed elegantly in a suit and wearing a tie,

우리 손에는 칼이 없지만

We don't have a knife in our hands, but...

우리 속마음은 강도의 모습과 똑같은 모습으로 바뀌게 된다는 거예요

Our true feelings will change to look just like the appearance of a robber.

하나님을 온전하게 사랑하지 못하고

Unable to love God perfectly.

하나님의 말씀에 순종하지 못하게 될 때

When we cannot obey God's word.

저 사람은 차라리 없어졌으면 좋을 사람이라고

I wish that person would just disappear.

비난했던 그 여리고의 강도의 모습이

The appearance of the robber from Jericho whom I criticized.

바로 나의 모습이 될 수 있다는 겁니다

It means that it can become my own form right away.

이 말씀을 들으시면서

While listening to these words

이 말씀을 보시면서

While looking at these words

다른 사람들을 향해서 비난하기 전에

Before criticizing others.

먼저 우리가 우리 자신을 돌아볼 수 있는

First, we can reflect on ourselves.

그런 지혜로운 마음이 있어야 될 줄로 믿습니다

I believe that such a wise heart is needed.

두 번째는

두 번째 등장하는 사람은

The second person to appear is

제사장과 레위인이에요

It is a priest and a Levite.

누가 보면 10장 31절과 32절에

In the book of Luke, chapter 10, verses 31 and 32.

31절 보면

In verse 31

한 제사장이 그 길로 내려가다가

A certain priest was going down that road.

그를 보고 피하여 지나가고

Avoiding him, I passed by.

그 다음에 32절에서는 레위인이

Then in verse 32, the Levite...

똑같이 피하여 지나갔다라고 설명합니다

It is explained that it passed by avoiding in the same way.

제사장과 레위인

Priests and Levites

모두 다 종교 지도자들이었습니다

They were all religious leaders.

이스라엘은 신정국가였기 때문에

Israel was a theocratic state.

이들의 지위는 굉장히 높은 지위였어요

Their status was very high.

종교적인 지위뿐 아니라

Not only religious status

사회적인 지위도 높았고

He also had a high social status.

존경받는 사람들이었습니다

They were respected people.

그런데도 이들은

However, they are

강도를 만나 죽어가고 있는 사람을 보고서

Seeing a person who is dying after encountering a robber.

그냥 지나셨습니다

You just passed by.

최소한 최소한의 도움도 주지 않고

Without providing even the slightest help.

모른 척 피해갔어요

I pretended not to know and avoided it.

왜 그랬을까?

I wonder why that happened?

그 이유가 여기 나오지 않지만

The reason is not mentioned here, but...

우린 추측해 볼 수 있습니다

We can make a guess.

제사장은 제사 직무를 맡고 있는 사람이었기 때문에

The priest was a person who was in charge of the sacrificial duties.

항상 성결을 유지해야만 했습니다

I always had to maintain purity.

시체를 만져서는 안 됐고

You must not touch the corpse.

시체와 접촉해서도 안 됐습니다

You were not supposed to come into contact with the corpse.

아마도 이 법을 지키기 위해서

Perhaps to uphold this law.

피해갔을 거예요

It probably avoided it.

저 사람이 죽은 사람인 줄 알고

I thought that person was dead.

움직이지 않으니까

Because I'm not moving.

죽은 사람인 줄 알고

Thinking it was a dead person.

아마 피해갔을 거예요

They probably avoided it.

레위이는 성전 직무를 맡았던 사람들이죠

The Levites were those who were in charge of the temple duties.

제사가 잘 이루어질 수 있도록 준비하고

Prepare to ensure that the ritual is performed well.

모든 것을 정리하는 일들을 맡았던 사람입니다

I was the person in charge of organizing everything.

지금도 그 일을 하러 가는 중이었을지도 모릅니다

They might still be on their way to do that work.

만약 여기서 지체하면

If we delay here...

다른 제사가 드려져야 되는데

Another ritual needs to be performed.

그 제사를 드리지 못할지도 모르겠다

I might not be able to perform that ritual.

아마 이 생각을 해서 지나갔을 것입니다

They probably thought about this and let it go.

나름대로 합당한 이유가 있는 것이죠

There is a reasonable explanation in its own way.

근데 그 합당한 이유라는 것이

But that reasonable justification is

이 사람은

This person is

이 사람을 돕는 것보다도

Rather than helping this person

더 중요한 것이 아니었다는 겁니다

It wasn't that it was more important.

주님께서 제사장과 레위인을

The Lord has appointed the priests and the Levites.

여기서 등장시켰던 것은

What was introduced here is

의도적인 면이 있어요

There is an intentional aspect to it.

의도적으로 강조하시려고 하는 부분이 있어서 그렇습니다

There is a part that you are intentionally trying to emphasize.

뭘 강조하시려고 했냐면

What you were trying to emphasize is...

형식적인 신앙을 책망하시려고 말씀하는 거예요

He is saying this to admonish formalistic faith.

어떤 신앙이라고요?

What faith are you talking about?

형식적인 신앙

Formal faith

예배를 드리기 위해서

In order to hold a worship service.

예배를 핑계 삼아서

Using worship as an excuse.

어려운 이유는

The reason it is difficult is

어려운 이웃을 그냥 지나쳐버린다면

If you just pass by a struggling neighbor,

하나님께서 그런 예배를

God desires such worship.

기쁘게 받으시겠느냐

Would you be happy to accept it?

그런 형식적인 신앙을 책망하시는 말씀이에요

It is a word rebuking such formal faith.

우리는 이 제사장과 레위 사람에게

We will give it to this priest and Levite.

이렇게 물어봐야만 합니다

I have to ask like this.

왜 예배를 드리십니까?

Why do you worship?

그렇게 바쁘게 예배를 드리러 가시는데

You're going to worship so busily.

그 예배의 목적이

The purpose of that worship

무엇입니까?

What is it?

이렇게 한번 물어봐야 돼요

I need to ask you like this once.

왜 이렇게 열심히 예배를 드리려고 하는지 물어보셔야 돼요

You should ask why I am trying to worship so diligently.

이들이 정말로 예배의 목적을

The true purpose of worship for them

바로게 깨달았더라면

If I had realized it right away

강도 만날 사람은

The person who will meet the robber.

사람을 모른 척 지나가지 않았을 겁니다

You probably wouldn't have passed by pretending not to know the person.

지나갈 수 없었을 거예요

It probably couldn't have passed.

그냥 지나갔다는 것은

What it means to simply pass by.

예배의 목적을 바로 깨닫지 못했다는 것을 뜻하는 겁니다

It means that one did not fully understand the purpose of worship.

