Irmãos, é uma grata satisfação receber a oportunidade de estar aqui para transmitir a Palavra de Deus, a mensagem de Deus.

Bem certo que a gente sabe que o pastor Antônio é aquele pregador que enriquece o nosso coração e a nossa alma.

E aí eu gostaria de pedir aos amados que abrissem, fiquemos de pé e abramos a nossa Bíblia em Mateus capítulo 16, versículo 15, apenas a parte B do versículo.

Que tudo seja para a honra e glória do Teu nome.

Porque esta é a nossa vontade, é o nosso desejo, é a nossa necessidade.

Quem dizeis que eu sou?

Who do you say that I am?

Esta foi uma pergunta feita por Jesus aos seus discípulos.

This was a question asked by Jesus to his disciples.

Que antes ele perguntou aos discípulos, dizendo,

That previously he asked the disciples, saying,

o que dizem os filhos dos homens, quem sou?

What do the sons of men say, who am I?

E aí eles responderam, uns dizem que Tu és Elias, outros João Batista, outros uns dos profetas.

And then they answered, some say that You are Elijah, others John the Baptist, others one of the prophets.

E aí Jesus direciona esta pergunta para os seus discípulos.

And then Jesus directs this question to his disciples.

E vós, quem dizeis que eu sou?

And you, who do you say that I am?

São várias as respostas.

There are several answers.

Se eu perguntasse aqui a cada um dos irmãos, com certeza cada um dos irmãos daria uma resposta.

If I asked here each of the brothers, certainly each of the brothers would give an answer.

Porque Jesus é alguma coisa para cada um de nós.

Because Jesus is something to each one of us.

Mas aí eu gostaria de ver com os irmãos o que João o Batista disse sobre Jesus.

Lá em João, capítulo 1, verso 29.

A gente encontra na palavra de Deus, quando diz, no dia seguinte,

Eis o Cordeiro de Deus que tira o pecado do mundo.

Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

Diz que este foi ter com Jesus de noite e disse-lhe, Rabi, sabemos que és mestre vindo de Deus.

He came to Jesus by night and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God.

Para Nicodemos, Jesus era mestre.

For Nicodemus, Jesus was a teacher.

Para João o Batista, Jesus era o Cordeiro.

For John the Baptist, Jesus was the Lamb.

Para Nicodemos, Jesus era mestre.

To Nicodemus, Jesus was a teacher.

Ele era mestre.

He was a master.

João, capítulo 20, versículo 28.

John, chapter 20, verse 28.

Tomé foi aquele que duvidou, não acreditou que Jesus havia ressuscitado.

Thomas was the one who doubted, he did not believe that Jesus had risen.

E disse que para crer precisava tocar nas suas feridas.

And he said that in order to believe, he needed to touch his wounds.

E quando ele viu a Jesus, ele disse, Senhor meu e Deus meu.

Foi assim que Tomé viu a Jesus.

Paulo, o apóstolo, ele enalteceu como Senhor da glória.

Esse texto fala justamente da sabedoria que vem do Espírito Santo.

E lá em 1 Coríntios 2, 8b, a gente encontra o texto que diz,

Porque se tivessem compreendido,

compreendido, não teriam crucificado o Senhor da glória.

Observem que cada pessoa tem uma forma de ver Jesus.

Teve a oportunidade de ter uma experiência com Jesus.

E registrou a Jesus em sua mente e no seu coração.

João o Batista, Jesus era o Cordeiro de Deus que tira o pecado do mundo.

Para Nicodemos, Jesus era o mestre.

Aquele que ensinava, aquele que orientava.

The one who taught, the one who guided.

Para Tomé, Jesus era o seu Senhor e o seu Deus.

For Thomas, Jesus was his Lord and his God.

E Paulo o enalteceu como Senhor.

And Paul exalted him as Lord.

Paulo, o apóstolo, ele enalteceu como Senhor da glória.

Mas aí a gente vai também encontrar no livro de Lucas, capítulo 2, verso 11,

os anjos.

Como que os anjos viram a Jesus?

Ou se nós perguntássemos aos anjos, quem é Jesus?

E aí certamente nós iríamos ter esta compreensão.

É que nos nasceu hoje.

quando Jesus disse,

vinde após mim e eu vos farei pescadores de homens.

E o texto da palavra de Deus diz que logo,

deixaram as redes e seguiram a Jesus.

E o Senhor está nos chamando para nos fazer pescadores de homens.

Mas nós estamos agarrados às redes.

E não conseguimos deixar.

Mas se nós somos irmãos de Pedro,

Pedro não entendeu a parábola e pediu para que Jesus a explicasse.

E quantas vezes nós ouvimos e não entendemos.

E precisamos dizer como Pedro, explica-nos a palavra.

Sentimos o desespero de Pedro, do seu clamor,

E aí Pedro disse,

Se é o Senhor, faz-me chegar até aí.

E Jesus disse, vem.

E Pedro foi e andou sobre as águas.

E aí nós queremos observar que no momento em que Pedro desviou o olhar.

Quantos de nós aqui já desviamos o olhar?

How many of us here have looked away?

Quantos de nós já olhamos para o vento que está soprando forte?

How many of us have looked at the strong wind blowing?

Para o mar que está agitado?

Quantos de nós já desviamos o olhar do autor e consumador da fé?

How many of us have already turned our gaze away from the author and finisher of our faith?

E é interessante que aí quando Pedro se vê afundando por ter desviado o seu olhar.

And it's interesting that there, when Peter finds himself sinking for having taken his eyes off.

Ele clama, Senhor, salva-me que estou afundando.

He cries out, Lord, save me for I am sinking.

