이런 생각이 들더라고

하나님께서 24시간을 주셨잖아

그래서 지난주에는

Matthew 8:14

예수님이 산에서 내려오신 다음에

After Jesus came down from the mountain

두 사건이 있었잖아

There were two incidents, right?

예수께서 베드로의 집에 들어가사

Jesus entered Peter's house.

그의 장모가 열병으로

His mother-in-law has a fever.

앓아누운 것을 보시고

Seeing that someone is lying down ill

그의 손을 만지시니 열병이 떠나가고

As you touch his hand, the fever departs.

여인이 일어나서 예수께 수종들더라

The woman rose up and served Jesus.

저물매 사람들이 귀신 들린 자를 많이 데리고

As dusk falls, many people bring those possessed by spirits.

예수께 오고는

Coming to Jesus

예수께서 말씀으로 귀신들을 쫓아내시고

Jesus cast out demons with His word.

병든 자들을 다 고치시니

He healed all the sick.

자 이거 보면 예수님 언제 쉬셔

Look at this, when does Jesus take a break?

그러게요

그렇지

산에서는 제자들에게 산상수훈을 말씀하시고

On the mountain, He spoke the Sermon on the Mount to His disciples.

산에서 내려오니까 또 수많은 무리들이

As I came down from the mountain, there were again countless crowds.

이제 예수님 말씀 들으러

또 기적을 맛보려고 오셨잖아

You came again to savor the miracle.

근데 이제 그 중에 또 불쑥불쑥

But now, among those, suddenly...

예수님에게 다가오는 분들이 계셨잖아

There were people approaching Jesus.

예를 들어서 나병에 걸리신

For example, someone who has leprosy.

한신씨병에 걸리신 분이

Someone who has contracted Hansen's disease.

또 하나는 또 백부장까지 로마사랑까지

Another one is the centurion and even Rome.

예수님 갑자기 스타가 되셨네

Jesus suddenly became a star.

소문내지 말라니까요 예수님 갑자기 스타가 되셨네

Don't spread rumors, Jesus suddenly became a star.

소문내지 말라고 얘기했지만 저는 이미 소문이 다 났을 거라고 생각이 들어요

I told you not to spread rumors, but I think the rumors have already spread.

이미 다 봤고

I already saw it all.

예수님은 이제 소문을 원하시지 않으셨지만

Jesus did not want rumors anymore.

이미 많은 사람들이 와서 예수님 혼자 스케줄을

Many people have already come, leaving Jesus alone with the schedule.

자기가 스스로 결정을 할 수가 없는

Unable to make decisions on their own.

그런 과정인 것 같아

I think it's such a process.

근데 우리가 이제 이것을 이해할 때 한 가지

But when we understand this now, one thing...

이해해야 되는 거는

What you need to understand is

요한복음에 보면 예수님의 행한 일들이

In the Gospel of John, the works that Jesus did

좀 과장법이지

It's a bit of an exaggeration.

이 세상의 모든 책으로도 다

All the books in this world cannot measure up to that.

담을 수 없다 그랬어

I said I can't hold it in.

그 말은 뭘까? 그만큼 많이 하신 거지

What does that mean? It means you've done it a lot.

그 중에 마테라든지

마가 누가 요한은 발췌한 거지

Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are just excerpts.

그런 것을 조금 염두에 두면서

시간은표를 이해하지

같은 사건을 다르게 읽는다

Interpreting the same event differently.

마가복음의 일장에 보면

In the first chapter of the Gospel of Mark,

같은 사건을 이렇게 얘기하신다

They talk about the same incident like this.

예수님의 소문이 곧 온 갈릴리 사방에 퍼지니라

The rumor of Jesus spread throughout all of Galilee.

이렇게 되어있어요

It's set up like this.

난리 난 거지

A crazy beggar.

난리 났어

There's a commotion.

갑자기 그냥 한세시병에 걸린 분이

Suddenly, someone just caught a cold.

요즘 나병이라는 말을 안 쓰더라고

These days, they don't use the word leprosy anymore.

한세시병에 걸리신 분이

A person who has contracted hanseong disease.