예배는 열심히 드렸어요

I attended the worship service diligently.

근데 그들이 드렸던 예배는

But the worship they gave was

예배를 드리기 위한 예배를 드린 거예요

It was a worship performed for the sake of worship.

형식적인 예배를 드렸다는 그 말이죠

It means that you've had a formal worship service.

예배를 안 드리면

If you don't attend worship.

하나님이 혹시라도 나에게 벌을 주실 것 같으니까

Because I think God might punish me.

벌 받기 싫으니까

Because I don't want to get punished.

그 시간을 때우려고 채우려고

To fill that time, to pass that time.

종교적인 행위를 그냥 한 거예요

I just did a religious act.

그러니까 열심히 예배를 드렸어도

So even if I worshipped diligently,

아무런 감동이 없고

There is no emotion at all.

아무런 느낌이었고

It felt completely empty.

아무런 변화가 없는 겁니다

There is no change at all.

그러면 예배가 시작했다 끝나면

Then the worship began, and when it ended.

그냥 돌아가는 거예요

It's just going to go back.

가만히 앉았다가 예배가 끝난 것과 동시에 돌아가는 거예요

You just sit still and leave as soon as the worship ends.

예배를 보는 사람들이죠

They are the people who attend worship.

예배를 드리는 사람이 아니라

Rather than a person who gives worship

예배를 보는 사람이에요

I am a person who attends worship.

그럼에도 자기들은 제사장이라고

Nevertheless, they consider themselves priests.

그럼에도 자기는 레위인이라고

Nevertheless, he calls himself a Levite.

자부심을 느꼈어요

I felt a sense of pride.

이 사람들에게 물었던 질문을

The question I asked these people.

우리들에게도 물어봐야 됩니다

We also need to be asked.

여러분은 예배의 목적이 뭐라고 생각하십니까?

What do you think is the purpose of worship?

여러분은 예배를 왜 드리십니까?

Why do you attend worship?

한번 생각해 보세요

Think about it for a moment.

여러분이 왜 이렇게 열심히 예배를 드리러 나오시는가

Why do you all come out to worship so diligently?

한번 생각해 보세요

Think about it for a moment.

우리는 말씀을 듣기 위해서 예배를 드립니다

We worship to hear the word.

맞습니다

That's right.

그러나 말씀을 듣는 것만이 예배의 전부의 목적이 아니죠

However, listening to the word is not the entirety of the purpose of worship.

말씀을 듣고서 그 말씀대로

Having heard your words, I will follow them.

순종하려고 하는 것이 예배의 목적이에요

The purpose of worship is to strive for obedience.

예배의 핵심은

The essence of worship is

앞에서 제가 뭐라고 그랬습니까?

What did I just say earlier?

드리는 거라고 그랬잖아요

I told you that I would give it to you.

예배의 핵심은 드리는 것에 있어요

The essence of worship is in giving.

예배를 통해서 말씀을 나에게 주신 것을 듣고서

Hearing that the Word has been given to me through worship.

그 말씀대로 순종하기 위해서

To obey your words.

내 삶을 드리는 것에 있어요

It's about dedicating my life.

드리는 것

What I offer

그것이 예배예요

That is worship.

말씀대로 순종하기 위해서

To obey as you said.

내 삶을 드리는 것이 예배고

Offering my life is worship.

이것이 예배의 목적이 되어야 되는 거예요

This should be the purpose of worship.

그래서 여러분 진짜 예배는

So, everyone, true worship is...

진짜 예배는 언제부터 시작됐냐면

When did true worship begin?

오늘 예배가 끝나고

After today's service.

저 문을 나가는 순간부터

From the moment I step out that door.

예배가 시작되는 거예요

The worship is starting.

아주 아주 중요한 말이에요

It's a very, very important thing to say.

여러분 잘 기억하셔야 돼요

You all need to remember well.

진짜 예배는 언제부터 시작되느냐

When does real worship begin?

이 예배가 끝나고

After this worship service ends

저 문을 나가는 순간부터

From the moment I step out of that door

예배가 시작되게 된다는 겁니다

It means that the worship will begin.

예배가 끝나고 나가서

After the worship service ends,

내가 만나는 순간에

The moment I meet you.

어떤 사람들을 향해서

Towards some people.

어떤 마음을 갖고 이 사람을 대하느냐

What kind of mindset do you have when you treat this person?

내가 저 사람을 이용해 먹으려고 대하느냐

Am I trying to take advantage of that person?

아니면 정말 사랑을 베풀려고 저 사람을 대하느냐

Or are you really trying to shower that person with love?

하나님의 사랑을 얼마나 실천하고 있느냐

How much are you practicing God's love?

그 모습을 보면서

Seeing that 모습.

예배를 잘 드렸는지

Did we have a good worship service?

예배를 잘못 드렸는지가

Whether the worship was done incorrectly.

결정되게 된다는 거예요

It means it will be determined.

아주 중요한 말씀

Very important words.

오늘 이 말씀을 통해서 하고 있어요

I am doing this through today's message.

레위인과 제사장의 문제가 바로 이것이었어요

The problem with the Levites and the priests was exactly this.

예배의 목적을 까마득히 잊어버리고

Completely forgetting the purpose of worship.

그냥 형식적인 예배만 매달렸어요

I was just stuck in a formal worship routine.

아 예배 드리러 가야 되니까

Ah, I have to go to worship.

이 사람만 좀 제까놓고 가자

Let's just leave this person aside for now.

그래도 하나님께서

Still, God...

기뻐하시겠지

You must be happy.

하나님이 정말 예배하는 자에게

To those who truly worship God.

무엇을 원하시는지를 깨닫지를 못했어요

I couldn't realize what you wanted.

그래서 하나님은 주님은

So God is the Lord.

이 형식적인 예배

This formal worship.

형식적인 신앙에 대해서

Regarding formalistic faith.

책망에 말씀하시는 거예요

You are speaking with admonition.

여러분 이 말씀을 보세요

2사에서 1장 12절 13절

Isaiah 1:12-13

형식적인 예배를 하나님이 얼마나 싫어하시는지

How much God dislikes formal worship.

이 말씀이 나와요

This saying comes to mind.

12절 보면

Looking at verse 12

너희가 내 앞에 보이러 오니

You come to show yourselves before me.

예배를 드리러 나온다는 것을 말합니다

It means that you come out to offer a worship service.

이것을 누가 너희에게 요구했느냐

Who asked you to do this?

내 마당만 밟을 뿐이니라

You are only stepping on my yard.

몸은 여기 와있지만

My body is here, but...

마음은

The heart is.

다른 곳에 가있어요

I'm at another place.

