A PNL surgiu no comecinho da década de 70, onde duas pessoas importantes, o Richard Bandler e o John Grinder.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) emerged at the beginning of the 1970s, where two important people, Richard Bandler and John Grinder.

O Richard Bandler era estudante de matemática, e aí ele estava fazendo uns bicos para ajudar a pagar a faculdade dele,

Richard Bandler was a math student, and he was doing some odd jobs to help pay for his college.

e ele fazia exatamente isso, gravações de apresentações de várias pessoas.

And he did exactly that, recordings of presentations by various people.

E um dia ele foi fazer a gravação.

And one day he went to do the recording.

De uma apresentação da Virginia Satie, uma fantástica terapeuta familiar.

From a presentation by Virginia Satie, a fantastic family therapist.

E aí, ela estava lá falando, toda numa linguagem que ele nunca tinha ouvido falar,

And there she was talking, all in a language he had never heard before,

e ela foi fazendo perguntas e ele nem sabia de onde, mas ele conseguia ter a resposta.

And she kept asking questions and he didn't even know where, but he was able to have the answer.

E ele ficou ali curioso com aquilo, o que era aquilo, o que aquela mulher estava fazendo.

And he stood there curious about that, what that was, what that woman was doing.

Então ele começou a procurar sair um pouquinho da matemática, foi estudar psicologia,

So he started to look for a little bit of an escape from mathematics, he went to study psychology,

foi descobrir um pouquinho mais sobre...

I went to find out a little more about...

Comportamento Humano.

Human Behavior.

E aí ele foi descobrindo que existiam alguns padrões que as pessoas repetiam nas suas vidas,

And then he discovered that there were some patterns that people repeated in their lives,

seja nos seus relacionamentos, seja na sua comunicação, seja para ter sucesso,

whether in your relationships, in your communication, or in achieving success,

e várias áreas da vida.

Ele descobriu que, se alguém fazia algo bem,

O John Grinder era um excelente linguista,

John Grinder was an excellent linguist.

e ele era um ex-agente da CIA,

and he was a former CIA agent,

e ele também estava a princípio ali espionando o que era que o Bandler estava fazendo,

and he was also initially there spying on what Bandler was doing,

porque ele começou a fazer pesquisas, perguntar para as pessoas,

because he started to do research, ask people,

queria saber mais como que era essa coisa de padrão,

I wanted to know more about how this thing of standards was.

e começou a criar nesse momento uma coisa chamada modelagem,

and it began to create at that moment something called modeling,

que é uma das bases da Programação Neurolinguística.

which is one of the foundations of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

E dentro desse estudo e essa junção do Richard Bandler com o John Grinder,

And within this study and the combination of Richard Bandler with John Grinder,

eles começaram a descobrir que existia um padrão neuronal,

they started to discover that there was a neural pattern,

onde esse padrão, todo mundo que tem um cérebro,

where this pattern, everyone who has a brain,

teoricamente funcionaria igual.

Theoretically, it would work the same.

Então, dentro dessa parte neuronal,

So, within this neuronal part,

eles descobriram que, para se acessar, existiam dois caminhos,

they discovered that, to access it, there were two paths,

a linguagem verbal e a linguagem não verbal.

Eles foram trabalhando, estudando,

They kept working, studying,

e aí até com o computador que estava começando a ficar famoso nessa época,

eles falaram, poxa, isso é uma programação que a gente faz no nosso cérebro,

they said, wow, this is a programming that we do in our brain,

através dessa linguagem que vai chegar até a nossa parte neuronal

e a gente vai conseguir fazer um programa para a gente ser bem sucedido,

and we will be able to create a program for us to be successful,

da mesma forma que a gente tem programas onde a gente não é bem sucedido na sua vida, não é verdade?

Just as we have programs where we are not successful in our lives, isn't it true?

Então, eles começaram a pensar, que nome teria isso?

So, they started to think, what name would this have?

Bom, estamos usando uma programação do nosso cérebro.

Well, we are using a programming of our brain.

Nós usamos a parte da linguagem verbal,

We use the verbal language part,

e não verbal para acessar.

and non-verbal to access.

Então, nós estamos trabalhando com o nosso cérebro.

So, we are working with our brain.

Então, eles na verdade só juntaram esses três nomes,

So, they actually just combined these three names,

a programação junto com a linguagem,

the programming along with the language,

e junto com a parte neurológica,

and along with the neurological part,

e criaram a programação neurolinguística.

and they created neurolinguistic programming.

Quando veio essa criação, não tinha livros, não tinha nada.

When this creation came, there were no books, there was nothing.

Então, eles foram estudar muitos, estudaram muitos nomes,

So, they went to study a lot, they studied many names,

na época que eram pessoas que tinham muito sucesso,

at the time when they were people who had a lot of success,

e eles faziam uma pergunta muito importante para essas pessoas.

