Halının Altındakiler #1
Herkese merhaba. Şeftali Bahçesi'nin yeni bölümüne hoş geldiniz. Derya ben.
Hello everyone. Welcome to the new episode of the Peach Orchard. I'm Derya.
Sanırım kaydettiğim en zorlu bölümlerden biri olacak.
I think this will be one of the most challenging sections I've recorded.
Tabii ki hiçbir şey Azrail'i Kışkırtmak bölümünü geçemez.
Of course, nothing surpasses the chapter of Provoking Azrael.
Ama sanırım arkadaki sesleri şu anda duyuyorsunuz. Deniz, çocuk ve insan seslerinin.
But I think you can hear the sounds in the background right now. The sounds of the sea, children, and people.
I have come to a place that I have always said for a long time that I should not go.
Burası Kastamonu'nun Cide kasabası.
This is the town of Cide in Kastamonu.
The story of this place is actually very different, very meaningful, truly like a fairy tale to me.
Sadece benim için değil aslında. Ben çok merak edip Cide'nin birazcık tarihini araştırdığımda
Not just for me, actually. When I became very curious and researched a little about the history of Cide.
I can truly say it is a very meaningful geography for history as well.
Hatta tarihe baktığımızda şu an Cide'nin yerli milleti burada yaşayan ilk milletin yaşam tarzlarını tamamen taşıyor.
In fact, when we look at history, the local people of Cide currently fully carry the lifestyles of the first nation that lived here.
Ben buraya 9 yaşımla geldim İstanbul'dan.
I came here at the age of 9 from Istanbul.
Yani üçüncü sınıfta.
So in the third grade.
Later on, there was a very big change for me in elementary school.
Çünkü ben çocukluğumda yani okula başladığımda gerçekten ev ve okul arasına gidip gelen bir çocuktum.
Because I was a child who really went back and forth between home and school when I started school in my childhood.
Yani hiçbir zaman işte mahalle oyunları, farklı işte aktiviteler falan yoktu hayatımda.
So there were never any neighborhood games, different activities or anything like that in my life.
Zaten çok inek bir öğrenciydim.
I was already a very nerdy student.
Aslında birçok şeyle tanışmıştım.
Actually, I had encountered many things.
Yani bunlardan en büyüğü sanattı.
So the greatest of these was art.
Those who know me know that I am a woman who always loves to be deeply involved in art.
And this is so, one of the main reasons for this is actually Cide.
Because I danced for the first time in Cide, I sang for the first time in Cide, and I acted in a play for the first time in Cide.
Cide'de maketler yaptım, yarışmalara katıldım, korolar yaptım, şehir şehir gezdim.
I made models in Cide, participated in competitions, formed choirs, and traveled from city to city.
İçerisinde bulundum Cide sayesinde ve içindeki o sanatçıl ruhu aslında ortaya çıktı.
I found myself thanks to Cide, and the artist's spirit within me actually emerged.
Later on, as you already know, I mentioned in previous podcast episodes that I studied art in high school as well.
Bunun en büyük etkilerinden biridir.
It is one of the biggest effects of this.
Perhaps one of the biggest reasons for the abundance of art in Cide is Rıfa Tılgaz.
Rıfa Tılgaz, as you know, is a very great writer.
Ve birçok...
And many...
In fact, it is a name that has also stamped the artwork.
Ve Cide'li kendisi.
And he is from Cide.
You can already find a lot of spirit from it when you come to Cide.
And it is very interesting that there are a lot of artists in Cide.
Sanat ruhlu insan, üreten insan.
An artistically-minded person is a productive person.
Maybe these spirits, these creativities come from him, I don't know.
Çünkü Cide'nin tarih...
Because the history of Cide...
Tarihine baktığımızda çok sanatı göremiyoruz aslında.
When we look at its history, we actually don't see much art.
Daha böyle savaşçıl bir milletmiş.
They were a more warrior-like nation.
Yani buraya ilk yerleşen insanlar.
So, the people who first settled here.
Balıkçılık, hayvancılık, tarım faaliyetleri yaparmış sadece.
They only engaged in fishing, livestock farming, and agricultural activities.
Ve yerel tanrılara inanırlarmış.
And they would believe in local gods.
And they are a nation that does not like to venture far beyond their own borders.
Hala öyle aslında.
It's still like that, actually.
Cide'nin yerli milleti gerçekten...
The local people of Cide really...
Başka bir şehirden geldiğinde...
When he/she comes from another city...
Siz de böyle inanamıyorsunuz.
