As young women, we have had to confront many things in this process during which we continue to expand our struggle without giving up on witchcraft.

Yaşadığımız derin ekonomik kriz, yaşadığımız erkeklik krizi her günümüzde evlerimizde, sokaklarımızda, kampüslerimizde çarpışmak zorunda bırakırken biz genç kadınlar olarak mücadeleyi büyütmeye devam ettik.

The deep economic crisis we are experiencing, along with the crisis of masculinity, forces us to clash in our homes, streets, and campuses every day, but as young women, we continue to amplify our struggle.

Bugün bu yayınımızda mücadelemizi nasıl büyüttüğümüzü ama sadece mücadeleyi büyütmek yerine kadın dayanışmasıyla birlikte bunu nasıl yaptığımızı hep birlikte konuşurken bir yandan erkeklik krizinin sıkıştığı duvarları çarpa çarpa nasıl yıktığımızı da konuşacağız.

Today in this broadcast, we will talk together about how we have grown our struggle, but not just by expanding the struggle, rather how we have done it together with women's solidarity, while also discussing how we have been breaking down the walls of the male crisis through confrontation.

Ekonomik krizle birlikte son dönemde aslında uzun zamandır bir ekonomik krizin içerisinde olduğumuzu hep birlikte yaşadık ve gördük.

With the economic crisis, we have all lived and witnessed that we have actually been in an economic crisis for a long time.

Çok uzun bir süre pandemiyi yaşadık, ev işlerine sıkışmak zorunda kaldık.

We experienced the pandemic for a very long time, and we had to get stuck with household chores.

Pandemiden hemen sonra kampüslerimize geri döndüğümüzde.

When we returned to our campuses right after the pandemic.

Kampüslerimizin eskisi gibi bıraktığımız kampüsler olmadığıyla karşılaştık ve bir yandan da bunları yaşarken derin bir ekonomik krizin içerisinde bulduk kendimizi.

We encountered that our campuses are not the same as the ones we left behind, and at the same time, we found ourselves in the midst of a deep economic crisis while experiencing this.

Bir gecede İstanbul Sözleşmesi'ni fethedenler, bir gecede kaygı mektupları atayanlar, bir gecede dolarlara 17-18 lira yapabildiğini ama aynı zamanda biz kadınların tam da buranın içerisindeyken nasıl kadın olmakla ilgili problemler yaşadığını görmeyen bir iktidarla yüz yüze kalmak zorunda kaldık.

Those who conquered the Istanbul Convention overnight, those who sent anxiety letters overnight, faced a government that could turn dollars into 17-18 lira overnight but failed to see the problems we women face regarding being women right in the midst of it all.

Today, we encountered these a little more while talking about them.

Kadın olmakla ilgili peki biz bu ekonomik krizi nasıl aşabiliriz diye konuşacağız.

So, we will discuss how we can overcome this economic crisis related to being a woman.

Özel olarak sadece kadınlarla da sınırlı kalmayan, tüm dünyaya yayılmış olan çok ciddi bir ekonomik kriz, yoksulluk, açlık dalgasıyla karşı karşıyayız.

We are facing a very serious economic crisis that has spread all over the world, accompanied by a wave of poverty and hunger, which is not limited to just women.

Gençlerin önünü göremediği, geleceksizlik furyasının herkesin gündeminde olduğu, önümüzün belirsiz olduğu günlerden geçiyoruz.

We are going through days where young people cannot see their future, the wave of hopelessness is on everyone's agenda, and our path ahead is uncertain.

And these days we are going through make us feel pessimism and hopelessness.

To express it specifically, this economic crisis is actually manifesting itself with very serious repercussions for university students, particularly for young women in university.

Bu yansımalar bir yandan okurken bir yandan çalışmak zorunda olan KKK bursuyla, KKK öğrenim kredisiyle asla geçinemeyen yurt ücretlerinin...

These reflections on one hand relate to the scholarship of KKK that requires working while studying, and on the other hand to the dormitory fees that can never be covered by the KKK student loan...

With these agendas, we see to a significant extent the dilemma that we women, we university-educated young women, face as we have to work while studying, as well as the bullying, exploitation, and harassment we encounter in those work environments.

Kadın işsizlik iddiam alanlarının çok daraldığı, erkeklerin neredeyse yarısından daha az olduğu, genç kadın işsizlik oranının sürekli kendi rekorunu kırdığı ve bu rekor kırma halinin artık bir rutin haline geldiği, derinleşen, kendisini her gün daha da yakıcı bir şekilde hissettiren...

Women's unemployment claim areas are very limited, with less than half of that of men, the unemployment rate of young women continuously breaking its own record, and this state of record-breaking has become a routine, deepening and feeling increasingly pressing every day...

A 1% tax is applied on second-hand cars. 18% on brand new ones.

Telekomünikasyon ürün ve hizmetlerinden, mobilyalardan, beyaz eşyalardan, elektronik ürünlerden bir de işte bizim en temel ihtiyacımız olan hijyenik pet ve tamponlardan %18 vergi alınıyor.

An 18% tax is levied on telecommunications products and services, furniture, white goods, electronic products, and also on the hygienic pads and tampons that are our most basic need.

I honestly believe one must act with awareness in this context.

And while being able to talk about these openly and clearly, the most discussed topic among women in the most secret, hidden, and secluded dorm rooms, canteen corners, and campus corners becomes this.

But it is still such a taboo today.

In these corners of the campus, in the dorm rooms, and in the cafeterias, I also turn to the faces of women and look at what is being talked about along with this activism.
