Hoje eu vim falar sobre o tema Jovem na Quarentena.

Today I came to talk about the theme Young People in Quarantine.

Estamos numa época muito difícil, onde a gente não pode sair, a gente tem que ficar preso em casa.

We are in a very difficult time, where we can't go out, we have to stay stuck at home.

É uma situação muito complicada e, ao meu ponto de vista, vem afetando muitos jovens.

It is a very complicated situation and, from my point of view, it is affecting many young people.

Retomando um pouco nossa situação, que estamos passando desde 2020,

nós jovens somos privados de muita coisa, como o simples fato de ir na escola,

We young people are deprived of many things, such as the simple fact of going to school.

ou ir ao cinema, passear no shopping.

or go to the movies, stroll in the mall.

Ir ao pole, são coisas normais que a gente fazia que, hoje em dia, nós não podemos mais.

Juntando todos esses fatos, nós temos acompanhado vários casos de crise de ansiedade, depressão,

crise de pânico e afins, que vem acarretando sérios problemas na nossa juventude.

Pensando nesse assunto, eu vou trazer aqui para o podcast uma pessoa muito especial para mim,

Eu sinto verdadeira compaixão pelos jovens, por essa juventude nossa que está chegando.

I feel true compassion for the youth, for this generation of ours that is coming.

Porque é uma fase da vida que é uma ponte entre a infância, agora,

Because it is a phase of life that is a bridge between childhood, now,

e aí fica a adolescência no pico dessa ponte para a juventude mesmo, propriamente dita.

And so adolescence remains at the peak of this bridge to youth, properly speaking.

E eu sinto muita compaixão deles porque já é uma fase de muitas transições.

And I feel a lot of compassion for them because it is already a phase of many transitions.

E nessa situação de pandemia que nós estamos vivendo, de tantas restrições,

eles foram, se não, os mais afetados por tudo isso.

Porque eles estão sendo privados de determinadas situações que são, assim, importantíssimas na vida deles.

Por exemplo, ir à escola, a socialização que tem que existir entre eles, os amigos,

e com os professores.

Não é só pelo fato do estudo em si, é a socialização.

Eles não podem ir na casa do amiguinho, não pode dormir na casa do amiguinho,

não pode ir no shopping, não pode ir tomar um lanche, não pode fazer festa, né?

You can't go to the mall, you can't go have a snack, you can't have a party, right?

E pensando nas questões emocionais e psicológicas, você pensa que,

And thinking about emotional and psychological issues, do you think that,

se não tivesse toda essa questão de pandemia, estaria melhor a situação dos jovens?

If there had not been all this pandemic issue, would the situation of young people be better?

Bom, eu penso assim, essa fase dos jovens já é uma fase meio conturbada.

Well, I think this way, this phase of young people is already a somewhat troubled phase.

Normalmente, numa situação normal, né?

Normally, in a normal situation, right?

E com todo esse agravamento da pandemia, com todas essas restrições,

And with all the worsening of the pandemic, with all these restrictions,

esses jovens estão ficando muito em rede social, em Facebook, WhatsApp, e vídeo, e série.

These young people are spending a lot of time on social media, on Facebook, WhatsApp, and video series.

Então...

Então, estão sendo muitas informações que eles estão sugando,

So, they are sucking in a lot of information.

e a cabeça deles, a nossa cabeça, não é preparada para tanta informação ao mesmo tempo, né?

And their head, our head, is not prepared for so much information at the same time, right?

Então, cada pessoa, depende também do âmbito familiar que esse jovem está inserido,

So, each person also depends on the family environment that this young person is in,

essa pessoa vai desenvolver, pode desenvolver alguma situação mais complicada, né?

This person may develop, can develop a more complicated situation, right?

E é preocupante, de certa forma, porque tem gente morrendo de Covid,

And it's concerning, in a way, because there are people dying from Covid,

mas tem gente entrando em estado muito grave de depressão,

but there are people entering a very severe state of depression,

que acarreta uma série de outros problemas.

Os suicídios aumentaram, a gente não fica sabendo, mas aumentaram, né?

Suicides have increased, we don't hear about it, but they have increased, right?

E confusões dentro da própria família, isso tudo vai acarretando.

Então, se não tivéssemos, se não estivéssemos,

com a pandemia, eu acredito, com certeza, que tudo estaria diferente, né?

Apesar de que é indispensável o acompanhamento dos pais nesses jovens,

até mesmo da escola com esses jovens, com ou sem pandemia, né?

Porque, por ser uma fase mais, assim, que requer um pouco mais de cuidado,

de nossos pais, a gente tem que estar atento, né?

From our parents, we have to be aware, right?

E eu acho que uma terapia, um atendimento psicológico,

E eu acho que veio uma situação que aconteceria daqui a alguns anos, né?

Acho que é coisa para o futuro.

Essa geraçãozinha nossa talvez não fosse pegar, né?

This little generation of ours probably wouldn't get it, right?

Talvez os menores de 7, 8 anos.

E foi antecipado de uma forma assim muito brusca, né?

Porque eu acho importantíssimo esse encontro, essa socialização.

Eu estive acompanhando um pouco dessas aulas online.

I have been following some of these online classes.

Querendo ou não, gente, a gente dispersa.

Like it or not, people, we get distracted.

Eu, adulta, que tenho consciência mais formada, mais madura.

I, as an adult, who have a more developed, more mature awareness.

A gente dispersa.

We disperse.

A gente fica com sono.

We get sleepy.

A gente enche o saco.

We annoy each other.

Dói as pernas.

My legs hurt.

E a internet falha.

And the internet fails.

Então é uma série de coisas assim que são muito chatas, né?

So it's a series of things like that which are very boring, right?

Falando de forma grosseira são muito chatas.

To speak bluntly, they are very annoying.

Então a aula presencial é insubstituível, tá?

So the in-person class is irreplaceable, okay?

De um modo geral.

Eu acho que nem pro futuro isso não precisava de acontecer, sabe?

Porque é muito gostoso ir na escola.

Because it's very nice to go to school.

E graças a Deus os meus filhos gostam de ir na escola.

Então eu acho que na medida do possível, seguindo todos os protocolos, com a colaboração
