Jakość powietrza tutaj jest dużo niższa niż w Polsce.

The air quality here is much lower than in Poland.

Ja w Polsce mieszkałam na Mazurach przez całe moje życie i w armii pod koniec.

I lived in Poland in Masuria my whole life and in the army at the end.

Także ja jestem przyzwyczajona do wysokiej jakości powietrza.

I am also used to high air quality.

Także myślę, że to było takim dużym zaskoczeniem.

I also think that it was a big surprise.

Pierwsze dni tutaj były dla mnie takim rollercoasterem emocji.

The first days here were a real rollercoaster of emotions for me.

Na początku miałam mieszane uczucia i niezbyt komfortowo czułam się tutaj.

At first, I had mixed feelings and didn't feel very comfortable here.

Pomimo tego, że przez pierwsze kilka dni, kiedy byłam w Turcji, to byliśmy w takiej miejscowości bardzo turystycznej.

Despite the fact that for the first few days when I was in Turkey, we were in a very touristy town.

Także wielu obcokrajowców.

Many foreigners as well.

I nie było to takie od razu...

And it wasn't like that right away...

Wrzucenie mnie do tej innej kultury.

Throwing me into this other culture.

Tylko wiadomo, w turystycznych miejscach zawsze jest odrobinę inaczej niż w takich codziennych miejscach kraju.

It's just that, in tourist places, things are always a bit different than in the more everyday places in the country.

I pomimo tego, że było to miasteczko turystyczne, to wciąż mało osób posługuje się tam językiem angielskim.

And despite it being a tourist town, very few people there speak English.

I przyprawiało mnie to jakiś dodatkowy stres.

And it added some extra stress for me.

Bo pomyślałam, że jeżeli wyląduję gdzieś samemu i będę potrzebować o coś zapytać, albo będę mieć z czymś problem, to po prostu nie będę potrafiła się z nimi skomunikować.

Because I thought that if I land somewhere alone and need to ask something, or if I have a problem with something, I simply won't be able to communicate with them.

Ale do dnia dzisiejszego nie miałam żadnej takiej sytuacji.

But to this day, I haven't had any such situation.

I również jedna z pierwszych obserwacji to to, że tutaj jest tak bardziej chaotycznie niż np. w Polsce, jeżeli chodzi o sprzedawanie rzeczy na ulicy.

And one of the first observations is that it's more chaotic here than, for example, in Poland when it comes to selling things on the street.

Sprzedawcy zaczepiają wszystkich, rozmawiają, zaciągają do swoich miejsc itd.

Sellers approach everyone, talk, pull them to their spots, etc.

I jest bardzo chaotycznie, jeżeli chodzi o ruch drogowy.

And it is very chaotic when it comes to traffic.

Nikt nie przepuszcza pieszych.

No one yields to pedestrians.

Wszyscy jeżdżą jak chcą.

Everyone drives as they wish.

Po prostu nie przestrzega się świateł.

They simply don't obey the traffic lights.

Także widząc to wszystko po raz pierwszy, no to jednak duży szok był dla mnie.

So seeing all of this for the first time was quite a shock for me.

Z drugiej strony, jeżeli chodzi o pozytywne zaskoczenia, to ja od razu zakochałam się w jedzeniu.

On the other hand, when it comes to positive surprises, I instantly fell in love with the food.

Wiele razy zatrzymywaliśmy się w takich lokalnych miejscach, które sprzedają gozleme.

Many times we have stopped at local places that sell gozleme.

Czyli taki naleśnik, można to nazwać.

So we can call it a pancake.

Takie ciasto z jakimś nadzieniem np. szpinakiem.

Such a cake with some filling, e.g. spinach.

Czy czasami dodaje się tam mięso, ziemniaki.

Sometimes meat and potatoes are added there.

I one są takie bardzo klimatyczne, gdzieś właśnie przy drodze.

And they are very atmospheric, somewhere right by the road.

Przeważnie to jest taki rodzinny biznes.

Usually, it is a family business.

Po prostu kilka stolików, jakiś piec i można sobie tam naprawdę miło spędzić czas i zjeść pyszne gozleme.

Just a few tables, some oven, and you can really enjoy your time there and eat delicious gozleme.

Uczarowało mnie to, jak klimatyczne są te miejsca.

I was enchanted by how atmospheric these places are.

One dają taką rodzinną atmosferę.

They create such a family atmosphere.

Naprawdę coś wspaniałego.

