A mulher falava os pontos, com quantos pontos botava, quantos pontos tirava, como fazia.

The woman was talking about the stitches, how many stitches she put in, how many stitches she took out, how she did it.

E eu peguei a linha e fui fazendo e consegui fazer.

And I took the line and started making it, and I managed to do it.

Agora uma pergunta que muitos têm dúvidas. Muitos. Principalmente quando a pessoa é deficiente visual.

Now a question that many have doubts about. Many. Especially when the person is visually impaired.

Que às vezes as pessoas ficam com vergonha de perguntar.

That sometimes people are embarrassed to ask.

Ou não querem perguntar, com medo de ofender, com medo de magoar, de achar que vai fazer uma pergunta indiscreta.

Or they don't want to ask, fearing to offend, fearing to hurt, thinking that they will ask an indiscreet question.

Para que a gente possa saber interagir principalmente, no sentido de que a gente vai ver como é que é a situação do dia a dia de cada deficiente.

Como é que você lida com os seus medos?

Você disse que você arruma a casa, que os seus olhos estão nos pés, nas mãos, né?

E a partir de aí, nós sabemos que nossas casas, mesmo com toda a higiene, com toda a situação,

mas sempre tem uma aranha, sempre aparece uma barata, aparece um rato, aparece um animal peçonhento, como escorpião.

Por eu não enxergar, eu pago uma pessoa para detetizar a casa, mesmo por causa de insetos, sabe?

Porque eu não enxergo.

Então, eu mando detetizar uma vez por mês.

So, I get pest control done once a month.

Uma vez por mês, eu mando dar uma faxina.

Once a month, I have a cleaning done.

E aí, graças a Deus, nunca apareceu escorpião.

Mas, graças a Deus, não tenho dificuldades.

Porque, às vezes, muitos deficientes, independente se é deficiente visual,

passam por muitas situações constrangedoras, principalmente com as pessoas, né?

E eu gostaria de saber de você,

Não tem esse negócio de eu chegar num lugar e o povo ficar com aquela coisa.

Eu bago para as pessoas me tratarem como se nada.

I barge in so that people treat me like nothing.

Como se eu fosse amarrada.

As if I were tied up.

Eu quero agradecer a Deus por eu fazer as minhas coisas e não estar em cima de uma cama.

E falo para essas pessoas que é deficiente, que não se incomoda,

And I tell those people who are disabled, who are not bothered,

que segue para frente, pega com Deus, que quem pega com Deus não cai.

Who moves forward, takes with God, for those who take with God do not fall.

A gente estando com Deus, Deus orienta a gente.

When we are with God, God guides us.

Que essas pessoas sejam animadas, tenham animação, tenham coragem, pedem de Deus a força

May these people be lively, have enthusiasm, have courage, and ask God for strength.

e que se a gente for emurecer, se for ficar pensativa, só pensando, chorando,

And what if we become numb, if we stay thoughtful, just thinking, crying,

é riscado entrar em uma depressão.

It is risky to fall into depression.

Faça uma caminhada, eu faço caminhada.

Take a walk, I take a walk.

Faça uma caminhada, faça uma bicicleta, procura alguma atividade na vida para fazer.

Take a walk, ride a bike, look for some activity in life to do.

Que nem tudo está perdido.

Não é porque a gente é deficiente que a gente está morta, não.

A gente está viva.

We are alive.

E tem que agradecer a Deus pela saúde, pela vida que Deus está dando a gente

e a coragem que eu mesmo agradeço a Deus.

Pelo que eu faço.

Só eu e Deus acreditam, porque Ele está me dando o poder.