이제 회복이 됐잖아

Now I'm recovered.

누가 선전을 했을까?

Who did the propaganda?

사실 이미

In fact, already.

가족들이 다 소문을 냈을 것 같고

I think the whole family has spread the news.

내가 생각할 때

When I think about it

막 아빠 엄마

Just dad and mom.

우리 아빠 났어요

My dad was born.

그리고 제사장의 소문이 굉장히 중요한 거

And the rumor of the priest is very important.

그리고 환자들이 찾아와서

And then the patients come to visit.

어떻게 났냐고 물어가지고

They asked how it happened.

당사자한테

To the parties involved.

군도 가야겠다 그러잖아

I should go to the island, they say.

그래 오케이

Okay, got it.

그래서 온 갈릴리 사방에 퍼진 거야

So it spread all around Galilee.

그럼 이제 백부장의 하인도 났으니까

Well, now that we have the servant of the centurion.

일단 하인의 가족들도 얘기했을 거고

First of all, the servant's family must have talked about it too.

백부장은 조금 업 됐을 거 아니야

The manager must be a bit excited, right?

예수님은 칭찬받았잖아

Jesus was praised.

동료 백부장에게도

To colleague Deputy Director too.

또 로마 병사들에게도

To the Roman soldiers as well.

이렇게 전부 소문이 퍼졌다라고 얘기를 하는 거야

This is how all the rumors spread.

그다음에 회당에서 나와

Then I came out of the meeting hall.

예수님 회당 가셨네

Jesus went to the synagogue.

마태복음에는 그 얘기가 없잖아

That story is not in the Gospel of Matthew.

회당에서 나와

"Come out from the meeting."

곧 야고보와 요한과 함께

Soon with James and John.

시몬과 안드레의 집에 들어가신 거

You entered Simon and Andrew's house.

회당에 들어가신 이유는 뭘까?

What might be the reason for entering the theater?

안식일이었을 거야

It must have been the Sabbath.

안식일에 자라나신 곳

The place where you grew up on the Sabbath.

회당에 이르사 누가복음에 나오잖아

When you reach the synagogue, it says so in the Gospel of Luke.

그러니까 회당에서 나왔다는 거는

So what you mean is that it came out of the meeting.

들어갔다는 걸 전제할 거 아니야

You're going to assume that I went in, right?

거기에도 무슨 스토리가 있는 거지

그러면 안식일이라는 얘기지

야고보와 요한과 함께

왜 먼저 야고보를 썼을까

예수님이 이 사실을 알게 돼서

가게 된 거 아니야

너무 좀 잔인하지 않냐

예수님에게 좀 식사도 대접하고

인자는 머리둘 곳도 없다 그러셨잖아

You said that there's no place for your head to rest.

그러면 사람들이 저렇게 몰려오는데

Then people are gathering like that.

예수님 우리 그래도

Jesus, still with us.

베드로의 집에 좀 살거든요

I'm living at Peter's house for a while.

근데 우리가 누가 사는지는

But we don't know who lives there.

누가 잘 사는지는 몰라

I don't know who is living well.

거기서 식사 좀 하십시다

Let's have a meal there.

안식일 예배 끝난 다음에

After the Sabbath service is over.

예수님 좀 쉬시죠

Let's take a break, Jesus.

예수님이 사역 끝나고

After Jesus finished his ministry

갈 데가 없어 산에 올라가시면 어떡해

What will you do if you have nowhere to go and you go up the mountain?

그래서 붙잡은 거지

So that's why I grabbed him.

예수님 좀 쉬시러 가십시다

Let's go for a break, Jesus.

여기서 식사도 좀 하시고

Have a meal here as well.

오늘은 좀 집에 갑시다

안고 간게 아니라

그러니까 야고보와 요한과 함께 시몬과 안드레의 집에 들어가시니

And so, He entered the house of Simon and Andrew, along with James and John.

그러면 처음에 누가 초청을 했을까?

Then who was the one that invited in the first place?

내가 생각할 때는 시몬이 초청했을 가능성이 많아.

I think it’s likely that Simon invited them.

시몬이 안드레하고 함께 같은 형제잖아.

