Jesús, La Vid Verdadera - Pastora Myra Morales (11/18/2018)
Hoy vamos a ver la séptima de estas declaraciones que él hizo sobre sí mismo en el Evangelio de Juan
Today we are going to see the seventh of these statements that he made about himself in the Gospel of John.
En Juan capítulo 15, él dice, yo soy la vid verdadera
In John chapter 15, he says, I am the true vine.
Y nuestro ángelo en esta serie de mensajes, el deseo de mi corazón es conocerlo más
And our angel in this series of messages, the desire of my heart is to know him more.
No hay nada mejor en la vida que mi relación con el Señor Jesucristo, de conocerlo a Él
There is nothing better in life than my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, than knowing Him.
Y conociéndolo a Él, vamos a saber cómo relacionarnos con Él
And by knowing Him, we will learn how to relate to Him.
Cuando vimos en Juan capítulo 10, cuando Jesús dice, yo soy el buen pastor y ustedes son las ovejas
When we saw in John chapter 10, when Jesus says, I am the good shepherd and you are the sheep.
No solamente nos revela quién es Él, pero nos da una invitación
Not only does it reveal who He is, but it gives us an invitation.
Él es el buen pastor y nosotros como sus ovejas
He is the good shepherd and we are like his sheep.
¿Qué es lo que debemos hacer? Escucharlo y seguirlo a Él
What is it that we must do? Listen to Him and follow Him.
Y hoy, en esta mañana, vamos a ver qué es la vid verdadera
And today, this morning, we are going to see what the true vine is.
Y cómo nosotros debemos mantenernos conectados en relación con Él
And how we must remain connected to Him.
Vamos a leer versículo 1 al 8 en esta mañana
We are going to read verses 1 to 8 this morning.
En Juan capítulo 15, dice, yo soy la vid verdadera
In John chapter 15, it says, I am the true vine.
Y mi Padre es el labrador
And my Father is the gardener.
Todo pámpano que en mí no lleve fruto, lo quitará
Every branch that does not bear fruit in me, he will take away.
Y todo aquel que lleve fruto, lo limpiará
And every tree that bears fruit, he will prune.
Para que lleve más fruto
So that it bears more fruit.
Y a vosotros estéis limpios por la palabra que os he hablado
And you are clean because of the word I have spoken to you.
Permaneced en mí, y yo en vosotros
Abide in me, and I in you.
Como pámpano, no puede llevar fruto por sí mismo
Like a branch, it cannot bear fruit by itself.
Si no permanece en la vid
If you do not remain in the vine.
Así tampoco vosotros, si no permanecéis en mí
Neither will you, if you do not remain in me.
Versículo 5, lo vamos a leer juntos
Verse 5, we are going to read it together.
Dice, yo soy la vid, vosotros los pámpanos
He says, I am the vine, you are the branches.
El que permanece en mí, y yo en él
He who remains in me, and I in him.
Este lleva mucho fruto
This bears much fruit.
Porque separados de mí, nada podéis hacer
For without me, you can do nothing.
Ahora yo voy a continuar, versículo 6
Now I will continue, verse 6.
El que en mí no permanece, será echado fuera como pámpano
Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch.
Y se secará, y los recogen, y los echen en el fuego y arden
And it will dry up, and they gather them, and they throw them into the fire and they burn.
Si permaneces en mí, y mis palabras permanecen en vosotros
If you remain in me, and my words remain in you.
Pedid todo lo que queréis
Ask for everything you want.
Y os será hecho
And it will be done to you.
En estos glorificado mi Padre
In this, my Father is glorified.
En que llevéis mucho fruto
That you may bear much fruit.
Y seáis así, mis discípulos
And you shall be my disciples.
Vamos a orar en esta mañana
Let's pray this morning.
Padre Dios, te damos gracias por este día
Father God, we thank you for this day.
En tu casa
In your house.
Gracias por tu presencia
Thank you for your presence.
En este lugar
In this place
Ahora en este momento, abrimos nuestros corazones
Now at this moment, we open our hearts.
Háblanos, Padre, dame esa gracia
Speak to us, Father, grant me that grace.
Para predicar tu palabra
To preach your word
Y que Cristo, que tu nombre
And that Christ, that your name
Sea exaltado y glorificado
Be exalted and glorified.

O las ramas
Or the branches
Y Él dice, yo soy la vid
And He says, I am the vine.
La vid está hablando de la planta que produce
The vine is talking about the plant that produces.