골프장에 가있고

I am at the golf course.

오늘 오후에 누굴 만나야 되는데

I have to meet someone this afternoon.

무슨 얘기할까

What should we talk about?

마음은 딴 데 가있는 거예요

Your mind is somewhere else.

마당만 밟고 가는 거예요

You're just stepping on the yard.

그러면서도 열심히 재물을 갖다

And yet, they work hard to acquire wealth.

하나님께 바쳤습니다

I dedicated it to God.

그런데 그 모든 재물들을 다 하나님께서는

However, all those riches were for God.

헛된 재물을 다시 가져오지 마라

Do not bring back worthless possessions.

이렇게 말씀해요

They say like this.

열심히 예배 드렸고

I worshiped diligently.

열심히 재물을 바쳤는데

I devoted my resources diligently.

하나님이 전혀 기뻐하시지 않는 거예요

God is not pleased at all.

왜 기뻐하시지 않냐면

Why aren't you happy?

13절 말씀 가장 끝부분 보세요

Look at the very end of verse 13.

성회와 아울러 악을 행하는 것을

To commit evil along with the assembly.

내가 견디지 못하겠노라

I cannot endure it.

뭐라고 말씀합니까

What are you saying?

예배를 드린 다음에

After the worship service

밖에 나가서 무슨 일을 했어요?

What did you do outside?

악한 일을 했어요

I committed a bad deed.

성회

Seonghoe

예배를 드리고 난 다음에

After the worship service.

똑같이 밖에 나가서 악한 일을 했어요

I went out and did evil things in exactly the same way.

그러고도 죄의식이 전혀 없었어요

And even so, I had no sense of guilt at all.

그러고도 자기는 하나님 옆에

And still, he is next to God.

예배를 잘 드리는 종교인이라고 생각했어요

I thought you were a religious person who worships well.

하나님은 이런 예배를 향해서

God is towards this kind of worship.

견딜 수 없노라

I cannot endure it.

견디지 못하겠노라

I cannot bear it.

이렇게 말씀하세요

Say it like this.

예배라는 것은

Worship refers to

하나님이 기뻐하시는 예배는 뭐냐

What kind of worship is pleasing to God?

예배가 끝난 다음에

After the worship service is over.

그 다음에 보여지는 삶을 통해서

Through the life that is shown afterward

하나님이 평가하시고

God evaluates and

기뻐하신다는 것은

To say you're happy means

말씀하는 내용이에요

It's what I'm saying.

우리가 정말 예배를 중요하게 생각한다면

정말 이 예배가 중요하게 생각한다면

If you really consider this worship important,

이렇게 생각할 수 있다면

If you can think like this, then...

우리 삶은 달라질 수밖에 없을 거예요

Our lives are bound to change.

달라질 겁니다

It will change.

하나님의 말씀을 소홀히 여길 수 없을 것이고

We cannot take God's word lightly.

그 말씀대로 순종하려고 노력하게 될 거예요

I will try to obey your words.

하나님을 사랑하고 이웃을 사랑하라고 말씀하셨으면

He said to love God and to love your neighbor.

그 말씀을 그대로 지키려고

To try to keep those words as they are.

열심히 열심히 순종할 거예요

I will diligently and faithfully obey.

예배를 드리면서 하나님을 사랑하는 것만 보이는 것이 아니라

While worshiping, it's not just love for God that is visible.

밖에 나가서 이웃을 순종하는 그 모습을 보일 거예요

I will go outside and show the appearance of being obedient to my neighbors.

강도를 만나 쓰러진 자를

Someone who has fallen after encountering a robber.

발견했을 때

When discovered

그 사람을 돕는 것이

Helping that person.

하나님을 사랑하는 것이고

It is to love God.

그 모습이 예배라는 것을

That 모습 is what worship is.

깨닫게 될 겁니다

You will come to realize.

여기서 드리는 것만이 예배가 아니라

What we give here is not the only worship.

밖에 나가서 쓰러진 사람 어려운 사람을 돕는 것이

Helping those who have fallen or are in need outside.

하나님이 기뻐하시는 예배라는 것을

Worship that pleases God.

깨닫게 될 거예요

You will realize.

제사장과 레윈의 모습을 보면서

Looking at the appearance of the priest and the Levite.

우리는 우리 자신의 모습을

We are our own selves.

좀 비춰봐야 될 겁니다

I think it needs to be illuminated a bit.

혹시 나에게도

이런 형식적인 모습

Such a formal appearance.

그 모습으로 예배 드리는 모습은 없나요?

Is there no scene of worshipping in that way?

그러면서도 나는 정말 믿음이 좋다

Still, I have a really good faith.

나는 한 번도 주 1레벨 빠지지 않았으니까

I have never missed level 1 in a week.

내 믿음은 좋아

My faith is good.

이렇게 생각하고 있지 않은지

마지막 세 번째 등장하는 사람은

The person who appears third and last is...

사마리아 사람입니다

I am a Samaritan.

누가 보면 10장 33절에

In Luke 10:33.

어떤 사마리아가

What a Samaritan.

사마리아 사람은

Samaritan

여행하는 중 거기에 이르러 그를 보고 불쌍해하겨

While traveling, I arrived there and felt sorry for him.

어떤 사마리아 사람

A certain Samaritan.

이렇게 딱 말을 시작하셨

You started speaking just like this.

예수님이 시작하셨을 때

When Jesus began

율법 교사와 제자들은 깜짝 놀랐을 겁니다

The teachers of the law and the disciples must have been surprised.

사마리아 사람이라는 이름을 들었을 때

When I heard the name Samaritan.

깜짝 놀랐을 거예요

You must have been surprised.

왜냐하면 사마리아 사람은

Because the Samaritan

유대인들이 제일 싫어하는 사람들이었기 때문입니다

Because they were the people that Jews hated the most.

싫어하는 정도가 아니라

It's not just a matter of disliking it.

아예 사람 취급을 안 했어요

They didn't treat me like a person at all.

같은 그 이스라엘 범 안에 살고 있었지만

Although I was living within that Israeli boundary.

이 사람들을 같은 유대인 취급으로

Treat these people as the same Jews.

취급을 하지 않았습니다

It was not handled.

왜 그런가 하면

The reason is that...

역사적인 배경 때문에 그래요

It's because of the historical background.

이스라엘이 남과 북 왕조로 나뉘어져 있을 때

When Israel was divided into the northern and southern kingdoms.

북이스라엘의 수도가 사마리아였습니다

The capital of northern Israel was Samaria.

이 사마리아와 북이스라엘은

This Samaria and the Northern Israel

누구에게 의해서 멸망당하냐면

"By whom will it be destroyed?"

