e a condição de amigos de Deus, aproximados de filhos de Deus, filhos por adoção.

and the condition of friends of God, close to being children of God, children by adoption.

E como se dá essa adoção?

And how does this adoption take place?

Essa adoção se dá pela fé.

This adoption occurs by faith.

Então, pela fé, você sai de uma condição.

So, by faith, you move out of a condition.

De inimizade com Deus, para uma condição de paz com Deus.

From enmity with God to a condition of peace with God.

Você sai de uma condição de não-filho, ou de rebelde, de criação rebelde,

You come out of a condition of non-child, or of a rebel, of rebellious upbringing,

para uma condição de filho por adoção.

for a condition of adopted child.

Em vez de falar de condição, eu falo de posição.

E qual é a nossa posição?

A posição é que nós já somos filhos de Deus, já somos salvos,

The position is that we are already children of God, we are already saved.

e inclusive, lá em Efésios, fala que nós já estamos sentados nos lugares celestiais.

And indeed, there in Ephesians, it says that we are already seated in heavenly places.

Quer dizer, é uma posição completamente nova.

So, when we do not have faith in the Lord, that is not for a Christian.

Porque uma pessoa cristã, ele já depositou a fé no Senhor Jesus Cristo e já está justificado.

Because a Christian person has already placed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and is already justified.

Uma pessoa que, infelizmente, ainda não tem o Senhor Jesus Cristo como Senhor e Salvador de sua vida,

A person who, unfortunately, does not yet have the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their life,

e talvez nós temos ouvintes aí que estão nessa situação, estão nessa condição,

and perhaps we have listeners out there who are in this situation, are in this condition,

que ainda não se entregaram para o Senhor Jesus Cristo.

who have not yet surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Então, uma pessoa que não tem a fé no Senhor Jesus Cristo,

So, a person who does not have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ,

que não recebeu Ele como seu Senhor e Salvador,

that he did not receive Him as his Lord and Savior,

infelizmente, mas isso é uma palavra bíblica,

unfortunately, but that is a biblical word,

você está injusto.

you are unjust.

Você é injusto.

You are unfair.

Você é uma pessoa que não ama o Senhor.

You are a person who does not love the Lord.

Então, só quando você crê no Senhor, aí sim você é justificado.

So, only when you believe in the Lord, then you are justified.

Enquanto uma pessoa não deposita a sua fé no Senhor Jesus Cristo,

While a person does not place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ,

não recebe Ele como seu Senhor.

does not receive Him as his Lord.

E o Senhor e Salvador, essa pessoa está injustificada, portanto, condenada diante de Deus.

And the Lord and Savior, this person is unjustified, therefore condemned before God.

E o que é interessante é que isso sempre foi, né, Itamir?

Não é só agora no Novo Testamento que a gente vê a condição da fé que nos imputa justiça, né?

Pela fé, Abraão obedeceu quando foi chamado

e partiu sem saber para onde ia.

and left without knowing where he was going.

Então a fé, ela é quando você tem certeza de algo

So faith is when you are certain about something.

numa confiança absoluta em alguém

in absolute trust in someone

ainda que sem ver, ainda que sem ter a prova completa daquilo.

even without seeing, even without having complete proof of it.

A fé mesmo funciona como prova.

Faith itself serves as proof.

Só que...

It's just that...

E isso é importante.

And that is important.

Quando a gente fala sobre fé, a gente não está falando sobre pensar.

When we talk about faith, we are not talking about thinking.

A gente está falando sobre pensar e agir.

We are talking about thinking and acting.

Ou seja, a gente acredita em Deus, mas a gente obedece a Deus.

In other words, we believe in God, but we obey God.

Só que essa fé justificadora é a fé em Jesus.

But this justifying faith is faith in Jesus.

A gente acredita que Jesus, quando morreu na cruz,

We believe that Jesus, when he died on the cross,

pagou a nossa dívida.

paid our debt.

Ele quebrou a barreira que existia entre nós e Deus.

He broke the barrier that existed between us and God.

Então, essa fé em Jesus,

So, this faith in Jesus,

é algo que acaba com a fé nas nossas próprias obras.

It is something that destroys faith in our own works.

É algo que acaba com a fé que eu tenho na minha capacidade

It's something that destroys the faith I have in my ability.

que não existe de chegar até Deus.

that does not exist to reach God.

Eu não tenho capacidade de chegar a Deus.

I do not have the ability to reach God.

Nada que eu faça pode me fazer com que eu aproxime de Deus.

Nothing I do can bring me closer to God.

Nenhum sinal no meu corpo, nenhum tipo de religiosidade,

No sign on my body, no type of religiosity,

nenhum tipo de abstenção, nada me aproxima de Deus.

no type of abstention brings me closer to God.

O que me aproxima de Deus é a fé em Jesus.

What brings me closer to God is the faith in Jesus.

E a fé em Jesus, ela separa.

And faith in Jesus, it separates.

Por isso que a gente diz que não é assim.

Mas a gente vai tendo a bênção de Deus sobre as nossas vidas.

But we are having the blessing of God over our lives.

Então, quanto mais nós nos aproximarmos,

E como já estamos na mesma condição de Abraão,
