E aí pensei numa história, numa trama, escrevi aquele livro.

And then I thought of a story, a plot, I wrote that book.

E ele foi distribuído, assim, para as pessoas mais próximas.

And he was distributed, thus, to the closest people.

Mandei imprimir sem revisão, sem nada.

I had it printed without review, without anything.

E entreguei, assim.

And I delivered, like that.

Não tenho a tiragem dele aqui em casa, mas é um livro que eu preciso reescrever.

I don't have the print run of it here at home, but it's a book that I need to rewrite.

Enfim, uma coisa bem, bem amadora mesmo.

Anyway, something really, really amateurish.

E aí, depois que eu escrevi isso, eu falei, bom, agora eu vou escrever um livro mesmo.

And then, after I wrote this, I said, well, now I'm really going to write a book.

E aí eu resolvi escrever Beijo de Borboleta.

And then I decided to write Butterfly Kiss.

Essa história veio para mim numa inspiração, assim, no meio da madrugada.

This story came to me in a flash of inspiration, just like that, in the middle of the night.

Uma noite mal dormida, que eu não conseguia pegar no sono de jeito nenhum.

A poorly slept night, where I couldn't fall asleep at all.

A história veio na minha cabeça.

The story came to my mind.

Eu levantei, rascunhei ela e, dali, ela começou a fluir.

I got up, sketched her out, and from there, she started to flow.

Então, foi assim que começou para mim.

So, that's how it all started for me.

Muito de repente.

Very suddenly.

Uma coisa muito inesperada.

A very unexpected thing.

Eram livros que eram clássicos, realmente.

Lógico, a gente tem obras maravilhosas, autores maravilhosos lá fora que a gente precisa ler.

Mas por que não apreciar e dar uma chance para os autores nacionais?

But why not appreciate and give a chance to national authors?

Porque a gente tem muita coisa boa aqui também.

Tem muito essa questão de a gente ver no mercado editorial.
