The Intermedia Korean podcast is releasing its 80th episode.

시즌2를 시작한지 벌써 10개월이 되었다는 얘기지요.

It's already been 10 months since Season 2 started.

한 해를 돌아보니 저의 방송과 관련해서 많은 일들이 있었더라고요.

Looking back on the year, there were many events related to my broadcasting.

영상 편집을 도와주시던 한 선생님이 사정이 생겨서 시즌1을 끝으로 그만두셨고요.

A teacher who was helping with video editing had to stop after Season 1 due to personal circumstances.

오랫동안 편집할 사람을 구했지만 자원봉사자를 찾을 수 없었어요.

I searched for someone to edit for a long time, but I couldn't find a volunteer.

그래서 편집을 하셨습니다.

So you edited it.

그래서 과연 시즌2를 내보낼 수 있을지 암담했지요.

So, I was uncertain whether they could actually release Season 2.

결국 청취자 여러분과의 약속을 지키기 위해 곰손인 제가 유튜브 보면서 편집을 배웠고

In the end, to keep my promise to you, the listeners, I, who am not skilled, learned editing while watching YouTube.

태어나서 처음으로 영상 편집을 시도했어요.

I tried video editing for the first time in my life.

그래서 아마 부족한 점이 많았을 거예요.

So there probably were many shortcomings.

그래도 너그럽게 이해해 주셔서 감사합니다.

Thank you for being understanding anyway.

그리고 지난 여름에는 저희 방송이 10만회 다운로드를 기록하면서

And last summer, our broadcast recorded 100,000 downloads.

사실 시즌1을 만들려면,

In fact, to create Season 1,

시즌2를 만들 때 개인적인 소망이 하나 있었어요.

I had a personal wish when making Season 2.

저희 아이들이 나중에 결혼해서 자녀를 낳으면

When our children get married and have their own children in the future.

그 아이들에게 이 팟캐스트를 선물로 남겨줄 생각이었지요.

I was thinking of leaving this podcast as a gift for those kids.

손자, 손녀들이 할머니가 진행한 한국어 팟캐스트를 들으면서

While the grandchildren listen to the Korean podcast hosted by their grandmother.

한국어와 한국 문화에 익숙해지고

Becoming familiar with the Korean language and culture.

또 할머니에 대해서도 좀 더 알게 되면 좋겠다는 바람이 있었거든요.

I also hoped to learn a bit more about my grandmother.

시즌2를 진행하면서는 돌아가신 엄마 생각이 많이 났어요.

While working on season 2, I often thought about my late mother.

엄마는 배움에 대한 열망이 아주 컸어요.

My mother had a great desire for learning.

하지만 가난하다는 이유로, 여자라는 이유로

But because of being poor, because of being a woman.

마음껏 교육을 받을 수 없었지요.

I couldn't receive an education freely.

그래서 자녀들만큼은 충분히 배울 수 있도록 지원하겠다며

So, I will support them so that their children can learn enough.

평생 자녀 교육을 위해 헌신하셨어요.

You have dedicated your life to educating your children.

배우고 싶은 사람은 누구나 배울 수 있어요.

Anyone who wants to learn can learn.

배울 수 있는 세상을 꿈꾸셨던 엄마.

A mother who dreamed of a world where one could learn.
