Vamos saber um pouquinho mais sobre a história dela aqui no festival, sobre Fringe, sobre produção.

Actually, that is the first question, Pri.

Quanto tempo dentro da produção, como foi seu início, como começou a sua história dentro desse contexto?

How long have you been in production, how did your journey begin, how did your story start within this context?

Oi, oi. Essa é a melhor pergunta, porque meu primeiro trabalho remunerado com produção

Hi, hi. This is the best question because my first paid job was in production.

foi há 10 anos atrás, com o Fringe, no Festival de Curitiba.

It was 10 years ago, with the Fringe, at the Curitiba Festival.

Mas eu comecei um pouquinho antes, na faculdade ainda.

But I started a little earlier, still in college.

Era muito mais um lugar de experimentação, ou de fazer uma coisa divertida

It was much more of a place for experimentation, or for doing something fun.

e colaborar com os eventos da faculdade e com o grupo de dança da FAP.

and collaborate with the college events and with the dance group of FAP.

Eu sou formada em bacharel em dança.

I have a bachelor's degree in dance.

E ali eu comecei a colaborar com os professores e fazer alguns eventos.

And there I started to collaborate with the teachers and organize some events.

Em algum momento eu tive um burnout dentro da sala de aula, eu era professora de dança.

At some point, I experienced burnout in the classroom; I was a dance teacher.

E...

And...

Decidi que queria fazer aquilo que estava sendo divertido, que era a produção, como profissão.

I decided that I wanted to do what was fun, which was production, as a profession.

E fui atrás de saber como que acontecia isso.

And I went to find out how this happened.

E naquele momento, que eu tinha acabado de me formar,

And at that moment, when I had just graduated,

estavam chamando produtores para o Fringe.

They were calling for producers for the Fringe.

E eu entrei, e o Fringe foi super a escola da produtora e gestora de projetos que eu sou hoje.

And I joined, and Fringe was really the school of the producer and project manager that I am today.

Mas você já produziu várias outras coisas, né?

But you have already produced several other things, right?

Inclusive no meio musical, que a gente sabe.

Including in the music scene, as we know.

E como foi esse processo também desse outro meio, né?

And how was this process with this other means, right?

Virando teatro, da dança, mas as produções musicais também.

Turning into theater, from dance, but also musical productions.

Paralelamente a esse processo com as artes cênicas, eu sempre, tipo, por ter muitos amigos artistas,

At the same time as this process with the performing arts, I have always, like, because I have many artist friends,

ser artista também, eu comecei a colaborar com eles e a escrever projetos de leis de incentivo junto com eles.

Being an artist too, I started to collaborate with them and to write incentive law projects with them.

Na tentativa e erro, né? Vamos escrevendo e vamos ver se passa.

In trial and error, right? We'll keep writing and see if it works.

E muitos desses artistas eram músicos.

And many of those artists were musicians.

E... Então a música já estava super presente, estava antes também, porque como professora de ballet,

And... So the music was already very present, it was before too, because as a ballet teacher,

eu tinha muita música envolvida, e eu trabalho hoje tanto com música, com artes cênicas e com artes visuais.

I had a lot of music involved, and I work today both with music, with performing arts, and with visual arts.

Bom, o Fringe, ele deu um... Teve um hiatozinho ali, porque teve pandemia, depois ele ficou um ano sem acontecer.

Well, Fringe had a little... There was a small hiatus because of the pandemic, then it didn't happen for a year.

E está voltando agora, né? Voltou já desse ano e está voltando com tudo, né?

And it's coming back now, right? It has already returned this year and is coming back with a bang, right?

Agora para ficar de verdade e com algumas mudanças.

Now to make it real and with some changes.

Eu queria que você falasse um pouco dessas mudanças. O que mudou daquela fase pré-pandemia e para agora?

I would like you to talk a little about these changes. What has changed from the pre-pandemic phase to now?

A gente entendeu, eu e a Fabiola,

We understood, me and Fabiola,

que... A Fabiola é a nossa diretora,

that... Fabiola is our director,

que o Fringe nunca tinha mudado o formato dele,

that the Fringe had never changed its format,

e ele já estava com 20 e poucos anos antes da pandemia.