Truly something wonderful.

I oczywiście warto też zwrócić uwagę na cudowne widoki, piękne morze i wspaniałe góry.

And of course, it is also worth noting the wonderful views, beautiful sea, and magnificent mountains.

Po przyjeździe z Antalyi do Aydyn, miasta w którym mieszkamy,

My impressions of Turkey have changed very, very much.

Tutaj jest mało turystów.

There are few tourists here.

Życie jest takie bardziej spokojne.

Life is a bit more peaceful.

A lot of this street harassment.

I jest tak bardziej klimatycznie.

And it's more atmospheric.

Tutaj szokującym elementem dla mnie było to, jak wąskie są uliczki.

Here, the shocking element for me was how narrow the streets are.

Jak bloki i wszystkie budynki są bardzo blisko siebie.

How the blocks and all the buildings are very close to each other.

Jest bardzo mało wolnej przestrzeni w centrum miasta.

There is very little open space in the city center.

Wszystko jest bardzo blisko, bardzo skupione.

Everything is very close, very focused.

Jest bardzo dużo samochodów i bardzo chaotycznie.

There are a lot of cars and it's very chaotic.

Wszędzie jest głośno, wszędzie jest tłoczno.

It's noisy everywhere, it's crowded everywhere.

Co nie zawsze jest wadą.

Which is not always a flaw.

Ja uważam, że to jest ciekawe.

Pierwsza rzecz, którą powiedziałam do mojego partnera po tym, jak przyjechaliśmy tutaj,

Ludzie tutaj nie mają problemu z wyrzucaniem śmieci.

People here have no problem with throwing away trash.

Po prostu gdzie stoją, gdzie są.

Just where they stand, where they are.

Wyrzucają śmieci na ziemię, na chodnik, na ulicę.

They throw trash on the ground, on the sidewalk, on the street.

na przykład ogrody, czy właśnie chodniki,

czy jakieś takie działki,

There can be trash everywhere there.

Witają wszystkich bardzo otwarcie.

Są ciekawi, chętni do rozmowy,

They are curious, eager to talk,

przejmi i rzadko się zdarza, żeby czuć od nich jakąś niechęć.

It is rare to feel any animosity from them.

Jak odwiedziliśmy ciocie mojego partnera,

When we visited my partner's aunt,

to przywitała nas po prostu jak jakichś celebrytów.

She greeted us just like some celebrities.

Ja sobie żartowałam, że przyjechaliśmy tam jak jakaś para prezydencka.

I was joking that we arrived there like some presidential couple.

Robiła nam zdjęcia, po prostu zastawiła cały stół od razu.

She took pictures of us, she just covered the whole table right away.

Pomimo tego, że przyjechaliśmy tylko na jakąś tam herbatę przysłowiową,

Despite the fact that we only came for some proverbial tea,

to była zachwycona, bardzo miła, bardzo otwarta,

she was delighted, very nice, very open,

zadawała mnóstwo pytań, ciągle uśmiechnięta,

she asked a lot of questions, constantly smiling,

zrobiła nam setki zdjęć.

She took hundreds of photos of us.

Po prostu bardzo, bardzo otwarci ludzie.

Just very, very open people.

Pomimo, że to starsza osoba,

Although this is an older person,

to nawet próbowała ze mną rozmawiać po angielsku.

She even tried to talk to me in English.

Jak wręczyłam jej czekoladki, to dziękowała po angielsku.

When I handed her the chocolates, she thanked me in English.

Także wspaniale widać w nich taką energię do życia.

You can also wonderfully see in them such a zest for life.

Tutaj też, jeżeli chodzi o sąsiadów,

to jest tak jak kiedyś w Polsce.

Są bardzo mili i przyjaźni.

They are very nice and friendly.

Jak się tutaj wprowadziłam, to nasza sąsiadka przyszła,

When I moved in here, our neighbor came over,

przywitała mnie, przyniosła nam ciasto,

she welcomed me, brought us cake,

chciała mnie zobaczyć, zapytać, jak się tutaj czuję itd.

She wanted to see me, ask how I feel here, etc.

Także bardzo miłe doświadczenia.

Also very nice experiences.

Ludzie w sklepach też często pytają, skąd jestem,

People in the stores often ask where I'm from,

bo wiadomo, wyglądam troszkę inaczej.

Because, you know, I look a little different.

Bo jak mówiłam, to nie jest miejsce turystyczne.

Because as I said, this is not a tourist destination.

