Hermanos, habiendo llegado al final de esta jornada que Dios nos ha concedido, reconozcamos sinceramente nuestros pecados.

Él te librará de la red del cazador, de la peste funesta, te cubrirá con sus plumas, bajo sus alas te refugiarás, su brazo es escudo y armadura.

He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, from the deadly pestilence; he will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and armor.

No temerás el espanto nocturno, ni la flecha que vuela de día, ni la peste que se desliza en las tinieblas, ni la epidemia que devasta a mediodía.

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pest that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.

Caerán a tu izquierda mil, diez mil a tu derecha, a ti no te alcanzará.

Tan solo abre tus ojos y verás la paga de los malvados, porque hiciste del Señor tu refugio, tomaste al Altísimo por defensa.

Just open your eyes and you will see the reward of the wicked, for you made the Lord your refuge, you took the Most High as your defense.

No se te acercará la desgracia, ni la plaga llegará hasta tu tienda,

Disaster will not come near you, nor will the plague come near your tent.

porque a sus ángeles te van a dar la paga de los malvados.

Dios ha dado órdenes para que te guarden en tus caminos, te llevarán en sus palmas para que tu pie no tropiece en la piedra,

God has given orders to keep you in your ways; they will carry you on their palms so that your foot does not stumble upon a stone.

caminarás sobre áspidas y víboras, pisotearás leones y dragones.

You will walk on asp and vipers, you will trample lions and dragons.

Se puso junto a mí, lo libraré, lo protegeré porque conoce mi nombre, me invocará y lo escucharé.

He will put his trust in me, I will deliver him, I will protect him because he knows my name; he will call upon me, and I will answer him.

Con él estaré en la tribulación, lo defenderé, lo glorificaré, lo saciaré de largos días y le haré ver mi salvación.