Simon is the same brother as Andre.

예수님 우리 집에 오세요.

Jesus, please come to our house.

그런데 예수님이 그래 하지 않고 야고보와 요한도 같이 가도 되냐?

But Jesus didn't say that; can James and John go along too?

이렇게 물어보셨을 것 같아.

I think you would have asked like this.

왜?

Why?

같이 밥 먹게?

Shall we eat together?

아니 정황을 봐봐.

No, just look at the situation.

아버지와 금물과 일하는 사람 다 버렸잖아.

You threw away my father and everyone who works with 금물.

이해가 돼요?

버린 게 더 많아.

그러면 아버지는 괘씸하다 안하다?

자식이 갑자기 같이 일하다가

The child suddenly started working together.

예수님이 오셔서 가자 그러니까

Jesus said, "Let's go."

아버지, 금물 다 버렸어.

Father, I threw away all the valuables.

일하는 사람들.

Working people.

그러면 아버지가

Then my father

이 아들

This son

보려고 한다? 안 보려고 한다?

Do you intend to watch it? Or not intend to watch it?

안 보려고 하죠.

I try not to see it.

그런데 나중에 예수님이 유명하다는 걸 알고

However, later I learned that Jesus is famous.

와서

기억이 나죠.

그러면 야고보와 요한도 같이 가면 안 되겠니?

그런데 시몬의 장모가 열병으로 누워 있어요.

But Simon's mother-in-law is lying sick with a fever.

그랬을 때 누가 말해?

Who said that at that time?

사람들이 곧 그 여자에 대하여 예수께 여쭤봤다.

People soon asked Jesus about that woman.

예수님이 모르고 가신 게 분명해.

It's clear that Jesus went without knowing.

예수님이 쉬러 가신 거야.

Jesus went to rest.

식사하시러 가신 거야.

You went to have a meal.

예수님의 시간 스케줄을 봐.

Look at Jesus' schedule.

밥 먹을 시간도 없는 거야.

I don't even have time to eat.

좀 쉬어서 좀 발도 닦으시고 좀 앉으셔서 잠도 좀 주무시고 이래야 되는데.

You should rest a little, wipe your feet, sit down for a bit, and get some sleep. You really need to do this.

사람들이 또 예수님이 오셨으니까.

People are saying that Jesus has come again.

예를 들어서.

For example.

예수님의 입장보다.

More than Jesus' position.

하나님의 입장보다.

More than God's position.

내 사임 스케줄대로 고쳐주세요.

그런데 하나님은 아니다 그러실 수도 있잖아요.

이럴 때가 참 많지 않았을까.

그런데 이제 인생을.

But now life...

이렇게 조금 살다 보니까.

As I live a little like this.

그때 실패하고 하나님 앞에 거절당한 것이 오히려 지금 보면 은혜라는 생각이 들 때도 많아요.

At that time, being rejected by God after failing often feels like a grace when I look back on it now.

진짜 많은 것 같아요.

I think there are really a lot.

그때 기도 이루어 주셨으면.

I hope my prayers are answered then.

큰 일도 되게 많아요.

지금 생각해보면 그런 넘어짐 때문에 좌절 때문에 인생에 굉장히 겸손을 배운다 그럴까.

Looking back now, I wonder if such falls and frustrations have taught me a great deal of humility in life.

그리고 하나님과 합력해서 선을 이루시는.

And working together with God to achieve good.

요즘은 조금 철이 좀 나는 것 같아.

I feel like I'm becoming a bit more mature these days.

아직도 멀었지만.

It's still far, but.

그래요.

Okay.

그래서 사람들이 또 예수님에게 여자에 대해서 여쭤오는 거야.

So people are asking Jesus about women again.

그러니까 예수님은 어떻게 하셔.

So what does Jesus do?

나아가사.

Go forward.

나 좀 피곤하다 이러지 않으시고.

I'm a little tired, if you don't mind.

요청하셨으면 나아가사.

If you requested it, please proceed.

그 손을 잡아 일으키시니.

He took his hand and lifted him up.

마태복음에는 손을 만지시니.

In the Gospel of Matthew, He touched their hands.