Jest tutaj mało turystów, rzadko widzą kogoś z zagranicy.

There are few tourists here; they rarely see anyone from abroad.

I są ciekawi po prostu.

And they are just curious.

Zawsze pytają, jak tutaj jest.

They always ask how it is here.

I jak z mojej perspektywy widzą Turcję.

And how they see Turkey from my perspective.

Mój kolejny ulubioniec w Turcji to turecki bazar.

My next favorite in Turkey is the Turkish bazaar.

Uwielbiam.

I love it.

Po prostu to jest mój ulubiony dzień tygodnia.

It's just my favorite day of the week.

Mają świetne ubrania, bardzo przystępne ceny.

They have great clothes at very affordable prices.

Bardzo mili ludzie.

Very nice people.

Wyjście na bazar zawsze jest dla mnie jakąś taką atrakcją.

Going to the market is always some kind of attraction for me.

Też często właśnie mam jakieś fajne konwersacje z ludźmi,

I often have some great conversations with people as well.

And the people were open.

Z drugiej strony kolejnym takim utrapieniem był dla mnie

On the other hand, another such burden for me was

The shops here are rather poorly equipped.

Turks do not have the need to eat various kinds of products.

They are more accustomed to their own cuisine.

And they don't look for too many variations.

And I, being a vegetarian,

I usually eat somewhat diversely.

I w Polsce bardzo lubiłam na przykład kuchnię azjatycką.

And in Poland, I really liked, for example, Asian cuisine.

I mamy dosyć pokaźny dostęp do produktów azjatyckich.

And we have quite a substantial access to Asian products.

Jeżeli chodzi o jakieś nudle, czy sosy, dodatki, przyprawy.

As for any noodles, sauces, additives, or spices.

Dostępność produktów jest ogromna.

The availability of products is immense.

ale cena jest bardzo wysoka.

but the price is very high.

Ja w Polsce bardzo dużo chodziłam do lumpeksów.

I went to thrift shops a lot in Poland.

Kupowałam bardzo dużo ubrań.

I bought a lot of clothes.

Kupowałam bardzo dużo jakichś takich gadżetów, których nie używałam.

I used to buy a lot of gadgets that I never used.

Tutaj mamy ograniczony budżet.

Here we have a limited budget.

I po prostu bardzo dużo rzeczy jest niesamowicie drogich.

And simply, a lot of things are incredibly expensive.

Bo ceny są naprawdę wysokie i one rosną z dnia na dzień.

Because prices are really high and they are rising day by day.

Także ja nie mogę sobie pozwolić na to, żeby co kilka dni kupować sobie nowe ubrania.

I also can't afford to buy myself new clothes every few days.

Albo jakieś dodatki, albo jakieś gadżety, których nawet nie będę używać.

Either some accessories or some gadgets that I won't even use.

Tutaj nie ma lumpeksów.

Nie ma sklepów z używaną odzieżą.

Rynek wtórny w Turcji jest bardzo dziwny.

The secondary market in Turkey is very strange.

It is not working completely correctly.

Turcy nie są fanami kupowania rzeczy z drugiej ręki.

Turks are not fans of buying second-hand items.

Gdzie uważam, że Polacy są specjalistami od tego.

Where I believe that Poles are specialists in this.

Tutaj jest tak, że jak ktoś coś sprzedaje używanego,

Here it is such that when someone sells something used,

to potrafią sprzedawać to jeszcze drożej niż ten produkt kosztuje jako nowy w sklepie.

Jeżeli sprzedają właśnie już ubrania, to dużo drożej.

I np. nie ma tutaj dostępu do rzeczy vintage.

Takich jakichś unikatowych np. torebek, jak można znaleźć u nas w lumpeksach.

Unique items, for example, bags, that can be found in our thrift stores.

Albo ogólnie ubrań.

Or generally clothes.

Wszystko jest właśnie z siłówek.

Everything is just about strength training.

Wszystko sprzedają z sieciówek.

They sell everything from chain stores.

Takich rzeczy retro, vintage raczej się pozbywają.

Such retro, vintage items are usually disposed of.

Nie jest to atrakcyjnym produktem tutaj.

It is not an attractive product here.

I pozbywają mam na myśli.

And I mean getting rid of mom.

Nie nawet sprzedają, tylko po prostu wyrzucają i tyle.

They don't even sell it, they just throw it away, and that's it.

W ogóle taka mała dygresja.