You can't believe it like this either.
Yani bu samimiyet, bu işte hani...
So this sincerity, in this...
Herkes her yeri açık bırakarak bir yerlere gidiyor.
Everyone is going somewhere, leaving everything open.
Yani çok enteresan bir millet.
So they are a very interesting nation.
And so, it is far from the normal urban life we experience.
But of course, just like in every region, in every small area...
Birazcık böyle bilmemişlik de var.
There is a bit of ignorance as well.
Yani o yüzden onun hislerini...
So that's why his feelings...
Onun...
His...
Bakışlarını, onun adımlarını anlayabiliyorsun da.
You can understand her steps with your gaze.
But alongside all of this, Cide also has a lot of artistry.
Doğası, ritimleri, sesleri...
Nature, rhythms, sounds...
Bilmiyorum.
I don't know.
Masalsılığı da var yani.
It also has a fairy-tale quality.
Her neyse ben 9 yaşına geldiğimde...
Anyway, when I turned 9...
12 yaşına kadar Cide'de yaşadım.
I lived in Cide until I was 12 years old.
Ve gerçekten benim ilk arkadaşlıklarım...
And truly, my first friendships...
Yani gerçekten arkadaşlıklarım...
So, my friendships really...
Hala en sevdiğim insanlar olan...
They are still my favorite people...
İlk böyle...
It starts like this...
İlk olan her şeyim ya.
You are my first in everything.
İlk bağlılığım, ilk tutkum, her şeyim burada olmuş olabilir.
My first commitment, my first passion, everything of mine may have been here.
Sanatın yanı sırasında...
Alongside art...
Because he/she was at a point where he/she had learned a lot about life...
Ben Cide'ye geldiğimde artık hani her şeyi...
When I came to Cide, everything was...
Kendi başıma yapmaya başladığım bir çocukluk yaşamaya başlamıştım.
I had begun to live a childhood that I started doing on my own.
Ve buradaki arkadaşlıklar çok başka. Yani...
And the friendships here are very different. I mean...
The friendships of a child growing up in the city and the friendships of a child growing up in Cide...
Arasında gerçekten fark vardır.
There is действительно a difference between them.
Ben tüm arkadaşlarımın işte ailelerini...
I want all my friends to have families at work...
Onlar benim ailelerimi ya da tüm işte...
They are my families or all in the business...
Ailevi sorunlarımı, ben onların ailevi sorunlarımı...
I have my family problems, they have their family problems...
Hani hep birlikte yaşarız.
Remember, we live together.
Büyük bir akraba kalabalığı gibi düşünün.
Think of it like a large crowd of relatives.
Neyse sonra...
Anyway, later...
12 yaşından...
From the age of 12...
Ben İstanbul'a gittim.
I went to Istanbul.
Ablamla yaşadığım için ablamlar oraya taşındım.
I moved there because I live with my sister.
Daha sonrasında tabii ki bu...
Of course this afterwards...
Olaya ben çok dayanamadım. Yani...
I couldn't withstand the situation very much. I mean...
Olmadı çünkü...
It didn't work because...
As I said, a very different friendship, a very different environment, a very different nature...
I couldn't get used to it, and there were some other factors as well, and after studying in Istanbul for a year...
I wanted to return to Cide, and this time I went back to boarding school.
I also studied boarding school for a few months.
Yemekhanede işte sabah, öğle, akşam yemek yiyorduk falan ve...
We were eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the cafeteria, and...
O yemekhanedeki yemekler mesela mercimek yemeği yaparlardı. Bir de makarna yaparlardı. Makarnayı...
In the cafeteria, for example, they would make lentil stew. They would also make pasta. The pasta...
Pardon işte...
Excuse me, here it is...
Hem mercimek yaparlardı hem makarna yaparlardı. Mercimeği çoğaltmak için...
They would make both lentils and pasta. To increase the lentils...
İçine makarna da koyarlardı.
They would also put pasta in it.
Falan yani...
You know, like...
Çok enteresan...
Very interesting...
Bir deneyimdi benim için. Yani...
It was an experience for me. I mean...
Böyle gerçekten...
Really like this...
Katı bir yurt kuralı vardı çünkü...
There was a strict dormitory rule because...
Herkes köyden geliyordu. Onun yönetimi ağırdı. Hani belli bir saatten sonra...
Everyone was coming from the village. His management was strict. You know, after a certain hour...
Çalışma masasında bile olamıyordun.
You couldn't even be at the desk.
Yatağına girmek zorundaydın falan.
You had to get into bed or something.