아수르에 의해서 멸망을 당하게 되죠

It is destroyed by Assyria.

이 아수르는 그들이 정복한 지역마다

This Assyrian [empire] in every region they conquered

혼혈 정책을 썼어요

They implemented a mixed-race policy.

그래서 주변에 있는 이방에 있는 민족들을

So the nations around the surrounding areas

사마리아로 이주시켜서

By relocating to Samaria.

사마리아 사람들과 결혼하도록 만들었습니다

I was made to marry the Samaritans.

혼혈 민족이 되면

If you become a mixed-race ethnic group.

자기들의 정체성을 잃어버릴 것 아니겠습니까

Aren't they going to lose their identity?

그런 정책을 썼어요

They implemented such a policy.

그러다 보니까 이 사마리아 지역에는

As a result, in this Samaritan region...

순수한 혈통을 가진 유대인들이 다 사라져버린 겁니다

The pureblooded Jews have all disappeared.

거기는 이방인들과 섞여있는 사람들만 남게 된 거예요

Only those who are mixed with foreigners are left there.

그러다 보니까 유대인들이 사마리아 사람을 볼 때

As a result, when the Jews see the Samaritans...

저 사람은 우리와 같은 사람이 아니다

That person is not like us.

취급해 주자는 거예요

I’m asking you to handle (it) with care.

이방인 취급한 겁니다

They treated me like a stranger.

그런 취급을 받는 사마리아 사람이 딱 등장하니까

As soon as a Samaritan who receives such treatment appears.

깜짝 놀란 거죠

I was surprised.

왜 예수님께서 이 사마리아 사람을 등장시키셨는가

Why did Jesus introduce this Samaritan person?

두 번째 등장했던 사람들이 누군가

Who were the people that appeared for the second time?

유대인을 대표하는 제사장과

The priest representing the Jews and

레위인이었다는 것을 여러분 생각해 보신다면

If you consider that he was a Levite

왜 세 번째 사마리아 사람을 등장했는지가

The reason why the third Samaritan appears is

짐작할 수 있을 겁니다

You can probably guess.

이 두 사람을 비교하고 있다는 얘기예요

It means that they are comparing these two people.

Who helped the person who was mugged?

제사장과 레위인들은 그냥 지나쳐버렸지만

The priest and the Levite just passed by.

유대인들이 멸시하고 있는 이 사마리아 사람이

This Samaritan whom the Jews despise

도와준 겁니다

I helped.

이 모습을 비교하면서

While comparing this appearance

유대인이 가지고 있는 그 편견

The prejudice that Jews have.

우월의식

Sense of superiority

이거를 깨뜨리시는 거예요

You are going to break this.

혈통과 신분을 깨닫는

Realizing lineage and status

자랑하면서 자기들은 하나님의 손민이라고 자랑했던

They boasted about themselves as being God's chosen people.

그 유대인들을 향해서

Towards those Jews

하나님이 보시는 것은 그것이 아니라

What God sees is not that.

다른 것을 하나님이 원하신다는 것을

That God desires something different.

말씀하시려는 거예요

Are you trying to say something?

그래서 사마리아인을 딱 등장시키는 겁니다

So that's why the Samaritan is introduced.

다시 말씀드리면

To put it again,

하나님께서 관심을 가지시는 것은

What God is concerned about is

우리의 신분이 아니라는 거예요

It's not about our identity.

하나님은 우리의 신분에 대해서

God is about our identity.

별 관심을 갖고 있지 않다는 것을

Not having any particular interest.

말씀하는 겁니다

I'm talking about it.

내가 목사라고 해서

Just because I'm a pastor.

하나님의 관심을 더 많이 받는 것이 아니라는 얘기예요

It's not about receiving more of God's attention.

하나님은

God is

여러분들이 집사님이거나

If you are a caretaker or

또는 권사님이거나

or it could be a deaconess

또는 장노님이거나

Or it could be an elder.

그것 때문에 여러분들을 보면서

Because of that, while looking at you all

감동을 받지 않으세요

Aren't you moved?

교회를 오래 다녔다고 해서

Just because I've attended church for a long time,

또는 성경 공부를 많이 했다고 해서

Or just because you have studied the Bible a lot

여러분들을 더 높게 평가해 주시는 것이

Evaluating you all more highly is

아니라는 얘기예요

It's saying that it's not true.

죄송하지만 그런 게 아니에요

I'm sorry, but that's not it.

교회를 10년 다녔거나 20년 다녔거나

Whether you've attended church for 10 years or 20 years.

그걸 보면서 하나님이

Seeing that, God

그래 너네 참 훌륭하구나

Yeah, you guys are truly great.

이렇게 하나님이 높게 평가해 주시지 않는다는 겁니다

This means that God does not value us highly like this.

그럼 무엇에 관심을 갖고 계시느냐

So what are you interested in?

지금 내가 하고 있는

What I'm doing right now.

일에 관심을 갖고 계세요

You are interested in the work.

지금 내가 하고 있는 일에 관심을 갖고 계세요

Are you interested in what I'm doing right now?

하나님의 관심은

God's interest is

우리가 가진 직분에 있는 것이 아니라

It's not about the position we hold.

내가 갖고 있는 그런 백그라운드에 있는 것이 아니라

It's not something that has that kind of background that I have.

지금 내가 무엇을 하고 있느냐

What am I doing right now?

여기에 하나님의 관심이 있다는 거예요

This means that God has an interest here.

사마리아 사람을 등장시킨 이유가

The reason for introducing the Samaritan.

이것 때문에 그래요

It's because of this.

지금 내가 무엇을 하고 있느냐

What am I doing right now?

거기에 하나님의 관심이 있다는 거예요

It means that there is God's interest in that.

여러분 이 비유를 잘 보시면

If you look closely at this metaphor...

비유의 초점이

The focus of the metaphor

등장인물의 행동과

The actions of the characters and

행동에 맞춰져 있다는 것을 보실 거예요

You will see that it is aligned with the actions.

등장인물이 어떻게 행동하고 있는가를

How the characters are behaving.

자세하게 묘사하고 있어요

It is being described in detail.

이 사마리아 사람에 대한 묘사를 봐도

Even when looking at the description of this Samaritan,

이 부분이 확실하게 드러나죠

This part is clearly revealed.

33절을 다시 한번 보세요

Look at verse 33 once again.

어떤 사마리아 사람은 여행하는 중 거기에 이르러

A certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came there.

그 다음 뭐라고 돼 있습니까

What does it say next?

그를 보았다 돼 있어요

I saw him.

그를 본 다음에 어떻게 합니까

What do you do after seeing him?