손을 잡아 일으키시니.

He/She takes my hand and lifts me up.

자 만지는 것으로 기록하고 있고 여기는 잡아 일으키시니.

I am recording by touching, and here you are lifting me up.

그러니까 기록하는 사람들마다 다 다른 거지.

So it's different for each person who records it.

그 다음에 열병이 떠나가고 여자가 그들에게 수종드니라.

Then the fever left her, and she served them.

대박.

Awesome.

아무것도 못하고 누워 계시던 어머니가 일어나서 예수님에게 수종드는 거야.

The mother, who had been lying down unable to do anything, gets up and serves Jesus.

그때부터 드디어 식사를 하실 수 있는 거야.

From that time on, you can finally have a meal.

어떻게 보면 일석이조네요.

In a way, it's killing two birds with one stone.

그렇지.

That's right.

병도 낫고 식사도 하시게 되고.

You will get better and be able to eat.

예수님 되게 지혜로우신 거야.

Jesus is really wise.

고쳐서 수임 받고.

Fix it and receive the appointment.

그러니까 우리도 사실 원치 않는 질병이나 원치 않는 어떤 장애물 때문에 예수님을 섬길 수 없는데 예수님이 갑자기 오셨어.

So, we also cannot serve Jesus due to certain diseases or unwanted obstacles that we really don't want, but Jesus suddenly came.

그리고 사람들이 나에 대해서 부탁을 해.

And people ask for favors about me.

내가 부탁한 것도 아니야.

I didn't even ask for it.

그래서 고침을 받았어.

So I got treated.

그다음에는 금방 예수님의 마음을 편안하게 해드리고 식사도 좀 준비해드리고.

Next, I'll quickly help to ease Jesus' heart and prepare some meals.

빈대떡도 좀 비춰드리고.

I'll also shine a light on the mung bean pancakes.

물도 좀 떠다 드리고.

I'll also bring some water.

그것도 굉장히 아름답다라는 생각을 해요.

I think that is also very beautiful.

근데 그다음이야.

But that's the next part.

저물매.

It's dusk.

사람들이 귀신들인 자를 많이 데려오고 예수께 오고는 아이고 예수님 언제 쉬셔.

People bring many possessed individuals to Jesus, saying, "Oh Jesus, when will you rest?"

지금 뭐 좀 이제 장모님 한 분 고쳐주셨으면 됐잖아.

Now, it would have been enough if you had just fixed one of my mother-in-law's issues.

이제는 예수님 좀 쉴 수 있게.

Now let Jesus take a break.

이제 문 닫았어요.

The door is closed now.

그리고 방을 붙여가지고 예수님도 주무시니까 건들지 마.

And since the room is attached, don't disturb Jesus while He is sleeping.

이렇게 얘기할 수도 있잖아.

You could say it like this.

근데 저물매.

But it's getting late.

저물매는 어떻게 해야 돼?

What should I do about the setting sun?

아까 그랬잖아.

You said that earlier.

쉼부터 시작한다 그랬잖아.

You said to start with rest.

쉴 시간이 없네.

I don't have any time to rest.

저물매. 사람들이 귀신들인 자를 많이 데리고 오고는.

In the evening. Many people bring those possessed by ghosts.

이건 어디냐.

Where is this?

마태복음의 기록이야.

It's a record of the Gospel of Matthew.

마가복음은.

The Gospel of Mark is.

모든 병자와.

All the sick.

귀신들인 자를 예수께 데려오니.

예수께서 말씀으로 귀신들을 쫓아내시고 병든 자들을 다 고치시니.

Jesus drove out demons with His word and healed all who were sick.

이 말은 귀신들인 것을 병자로 보는 거지.

This means seeing the spirits as the sick ones.

병자로.

As a patient.

그러니까 육체적인 질병도 있고 그다음에 어두운 영에 사로잡힌 것도 병자로 보는 거지.

So, both physical illnesses and being possessed by dark spirits are considered illnesses.

그래서 예수님이 이제 말씀으로 고치시는 거예요.

So now Jesus is healing with His words.

자 마가복음으로 가보니까 온 동네가 그 문 앞에 모였더라.

