¿Cuánta información se le da al paciente sobre lo que le está pasando?

Lo primero que tenemos que saber es lo que el paciente quiere saber y para eso tenemos que escuchar.

The first thing we need to know is what the patient wants to know, and for that, we have to listen.

No podemos informar sin escuchar.

We cannot inform without listening.

Muchas veces el paciente sabe mucho más de lo que nosotros creemos.

Many times the patient knows much more than we think.

Lo primero que tenemos que hacer es preguntar qué te preocupa, qué sabes de lo que te está pasando.

The first thing we need to do is ask what worries you, what you know about what is happening to you.

El hacer preguntas y ver cómo el otro las responde nos da a nosotros la capacidad para entender qué es lo que quiere saber y lo que no.

Asking questions and seeing how the other responds gives us the ability to understand what they want to know and what they do not.

Para el paciente que quiere saber mucho, ¿es bueno saber mucho, saberlo todo?

For the patient who wants to know a lot, is it good to know a lot, to know everything?

La incertidumbre es la peor de las circunstancias, yo creo que todos hemos pasado por incertidumbres.

Uncertainty is the worst of circumstances; I believe we have all gone through uncertainties.

Y eso es una de las grandes guerras que tenemos.