불쌍히 여겨 돼 있어요

You should have pity.

그의 행동을 지금 묘사하고 있어요

I am currently describing his actions.

그냥 모른 척 고개를 돌리지 않고

Just ignoring it and not turning my head.

불쌍히 여기는 마음을 가졌습니다

I had a heart of compassion.

대부분의 사람들은 이 정도 선에서 끝나요

Most people stop at this level.

아 참 저 사람 불쌍하다

Oh, that person is pitiful.

안 됐다

It didn't work.

거기서 끝내지만

I'll end it there.

사마리아 사람은 거기서 끝나지 않습니다

The Samaritan does not stop there.

그 다음 말씀 보면

If you look at the next statement,

그 다음 어떻게 합니까

What do we do next?

가까이 갔어요

I got closer.

가까이 가서 기름과 포도주로 그 상처에 붓고

He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine.

싸매고 치료해 줬어요

I wrapped it up and treated it.

제사장도 불결하다고 피해버렸던 이 사람을

This person whom even the priest avoided because he was unclean.

자기의 손으로 직접

With one's own hands.

싸매지고 치료해 주고 도와줍니다

I will wrap you up, treat you, and help you.

그 다음에 자기 짐승에 태워서

Then ride on his beast.

준막으로 데려가서 돌보아줍니다

I will take you to the shelter and take care of you.

완벽하지 않습니까

Isn't it perfect?

이 정도만 해도 훌륭하죠

This is excellent enough.

그런데 그것으로 끝이 아니었어요

But that wasn't the end of it.

그 다음

Next

35절 말씀 보면

Looking at verse 35,

그 이튿날

The following day.

하룻밤을 그 사람하고 같이 보낸 거예요

I spent the night with that person.

자기의 시간을 사용했습니다

Used his/her time.

그가 주막 주인에게 대나리온 둘을 내어주며

He handed two denarii to the innkeeper.

자기가 가진 돈도 그 사람을 위해서 다 쓰기 시작해요

They start spending all the money they have for that person.

이 사람을 돌보아주라 비용이 더 들면

Take care of this person; if it costs more, it’s okay.

내가 돌아올 때 갚으리라 하였어요

I said I would repay when I come back.

그 사람을 한 번도 본 적이 없지만

I have never seen that person.

이 사람에 대한 무한 책임을 져주고 있는 모습이에요

This shows that they are taking on infinite responsibility for this person.

지금 사마리아 사람에 대해서 묘사하고 있는

Describing the Samaritan right now.

말씀은 전부 무엇을 하고 있느냐

What are you talking about?

거기에 대한 말씀이에요

That's what I'm referring to.

여러분 그렇죠

That's right, everyone.

전부 무엇을 하고 있느냐에 대한 말씀을 기록하고 있어요

I am writing about what everyone is doing.

왜 그의 행동을 자세하게 말씀하고 있겠습니까

Why would you talk about his actions in detail?

왜 그의 행동을 자세하게 말씀하고 있겠어요

Why would he be describing his actions in detail?

그냥 그 사람을 도와주었다

I just helped that person.

이렇게 말씀하셔도 되는데

You can say it like this.

왜 그의 행동을 자세하게 말씀하시겠어요

Why would you elaborate on his actions?

그 모습을 하나님이 기뻐하시기 때문이라는 거예요

It is because God is pleased with that appearance.

이 모습을 기뻐하신다는 거예요

It means that you are happy with this appearance.

사마리아 사람은 아무도 인정해주지 않는

The Samaritans are not recognized by anyone.

신분을 가진 사람이었지만

He was a person of status, but

사람이었지만 하나님이 이 사람을 인정해 주셨습니다. 왜 그랬는가? 그의 신분을 보고서 인정해 준 것이 아니라 그가 하고 있는 일을 보고서 하나님이 그 사람을 인정해 주시는 거예요. 자기의 시간과 자기의 노력과 그리고 물질을 들여서 어려운 사람을 섬기고 있는 그 모습을 보고 하나님이 기뻐하셨다는 거예요.

He was a person, but God recognized this person. Why was that? It was not because of his status that he was recognized; rather, it was because of the work he was doing that God acknowledged him. God was pleased when He saw him serving those in need, dedicating his time, effort, and resources.

이 비유를 통해서 주님은 하나님의 관심이 어디에 있는가를 말씀하고 있어요. 하나님의 관심. 우리의 신분에 하나님의 관심이 있는 것이 아니라 내가 지금 무엇을 하고 있느냐에 관심이 있다는 거예요.

Through this parable, the Lord is speaking about where God's attention is focused. God's interest is not in our status, but in what I am currently doing.

무엇을 하고 있느냐. 이 비유의 결론에 대한 말씀을 봐도 그래요. 37절에서 결론에 이렇게 말씀하죠.

What are you doing? The same goes for what is said about the conclusion of this parable. In verse 37, it states the conclusion like this.

예수께서 이러실 때 가서 너도 이와 같이 하라 하시니라. 너도 이와 같이 하라. 이렇게 결론을 맺으세요.

When Jesus said this, He told them to go and do the same. Do likewise. Conclude like this.

주님의 관심은 우리가 제사장이냐, 래위인이냐. 하나님의 선택을 받은 사람이냐. 거기에 관심이 있는 것이 아니라는 얘기예요.

The Lord's concern is not whether we are priests or Levites, or whether we are people chosen by God. That is not what He is focused on.

하나님의 자녀라면 그 신분에 맞게 섬기고 희생하는 그 모습이 있는가를 주님께서 관심 갖고 보신다는 얘기예요.

If you are a child of God, it means that the Lord is concerned and observing whether you live in a way that serves and sacrifices in accordance with that identity.

여러분이 교회를 오래 다녔더라면 그 오래 다닌 것을 자랑할 것이 아니라 그 오래 다닌 것만큼 주님을 사랑하는 마음이 깊어졌느냐를 주님이 관심 갖고 보신다는 얘기예요.

If you have been attending church for a long time, it is not something to boast about; rather, the Lord is concerned with whether your love for Him has deepened as much as the time you have spent there.

여러분이 직분을 맡으셨으면 내가 집사냐, 권사냐, 장노냐 안 또다시.

If you have taken on your roles, I won't ask again whether I am a deacon, an elder, or a pastor.

또는 목사냐. 이런 직분을 맡았으면 그 직분을 보시고 주님이 기뻐하시는 것이 아니라 그 직분에 해당되는 것만큼 정말 주님을 위해서 순종하느냐, 섬기느냐.

Or are you a pastor? If you have taken on such a position, it's not about looking at the position itself to see if the Lord is pleased; rather, it's about whether you truly obey and serve the Lord to the extent that corresponds to that position.

