Era uma vez uma flor que voava num dia de primavera, a procura da flor perfeita para se casar com ela.

Once upon a time, there was a flower that flew on a spring day, in search of the perfect flower to marry.

Todos os dias ele saía para procurar mais e mais.

Every day he went out to look for more and more.

Todas as flores eram bonitas.

All the flowers were beautiful.

Mas então um dia ele encontrou a flor mais bela do jardim, que ficava muito longe de sua casa.

But then one day he found the most beautiful flower in the garden, which was very far from his home.

Eles foram se conhecendo e o beija-flor ia visitar todos os dias aquela flor.

They got to know each other, and the hummingbird would visit that flower every day.

Voava, voava de muito longe só para vê-la.

I flew, I flew from very far away just to see her.

Mas um dia sua amada acabou murchando e não sobreviveu.

But one day your beloved wilted and did not survive.

Ele ficou de coração partido.

He was heartbroken.

E nada mais o alegrava.

And nothing else made him happy.

Mas com o tempo ele superou e saiu novamente para fora de casa e contava a todos a história

But over time he got over it and went outside again, telling everyone the story.

daquela flor mais bela do jardim, que sempre teria um lugar em seu coração.

from that most beautiful flower in the garden, which would always have a place in her heart.