And he was already in his early twenties before the pandemic.

Com a pausa, e entendendo que essa pausa era por uma necessidade também,

With the pause, and understanding that this pause was due to a need as well,

como sendo uma mostra democrática, onde as pessoas vêm participar do Fringe por conta própria,

as a democratic showcase, where people come to participate in the Fringe on their own accord,

eles ainda não tinham condições de se recuperar do momento pandêmico e tudo,

they still did not have the conditions to recover from the pandemic moment and everything,

a gente pensou que era hora de repaginar esse evento,

we thought it was time to refresh this event,

que já estava maior de idade,

who was already of legal age,

em como fazê-lo ser mais eficaz e eficiente e de maior qualidade,

on how to make it more effective, efficient, and of higher quality,

tanto para o público quanto para as pessoas que participam.

both for the audience and for the people who participate.

Então a gente fez uma, em termos empreendedores, uma análise SWOT completa

So we did a complete SWOT analysis in entrepreneurial terms.

sobre o que dava certo, o que dava errado, onde que a gente podia melhorar,

about what worked, what went wrong, where we could improve,

quais eram os nossos pontos fortes.

what our strengths were.

E chegamos nesse novo formato, em que a gente tem um circuito,

And we have arrived at this new format, where we have a circuit,

um circuito independente, a rua, que é o cartão de visitas do festival,

an independent circuit, the street, which is the calling card of the festival,

e as mostras que dão uma oportunidade da gente poder ajudar e estruturar melhor essas propostas,

and the samples that give us an opportunity to help and better structure these proposals,

e também o público não se perde tanto e consegue ir atrás dos temas e dos conceitos que eles gostam mais.

And also the audience doesn't get lost as much and is able to follow the themes and concepts that they like more.

E o Fringe é enorme, né?

And the Fringe is huge, right?

Então sempre tem muitos espetáculos, muitas mostras, muitos artistas.

So there are always many shows, many exhibitions, many artists.

Como é que você se organiza com tudo isso? Porque a demanda é gigantesca.

How do you organize yourself with all of this? Because the demand is enormous.

É um delírio.

It's a delusion.

A gente sempre começa muito antes, então o festival acontece em março

We always start much earlier, so the festival takes place in March.

e as pessoas não imaginam que a gente começa a pensar o Fringe em setembro

And people don't realize that we start thinking about the Fringe in September.

para abrir cadastros, para analisar as propostas e para estruturar essa programação,

to open registrations, to analyze the proposals, and to structure this programming,

que fica numa base entre 200 e 300 espetáculos hoje em dia,

which is typically between 200 and 300 performances nowadays,

acontecendo durante 12 dias em muitos espaços.

happening over 12 days in many spaces.

Então é uma equipe muito grande, tem uma equipe de coordenação,

So it's a very large team, there is a coordination team,

equipe técnica dos produtores que operacionalizam.

technical team of the producers who operate.

E ainda esse ramo com todos os outros campos do festival, que também está no backstage.

And this branch with all the other fields of the festival, which is also in the backstage.

O pessoal não imagina que tem comercial, logística, comunicação e tudo isso para fazer dar certo.

People don't realize that there is marketing, logistics, communication, and all of that to make it work.

Você tem algum ponto da sua gestão que você acha que é importante nesse processo do Fringe?

Do you have any point in your management that you think is important in this Fringe process?

Sim, eu acho que é o que a maior parte da galera reconhece, que é essa gestão de equipe.

Yes, I think that's what most people recognize, which is this team management.

Essa formação de equipe, que além de equipe vira família, que é tanto eu na coordenação,

This team formation, which beyond being a team becomes a family, is so much me in the coordination,

minhas assistentes e esses produtores operacionais que vão para os espaços, vão para a rua.

my assistants and these operational producers who go to the places, go out to the street.

Esse é um lugar onde muita gente, e eu sou o exemplo disso, se formou enquanto produtor.

This is a place where many people, and I am an example of that, graduated as producers.

