and I kind of managed to understand how the drums and percussion worked, like,

enquanto a guitarra, pra mim, continuava sendo um mistério, sabe?

while the guitar, for me, continued to be a mystery, you know?

Mas foi mais ou menos assim, com nove anos, dez anos, que eu entrei pra bateria.

But it was more or less like this, when I was nine or ten years old, that I started playing the drums.

E aí tu largou a guitarra?

So, did you give up the guitar?

Larguei de vez, até hoje não sei fazer um dó.

I quit for good, to this day I can't play a C note.

E daí, ele falou que a banda ia acabar.

And then he said that the band was going to break up.

Ele tava montando uma banda nova pra cair na estrada com ele, fazer o trabalho solo dele, né?

He was putting together a new band to hit the road with him, to do his solo work, right?

E foi aí que ele me chamou.

And that was when he called me.

Ele foi ver depois a minha outra banda tocar.

He went to see my other band play afterwards.

E daí, a gente, não, vamos fazer, vamos.

So, we, no, let's do it, we will.

E aí, deu uns 20 dias, ele me ligou e disse, velho, o Boizinho não vai mais fazer a última turnê.

So, about 20 days later, he called me and said, man, Boizinho is not going to do the last tour anymore.

Tu quer fazer?

Do you want to do it?

Eu falei, mas é óbvio que eu quero fazer.

I said, but it's obvious that I want to do it.

Eu cresci com ele desde pequeno e a gente segue morando junto até hoje.

E eles se conheceram na faculdade e eu tava no colégio e o Henrique tinha 14 anos, eu acho.

E aí a gente se encontrou, fizemos um som, isso em 2014.

And then we met, we made some music, that was in 2014.

E aí decidimos montar.

And then we decided to set up.

E aí começamos a banda.

E isso já colou um empresário na gente, o Fábio, que, nossa, nos deu uma puta força no início.

And this already connected us with a businessman, Fábio, who, wow, gave us a huge boost in the beginning.

E a gente foi fazendo show no Rio Grande do Sul, lançamos um disco.

And we were doing shows in Rio Grande do Sul, we released an album.

A gente tocou muito lá, muito, muito.

We played a lot there, a lot, a lot.

E até em São Paulo a gente chegou a tocar, em Osasco, num festival.

And we even played in São Paulo, in Osasco, at a festival.

Até que chegou a hora que a gente viu que a gente precisava sair do Rio Grande do Sul, porque...

Until the time came when we saw that we needed to leave Rio Grande do Sul because...

Cresceu.

It grew.

Não é porque cresceu, mas é porque a gente queria crescer.

It's not because it grew, but because we wanted to grow.
