Esse questionamento também vai depender muito, eu acredito, da crença de cada espectador.

Mas o suspense fica mais por aí mesmo.

He keeps circling around this issue for a long time.

E que, de fato, consegue trazer a gente pra reflexão que ele quer.

And it really manages to bring us to the reflection that it wants.

Pelo menos no início.

At least at the beginning.

Mas ficando por aí mesmo até o final do filme.

But staying right there until the end of the movie.

É como se a gente tivesse uma tragédia anunciada no começo.

It's as if we had a tragedy announced at the beginning.

E ficasse assistindo...

And you would just watch...

Que, particularmente, eu achei bem decepcionante o final.

A gente não pode querer, é claro, que todo filme do Shyamalan siga aquilo que a gente viu nos outros suspenses dele.

E eu tava bem confortável com essa ideia durante o filme.

But the way he unfolds here kind of throws away everything he builds with the suspense.

O que, no fim das contas, desperdiça o filme.

What ultimately wastes the film.

Apesar de ter essa questão da dúvida, como eu expliquei, em acreditar ou não ali nos personagens, que, teoricamente, é o que cria o suspense.

O filme fica o tempo todo dando sinais claros pra gente acreditar, dando provas, né?
