Pero ¿qué tal aquellos tiempos en que las circunstancias no son tan buenas?
But what about those times when the circumstances aren't so good?
Las cosas vienen a nosotros, cosas que no son tan agradables.
Things come to us, things that are not so pleasant.
Aún en medio de esas cosas podemos encontrar,
Even in the midst of those things, we can find,
si no felicidad, podemos encontrar contentamiento.
If not happiness, we can find contentment.
El contentamiento va más allá de la felicidad.
Contentment goes beyond happiness.
Como digo, la felicidad se basa usualmente en las circunstancias,
As I say, happiness is usually based on circumstances,
y a diferencia de eso,
and unlike that,
el contentamiento es una satisfacción interna
Contentment is an internal satisfaction.

y al mismo tiempo tener contentamiento en nuestro interior.

Eso es lo que debemos de poder encontrar en Dios.
That is what we must be able to find in God.
En los versículos que leímos,
In the verses that we read,
encontramos a Pablo escribiéndole a la iglesia de Filipos.
We find Pablo writing to the church in Philippi.
Pablo escribió esta carta,
Pablo wrote this letter,
¿ustedes saben dónde?
Do you know where?
En la cárcel.
In jail.
Él estaba encarcelado a causa de que se había robado algo,
He was imprisoned because he had stolen something.
que había cometido un crimen.
that he/she had committed a crime.
Había cometido un crimen para ese entonces, pero,