그거를 보고 계신다는 거예요.

You are saying that you are watching that.

여리고의 비극은 교회를 다닌 사람들이 없어서 생긴 것이 아니었어요.

The tragedy of Jericho wasn't caused by the absence of churchgoers.

예배를 드리는 사람들은 참으로 많았는데 자기를 희생하고 섬기는 참된 예배를 드리는 사람이 없어서 여리고 길의 비극이 생긴 거예요.

There were indeed many people worshiping, but there were no true worshipers who sacrificed themselves and served others, which led to the tragedy on the road to Jericho.

형식적인 신앙인들은 많았지만 사마리아 사람처럼 많았어요.

There were many formal believers, but there were as many as the Samaritans.

말씀대로 순종해서 사랑을 베풀려는 사람이 없었기 때문에 이런 비극이 생긴 겁니다.

Because there was no one willing to obey and show love as you said, this tragedy occurred.

그래서 주님은 너도 이와 같이 하라 말씀하시잖아요. 너도 이와 같이 하라.

So the Lord tells you to do the same. You too, do the same.

우리가 이와 같이 할 수만 있다면 여리고의 비극은 끝나게 되는 거예요.

If we can do this, the tragedy of Jericho will come to an end.

더 이상 이 비극은 일어나지 않는 겁니다.

This tragedy will no longer happen.

누가 보면 10장 36절 말씀.

Luke 10:36.

우리 같이 한번 이 말씀 읽어보겠습니다.

Let's read this passage together.

내 생각에는.

In my opinion.

비유를 맞추면서 예수님께서 율법교사에게 던지신 질문입니다.

This is a question that Jesus posed to the teacher of the law while making an analogy.

이 비유가 시작되게 된 것은 율법교사가 예수님께 던졌던 내 이웃이 누구입니까?

The reason this parable began is because the lawyer asked Jesus, "Who is my neighbor?"

이 질문에서부터 이 비유가 시작됐고 이 비유를 맞추면서 주님께서는 다시 이 역으로 질문을 던지고 계세요.

This metaphor started with this question, and as you figure out this metaphor, the Lord is once again posing a question in this context.

두 가지 질문은 비슷해 보이는 질문이지만 전혀 다른 질문입니다.

The two questions may seem similar, but they are completely different questions.

여러분 뭐가 다른지 한번 생각해 보세요.

Everyone, think about what's different.

예수님은 누가 강도만란자의 이웃이 되겠느냐 물어보셨고 율법사는 내 이웃이 누굽니까 물어봅니다.

Jesus asked, "Who among these was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" and the lawyer asks, "Who is my neighbor?"

뭐가 다른지 한번 생각해 보세요.

Think about what is different.

뭐가 다른지 보이십니까?

Can you see what is different?

강조점이 다르죠. 강조점이 다릅니다.

The emphasis is different. The emphasis is different.

율법사의 말은 내 이웃이 될 사람을 내가 고르겠습니다. 이런 말입니다.

The lawyer said, "I will choose who my neighbor is."

그런데 예수님의 말은 너가 고르지 말고 너가 그 사람의 이웃이 되어주라 이렇게 말씀하는 거예요.

However, Jesus is saying not to choose who to help, but to be a neighbor to that person.

다르죠.

It's different.

율법사는 이웃을 정할 수 있는 기준을 자기가 갖고 있었습니다.

The lawyer had his own criteria for determining who his neighbor was.

자기 코드에 맞는 사람, 자기 취향에 맞는 사람만 다 이웃으로 받아줬어요.

They only accepted people who matched their code and their tastes as neighbors.

강도 만나서 길에 쓰러진 사람은 자기의 취향이 아니기 때문에 저 사람은 내 이웃이 될 수 없었습니다.

The person who fell on the street after encountering a thief could not be my neighbor because they are not to my liking.

그냥 지나쳐버린 거예요.

I just let it pass by.

그러나 주님께서 말씀하실 때는 주님이 말씀하시는 기준은 뭐냐면

However, when the Lord speaks, what is the standard by which the Lord speaks?

나에게 기준을 두지 말고 상대방에게 기준을 두라고 말씀하는 거예요.

Don't set standards for me; set standards for the other person.

상대방이 나를 필요로 한다면 이웃이 되어주라는 거예요.

If the other person needs me, I should become a neighbor.

저 사람이 어떤 생각, 나와 코드가 맞든지 안 맞든지

What that person thinks, whether it matches with me or not.

상관하지 말고 그 사람의 이웃이 되어주라 이렇게 주님이 말씀하시는 거예요.

Don't worry and be a neighbor to that person; this is what the Lord is saying.

이것이 오늘 우리에게 주시는 메시지예요.

This is the message that is being given to us today.

누가 강도 만난 자의 이웃이 되겠느냐.

Who would become the neighbor of the man who was robbed?

그 사람의 이웃이 되어주라 하나님이 오늘 우리에게 이렇게 말씀하는 거예요.

"Be that person's neighbor; God is telling us this today."

그 사람의 이웃이 되어주라.

Be that person's neighbor.

우리 주변에 어려운 사람, 힘들어하는 사람들이 보인다면

If we see people around us who are struggling or going through tough times,

여러분 이 말씀을 기억하셔야 될 거예요.

You all need to remember these words.

누가 그 사람의 이웃이 되어줄 것이냐.

Who will be that person's neighbor?

주님께서 그 사람을 보면서 우리에게 물으실 거예요.

The Lord will look at that person and ask us.

그 사람을 우리에게 보여주신 것은

Showing that person to us is

그 사람의 이웃이 되라고 우리에게 보여주신 거예요.

He has shown us to be neighbors of that person.

여러분이 지나가다 어떤 사람의 모습을 보고

As you pass by, you see someone's appearance.

그 사람의 모습이 자꾸 생각난다면

If you keep thinking about that person’s appearance,

그 들었던 이야기가 자꾸 내 마음속에서 떠나지 않고 남는다면

If the story I've heard keeps lingering in my heart and won't leave...

그 사람의 이웃이 되라고 우리에게 그 말씀을 들려주신 거예요.

He spoke to us to become that person's neighbor.

그냥 지나가시면 안 돼요.

You can't just walk past.

여러분 그렇다면 어떻게 하시겠어요?

So, what will you all do?

어떻게 하시겠습니까?

What will you do?

모른 척 지나가시겠습니까?

Are you going to pass by pretending not to know?

아니면 그 사람의 이웃이 되어주시겠습니까?

Or would you become that person's neighbor?

어떻게 하시겠어요?

What will you do?

솔직히 자신 없습니다.

Honestly, I'm not confident.

저도 자신 없어요.