And they asked a very important question to these people.

Como é que você faz para você fazer tão bem algo que você faz?

How do you manage to do something you do so well?

Então, por exemplo, uma pessoa que conseguia ter um sucesso diferente das outras pessoas,

So, for example, a person who managed to have a success different from other people,

conseguia se sobressair das outras,

managed to stand out from the others,

eles iam lá nessa pessoa e perguntavam,

they would go to that person and ask,

como é que você fez para você conseguir chegar e ter esse sucesso?

How did you manage to arrive and achieve this success?

Essa pergunta, você já deve perceber que não é muito fácil,

This question, you must already realize, is not very easy.

de se responder, não é mesmo?

Of answering, isn't it?

Por quê?

Why?

Aquilo que você faz tão bem já está no seu inconsciente.

What you do so well is already in your subconscious.

Então, eles pediam para essa pessoa ir descrevendo,

e descrevendo de novo, descrevendo mais uma vez,

até eles descobrirem qual era um passo a passo que eles se perguntaram.

until they figured out what the step-by-step process was that they asked themselves.

E agora que a gente sabe como essa pessoa fez para chegar lá,

And now that we know how this person made it there,

será que a gente consegue ensinar isso para outras pessoas,

Can we teach this to other people?

para elas conseguirem fazer isso também?

so they can do that too?

E aí, eles então começaram no campus, em Neu Piu hoje,

So, they then started on campus, in Neu Piu today,

que é a Universidade da Programação Neurolinguística lá na Califórnia.

what is the University of Neuro-Linguistic Programming over there in California.

Então, eles começaram lá em Santa Cruz a andar pelo campus

So, they started walking around the campus in Santa Cruz.

e perguntar para as pessoas,

and ask people,

e convidar as pessoas para participar dos experimentos deles,

and invite people to participate in their experiments,

para descobrir e validar aquilo que eles estavam descobrindo,

to discover and validate what they were discovering,

principalmente sobre comportamento humano.

mainly about human behavior.

Então, nesse processo, eles conseguiram validar

So, in this process, they were able to validate.

o que hoje a gente tem de técnicas de programação neurolinguística.

What we have today in terms of Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques.

Quando ela surgiu, foi extremamente inovador.

When it appeared, it was extremely innovative.

Algumas pessoas nem acreditavam que você poderia aprender algo tão rápido assim

Some people didn't even believe that you could learn something so quickly.

que é o que a Programação Neurolinguística te proporciona.

Dentro desse caminho, dessa inovação que a PNL trouxe para o mundo,

foi assim, uma bomba no mercado.

As pessoas falaram, o que é isso? Vocês estão enganando as pessoas.

People talked, what is this? You are deceiving people.

E aí, teve até vários processos onde as pessoas queriam processar o Bender e o Grinder,

porque, sei lá, será que eles estavam fazendo bruxaria?

O que era que eles estavam fazendo com a mente das pessoas?

E aí, eles conseguiram provar, até para o juiz, até na COS,

conseguiram provar que realmente era um processo.

Hoje, a gente tem a Neurociência, que ela dá uma super base

Estudar o comportamento humano, essa mudança,

Studying human behavior, this change,

tem tudo a ver com onde você vai pegar e integrar a sua mente com o seu corpo.

It has everything to do with where you will pick up and integrate your mind with your body.

Quando surgiu, lá atrás, foi a primeira geração.

When it emerged, back then, it was the first generation.

Então, era só esse processo mental, como que acontecia na cabeça.

So, it was just that mental process, how it happened in the head.

Depois, nós passamos para a segunda geração,

Then, we moved on to the second generation,

onde começou a ter uma percepção que a nossa mente

where it started to have a perception that our mind

estava conectada com o corpo.

I was connected with the body.

Então, o corpo também influenciava na mente,

So, the body also influenced the mind,

a mente influenciava no corpo, não eram coisas isoladas.

the mind influenced the body; they were not isolated things.

E depois, nós passamos para uma terceira geração,

And then, we move on to a third generation,

criada pelo Robert Diltz,

onde nós temos a PNL como um campo,

where we have NLP as a field,

onde nós estamos conectados com nós mesmos

where we are connected with ourselves

e, ao mesmo tempo, nós estamos conectados com o mundo em um sistema único.

And, at the same time, we are connected to the world in a unique system.

Então, essa grande evolução da Programação Neurolinguística

So, this great evolution of Neurolinguistic Programming.

nos faz a gente ter mudanças efetivamente orgânicas,

it makes us have effectively organic changes,

mudanças reais e mudanças que elas efetivamente fazem diferença na vida das pessoas.