En el Antiguo Testamento
In the Old Testament
Casi siempre cuando se refiere a la vid
Almost always when it refers to the vine.
Se refiere a la nación de Israel
It refers to the nation of Israel.
Y normalmente

In a negative context

In a context of saying
Como el Padre Dios los había cuidado
As Father God had cared for them.
Pero todavía no habían producido
But they had not yet produced.
Buenos frutos
Good fruits

En el Antiguo Testamento
In the Old Testament
Se refiere a Israel como la vid
It refers to Israel as the vine.
Y aquí Cristo dice
And here Christ says

I am the true vine.

In other words, the genuine vine.

The reliable vine
¿Qué es lo que hace la vid?
What does the vine do?
La vid es la fuente
The vine is the source.
Es la fuente de vida
It is the source of life.
Yo traje aquí
I brought here.
Una rama
A branch
Y no es una rama de una planta que produce uvas
And it is not a branch of a plant that produces grapes.
Más bien es de afuera de la iglesia
Rather, it is outside the church.
Por acá
Over here.
Pero para producir frutos
But to bear fruit
Esa rama tiene que estar
That branch has to be there.
Conectada a la vid
Connected to the vine.
Si no, si está desconectada
If not, if it is disconnected.
Así que es lo que va a pasar
So this is what is going to happen.
En unos días se va a secar
In a few days, it will dry out.
¿Verdad?
Right?
Y no va a servir para nada
And it won't be of any use.
Para que nosotros llevemos fruto
So that we bear fruit.
Nosotros tenemos que mantenernos
We have to stay.
Conectados a Cristo
Connected to Christ
Él es la fuente de la vida
He is the source of life.
De Él viene la vida
Life comes from Him.
Y nosotros somos las ramas
And we are the branches.
Ahora las ramas
Now the branches
De una vid
From a vine
No son como las ramas
They are not like the branches.
De los árboles que usan
Of the trees they use
Para producir muebles
To produce furniture
Las ramas de la vid
The branches of the vine.
Son ramas frágiles
They are fragile branches.
En otras palabras no sirven para nada
In other words, they are useless.
Excepto producir uvas
Except for producing grapes.
Son frágiles
They are fragile.
Y la Biblia dice que nosotros somos
And the Bible says that we are
Esos vasos de barro
Those clay cups.
Y si tú ves
And if you see
No sé si has visto en los libros
I don't know if you have seen in the books.
Los fotos de cuando los arqueólogos
The photos of when the archaeologists
Cuando estudian la historia
When they study history
Y ven esos vasos de cerámica
And see those ceramic cups.
¿Cómo los encuentran casi siempre?
How do you almost always find them?
Quebrantadas
Broken.
Porque son frágiles
Because they are fragile.
Y así nosotros somos tan frágiles
And so we are so fragile.
Somos esas ramas
We are those branches.
Y para producir fruto
And to produce fruit.
Nosotros tenemos que estar
We have to be.
Conectados a la vid
Connected to the vine.

And starts to have a conversation.

He tells them that he is going to go.

To return to the Father.
Pero que no les va a dejar
But he is not going to let them.
Como huérfanos
Like orphans
Pero que va a mandar
But what is going to send?

Another Comforter
Va a mandar el Espíritu Santo
He will send the Holy Spirit.
Y en esa conversación
And in that conversation
Escuchamos a Jesús
We listen to Jesus.
Decir
To say
Estas palabras
These words
Yo soy la vid verdadera
I am the true vine.
Y mi Padre es el Labrador
And my Father is the Gardener.
Y luego en versículo 5
And then in verse 5
Dice yo soy la vid
He says I am the vine.
Vosotros los pámpanos
You the branches.
Hermanos, algo que yo he visto
Brothers, something that I have seen.
En hablando con las personas
In talking with people.
Es una frustración sobre la vida espiritual
It is a frustration about spiritual life.
Muchos se estresan
Many get stressed.
Por su vida espiritual
For your spiritual life.
Y dicen yo quiero
And they say I want.
Yo quiero ser buen cristiano
I want to be a good Christian.
Yo quiero producir frutos
I want to produce fruits.
Yo quiero tener el carácter de Cristo
I want to have the character of Christ.
Y se esfuerzan y se concentran
And they strive and focus.
Y intentan
And they try
Pero hay esa frustración
But there is that frustration.
Y muchas veces
And many times
Sentimos esa frustración
We feel that frustration.
Cuando no logramos
When we do not succeed
Lo que queremos lograr
What we want to achieve.
¿Verdad?
Right?
¿Cuántos lo han sentido?
How many have felt it?
Quieres lograr algo
Do you want to achieve something?
No lo logras
You can't do it.
Y te quedas frustrado
And you feel frustrated.
Bueno, muchos sienten
Well, many feel.
Esa frustración
That frustration
Y ese estrés
And that stress
En su vida espiritual
In his spiritual life.
Quiero ser buen cristiano
I want to be a good Christian.
Pero no importa
But it doesn't matter.
Cuanto intento fracaso
How many attempts end in failure?
En muchas personas
In many people
Lo que hacen
What they do
Es que tiran la toalla
It's just that they throw in the towel.