I'm not confident either.

솔직히 자신 없어요.

Honestly, I don't have confidence.

그렇게 하고 싶은 마음도 충분히 있어요.

I have enough desire to want to do that.

그렇게 하고 싶은 생각도 있습니다.

I also think it would be nice to do that.

그러자니 걸리는 게 너무 많아요.

There are too many things to consider.

시간도 없어요 저는.

I don't have time.

능력도 안 돼요.

I don't have the ability.

게다가 사마리아 사람처럼 모든 것을 다 털어서 줄 수 있을 만큼 돈도 갖고 있지 않아요.

Moreover, I don't have enough money to give everything away like a Samaritan.

하고 싶은 마음은 있지만 모든 것이 할 수 없는 여건이에요.

I have the desire to do it, but the circumstances make it impossible.

여러분 이웃이 된다는 것은 이런 뜻으로 주님이 말씀하신 것이 아닙니다.

Being a neighbor, as the Lord has spoken, does not mean this.

이런 것 때문에 안 된다고 우리는 못한다고 말씀하는데

We say we can't do it because of things like this.

주님께서 말씀하신 이웃은 그런 의미가 아니에요.

The neighbor that the Lord spoke of does not mean that.

물론 내 것을 희생해서 그 사람을 도와줘야 하는 것이지만

Of course, I have to help that person by sacrificing my own things, but...

거기서부터 시작하는 것이 아니라는 것입니다.

It's not that it starts from there.

사마리아 사람이 어떻게 이 사람을 도와주는지 그 순서를 다시 한번 보세요.

Look again at the order in which the Samaritan helped this person.

주님께서 왜 이 사람이 이 강도 만난 사람을 자세하게 도와주고 있는지

Why the Lord is helping this person who encountered the robber in detail.

순서를 설명하시는 것은 뭔가 중요한 의미가 있기 때문에 그래요.

Explaining the order has some important significance.

33절에 보시면 어떻게 도와주는가 그 시작을 이렇게 얘기하죠.

In verse 33, it starts by talking about how to help.

그를 보고 불쌍히 여겨.

I feel sorry for him.

여기서 시작했다는 얘기에요.

It's the story of how it all started here.

여기서 시작했어요.

I started here.

그때부터 출발해서 자기가 가진 포도주를 부어서 상처를 씻어주고

From that moment on, he began pouring the wine he had to wash away the wounds.

자기 낙에 태워서 주먹에 가서 이 사람을 돌봐주었다는 겁니다.

It means that you took them on your own vehicle and took care of them at your place.

그리고 제일 마지막에 자기가 가진 비용을 털어서 이 사람을 도와주었어요.

And in the end, they spent all their savings to help this person.

우린 이런 마음을 갖고 시작하기도 전에 먼저 뭐부터 생각합니까?

What do we think about first before we even start with this kind of mindset?

나는 저 사람을 도울 능력이 없어요.

I don't have the ability to help that person.

도울 돈이 없어요.

I don't have any money to help.

그래서 도울 수 없습니다.

So I can't help you.

이렇게 얘기하잖아요.

You say it like this.

우리가 선행을 베풀려는 마음을 가로막으려는 유혹이에요.

It’s a temptation that tries to block our desire to do good deeds.

그런 유혹감도 여러분 넘어가지 마시고

Don't be tempted by such allure.

내 안에 저 사람을 불쌍히 여겨.

Pity that person inside me.

불쌍히 여기는 마음이 있는가를 먼저 확인할 수 있어야 돼요.

You must first be able to confirm whether there is a heart that feels pity.

불쌍히 여기는 마음이 있느냐.

Do you have a heart of compassion?

그 마음만 있다면 이웃이 될 수 있어요.

If you have that heart, we can be neighbors.

나의 도움이 필요해서 나를 찾아오는 사람을 보고서는 모른 척하지 않고

Seeing someone who comes to me for help, I won't pretend not to know.

저 사람을 불쌍히 여길 수 있는 마음이 있느냐.

Do you have a heart that can feel sympathy for that person?

그 마음을 갖는 것이 이웃이 되는 거예요.

Having that 마음 is what makes you a neighbor.

여러분 그렇다면 이 정도는 할 수 있잖아요.

Come on, everyone, you can do at least this much.

우리 이 정도는 할 수 있잖아요.

We can do at least this much, right?

나의 도움이 필요해서 나를 찾아오는 사람을 보면서

Seeing someone come to me for help.

저 사람을 참 불쌍히 여기는 그 마음 갖는 것.

Having a heart that truly feels pity for that person.

우리가 이 정도는 할 수 있지 않습니까?

Can't we do at least this much?

주님은 오늘 이 말씀을 통해서 여러분에게 도전하고 계십니다.

The Lord is challenging you today through this message.

우리가 도전하고 계세요.

We are taking on a challenge.

누가 저 사람의 이웃이 되겠느냐.

Who will become that person's neighbor?

우리가 도전을 주시는 말씀이에요.

It is a word that challenges us.

누가 저 사람의 이웃이 되겠느냐.

Who will be the neighbor of that person?

우리의 이기적인 마음을 버리고

Let us cast away our selfish hearts.

우리를 찾아오는 사람을 향해서 손을 내밀어서

Reach out your hand to those who come to find us.

그들의 이웃이 되어주라고 말씀하십니다.

He tells us to be their neighbor.

그들도 하나님의 형상을 따라 지음받은 사람인 것을 기억하고

Remember that they are also people created in the image of God.

그 사람을 도와주고 사랑을 베풀라고 말씀하세요.

Tell him to help that person and give love.

너도 이와 같이 하라.

You should do the same.

주님의 말씀이에요.

It is the word of the Lord.

이와 같이 하라.

Do it like this.

주님의 관심은 여러분의 어떤 직분을 가지고 있느냐가 아니라

The Lord's concern is not about what position you hold.

지금 무엇을 하고 있느냐에 있어요.

It depends on what you are doing right now.

오늘 이 말씀을 들으면서

Hearing these words today...

내가 과연 어떤 사람이냐?

What kind of person am I really?

내가 정말 강도와 같은 사람이냐?

Am I really a person like a robber?

제사장과 레윈 같은 사람이냐?

Are you like a priest or a Levite?

아니면 선한 사마리아 사람이냐?

Or are you the Good Samaritan?

내가 어떤 사람인가를 생각해보는 것도 중요하지만

It is important to think about what kind of person I am, but...

더 중요한 것은 그 말씀을 듣고 이와 같이 하는 거예요.

The more important thing is to listen to those words and do them like this.

37절에 나와 있는 말씀처럼 가서

As it is written in verse 37, go and

너도 이와 같이 하라.