Tabii şunu atlamamak gerekiyor aslında. Ben...
Of course, this should not be overlooked actually. I...
12 yaşında o İstanbul'a gitmeden yani o yaz...
When she was 12 years old, before going to Istanbul, that summer...
That winter when it became clear that I would go to Istanbul, in the summer of that...
Ben ilk defa aşık oldum.
I fell in love for the first time.
12 Temmuz 2012'de.
July 12, 2012.
Bu arada tarihlerden 12 Temmuz 2024.
Meanwhile, the date is July 12, 2024.
Tabii ki şu anda o duyguları taşımıyorum.
Of course, I am not feeling those emotions right now.
But I came to CİDE years later, and exactly today...
Aynı konumda, aynı yerde, aynı duygularla, aynı güçlükle bu bölümü kaydetmek istedim.
I wanted to record this section in the same place, at the same location, with the same feelings and the same difficulty.
Unfortunately, on July 12, 2012, I don’t know if I should thank my mussel angel or not.
İlk defa...
For the first time...
Bu...
This...
Böyle duygularla...
With such feelings...
Karşılaştım. Hatta ilk ne olduğunu anlayamadım. Yani...
I encountered it. In fact, I didn't even understand what it was at first. I mean...
Karşımdaki insanlara söyleyemiyorum bile hani...
I can't even tell the people in front of me...
Because I was experiencing such a heavy feeling that I really felt like I was sick.
Daha sonrasında böyle psikolojik danışmanlık desteğiyle falan filan aslında...
Later on, with such psychological counseling support and so on...
Duygularımı kabul etmeye başladım.
I have started to accept my feelings.
Daha çok küçüksün.
You are still very little.
You experience such a feeling, but it's not like liking someone. Of course, you like someone until that age.
Sonuçta ergen...
After all, a teenager...
Ergenlik dönemindesin.
You are in your adolescence.
Falan filan.
Blah blah.
But those feelings felt so heavy to me that I...
Hasta gibi hissediyordum kendimi.
I was feeling like a patient.
And since there are really heavy emotions, I can't even explain this to myself...
Karşımdaki insana hiçbir zaman bunu anlatamadım tam olarak.
I could never fully explain this to the person in front of me.
Hatta hiçbir zaman tam olarak anlatamadığım için...
In fact, because I've never been able to fully explain it...
O zaman...
I had written a book called "One July Night" at Red Pad. At that time...
O dönemler Red Pad çok popülerdi.
At that time, Red Pad was very popular.
I had written a book titled "On a July Night."
Ve duygularımı aktarmaya başlamıştım oraya.
And I had started to convey my feelings there.
Yani anılarımı.
So my memories.
After that, I continued to stay in CİDE until the end of 8th grade.
But of course, art continues for me there.
Zaten güzel sanatlara hazırlanıyordum.
I was already preparing for fine arts.
Müzik okumak istiyordum.
I wanted to study music.
Bir sürü anı. Yani...
A lot of memories. I mean...
Ne kadar fazla ki ve...
How much more is there and...
Şöyle söyleyeyim.
Let me put it this way.
Ben...
I...
Burada yaşadığımda...
When I lived here...
The most beautiful things for me were actually friendships and the motivation that art provided.
But the biggest lack of motivation is when familial feelings come to the forefront too much...
Çünkü sürekli bir değişim.
Because it is a constant change.
Sürekli bir onun yanında kalıyorsun.
You are constantly staying next to him.
İşte ablan taşınıyor. Sonra baban geliyor. Sonra baban bir ara evleniyor.
Here your sister is moving. Then your father comes. After that, your father gets married for a while.
Sonra babanın yeni bir çocuğu oluyor.
Then your father has a new child.
Falan filan derken...
So and so...
Böyle karman çorman ailevi duyguların içinde...
In such a jumble of family emotions...
Sen sadece sanata ve dostluğa sığınıyorsun.
You only seek refuge in art and friendship.
You are also inspired by something very big and you start to create.
Bu şey de aslında tam olarak aşk.
This thing is actually exactly love.
Ve çok küçük yaşta tanışıyorsun bununla.
And you meet this at a very young age.
Şunu da tekrar söylemek istiyorum.
I want to say this again.
Of course, these feelings are not active right now.
Çünkü o zaman 12 yaşındayım.
Because I am 12 years old then.
Şu anda 24 yaşındayım.
I am currently 24 years old.
Aşk bence canlı bir şey.
I think love is a living thing.
Her canlının yaşama, doğuşu ve ölüşü var.
