Este é o conto dos céus e da terra quando eles foram criados,

This is the story of the heavens and the earth when they were created,

quando o Senhor Deus fez a terra e os céus.

Agora, nenhum frango ainda havia aparecido na terra,

Now, no chicken had yet appeared on the earth.

mas as chuvas saíram da terra e inundaram a toda a superfície do chão.

Então o Senhor formou um homem do chão,

Then the Lord formed a man from the ground,

e o respirou em seus nostrils o respirar da vida,

and he breathed into his nostrils the breath of life,

e o homem se tornou um ser vivo.

Agora o Senhor Deus plantou um jardim no oeste, em Edom,

Now the Lord God planted a garden in the west, in Eden,

e lá ele plantou,

onde o homem havia se formado.

O Senhor Deus fez todos os tipos de árvores crescerem fora do chão,

The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground,

árvores que estavam apoiando o olho e o bem para o bem.

No meio do jardim havia o árvore da vida e o árvore do conhecimento do bem e do mal.

In the middle of the garden there was the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Uma rioa que se lavava no jardim flutuou de Edom.

A girl who washed herself in the garden floated from Edom.

De lá, ela foi separada em quatro águas de cabeça.

From there, she was separated into four waters headfirst.

O nome do primeiro é o Pishan. Ele vence através da terra inteira de Havla, onde há gado. O gado daquela terra é bom. Aromática, resina e anícdota também estão lá.

The name of the first is Pishan. He triumphs through the entire land of Havla, where there is cattle. The cattle of that land are good. Spices, resin, and anise are also there.

O nome do segundo rio é o Gean. Ele vence através da terra inteira de Kush. O nome do terceiro rio é o Tigris. Ele corre pelo lado oeste de Asher. E o quarto rio é o Euphrates.

The name of the second river is the Gean. It flows through the entire land of Kush. The name of the third river is the Tigris. It runs along the west side of Asher. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

O Senhor Deus levou o homem e o colocou no jardim de Eden para trabalhá-lo e cuidá-lo.

The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

E o Senhor Deus comandou o homem, você é livre de comer de qualquer árvore no jardim, mas você não deve comer do árvore do conhecimento de Good e Evil, porque quando você comer dele, você certamente vai morrer.

And the Lord God commanded the man, you are free to eat from any tree in the garden, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it, you will surely die.

O Senhor Deus disse, não é bom para o homem estar sozinho, eu vou fazer um ajudante adequado para ele.

The Lord God said, it is not good for man to be alone, I will make a suitable helper for him.

Agora o Senhor Deus tinha formado fora do chão todos os animais brancos.

Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the white animals.

E todos os pássaros no céu. Ele os trouxe para o homem para ver o que ele os chamaria. E o que o homem chamava de cada criatura viva, esse era o seu nome.

And all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.

Então o homem deu nomes a todos os animais brancos, os pássaros no céu e todos os animais brancos.

So the man named all the white animals, the birds in the sky, and all the white animals.

Mas para Adam, nenhum ajudante adequado foi encontrado. Então o Senhor Deus causou o homem a cair em um dorme profundo. E enquanto ele dormia, ele pegou um dos pássaros do homem.

But for Adam, no suitable helper was found. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. And while he slept, he took one of the man's ribs.

E o Senhor Deus disse, não é bom para o homem estar sozinho, eu vou fazer um ajudante adequado para ele. E o Senhor Deus disse, não é bom para o homem estar sozinho, eu vou fazer um dorme profundo.

And the Lord God said, it is not good for man to be alone, I will make a suitable helper for him. And the Lord God said, it is not good for man to be alone, I will make a deep sleep.

Então o Senhor Deus fez um ajudante adequado para ele. E o Senhor Deus disse, não é bom para o homem estar sozinho, eu vou fazer um ajudante adequado para ele.

Then the Lord God made a suitable helper for him. And the Lord God said, it is not good for man to be alone; I will make a suitable helper for him.
