E o tema desta manhã que eu quero apresentar para vocês

And the theme this morning that I want to present to you

é uma pergunta.

It's a question.

O que nos aguarda o futuro?

What awaits us in the future?

Todos os grandes homens pensantes da nossa época,

All the great thinking men of our time,

eles estão percebendo que as condições da Terra

they are realizing that the conditions of the Earth

estão mudando rapidamente.

They are changing rapidly.

E entendem que o mundo se dirige para uma grande crise.

And they understand that the world is heading towards a major crisis.

Guerras, terremotos, epidemias e revoluções

Wars, earthquakes, epidemics, and revolutions.

são sinais de que há algo maior.

they are signs that there is something bigger.

E que o pior está para acontecer.

And the worst is yet to come.

Algumas pessoas, porém, não conseguem antever

Some people, however, cannot foresee.

os sinais do perigo se aproximando.

the signs of danger approaching.

Outras já argumentam que Deus está no controle de tudo

Others argue that God is in control of everything.

e nada de mal vai acontecer.

And nothing bad will happen.

E outras ainda aguardam um grande sinal acontecendo no mundo

And others are still waiting for a big sign to happen in the world.

para poderem acreditar.

to be able to believe.

Por isso, eu quero que vocês acompanhem comigo lá na escritura

Therefore, I want you to follow along with me in the scripture.

Falando de um grupo específico de pessoas,

Speaking about a specific group of people,

Jesus disse algo importante.

Jesus said something important.

Oremos.

Let's pray.

Querido Deus, nesse momento, Tua palavra vai ser aberta.

Dear God, at this moment, Your word is about to be opened.

Que não seja eu quem fale, mas que o Senhor fale por intermédio de mim.

May it not be I who speaks, but may the Lord speak through me.

Diz assim.

Então os fariseus e os saduceus, aproximando-se dele,

And in the morning, you say,

Hoje haverá tempestade, porque o céu está vermelho sombrio.

Today there will be a storm because the sky is dark red.

Sabéis interpretar o aspecto do céu,

You know how to interpret the aspect of the sky,

e não poder interpretar os sinais dos tempos?

and not be able to interpret the signs of the times?

Quem pode interpretar os sinais dos tempos hoje?

Who can interpret the signs of the times today?

Ou seja, onde nos encontramos no tempo profético?

In other words, where do we find ourselves in prophetic time?

No mesmo capítulo, no Mateus 16,

In the same chapter, in Matthew 16,

o século XXI está escrito assim.

Desde esse tempo, Jesus começou-lhe a mostrar a seus discípulos

Since that time, Jesus began to show his disciples.

que era necessário que ele fosse para Jerusalém,

Quem eram os inimigos de Jesus?

A resposta, a liderança religiosa.

The answer, the religious leadership.

Os anciãos, os principais sacerdotes e os escribas.

The elders, the chief priests, and the scribes.

No entanto, até mesmo os discípulos foram pegos de surpresa

However, even the disciples were caught by surprise.

quando Jesus foi preso e depois julgado pelos líderes religiosos.

when Jesus was arrested and then tried by the religious leaders.

A seguir, condenado à morte pelo governo romano.

Next, condemned to death by the Roman government.

E não foi por falta de aviso,

And it wasn't for lack of warning,

pois Jesus havia falado aos discípulos do que estava para acontecer com ele.

for Jesus had spoken to the disciples about what was to happen to him.

Mas eles não queriam ouvir,

But they didn't want to listen,

ou também não puderam entender.

or they also could not understand.

Nós vamos agora abrir em Marcos 9, no versículo 30 a 32.

We will now open to Mark 9, verses 30 to 32.

Mark 9:30-32.

E tendo saído dali, passaram pela Galileia,

And having left there, they passed through Galilee,

e Jesus não queria que ninguém soubesse que ele ensinava a seus discípulos,

and Jesus did not want anyone to know that he was teaching his disciples,

e lhes dizia,

and he would say to them,

Jesus havia falado da sua morte e ressurreição algumas vezes.

Jesus had spoken about his death and resurrection several times.

Mas os discípulos tiveram dificuldade de entender as palavras

But the disciples had difficulty understanding the words.

e até o que era a ressurreição.

and even what was the resurrection.

Os discípulos também ficaram muito tristes,

The disciples were also very sad,

quando Jesus falou sobre sua morte.

When Jesus spoke about his death.

Em Mateus 17, 22 e 23 está escrito,

Nem ainda, então, compreendiam os discípulos as suas palavras,

Not even then did the disciples understand his words,

encontrou lugar o espírito de rivalidade.

The spirit of rivalry found its place.

Os discípulos sabiam o que era morrer,

The disciples knew what it was to die,

tanto que Pedro chegou até a repreender Jesus.

so much so that Peter even reprimanded Jesus.

Marcos, um pouquinho antes da passagem que vocês estão,

Marcos, a little before the crossing you are at,

Marcos 8, 31 a 32, diz assim,

Mark 8:31-32 says this,

Então, Jesus,

fosse rejeitado pelos anciãos, pelos principais sacerdotes,

would be rejected by the elders, by the chief priests,

E isto ele expunha claramente.

