#4 - Equipe Ruim? Será mesmo?

Há alguns anos eu estava para iniciar um projeto de consultoria em uma empresa

A few years ago, I was about to start a consulting project in a company.

e eu já tinha tido algumas conversas remotas ali com o CEO e com alguns gerentes

And I had already had some remote conversations there with the CEO and some managers.

e finalmente chegou o dia que a gente já está se encontrando para ter uma reunião presencial.

And finally, the day has arrived when we are meeting for an in-person meeting.

E eu tive algumas conversas ali informais com os gerentes

And I had some informal conversations there with the managers.

e que me compartilharam alguns insights de alguns dos maiores desafios e problemas que eles estavam enfrentando.

and they shared with me some insights about some of the biggest challenges and problems they were facing.

E que para mim foi super interessante porque aquilo mudava um pouquinho da direção

And it was super interesting for me because it changed the direction a little bit.

que a gente tinha para esse projeto de inovação.

that we had for this innovation project.

E quando eu iniciei até uma conversa ali com o CEO da empresa,

And when I started a conversation there with the company's CEO,

para a minha surpresa, aquilo que ele compartilhou comigo mudou a minha vida para sempre.

To my surprise, what he shared with me changed my life forever.

Aquilo que ele falou para mim, tocou tão profundamente, foi contra, de forma tão forte contra os meus valores

What he said to me touched so deeply, it was so strongly against my values.

que definiu que tipo de projeto eu ia aceitar a partir de então.

that defined what type of project I was going to accept from then on.

E o posicionamento dele foi algo do gênero, não escute o que os meus gerentes estão falando,

And his positioning was something like, don't listen to what my managers are saying,

eles não sabem de nada, quem manda aqui sou eu e aquilo que eu quero que aconteça nesse projeto é isso.

They don't know anything; I'm the one in charge here, and what I want to happen in this project is that.

Não preciso te dizer que em alguns minutos depois disso eu já estava fora da sala,

I don't need to tell you that a few minutes after that I was already out of the room,

agradeci a oportunidade, disse que talvez esse era um projeto para um perfil diferente de consultoria

I thanked for the opportunity, saying that maybe this was a project for a different consulting profile.

e saí desse projeto.

and I left that project.

E isso definiu grande parte dos problemas.

And that defined a large part of the problems.

E foi um dos projetos que eu aceitei depois disso.

And it was one of the projects that I accepted after that.

Eu entendi que o valorizar as pessoas, valorizar as equipes, valorizar os times é algo muito importante

I understood that valuing people, valuing teams, valuing groups is something very important.

e que uma boa liderança, ela é responsável em cuidar das pessoas.

And a good leadership is responsible for taking care of people.

Uma boa liderança, ela é responsável em fazer com que essas pessoas, esses indivíduos, esses seres humanos,

Good leadership is responsible for making sure that these people, these individuals, these human beings,

eles se conectem com aquilo que eles estão fazendo e eles performem, deem o seu melhor ali.

they connect with what they are doing and they perform, give their best there.

Mas de forma equilibrada.

But in a balanced way.

Então, eu tenho que, de certa forma, até agradecer essa oportunidade que eu tive e ouvir essas palavras

So, I have to, in a way, thank this opportunity I had and to hear these words.

e entender que aquilo ia tão contra algo ali dentro de mim, que eu nem sabia o que era até então,

and to understand that it went so against something inside me, that I didn't even know what it was until then,

que isso me ajudou muito a filtrar aquilo que eu queria para a minha vida.

That helped me a lot to filter what I wanted for my life.

Então, eu deixo aqui só um compartilhamento para que você tenha certeza
