El grillo. Prólogo.

The Cricket. Prologue.

Sería un buen proyecto comenzar con estas frases y años más tarde, bajo este pilón, realizarme.

It would be a good project to start with these phrases and years later, under this pilón, to achieve self-realization.

Sueño en noches por delante, con este mismo pilón en dos pedazos.

I dream in nights ahead, with this same basin in two pieces.

Como toda buena historia, lo ya he escrito y lo ha de escribir.

Like every good story, what I have already written and what I will write.

Lo que más me atrae de este proyecto es que parece ser imposible, aunque sé que no lo es.

What attracts me the most about this project is that it seems impossible, even though I know it isn't.

Si el fin es escribirlo, basta en la paciencia y la dedicación.

If the goal is to write it, patience and dedication are enough.

Si el fin es conectarme con el sujeto que quiero ser, requerirá de mucho más que paciencia y de una dedicación que uno solo pone para sí.

If the goal is to connect with the person I want to be, it will require much more than patience and a dedication that one only puts in for oneself.

Idealizo el proyecto. No habrá límites ni espacio. No habrá tiempo ni colores vanos.

I idealize the project. There will be no limits or space. There will be no time or fleeting colors.

Solo letras, de un mismo color, unas tras otras, recorriendo este pilón que aún se encuentra intacto.

Only letters, of the same color, one after another, running through this still intact pile.

Quizás.

Maybe.

Disborde incoherencias, pero pienso que al fin todo ha de cerrar, de algún modo misterioso.

I spill incoherences, but I think that in the end, everything must close, in some mysterious way.

Basta hacer la prueba y a escribir que falta tanto.

Just take the test and write that there is so much missing.
