Nossa, meu maior desafio foi eu mesma. Meu maior desafio foi dentro da minha mente.

Meu maior desafio foi quando eu me deparei sem nenhuma possibilidade que não fosse tentar.

My biggest challenge was when I found myself with no option other than to try.

Eu olhei e falei assim, o não, eu já tenho, agora eu preciso do sim. Até porque eu vinha, como eu disse lá na frente, desde os meus 14 anos, né?

I looked and said, oh no, I already have that, now I need the yes. Especially because I had been, as I mentioned earlier, since I was 14, right?

Tentando o microempreendedorismo, que era algo que eu não entendi o que era, mas já tinha ouvido dizer sobre a pessoa trabalhar para ela mesma.

Trying out micro-entrepreneurship, which was something I didn’t understand what it was, but I had already heard about a person working for themselves.

Então eu comecei com meus 14 anos fazendo unha, né? Mas jamais imaginei que eu continuaria nessa área.

So I started doing nails when I was 14, right? But I never imagined that I would continue in this field.

Para mim aquilo ali seria só um movimento, uma coisa que eu precisava. Vindo de família humilde, minha mãe trabalhava sempre, sempre trabalhou.

For me, that would just be a movement, something I needed. Coming from a humble family, my mother always worked, she always worked.

Minha mãe até hoje é faxineira e meu pai trabalhava no Cais do Porto, então eu queria ajudar a família e queria me ajudar também.

My mother is still a cleaner today and my father worked at the harbor, so I wanted to help the family and also help myself.

Então ali eu tive que vencer. Tive que vencer barreiras, preconceitos, porque eu era uma garota nova e eu fui trabalhar num salão, né?

So there I had to overcome. I had to overcome barriers, prejudices, because I was a young girl and I went to work in a salon, right?

Não foi só para mim. Trabalhei num salão e logo depois que eu vi que eu tinha aquele dó, eu quis expandir.

It wasn't just for me. I worked in a salon, and right after I realized I had that compassion, I wanted to expand.

Aí fui trabalhar num salão de um amigo e depois não deu certo. Eu descobri naquele momento ali que eu poderia trabalhar para mim.

Then I went to work in a friend's salon and it didn't work out. I realized at that moment that I could work for myself.

Então eu voltei atrás e falei, não, eu vou vencer essa barreira que está na minha mente, que é o medo de seguir sozinha.

So I took a step back and said, no, I will overcome this barrier that is in my mind, which is the fear of going on my own.

E muitas de nós temos esse medo de seguir sozinha. Não vamos seguir sozinha para o resto da vida.

And many of us have that fear of going alone. We are not going to be alone for the rest of our lives.

Vai chegar um tempo em que você vai poder trazer pessoas para trabalhar com você.