Do likewise.

이 말씀에 순종하는 것이 참으로 중요한 말씀이에요.

It is truly an important teaching to obey these words.

나를 도와줄 선한 사마리아 사람이 어디 있느냐?

Where is the good Samaritan who will help me?

이 사람을 찾아다니는 것이 아니라

Instead of looking for this person

내가 먼저 그런 사람이 되어야 되겠다.

I need to be that kind of person first.

그것이 중요한 거예요.

That's what matters.

교회를 와도 정을 못 느끼고 사랑을 느끼지 못한다며

"Even when I come to church, I can't feel affection and can't feel love."

이 교회는 참 사랑이 없나 봐.

It seems this church lacks true love.

이 교회는 참 뭔가 문제가 있나 봐.

It seems that there is something wrong with this church.

여러분 그렇게 말씀하지 마시고

Please don't say that, everyone.

그렇게 말씀할 문제가 아니라

It's not something that can be said like that.

선한 사마리아인이 없어서 그런 것이 아니라

It's not because there is no good Samaritan.

내가 먼저 그 사람의 이웃이 되어주지 못해서 그런 거예요.

It's because I couldn't be that person's neighbor first.

주님께서 말씀하신 것처럼

As the Lord has spoken

이와 같이 하라는 이 말씀에

In accordance with this command to do so

내가 온전히 순종해주지 못했기 때문에 그렇게 느끼는 거예요.

It's because I couldn't fully obey.

그래서 내가 누군가 나를 따뜻하게 맞아줄 사람을 찾아다닐 것이 아니라

So instead of looking for someone who will warmly welcome me,

내가 누구를 따뜻하게 맞아줘야 될 것인가

Who should I warmly welcome?

그 사람을 찾아다녀야 되는 거예요.

You have to search for that person.

이 비유에 등장하는 사마리아인은

The Samaritan 등장 in this analogy is

예수님을 가리킵니다.

It refers to Jesus.

예수님은 유대인들로부터 멸시를 받고 천대를 받았습니다.

Jesus was despised and rejected by the Jews.

아무도 예수님을 인정해주지 않았어요.

No one acknowledged Jesus.

그러나 예수님은 그들을 위해서 모든 것을 쏟아 부어주셨습니다.

However, Jesus poured everything out for them.

사마리아 사람이 아낌없이 베풀어준 것처럼

Just like the Samaritan generously gave.

예수님도 우리를 위해서 그렇게 베풀어주셨어요.

Jesus also gave to us in that way.

자기의 모든 것을 다 털어서

Emptying oneself of everything.

헌신적이고 초월적인 사랑을 보여준 이 사마리아 사람의 모습은

The appearance of this Samaritan who showed devoted and transcendent love is

예수님의 십자가 사랑을 의미하는 겁니다.

It signifies the love of Jesus' cross.

강도만나 길에 쓰러져 죽어가고 있는 사람은

A person who is collapsing and dying on the street after encountering a robber.

우리를 말한 거지요.

You are talking about us.

저와 여러분을 뜻하는 거예요.

It means you and me.

그런 우리를 위해서 주님께서 싸매고 치료하셔서 회복시켜주신 것이에요.

For us, the Lord has bandaged, healed, and restored us.

모든 것을 아낌없이 베풀어주셨습니다.

You have given everything generously.

예수님이 타고 가셔야 될 그 낙유에 우리를 태우셔서

He rode on that donkey that he had to ride, carrying us on it.

우리를 살려주신 거예요.

You saved us.

여러분 그렇다면

Everyone, then...

이제는 우리가 사랑을 베풀어야 될 차례죠.

Now it's our turn to share love.

우리의 순서가 된 거예요.

It's our turn now.

우리가 그 사랑을 베풀 순서가 된 거예요.

It’s our turn to show that love.

너도 이와 같이 하라 이 말씀대로 이제는 우리의 차례가 된 거예요.

You should do likewise. According to this word, it is now our turn.

너도 이와 같이 하라는 이 말씀은

This command to do likewise to you

주님이 우리에게 행하신 것처럼

As the Lord has done for us.

이와 같이 주님과 같이 행하라 이 말씀이에요.

This is what it means to walk like the Lord.

주님이 우리에게 보여준 것처럼 똑같이 행하라는 그 말씀이에요.

It is the message to act just as the Lord has shown us.

우리가 주님의 그런 사랑을 받은 자임을 확신한다면

If we are confident that we have received such love from the Lord,

그 사실을 정말 분명히 믿고 있다면

If you really believe that fact clearly,

주님이 우리에게 하신 것처럼

As the Lord has done for us.

우리도 강도 만난 사람의 이웃이 되어야 할 줄로 믿습니다

I believe that we should become neighbors of those who have encountered hardship.

힘들어하고 아파하는 사람들의 마음을 싸매주는

Wrapping the hearts of those who are struggling and in pain.

선한 사마리아인이 되어야 할 줄로 여러분 믿으시길 바랍니다

I hope you all believe that you should be a good Samaritan.

Beloved members of the congregation

여러분 주변에 힘들어서 쓰러져 있는 자들이 보이면

If you see people around you who are struggling and collapsing,

고개를 돌리지 마시고

Please don't turn your head.

찾아가서 손을 잡아주시고

Please come and hold my hand.

하나님의 사랑과 위로를 나눠주시길 바랍니다

I hope you share God's love and comfort.

그들의 이웃이 되어주셔야 돼요

You need to become their neighbor.

그것이 하나님이 기뻐하시는 것이고

That is what pleases God.

그것이 하나님이 기뻐하는 참된 예배예요

That is the true worship that pleases God.

그들의 이웃이 되는 것

Becoming their neighbor.

말로만 하나님을 사랑한다고 할 것이 아니라

Rather than just saying that you love God with words,

하나님을 정말 사랑하면

If you truly love God

우리에게 보내주신 이웃을 사랑하는 겁니다

It is loving the neighbors you have sent to us.

여러분을 필요로 하는 사람들에게

To those who need you.

선한 사마리아 사람이 되어주시길 바랍니다

I hope you will become a good Samaritan.

선한 사마리아 사람이 되어주세요

Please become a good Samaritan.

그 모습을 통해서 우리가 하나님의 자녀임이 드러나게 될 것이고

Through that 모습을, it will be revealed that we are children of God.

하나님께서 기뻐하시게 될 줄로 믿습니다

I believe that God will be pleased.

이번 한 주간도 선한 사마리아인이 되셔서

"Please be a good Samaritan this week as well."

사랑을 베풀고 섬기시는

You give and serve love.

큰 빛의 성도가 되시기를

May you become a saint of great light.
