And today I plan to talk about one of the outstanding products of the Karelia industry in the 20th century.

Это трактор ТДТ-55 «Онежиц». Почему этот трактор заслуживает особого внимания?

This is the TDT-55 "Onezhits" tractor. Why does this tractor deserve special attention?

Вероятно, это одно из изделий нашей республики, которое можно смело называть брендом,

Probably, this is one of the products of our republic that can confidently be called a brand.

известным не только в нашей стране, в бывшем Советском Союзе, но и практически во многих странах мира.

Что нам нужно знать о ТДТ-55? Во-первых, это изделие Онежского тракторного завода.

Наиболее узнаваемый внешний признак – это одноместная кабина для тракториста, расположенная в передней части машины.

The most recognizable external feature is the single-seat cabin for the tractor driver, located at the front of the machine.

а в 55-ке удалось создать наиболее комфортные условия для работы тракториста,

И ещё одно характерное отличие – это впереди трактора появился бульдозерный толкатель,

And one more characteristic feature is that a bulldozer pusher has appeared in front of the tractor,

при помощи которого ТДТ-55 формировал те самые пакеты древесины, которые затем погружались на погрузочные устройства.

Но нам здесь важен ещё такой момент, что это было, можно сказать, инновационное,

Эти две основные модификации тракторов были выпущены в количестве порядка 200 тысяч экземпляров.

Машина сходила с конвейера вплоть до 2003 года,

То есть тут десятки изобретательских задач были решены впервые в мире.

И здесь нужно вспомнить ещё, наверное, такую фамилию, как Николай Петрович Магеровский,

Это конструкторское бюро практически на протяжении 20 лет.

Ну и в заключение можно вспомнить, что вторым отцом этой машины был Борис Наумович Одлис,

И именно в период массового выпуска ТДТ-55 завод был награждён двумя орденами.

And it was during the mass production of the TDT-55 that the factory was awarded two orders.

Сначала Октябрьской революцией в 1971 году, а затем орденом Ленина в 1974.

First with the October Revolution in 1971, and then with the Order of Lenin in 1974.