So when we went to the Gospel of Mark, the whole town was gathered at the door.

그러면 가보나반만 보면 한 800m 정도 돼요 길이가.

근데 한 분이 이제 수술을 그쪽에서 세 번 받았는데 안 보였대. 근데 이제 거기서는 돈을 조금 냈나 봐. 그 이분을 만났는데 돈이 없어서 못한다 그랬대. 그때 우리 팀들이 돈을 다 대줬어.

But one person had surgery there three times, but they said they couldn't see. It seems like they paid a little money there. I met this person, and they said they couldn't do it because they didn't have money. At that time, our team covered all the expenses.

그리고 눈을 했는데 0.6까지 시력이 남아. 그래가지고 막 다 울고 내가 갚을 수가 없는 거야. 그런 분들에게 무료로 120명. 근데 만난 사람이 몇 명이냐고. 3,400명.

And I had eye issues, but I still have vision up to 0.6. So everyone was crying, and I can't repay them. There are 120 people for whom it's free. But how many people did I meet? About 3,400 people.

며칠 동안. 그런데 예수님에게 오면 다 고침받는 거야. 오늘 이만 끝이 없는 거지. 점을 매. 각종 병이 든 사람을 고치지 마. 여기 나오네. 마가복음은 각종 병이래. 병의 종류가 다 다르잖아.

For a few days. But when you come to Jesus, everyone gets healed. Today, that's just the way it is. It's like a fortune-telling. Don't heal people with all sorts of diseases. Here it is. The Gospel of Mark talks about all kinds of diseases. The types of illnesses are all different, aren’t they?

많은 귀신을 쫓아내면 귀신 들인 사람도 많은 거야. 귀신이 자기를 알므로 그 말하는 것을 허락하지 않아야 돼.

If you drive away many ghosts, there are also many possessed people. Since the ghost knows itself, you shouldn't allow it to speak.

여기서 굉장한 것은.

What is amazing here is.

사람들은 나 아파요. 하지만 귀신들은 너희들 존재를 얘기하지 마. 예수님이 귀신에게 대해서는 굉장히 엄격한 것 같아. 시끄러워. 조용해.

People, I'm hurt. But ghosts, don’t talk about your existence. It seems Jesus is very strict about ghosts. It's noisy. Be quiet.

우리는 아니야. 우리는 우리의 마음에 있는 걸 다 말씀드릴 수가 있는 거지.

We are not. We can tell everything that's in our hearts.

그런데 만약에 그걸 못 누린단 말이야

그런데 바다에 큰 놀이 일어나는 거야

But a big play is happening in the sea.

근데 배가 물결에 덮이게 되었어

But the boat was covered by the waves.

그러니까 물결이 굉장히 큰 거지

So the waves are really big.

나 갈릴리에서 한 번 그런 적이 있거든

I had an experience like that in Galilee once.

한 1m 정도 파도가 되더라고 작은데

The waves were about 1 meter, so they were small.

근데 거기를 일부러 사진 찍으려고 갔어?

Did you go there on purpose to take pictures?

와 스릴 있더라고

Wow, it was thrilling.

근데 그거는 액션이니까

But that's an action.

하지만 실제로 그렇다

But it is actually true.

내가 탄 배에 큰 물결이 덮는다면

If a big wave covers the boat I'm on

이제 죽는 거지

Now you're going to die.

파도보다 배가 작으면 죽게 돼 있어요

If the boat is smaller than the wave, it's bound to sink.

우리는 파도보다 배가 크든지

Whether our boat is bigger than the waves or not.

아니면 파도를 타든지

Or ride the waves.

난 그런 생각을 했어

I had that thought.

큰 파도일수록 파도타기 선수들은 신나는 거야

The bigger the waves, the more exciting it is for the surfers.

기다리면서 나 영국에서 그런 거 많이 봤어

While waiting, I've seen a lot of that in England.

파도가 안 일어나면 파도타기는 아무 의미가 없는데

If the waves don't rise, surfing has no meaning.

더군다나 큰 파도를 탈 때 우리가 박수치잖아

진짜 나는 그 파도 타기가 오늘 약간 소름이었어.
