Ou se tem chuva e não se tem sol

Either it's raining and there's no sun.

Ou se tem sol e não se tem chuva

Either there is sun and no rain.

Ou se calça a luva e não se põe um anel

Either you put on the glove or you don't wear a ring.

Ou se põe um anel e não se calça a luva

Either you put on a ring or you don't wear the glove.

Quem sobe nos ares não fica no chão

Who rises into the air does not stay on the ground.

Quem fica no chão não sobe nos ares

Those who stay on the ground do not rise in the air.

É uma grande pena que não se possa estar

It's a great pity that one cannot be.

Ao mesmo tempo nos dois lugares

At the same time in both places.

Ou guardo dinheiro e não compro doce

Either I save money and don't buy candy.

Ou compro doce e gasto dinheiro

Either I buy candy and spend money.

Isto ou aquilo, ou isto ou aquilo

This or that, or this or that.

Vivo escolhendo o dia inteiro

I keep choosing all day long.

Não sei se brinco, não sei se estudo

I don't know if I play, I don't know if I study.

Se saio correndo ou fico tranquilo

If I run away or stay calm

Mas não consegui entender ainda qual é melhor

But I still couldn't understand which one is better.

Não sei se sobe ou se calça a luva

I don't know if it goes up or puts on the glove.