They get discouraged.

They move away.

En que quieren ser tan buenos
In what do they want to be so good?
No es malo
It's not bad.
Ese deseo de producir fruto
That desire to bear fruit
Es bueno
It's good.
Porque es la voluntad del Padre
Because it is the will of the Father.
Que produzca el fruto
That it may produce the fruit.
Y fruto que permanece
And fruit that remains
Así que no es malo el deseo
So desire is not bad.
Pero es la manera
But it's the way.
En lo que hacemos eso
In what we do that.
Si estamos intentando
If we are trying
Vivir una vida cristiana
Living a Christian life
En victoria
In victory
Sin estar conectados a Jesús
Without being connected to Jesus.
Vamos a fracasar
We are going to fail.

Nos decía varias veces
He told us several times.
A los pastores
To the shepherds
Nos decía
He/She told us.
Hermanos cada vez
Brothers every time
Cada vez que hay
Every time there is
Un pastor o un líder
A shepherd or a leader
Un ministro
A minister
Que tiene un fracaso moral
That has a moral failure.
Cada vez ellos me dicen
Every time they tell me.
Que no estaban pasando tiempo
That they were not spending time.
Con el Señor
With the Lord
Que se habían descuidado
That they had neglected.
De su tiempo devocional
Of your devotional time
Que no estaban manteniendo
That they were not maintaining.
Su comunión
His/Her communion
Con el Señor Jesucristo
With the Lord Jesus Christ
Esta rama
This branch
No importa
It doesn't matter.
Cuanto dice
How much does it say?
Bueno voy a concentrarme
Well, I’m going to focus.
Voy a esforzarme
I will make an effort.
Voy a producir fruto
I am going to bear fruit.
En sí mismo
In itself
Nada puede hacer
Nothing can be done.
Tiene que estar conectado
It has to be connected.
A la vida
To life
Y nosotros también
And us too.
Tenemos que estar conectados
We need to be connected.
A la vida del Señor Jesucristo
To the life of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Y es entonces
And it is then
Cuando su vida fluye
When your life flows
A través de nosotros
Through us

What are those fruits?

May God look upon success.

Different for the world to see it.

But God looks at success.

Pero Dios lo mire
But God looks at him.
Por nuestra obediencia
For our obedience
Y nuestra pureza de motivos
And our purity of intentions.

Dios mire nuestro éxito
God looks at our success.
En la vida

No es por la cantidad de dinero
It's not about the amount of money.
Que tienes en el banco
What do you have in the bank?
Ni el tipo de trabajo que tienes
Not even the type of job you have.
Ni tu carrera
Not your career
Es tu obediencia
It is your obedience.

Y tu pureza en tus motivos
And your purity in your motives.

Dios me escogió
God chose me.
Dios te escogió a ti
God chose you.
Con un propósito
With a purpose.
Para que vayas y lleves mucho fruto
So that you may go and bear much fruit.
¿Qué es ese fruto?
What is that fruit?
Porque Dios no mide el éxito
Because God does not measure success.
Como el hombre lo mide
As the man measures it.
Primero es el carácter de Cristo
First is the character of Christ.

Esa lista de fruto del Espíritu
That list of the fruit of the Spirit.

Well, I want to be more loving.

Separados de mí

¿Cuánto puedes hacer?
How much can you do?
Nada que realmente vale por la eternidad
Nothing that truly lasts for eternity.
Vas a poder hacer sin Cristo
You will be able to do without Christ.
No es tu educación
It's not your education.
No es tu intelecto
It is not your intellect.
No son tus fuerzas
They are not your strengths.
No es tu talento
It's not your talent.
Lo que realmente necesitas
What you really need
Para producir ese fruto
To produce that fruit
Es la comunión íntima
It is the intimate communion.
Con el Señor Jesucristo
With the Lord Jesus Christ
No te desconectes
Don't disconnect.
Porque ¿qué es lo que pasa?
Because what is happening?
Cuando esa rama no está conectada
When that branch is not connected.
¿Qué es lo que pasa?
What is happening?
Cuando esa rama que tengo aquí
When that branch that I have here
Si no está conectada a esa planta
If it is not connected to that plant.
¿Qué es lo que pasa?
What is happening?
Se seca
It dries.
Se muere
He/She is dying.
Y no vale para nada
And it's worth nothing.
No sirve para nada
It's useless.
Solamente para estar echado en un fuego
Just to be lying in a fire.
Y si cada rama
And if each branch
Cada pámpano que no lleva fruto
Every branch that does not bear fruit
Va a ser cortado
It is going to be cut.
Y versículo 6
And verse 6
Dice
He says
El que en mí no permanece
He who does not remain in me.
No será echado fuera como pámpano
It will not be cast out like a branch.
Y se secará
And it will dry.
Y los recogen y los echen
And they pick them up and throw them.
En el fuego y arden
In the fire and burn.
Pero Dios desea que nosotros
But God desires that we
Llevamos vidas
We lead lives.
Fructíferas
Fruit-bearing
Vidas productivas
Productive lives
Así que el fruto
So the fruit
Dos cosas
Two things
El fruto es el carácter de Cristo
The fruit is the character of Christ.
Manifestándose en nosotros
Manifesting in us
Y también el fruto
And also the fruit
Yo creo que también
I think so too.
Son nuestras buenas obras
They are our good deeds.
Las buenas obras
Good works
No nos salvan
They don't save us.
Pero son una evidencia
But they are evidence.
De lo que el Señor ha hecho en nosotros
Of what the Lord has done in us.
Las buenas obras

