제가 왔을 때만 해도 탈북민이 별로 없었기 때문에 평균이 되게 심했어요

When I arrived, there weren't many North Korean defectors, so the average was very severe.

근데 이렇게 모란문클럽이라는 탈북민 프로그램이 방송에 나오면서

But with the "Moranmun Club" program for North Korean defectors airing like this,

정말 많은 대한민국 국민들이 같이 웃고 울고 하면서

Many citizens of South Korea are laughing and crying together.

그 탈북민들에 대한 평균도 많이 사라졌어요

The average regarding those North Korean defectors has also disappeared greatly.

그래가지고 지금은 많은 대한민국 국민들도 우리를 보고 공감해 주시고 시청해 주시고 이러더라고요

사실 저는 통일 후에 북한 주민들에게 하고 싶은 이야기가 있는데요

먼저 와서 항상 미안해요 저희는

그리고 그 사람들보다 잘 먹고 있고 여기 와서 너무 잘 살고 있어서 미안한데

우리 모란문클럽이라는 프로그램은 정말 북한 주민들을 잊지 않으려고

Our program called the Morrowan Moon Club is really trying not to forget the residents of North Korea.

탈북민들과 모란문클럽 제작진들이라든지

North Korean defectors and the production team of the Morang Moon Club.

이런 프로그램을 만들고 그 북한 주민들 인권 상황을 세계 알리기 위해서

To create such a program and to inform the world about the human rights situation of North Korean residents.

이런 프로그램을 만들었다 그래서 마음 아픈 소리도 계속 이 장소에서 계속 계속 했다

I created this program, so I kept hearing heartbreaking stories continued in this place.

그래서 이런 이야기를 하면서 북한 주민들이 나중에라도 꼭 이런 영상을 보시면

네 이야기를 하고 싶습니다

I want to talk about you.

사실 우리 옆에 이렇게 있는 탈북민들은 여러 가지로 의미가 있다고 생각을 합니다

I believe that the defectors who are right next to us have significant meaning in various ways.

네 이 분들을 통해서 우리가 먼저 통일을 경험해 보면서

Yes, through these people, we can first experience unification.

그리고 앞으로 통일 과정에서 우리 탈북민들이 남북관계의 고리를 이어가는 사람들이고 또한 남북한 사회의 매개자 또는 중간자 입장에서 중요한 역할을 할 사람들이라고 생각이 되거든요.

And I believe that in the future unification process, we North Korean defectors will be the ones to maintain the ties between the North and South, and we will also play an important role as mediators or intermediaries in North-South relations.

그래서 우리 시청자분들께서도 주변에 탈북민들이 있다면 좀 더 많은 관심과 배려를 갖고 따뜻하게 대해주고 이 탈북민들이 한국 사회에 잘 적응할 수 있도록 도와주는 것이 결국은 통일을 앞당기는 지름길이 아닌가 싶습니다.

So I believe that if our viewers have North Korean defector acquaintances, they should show more interest and care, treating them warmly, and helping them to adapt well to Korean society. Ultimately, this might be a shortcut to hastening unification.

저는 어렸을 때 우리의 소원은 통일이라는 노래도 정말 많이 불렀어요. 정말 끈뜩 말라며 우리의 소원은 통일.

When I was young, I sang the song "Our Wish is Unification" a lot. It really sticks in my mind, "Our wish is unification."

그런데 통일이라는 게 그냥 막연한.

However, unification is just vague.

그냥 미래의 일이지 지금 현실의 우리 일이 아니다고 생각했는데 그래서 이게 우리가 서로를 알아야지만 그 통일의 일이 또 빨리 당겨지는 거고

I thought it was just something for the future and not related to our current reality, so the reason why we need to understand each other is that it hastens the process of unification.

그리고 우리가 항상 예전에 불렀던 그 통일의 노래가 계속 좀 이어지고 우리 아이들도 알았으면 하는 그런 바람이에요.

And I hope that the song of unification we always used to sing continues, and that our children will also know it.

통일이라는 게 그냥 막 연결이 되니까요.

Unification simply connects everything.

통일만 있잖아요.