E o Senhor lhe estende a mão e lhe tira da água.

And the Lord extends His hand to you and takes you out of the water.

E lhe coloca no barco em segurança.

And puts him safely on the boat.

Pedro é igualzinho a nós.

Pedro is just like us.

Ou nós somos iguaizinhos a Pedro.

Or we are exactly like Pedro.

E é interessante vivermos este momento, observarmos este texto.

E vermos este desespero.

Nós choramos com ele.

We cried with him.

Quando passou pela vergonha de ter negado.

When he went through the shame of having denied it.

Ter negado a Jesus três vezes.

Quem que se alegra com esse momento de Pedro?

Who rejoices in this moment of Pedro?

Quem que fica feliz com isso?

Who is happy about that?

Nenhum de nós.

None of us.

É o nosso irmão.

Caiu.

Pecou.

He/She sinned.

E nós nos entristecemos com isso.

And we were saddened by this.

Mas quantas vezes nós negamos a Jesus?

But how many times do we deny Jesus?

Porque negar a Jesus não é só dizer, não, eu não sou crente, não.

Because denying Jesus is not just saying, no, I'm not a believer, no.

Negar a Jesus é quando você sabe fazer o certo e não faz.

Denying Jesus is when you know the right thing to do and don't do it.

Negar a Jesus é quando você deixa de aproveitar a oportunidade para falar de Cristo, o Filho do Deus Altíssimo.

To deny Jesus is when you miss the opportunity to speak of Christ, the Son of the Most High God.

Irmãos, nós também sofremos com ele no Getsemane.

Brothers, we also suffered with him in Gethsemane.

Quando Jesus foi preso.

When Jesus was arrested.

Nós nos unimos a ele no momento de alegria quando descobriu que o túmulo estava vazio porque Jesus havia ressuscitado.

We joined him in the moment of joy when he discovered that the tomb was empty because Jesus had risen.

Foi um momento de grande alegria na vida de Pedro.

It was a moment of great joy in Pedro's life.

E é interessante.

Pedro, ele sabia que o mestre era o Messias.

Pedro knew that the master was the Messiah.

Por causa do seu convívio com Jesus.

Certamente nós também sabemos que ele, Jesus, é o Messias.

E aí, observando suas experiências intelectuais, práticas e de revelações que lhe foram concedidas.

Nós concluímos que este testemunho de Pedro, assim como o nosso hoje em dia, influencia a vida das pessoas.

Porque a forma como nós apresentamos a Jesus é a forma como as pessoas vão crer.

Because the way we present Jesus is the way people will believe.

A forma como nós vivemos com Jesus é a forma como as pessoas vão querer viver.

É interessante observarmos esta questão.

O nosso testemunho hoje em dia, ele veio assim como o de Pedro.

E Pedro, por que?

Por que Pedro viu isto?

Porque cremos na palavra de Deus como verdade.

Because we believe in the word of God as truth.

Cremos no testemunho de Pedro como verdade.

We believe in Peter's testimony as truth.

E observando isso, nós podemos ver como Pedro viu.

And observing this, we can see how Peter saw.

E o que Pedro viu?

And what did Pedro see?

Viu Jesus da visão a cego.

Jesus saw the blind man.

Ele viu Jesus cura leproso.

He saw Jesus heal a leper.

Ele viu Jesus fazer o coxo andar.

He saw Jesus make the lame man walk.

Ele viu Jesus levantar pessoas dentre os mortos.

He saw Jesus raise people from the dead.

E o que temos nós visto hoje?

And what have we seen today?

Nós vemos isto pela fé na palavra de Deus.

We see this through faith in the word of God.

Nós temos visto isso.

We have seen that.

Sabe o irmão Roberto?

O irmão Roberto, quando começou o culto, me chamou para falar do seu pedido de oração.

Brother Roberto, when he started the service, called me to talk about his prayer request.

E você precisa saber o que Jesus está fazendo comigo.

E já foi chorando.

And he/she already left crying.

Isso é testemunho.

É por isso que é importante nós contarmos as bênçãos.

E aí a gente precisa observar.

E quais foram as instruções de Jesus?

Quando Jesus disse a Pedro, lança a rede ao mar.

When Jesus said to Peter, cast the net into the sea.

E aí Pedro disse, Senhor, nós passamos a noite toda e não pegamos nada.

And then Peter said, Lord, we have toiled all night and caught nothing.

Eles já estavam com o barco ancorado.

They already had the boat anchored.

Já estavam lavando as redes, cansados, com sono.

They were already washing the nets, tired and sleepy.

E Jesus chega e diz, lancem a rede ao mar.

And Jesus comes and says, cast the net into the sea.

E aí, para a surpresa de Pedro, que lançou, sob a palavra de Jesus, as redes ao mar.

And then, to Pedro's surprise, who cast the nets into the sea at Jesus' word.

Pegaram tantos peixes que as redes não estavam suportando.

They caught so many fish that the nets couldn't hold up.

E foi preciso chamar os outros amigos pescadores para ajudar.

And it was necessary to call the other fisherman friends for help.

Porque eram muitos peixes.

Because there were many fish.

Então, são afirmações seguras da experiência que ele viveu com Cristo, o Filho do Deus Altíssimo.

So, these are confident statements of the experience he had with Christ, the Son of the Most High God.

Quando Jesus disse, vem, e ele foi e andou sobre as águas.

When Jesus said, come, and he went and walked on the waters.

É interessante nós também pensarmos na multiplicação dos pães e peixes.

It is interesting for us to also think about the multiplication of the loaves and fishes.

Aquela multidão.

That crowd.