Every living being has a life, a birth, and a death.
Of course, those feelings I had for me are dead as well.
Çünkü ben değiştim, dönüştüm.
Because I have changed, I have transformed.
Duygularımı yönetmeyi öğrendim.
I have learned to manage my emotions.
Kendim için bir şeyler seçebilmeyi öğrendim.
I have learned to choose things for myself.
Now maybe you will say that love is something you cannot choose at all.
Ama yani evet ben de öyle düşünüyorum.
But I mean yes, I think so too.
Right now, maybe if I fell in love in another way, I might not be able to choose anything because the feelings would still be fresh.
So, I can really manage my feelings towards someone very well when I start to feel something.
Yani kendimi tamamen kaptırmıyorum.
So I'm not completely giving myself over.
Hayatımdaki hani şey arkadaşlarınızdan mutlaka görmüşsünüz.
You know that thing in my life that you've definitely seen from your friends.
Herkesin vardır.
Everyone has it.
İşte olmuştur böyle bir arkadaşı.
Here is such a friend.
Tamamen kendini böyle aşırı kaptıran, 7-24 onu düşünen, onun için sürekli ağlayan, her arkadaş ortamında onu anlatan falan filan.
Completely lost in it like this, thinking about it 24/7, constantly crying for it, talking about it in every friend circle, and so on.
I’m not like this at all in my current feelings or relationships.
Aksine keyfine varıyorum ki artık beğenebildiğim insanları gerçekten kendim seçiyorum.
On the contrary, I enjoy the fact that I can truly choose the people I like.
So it's not like I saw it for the first time and really liked one or something like that.
Yani benim beğendiğim insanlar zaten benim gibi insanlar oluyor.
So the people I like are already people like me.
Genelde doğayla barışık, iyimser, pozitif, işte güler yüzlü, enerjik, dost canlısı falan gibi insanlar ve beğeniyorum genelde.
I generally like people who are in harmony with nature, optimistic, positive, cheerful at work, energetic, friendly, and so on.
And liking these people or loving these people, I'm speaking very generally.
İnsanlar sanki birçok kişiyi aynamda seviyormuşum gibi oluyor.
It feels like I love many people in my mirror.
Ama hayır yani şu an anlatmaya çalıştığımız şey zaten öyle bir insanı sevmek bana zarar vermiyor.
But no, what we're trying to explain right now is that loving such a person doesn't harm me.
So loving such a person or liking such a person inspires me, on the contrary.
Yani çünkü şu anda beğendiğim, sevebildiğim insanı ben kendim seçiyorum.
So because right now, I am choosing the person I like and can love myself.
Ve onun hayatı olan bakış açısını, onun yaşam tarzını, onun fikirlerini, onun saygısını beğeniyorum.
And I admire his perspective, his lifestyle, his ideas, his respect that are his life.
But you see, it doesn't happen like this when you're little, unfortunately.
Çok şanslı hissediyorum kendimi biliyor musunuz?
I feel very lucky, you know?
Because I experienced this feeling at a very young age for the first time.
And I actually learned how to fight against this feeling.
And as I said, I am very lucky because, in the relationships I had when I was growing up, like during high school, I didn't do anything wrong in the feelings I experienced.
Yani tabii neye göre yanlış? Kime göre?
So of course, wrong according to what? According to whom?
I never did things that I would regret, things that would harm me, or relationships with the wrong person, with the wrong character.
So that's why I don't have a very big resentment in terms of relationships or feelings.
Because I have mostly been in constructive relationships like this.
And the biggest reason for this is that I have experienced this feeling very deeply before.
Ve bununla...
And with that...
I fought beautifully, I accepted it, I healed this inside me.
If I could love someone so much, actually after that, at the end of that period, in its conclusion, I began to love myself a lot, to love nature a lot, to love the world a lot, and to love all living beings a lot.
That's why I am grateful, I mean for experiencing such a feeling at a very young age.
Evet.
Yes.
Because I can fight with this, and because I can come out of this very strong.
Çok teşekkür ediyorum.
Thank you very much.
Ve tabii şunu da söylemek istiyorum.
And of course, I want to say this as well.
Yani şu anda 12 Temmuz 2024.
So right now it is July 12, 2024.
Tam 12 yıl önce ben şu an baktığım denize bakıyordum.
Exactly 12 years ago, I was looking at the sea I am looking at right now.
Ve zannedersem yine bu saatlerde.
And I think again at this hour.
Evet.
Yes.
O gün perşembe günü.
That day is Thursday.