La Biblia dice
The Bible says
Que la fe sin obras
That faith without works
Está muerta
She is dead.
Si no hay obras
If there are no works
La fe sin obras está muerta
Faith without works is dead.
Así que no somos salvos
So we are not saved.
Por nuestras buenas obras
For our good deeds.
Pero debe haber una evidencia
But there must be evidence.
Externa de nuestra fe
External of our faith
Y nuestro fruto
And our fruit
Es esa evidencia
It's that evidence.
De nuestra permanencia
Of our permanence
Y nuestra vida
And our life
En el Señor Jesucristo
In the Lord Jesus Christ.
El deseo de dar fruto
The desire to bear fruit
Es bueno
It's good.
Por eso el Señor te ha hecho
That's why the Lord has made you.
Todo lo que necesitamos
Everything we need
Está en Él
It is in Him.
Él es la fuente
He is the source.
De Él viene ese poder
That power comes from Him.
De vivir una vida cristiana
Of living a Christian life.
En victoria
In victory
De Él viene la sabiduría
From Him comes wisdom.
Que necesitas para tu familia
What do you need for your family?
Para crear a tus hijos
To raise your children.
Está en Él
It is in Him.
Esa sabiduría
That wisdom
Está en Él
It is in Him.
Está en Cristo
It is in Christ.
El perdón
Forgiveness
Necesitas perdón en esta mañana
You need forgiveness this morning.
Ese perdón está en el Señor Jesucristo
That forgiveness is in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Necesitas descanso para tu alma
You need rest for your soul.
Ese descanso para tu alma
That rest for your soul
Está en el Señor Jesucristo
It is in the Lord Jesus Christ.
En Él
In Him
Él es la fuente
He is the source.
Y de Él viene la vida
And from Him comes life.
Y es cuando su vida
And it is when his life
Es como la savia
It’s like the sap.
Que fluye por la planta
That flows through the plant
Por la vid
Through the vine
Hacia las ramas
Towards the branches
Y produce esa vida
And it produces that life.
Trae esa vida
Bring that life.
Hacia la vida de Cristo
Towards the life of Christ
Fluye a través de nosotros
It flows through us.
En Gálatas 2
In Galatians 2
Versículo 20
Verse 20
Pablo decía
Pablo said.
Con Cristo estoy juntamente crucificado
I am crucified with Christ.
Y ya no vivo yo
And I no longer live.
Mas vive Cristo en mí
But Christ lives in me.
Y lo que ahora vivo
And what I am living now.
En la carne lo vivo
I live it in the flesh.
En la fe del Hijo de Dios
In the faith of the Son of God.
El cual me amó
He who loved me
Y se entregó a sí mismo por mí
And he gave himself for me.
Mas ya no vivo yo
But I no longer live.
Mas vive Cristo
But Christ lives.
En mí

Esa rama es tan frágil
That branch is so fragile.
Y también tan dependiente
And also so dependent.
Cuando tú intentas
When you try
Por tus propios esfuerzos
By your own efforts
Producir ese fruto
Produce that fruit.
Te vas a cansar
You are going to get tired.
Te vas a frustrar
You are going to get frustrated.
Pero cuando tú dependes
But when you depend
De Jesús
From Jesus
Cuando esa vida fluye a través de ti
When that life flows through you.
Cuando tú mantengas esa comunión íntima
When you maintain that intimate communion
Con Él
With Him
Entonces de una manera natural
So in a natural way.
Vas a producir fruto
You are going to bear fruit.

God gave him a vision.

Y yo no lo sabía
And I didn't know it.
El Señor siempre está con nosotros
The Lord is always with us.

God is always with us.
Por medio de su Espíritu Santo