Então Pedro, chamando-o à parte, começou a repreendê-lo.

So Peter, calling him aside, began to rebuke him.

Ele, porém, voltando-se, disse a Pedro,

Para trás de mim, Satanás, tu és para mim motivo de tropeço,

Get behind me, Satan, you are a stumbling block to me,

pois não pensa nas coisas de Deus, mas sim nas que são dos homens.

for you do not think about the things of God, but rather about the things of men.

Satanás influenciou a Pedro para que saísse tais palavras,

Satan influenced Peter to speak such words,

isso jamais acontecerá.

this will never happen.

Será que em nossa época podem surgir vozes dentro da igreja

Could voices emerge within the church in our time?

dizendo as mesmas palavras que Pedro disse com o objetivo de confundir ou desanimar?

Saying the same words that Peter said with the aim of confusing or discouraging?

Mas o que poderia estar impedindo os discípulos de entender todas as palavras de Jesus?

But what could be preventing the disciples from understanding all of Jesus' words?

Este é um ponto relevante.

This is a relevant point.

Na verdade, os discípulos tinham na mente uma interpretação profética

In fact, the disciples had a prophetic interpretation in mind.

de que o Messias iria inaugurar um novo reino em Jerusalém.

that the Messiah would inaugurate a new kingdom in Jerusalem.

Ou seja, Jesus seria coroado rei de Israel e iria libertar o povo do domínio romano.

In other words, Jesus would be crowned king of Israel and would free the people from Roman rule.

Dessa forma, quando Jesus foi preso e morto, os discípulos foram pegos de surpresa.

In this way, when Jesus was arrested and killed, the disciples were caught by surprise.

Por isso, a angústia deles foi maior.

That is why their anguish was greater.

No caminho de Maús, depois de Jesus morrer na cruz e já ter ressuscitado,

On the road to Emmaus, after Jesus died on the cross and had already resurrected,

dois discípulos revelaram essa crença.

Two disciples revealed this belief.

Abram as Bíblias da Irmãos em Lucas 24,

Luke 24, verse 21.

Diz assim.

It says like this.

Nós esperávamos que fosse ele quem havia de redimir Israel.

We had hoped that he was the one who would redeem Israel.

Mas depois de tudo isso,

But after all that,

já estamos no terceiro...

we're already on the third...

No terceiro dia, desde que essas coisas aconteceram.

On the third day since these things happened.

Olha, nós esperávamos que fosse ele quem havia de redimir Israel.

Look, we had hoped that he was the one who would redeem Israel.

Então você veja que na mente dos discípulos, eles tinham essa profecia enraizada.

So you see that in the minds of the disciples, they had this prophecy rooted.

E até houve um movimento no sentido de coroar Jesus rei,

And there was even a movement to crown Jesus as king,

no segundo milagre da multiplicação de pães e peixes.

in the second miracle of the multiplication of loaves and fishes.

Em João 6, 14 e 15 diz assim.

In John 6:14 and 15 it says this.

Vendo, pois, aqueles homens o milagre que Jesus tinha feito,

Seeing, then, those men the miracle that Jesus had performed,

diziam...

they said...

Este verdadeiramente é o profeta que devia vir ao mundo.

This is truly the prophet who was to come into the world.

Sabendo, pois, Jesus, que haviam de vir arrebatá-lo para o fazerem rei,

Knowing, therefore, that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king,

tornou-se ele só para o monte.

he became alone for the mountain.

Desejado de todas as nações, na mesma página que eu estava encontrando,

Desired by all nations, on the same page that I was finding,

tem um relato muito interessante que diz assim.

There is a very interesting account that goes like this.

Quando Jesus lhes disse que havia de ser coroado,

When Jesus told them that he was to be crowned,

It is said, a test of faith, because they had to go through it.

If the disciples had been ready to receive what I wished to communicate to them.

e ter-se-iam poupado a atroz angústia e desespero.

and they would have spared themselves the terrible anguish and despair.

Suas palavras lhes teriam levado consolo

Your words would have brought them comfort.

na hora de se verem privados deles, cheios de decepção.

at the moment of being deprived of them, filled with disappointment.

Se Jesus desejava abrir uma conversação com os discípulos

If Jesus wanted to start a conversation with the disciples

sobre os eventos da sua prisão, condenação,

about the events of your arrest, conviction,

e morte, o que será que estava se interpondo entre eles?

And death, what could it be that was standing between them?

Resposta.

Answer.

Satanás estava atuando por meio de um dos discípulos de Jesus.

Satan was acting through one of Jesus' disciples.

Mas quem poderia ser?

But who could it be?

Ellen White nos dá uma resposta muito interessante.

Ellen White gives us a very interesting answer.

Você vai se surpreender.

You will be surprised.

No Desejado de Todas as Nações diz assim, na página 717 e 718.

In the Desire of All Nations, it says this, on pages 717 and 718.

Judas era altamente considerado pelos discípulos.

Judas was highly regarded by the disciples.

Existia sobre eles grande influência.

There was great influence over them.

