Dla osób z niepełnosprawnościami, w jaki sposób określiłeś cele, jakie chciałeś osiągnąć? Czy wzorowałeś się na jakieś rozwiązania, które dostrzegłeś u innego przewoźnika w Europie bądź na świecie? Czy może realizowałeś swoje własne wyobrażenie o tym, jak ma ją wyglądać tego typu przewozy?

For people with disabilities, how did you define the goals you wanted to achieve? Did you model them on any solutions that you noticed from another carrier in Europe or around the world? Or were you perhaps implementing your own vision of how such transportation should look?

Połączyłem te dwie rzeczy.

I combined these two things.

Przed rozpoczęciem pracy w Intercity miałem przyjemność współtworzyć takie trzy fajne, ciekawe projekty, w ramach których razem z grupą moich znajomych podjęliśmy.

Before starting work at Intercity, I had the pleasure of co-creating three cool and interesting projects, in which my group of friends and I took part.

W 2012 roku rozpoczęliśmy taki projekt, który się nazywał Tour de Europe.

In 2012, we started a project called Tour de Europe.

Cztery osoby na wózkach i cztery osoby pełnosprawne.

Four people in wheelchairs and four able-bodied people.

Postanowiliśmy wybrać się w taki obrót.

We decided to take such a turn.

Był to objazd kolejami po Europie.

It was a train tour around Europe.

Naszym celem było odwiedzenie dziesięciu stolic europejskich pociągami w 100 godzin, a więc mega ekspresowe tempo sobie narzuciliśmy.

Our goal was to visit ten European capitals by train in 100 hours, so we set ourselves a mega fast pace.

Z Warszawy pojechaliśmy do Wiednia, z Wiednia do Pragi, do Bratysławy, później do Włoch, do Rzymu i tak dalej, do Paryża, Amsterdamu, Brukseli.

We traveled from Warsaw to Vienna, from Vienna to Prague, to Bratislava, then to Italy, to Rome, and so on, to Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels.

Przez Berlin wróciliśmy do Warszawy.

We returned to Warsaw through Berlin.

Potem zorganizowaliśmy sobie kolejne przedsięwzięcie, które się nazywało Tour de Baltica.

Then we organized another initiative called Tour de Baltica.

Objechaliśmy też pociągami w takim samym składzie Morze Bałtyckie.

We also traveled around the Baltic Sea by train in the same composition.

Z Warszawy pojechaliśmy do Moskwy, z racji tego, że przez kraje nadbałtyckie, Litwę, Łotwę, Estonię, nie ma połączenia kolejowego w taki sposób, żeby można było przejechać.

We traveled from Warsaw to Moscow because there is no railway connection through the Baltic countries, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, that allows for such a trip.

Także musieliśmy przez Rosję.

We also had to go through Russia.

Do Moskwy, z Moskwy do Petersburga, później do Helsinek.

To Moscow, from Moscow to St. Petersburg, and then to Helsinki.

I objechaliśmy sobie Morze Bałtyckie.

We went around the Baltic Sea.

A na samym końcu postanowiliśmy mieć takiego polskiego odpowiednika tych naszych wcześniejszych wyjazdów.

And in the end, we decided to have a Polish equivalent of our earlier trips.

Czyli odwiedziliśmy wszystkie miasta wojewódzkie pociągami.

So we visited all the provincial cities by train.

Też podróżowaliśmy cały czas, nie śpiąc w pokoju, nie śpiąc w pociągach.

We also traveled all the time, not sleeping in the room, not sleeping on trains.

Po tych naszych doświadczeniach my współtworzyliśmy taką białą księgę, która powstała na potrzeby kolei, na potrzeby takiej ciekawej publikacji, która się nazywała Biała Księga Dostępu dla Osob Niepełnosprawnych Kolei.

After these experiences, we co-created a white paper that was developed for the railway, for an interesting publication called the White Paper on Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities in Railways.

And this is how my experience was born, that is, from my private interests, but also from such a necessity.

Because when I joined PKP in 2014, traveling by train for people with disabilities was not so obvious.

Bardzo dużo barier było i bardzo dużo wyzwań przed moją pracą.

There were many barriers and many challenges before my work.

Próbować organizować przejazd osoby z niepełnosprawnością.

Try to organize transportation for a person with a disability.

Także tak to się wszystko rozpoczęło.

And that's how it all began.

Ja w ubiegłym roku, tak w ramach może też takiej trochę ciekawostki, miałem okazję po raz pierwszy od 25 lat podróżować pociągiem w Polsce.

Last year, as a bit of a curiosity, I had the opportunity to travel by train in Poland for the first time in 25 years.

As you can probably guess, it was due to the availability of trains and platforms in different locations.