Sunatsız fuck.
Unbelievable fuck.
günüydü ama bugün cuma günü.
It was the day, but today is Friday.
O anki deryanın
That moment's sea.
içinden geçenler, o anki
what passes through one's mind, at that moment
deryanın hayalleri,
the dreams of the sea,
hedefleri.
goals.
Yani gerçekten
So really.
şu an neredeyse aynı konumda
Right now, we are almost in the same position.
oturuyorum ama keşke şu anda ikimiz
I'm sitting here, but I wish we were both here right now.
yan yana oturabilseydik. Yani o anki
If we could sit side by side. I mean at that moment.
derya ile şu anki derya
the sea with the current sea
yan yana oturabilseydi ve
if they could sit side by side and
o deryaya çok destek olmak
to support that sea very much
isterdim. Bu arada çok güçlü bir
I would like to. Meanwhile, a very strong one.
derya. Çok güçlü ama
sea. Very strong but
tabii ki çok küçük de olduğu için
of course, because it is very small too
birazcık ne yapacağını
a little bit of what you will do
bilemiyor.
I don't know.
Ama şu anda
But right now
çok da küçük olmayan ve
not too small and
ondan sonrasında da
after that
bir sürü şey yaşayan bir derya var.
There is an ocean full of experiences.
Yani deryanın derya ablası var.
So, there is a sea sister of the sea.
Onun yanında olmak gerçekten çok
Being with him/her is really very...
isterdim.
I would want.
Ailevi
Familial
duygular, sorunlar olarak belki
feelings, perhaps as problems
daha da fazlasını yaşayacağını ama
that you will experience even more, but
hepsinden güçlükle çıkacağını,
that he will struggle to get out of all of them,
hiçbir şeyin imkansız olmadığını,
that nothing is impossible,
bu küçük
this is small
kasabaya tıkılıp kalmayacağını,
whether you will be stuck in the town,
hayallerinin, sınırlarının çok çok
the limits of your dreams are very, very
ötesine geçeceğini.
that you will go beyond.
Hep gözlerini kapattığında
Whenever you close your eyes
aslında ne olmak istiyorsun sorusuna
What do you actually want to be?
iyileştirici, dönüştürücü bir
healing, transformative a
insan olmak istiyorsun ve bunun
You want to be human and that…
bildiğin meslek grupları çok az
The professions you know are very few.
olduğu için
because it is
sınırlı meslekler
restricted professions
söyleyebiliyordum. Ama
I could say it. But
hep mesela gerçekten
always, for example, really
bir böyle yetimhane
a such orphanage
de çalışan işte
working at the job
böyle sosyal hizmet
such social service
sorumlusu gibi bir şey olmak çok
It feels very much like being the one responsible.
istediğim şeylerden biriydi.
It was one of the things I wanted.
Şu anda da sivil
Currently also civilian.
toplumcuyum. Yine iyileştirebilen,
I am a communal person. Again, someone who can heal,
dönüştürebilen, değiştirebilen
able to transform, able to change
bir meslek yapıyorum aslında.
I am actually doing a profession.
O yüzden
That's why.
çok şükür ediyorum buna.
I am very grateful for this.
Çünkü bu beni gerçekten çok
Because this really affects me a lot.
tatmin ediyor. Ve bunu
It satisfies. And it does this.
o kadar kalpten seviyorum, işimi
I love my job so deeply.
o kadar kalpten seviyorum ki
I love you so much from the bottom of my heart.
sanırım bu hayatta yaşadığım tüm
I think all that I have lived in this life
sorunlara rağmen
despite the problems
güçlü kalabilen,
able to remain strong,
ayakta kalabilen
able to stand up
insanların
of people
yaşamlarına öncülük
lead their lives
etmek demek ne kadar doğru olur ama
How accurate would it be to say "to do"?
bilmiyorum. Referans olabilmek
I don't know. To be a reference.
istiyorum gelecekte.
I want in the future.
Bu yüzden
That's why.
şu an yaptığım işte
what I am doing right now
ne kadar çok deneyim, ne kadar
how much experience, how much
çok insan, ne kadar çok şefkat,
so many people, how much compassion,
ne kadar çok iyilik
how much goodness
benim için o kadar güzel.
It’s so beautiful to me.
Bu kadar çok
So much.
aslında yeni fikirlerin,
actually, new ideas,
yeni doğuşların, yeni dönüşümlerin
new births, new transformations
çıktılarını
outputs
aslında
actually
cideye de yansıtabilmek istiyorum.