Ver essa oportunidade de poder ter contato com companhias, poder ter contato com uma estrutura de um evento muito grande

Seeing this opportunity to be able to connect with companies, to be able to engage with the structure of a very large event.

e tirar disso o proveito para seguir carreira.

and take advantage of it to pursue a career.

É, eu mesma comecei no Fringe, né?

Yeah, I started at the Fringe myself, right?

E estamos aí. O Fringe é, com certeza, um dos espaços mais bonitos que existem dentro do festival.

And we are here. The Fringe is certainly one of the most beautiful spaces that exist within the festival.

Porque as pessoas estão passando por ali, não sabem o que está acontecendo, de repente para e, de repente, aquele espetáculo muda o dia daquela pessoa.

Because people are passing by there, they don't know what is happening, suddenly it stops, and suddenly that spectacle changes that person's day.

Eu já vi bastante coisas, muitos exemplos desses nessa época do Fringe.

I have seen a lot of things, many examples of that during Fringe time.

Agora, você falou que, sim, você é artista.

Now, you said that, yes, you are an artist.

Está escondidinha.

It's hiding.

E ainda, essa artista aí, ainda pretende voltar aos palcos em algum momento?

And still, does that artist there still intend to return to the stage at some point?

Não, sou bailarina aposentada.

No, I am a retired dancer.

Mas eu acho que eu expresso esse lugar criativo, tanto na produção, para além do festival, eu tenho a minha produtora diversa,

But I think I express that creative space, both in production, beyond the festival, I have my diverse production company,

que faz consultoria, cocriação, oficinas para artistas e para grupos e tudo mais.

that provides consulting, co-creation, workshops for artists and groups, and everything else.

Trabalho muito com lei de incentivo e eu tenho, eu coloco minha criatividade nesse lugar de gestão.

I work a lot with incentive law and I put my creativity into this management role.

E também tem os hobbies, né, que a gente alimenta por aí, mas dança, processo de investigação de dança contemporânea, que era o meu lugar, esse realmente está guardadinho.

And there are also the hobbies, right, that we nurture out there, but dance, the investigation process of contemporary dance, which was my place, that one is really kept safe.

Muita gente pede, mas eu não consigo acessar mais.

Many people ask, but I can't access it anymore.

Mas tem uma parte artística, sobretudo, que acontece em fevereiro, que você está bem inserida, que é o carnaval.

But there is an artistic part, above all, that takes place in February, in which you are well immersed, which is Carnival.

Como escorpiana, sou filha do carnaval, sempre acompanho o carnaval desde bebê, tenho fotos na casa da mãe de fraldinha e de filha.

As a Scorpio, I am a child of carnival; I have always followed the carnival since I was a baby, I have photos at my mother's house in diapers and as a daughter.

Eu sou figurino e, recentemente, eu entrei para dentro do cordão.

I am a costume designer, and recently, I joined the crew.

Fui fulian, Maria Bloquinho, Maria Cordão, por muito tempo, mas entrei para dentro do cordão, puxando um bloco daqui de Curitiba,

I was a fulian, Maria Bloquinho, Maria Cordão, for a long time, but I went inside the cordão, pulling a block from here in Curitiba.

que é um lugar que é muito gostoso de experimentar e de estar, mas é um hobby.

it's a place that is very nice to experience and to be in, but it's a hobby.

O bloco que a Pri está falando é a bloca Saí do Armário e Me Dei Bem, né, que é composto exclusivamente por pessoas LGBTQIA+.

The group that Pri is talking about is the block "Came Out of the Closet and Did Well," right, which is made up exclusively of LGBTQIA+ people.

E que, né, tem uma representatividade dentro desse conceito.

And that, you know, has a representativeness within this concept.

Nossa, eu tenho uma lista de cinco carnavais que eu quero viver e eu nunca vivi carnavais fora dos contextos onde eu estava morando.

Wow, I have a list of five carnivals that I want to experience and I've never experienced carnivals outside the contexts where I was living.

Então, mesmo aqui em Curitiba, há muito tempo, eu ia para o interior, eu vivia o carnaval daqui, o pré-carnaval.

A gente passa um mês, um mês e meio ocupando as ruas e, no feriado, geralmente chove.
