sabiendo que es una de las divisiones más grandes del mundo, con mayor población y un buen territorio,

knowing that it is one of the largest divisions in the world, with a larger population and good territory,

que abarca desde México hasta Colombia, Venezuela y, por supuesto, las islas.

that spans from Mexico to Colombia, Venezuela, and of course, the islands.

¿Qué desafíos presenta la iglesia en esta zona?

What challenges does the church face in this area?

Lo has dicho muy bien, es una división bien compleja,

You said it very well, it is a very complex division.

no solamente en territorio, como acabas de decir, y también en los lenguajes.

not only in territory, as you just said, but also in languages.

Todo documento que se hace tiene que ser en los tres lenguajes, inglés, español y francés.

Every document that is made must be in the three languages: English, Spanish, and French.

Así que es un desafío, nada más que pensar en que todo lo que se hace tiene que llegar a estos públicos.

So it's a challenge, just thinking that everything that is done has to reach these audiences.

La iglesia está empeñada en que la educación sea lo principal de este quinquenio.

The church is committed to making education the main focus of this five-year period.

Se ha elegido también a nivel de división una asociada al director de educación,

A division-level associate has also been chosen for the Director of Education.

así que junto con el director de educación, el doctor Gabriel Flores, colombiano,

so together with the director of education, Dr. Gabriel Flores, Colombian,

vamos a estar trabajando en echar hacia adelante la educación a través de este quinquenio.

We are going to be working on advancing education throughout this five-year period.

Y este, como bien dice nuestro presidente, el pastor Islael Leito,

este quinquenio ha sido separado mayormente para educación porque ahí es el futuro.

This five-year period has been mostly set aside for education because that is where the future lies.

Nuestros jóvenes de hoy en día son los líderes de ya, de ya hoy.

Our young people today are the leaders of now, of now today.

Así que queremos que todos tengan una buena oportunidad de tener esa educación cristo-céntrica

So we want everyone to have a good opportunity to receive that Christ-centered education.

y que puedan trabajar en el futuro así, en donde quiera que Dios les guíe

and may they be able to work in the future like this, wherever God leads them.

y puedan proyectar ese amor.

and they can project that love.

Ese amor cristiano que debemos de tener unos a los otros.

That Christian love that we must have for one another.

Ya que mencionas a los jóvenes, también la división es fuerte en población de jóvenes.

Since you mention young people, the division is also strong among the youth population.

¿Qué papel juegan en sí los miembros jóvenes en la iglesia y en su desarrollo?

What role do young members play in the church and in its development?

Para nosotros es importante que los jóvenes sepan que ellos tienen un lugar en la división

It is important for us that young people know they have a place in the division.

y en cada actividad que se lleva a cabo.

and in every activity that is carried out.

A veces pensamos y creemos que los jóvenes tienen otra mentalidad

Sometimes we think and believe that young people have a different mindset.

y a veces con los adultos no se llevan bien,

and sometimes they do not get along well with adults,

pero no es así.

but that's not the case.

Nosotros entendemos que los jóvenes hay que escucharles,

We understand that young people need to be listened to,

hay que darles su lugar.

They need to be given their place.

Y no solamente los jóvenes, los chiquitos también, los niños.

And not only the young people, but also the little ones, the children.

O sea, todos somos hijos e hijas de Dios

In other words, we are all sons and daughters of God.

y como tal debemos de participar en este plan de salvación y este plan de redención

And as such, we must participate in this plan of salvation and this plan of redemption.

que todos tenemos algo que aportar.

that we all have something to contribute.

Y los jóvenes más que nada son los que llegan a otros jóvenes.

And young people, more than anyone else, are the ones who reach out to other young people.

Ellos por tener su energía,

They, for having their energy,

por tener su forma de hablar con los demás,

for having their way of speaking with others,

ellos llegan más a esa juventud que se pierde

they get closer to that lost youth

y que debe de conocer que Cristo viene pronto.

and that he must know that Christ is coming soon.

Y por eso es que nosotros estamos empeñados en que la juventud tenga su lugar.

And that is why we are committed to ensuring that youth have their place.

Y creo que vamos a tener oportunidad de crear quizás algunos tipos de programación

And I think we will have the opportunity to create perhaps some types of programming.

en la cual podamos traer a la juventud y hablar con ellos,

in which we can bring in the youth and talk to them,

ver su sentir, ver su pensar,

see their feel, see their think,

ver cómo vamos a trabajar en este quinquenio,

see how we are going to work in this five-year period,

tomando en consideración ellos.

taking them into consideration.

Fue algo que se tocó en Atlanta,

It was something that was addressed in Atlanta,

fue algo que se dijo dónde están los jóvenes.

It was something that was said about where the young people are.

Así que la División Interamericana queremos ser los prioneros,

So the Inter-American Division wants to be the pioneers,

los principales de que vamos a tener en consideración nuestra juventud

The main ones we are going to take into consideration are our youth.

y vamos a tener presente en que ellos estén en los programas y en las actividades que se lleven a cabo.

And we will keep in mind that they are part of the programs and activities that take place.

Por supuesto, ahora con la evolución de la tecnología

Of course, now with the evolution of technology.

los jóvenes están teniendo una fuerte producción de materiales, de iniciativas diferentes.

Young people are having a strong production of materials and various initiatives.

Y la pregunta es qué tan abierta está la Iglesia a aceptar estas iniciativas

And the question is how open the Church is to accepting these initiatives.

y no sólo aceptarlas sino buscar maneras de apoyar estos ministerios de jóvenes.

and not only accept them but also seek ways to support these youth ministries.

Pues entiendo que es algo muy importante que se utilice la tecnología

Well, I understand that it is very important to use technology.

porque es así donde se alcanza más la juventud.

because it is here where youth is best achieved.

Siempre y cuando que mantengamos los principios de la Iglesia

As long as we uphold the principles of the Church.

y que no se vayan por otro lugar,

and that they don't go somewhere else,

creo que debemos de reconocer que debemos de trabajar mano a mano con la juventud,

I believe we must recognize that we need to work hand in hand with the youth,

con toda la tecnología que ellos quizás conocen más que nosotros

with all the technology that they may know more about than we do

y tenemos que trabajar en unión y así fortalecernos el uno con el otro.

and we have to work in unity and that way strengthen each other.

Para finalizar, doctora, nos encantaría tener un mensaje para nuestra audiencia de voz joven.

To conclude, doctor, we would love to have a message for our young voice audience.

Un ánimo para la juventud, para la hermandad en general

A spirit for youth, for brotherhood in general.

que podamos siempre ver que el sacrificio de Cristo no fue en vano

en amor y que algún día cuando vengamos a ver que nuestro amigo,
