Then we can talk a little bit about that, I mean, we see the same issues not only in Turkey but around the world, and I want to say this often because violence against women or the women's issue is not just a regional problem. But it's nice to see that these types of international agreements actually show that the women's movement has not been completely unsuccessful.

What changes occurred? Related to constitutional, legal, or as you mentioned, executive matters.
Mesela 1990 yılında Medeni Kanun'da kadının çalışmasını kocanın izine bağlayan 159. madde eşitlik ilkesine aykırılık gerekçesiyle anayasa mahkemesi tarafından iptal ediliyor.
For example, in 1990, Article 159 of the Civil Code, which makes a woman's employment dependent on her husband's permission, is annulled by the constitutional court on the grounds of violation of the principle of equality.
1997'de zorunlu temel eğitim 5 yıldan 8 yıla çıkarılıyor ve kız çocuklarının daha uzun süre okula devamı ve eğitimi için baba beni okula gönder gibi kampanyalar destekleniyor.