Tinha elevada estima em suas aptidões

He held high regard for his abilities.

e considerava seus irmãos muito inferiores a si

and considered his brothers to be very inferior to himself

no discernimento e na capacidade.

in discernment and in ability.

Não obstante os próprios ensinos do Salvador,

Judas estava continuamente fomentando a ideia

de que ele, Jesus, havia de governar como rei em Jerusalém.

that he, Jesus, was to reign as king in Jerusalem.

Na alimentação dos cinco mil, procurou promover isso.

In the feeding of the five thousand, he sought to promote this.

Nessa ocasião, Judas ajudou a distribuição do alimento

On that occasion, Judas helped with the distribution of food.

to the hungry crowd.

Judas was the first appropriate one.

Your hopes were high, your disappointment bitter.

Então quem fomentava entre os discípulos a ideia

So who was fostering the idea among the disciples

de que Jesus iria ser rei em Jerusalém?

That Jesus would be king in Jerusalem?

Judas.

Judas.

Mas qual era o interesse de Judas com isso?

But what was Judas's interest in this?

A seguinte citação revela.

The following quote reveals.

Jesus disse,

Jesus said,

Se Jesus era, na verdade, o Messias,

If Jesus was, indeed, the Messiah,

o povo por quem ele tanto fizera,

the people for whom he had done so much,

reunir-se-lhe-ia em torno e o proclamaria rei.

he would gather around him and proclaim him king.

Judas teria a honra de haver colocado o rei no trono de Davi.

Judas would have the honor of having placed the king on the throne of David.

E esse ato lhe asseguraria a primeira posição

And this act would guarantee him the first position.

Então Judas, ele não só influenciava ali

Não vos escolhi vós doze?

Did I not choose you, the twelve?

Disse ele, um de vós é diabo.

He said, one of you is a devil.

O discurso de Cristo na sinagoga a respeito do pão da vida

The speech of Christ in the synagogue regarding the bread of life.

foi a crise na vida de Judas.

it was the crisis in Judas's life.

Daquele tempo em diante, exprimia a dúvida que confundia os discípulos.

From that time on, he expressed the doubt that confused the disciples.

Introduzia controvérsia.

It introduced controversy.

Estraviado os sentimentos, empregando os argumentos apresentados pelos escribas e fariseus

Misguided feelings, employing the arguments presented by the scribes and Pharisees.

Adding to the discouragement that continuously overwhelmed them.

Question.

Hoje em dia, é possível que Satanás também esteja atuando dentro da igreja,

Nowadays, it is possible that Satan is also acting within the church.

Em vários aspectos, incluindo a incredulidade ou desinteresse pelas profecias bíblicas?

In several aspects, including disbelief or disinterest in biblical prophecies?

Após Jesus ressuscitar, algumas mulheres encontraram o sepulcro vazio

After Jesus resurrected, some women found the empty tomb.

e ouviam a mensagem de Jesus.

and they heard the message of Jesus.

E ouviam a mensagem de Jesus.

And they listened to the message of Jesus.

E ouviam a mensagem de dois anjos falando que Jesus estava vivo.

And they heard the message of two angels saying that Jesus was alive.

Mas os discípulos ainda não acreditaram no testemunho delas.

But the disciples still did not believe their testimony.

Jesus havia ressuscitado, mas eles estavam incrédulos.

Jesus had risen, but they were skeptical.

Por que os discípulos não acreditaram nas mulheres?

Why did the disciples not believe the women?

Porque eles não creram nas palavras de Jesus.

Because they did not believe in the words of Jesus.

Interessante essa postura dos discípulos.

Interesting this posture of the disciples.

Porque algumas vezes ouvimos vozes,

Because sometimes we hear voices,

algumas pessoas ouvimos vozes de pessoas dizendo

some people hear voices of people saying

Ah, fulano de tal é louco por falar nesses eventos proféticos que devem ocorrer em breve.

Ah, so-and-so is crazy for talking about these prophetic events that are supposed to happen soon.

Isso vai demorar para acontecer.

This will take time to happen.

Ou nunca vai acontecer.

Or it will never happen.

Mas o fato de você crer ou não,

But the fact that you believe or not,

estar preparado ou não,

to be prepared or not,

jamais vai impedir que o relógio profético prossiga em seu cumprimento.

never will prevent the prophetic clock from continuing in its fulfillment.

A questão que surge, irmãos, é a incredulidade.

The question that arises, brothers, is unbelief.

As palavras de repreensão de Jesus aos dois discípulos

The words of rebuke from Jesus to the two disciples.

que estavam indo rumo à aldeia de Maús

E também aos outros são muito interessantes.

And also the others are very interesting.

Como vocês custam a entender

that are described in the prophecies

or we prefer not to hear

porque temos medo de saber?

Why are we afraid of knowing?

Ou porque é difícil de entender?

Or is it difficult to understand?

Ou porque alguém disse que as profecias não são importantes?

Or because someone said that prophecies are not important?

Quais foram as consequências para os discípulos

What were the consequences for the disciples?

do fato de não entenderem as palavras de Jesus?

from the fact that they do not understand the words of Jesus?