I want to be able to reflect it to the eye as well.
Çünkü burada şunu
Because of this here,
görebiliyorum. Burada çok fazla
I can see. There is too much here.
kırık kalpler var.
There are broken hearts.
Ama kendi
But itself
sınırlarında hapsolmuş kırık kalpler
broken hearts trapped within borders
bunlar. Bu
these. this
sınırlar illa sadece
Boundaries are only ever just.
yollarla aşılmıyor.
It cannot be overcome with roads.
Sadece
Only
bu sınırları
these boundaries
yaratmak için bambaşka bir
to create a completely different
toplumda olmak gerekmiyor.
It is not necessary to be in society.
Bizim tüm
All of ours
sınırsızlığımız kendi içimizde.
Our infinity is within ourselves.
Dünyanın bile bir sınırı var ama
Even the world has its limits, but...
bizim hayal gücümüz bence
I think our imagination.
dünyanın kendi
the world's own
sınırlarından çok daha
much more than your borders
büyük. Ve bu
big. And this
dünyadan daha büyük olan sınırsızlığımız
our boundlessness that is bigger than the world
hayal gücümüz aslında
our imagination actually
dünyayı sarıyor, iyileştiriyor ve dönüştürüyor.
It embraces the world, heals it, and transforms it.
Ben de
Me too.
aslında
actually
burada kendi sınırlarının
your own limits here
içine hapsolmuş bu kırık kalpleri
these broken hearts trapped inside
onarmak
to repair
belki çok büyük bir şey olabilir ama
maybe it could be something very big but
dokunmak çok isterim.
I would really like to touch.
Bunun için
For this reason
çok daha iyi bir noktada
at a much better point
kendimi, ailemi
myself, my family
sadece ailemi değil
not just my family
tüm herkesi
everyone
sadece kendi milletimi değil
not only my own nation
tüm dünyayı, tüm
the whole world, all
kırık kalpleri
broken hearts
tüm yaraları
all wounds
sarabileceğim
I can wrap.
işler yapabilmek, üretmek
to be able to do work, to produce
istiyorum.
I want.
Bana hep ilham olan
You have always inspired me.
bugüne kadar bana yol gösteren
those who have guided me until today
benim aslında
actually, mine
bugün burada olmamı sağlayan
making it possible for me to be here today
en
In
değerli insanlar CİDE'deki
valuable people in CİDE
öğretmenlerimdi.
They were my teachers.
Daha önce
Earlier
podcast bölümünde belki
maybe in the podcast episode
bahsetmişimdir 8. sınıfta
I mentioned it in the 8th grade.
Emre öğretmen vardı, Türkçe
There was a teacher named Emre, Turkish.
öğretmenim. Çok disiplinli
My teacher. Very disciplined.
bir öğretmendi ama bizim aramızda
He was a teacher, but among us.
çok ayrı bir bağ vardı.
There was a very special connection.
Hissederdi yani benim
I mean, he/she would feel me.
hayallerimi, duygularımı, hedeflerimi
my dreams, my feelings, my goals
hissederdi ve gözlerim
he would feel and my eyes
için öyle bir bakardı ki yani
He would look at it in such a way that I mean.
sen bunu bir şekilde yapacaksın
You will do this somehow.
der gibi bakardı.
He would look as if he were judging.
Ve hep şunu söylerdi.
And he/she would always say this.
Bir ortama girdiğiniz
When you enter an environment
zaman
time
biri
someone
eee
Umm...
size ismini soruyorsa
if he/she is asking your name
işte bu derdi çok önemli.
this issue is very important.
Yani size iki tane isim
So I will give you two names.
soruş şekli vardır. Bir senin isminle
There is a way of questioning. With your name only.
hani o kadar büyük bir merak
where is that great curiosity
bir de belki
maybe also
orada bir şey vardır
There is something there.
olumsuzluk. Hani senin isminle yani
negativity. I mean with your name, that is.
bu olumsuzluğu kim yapmış olabilir
Who could have caused this negativity?
gibi bir şekilde sorar derdim.
I would ask in a way like that.
Ben 8. sınıfı
I am in the 8th grade.
bitirdim İstanbul'a gittim.
I finished and went to Istanbul.
İşte 14-15 yaşından
Here, from the age of 14-15.
beri İstanbul'dayım.
I have been in Istanbul since then.
Ve
And
hem lise dönemimde hem üniversite dönemimde
both during my high school years and my university years
hem iş hayatımda hep öğretmen
I have always been a teacher in my professional life.
Emre öğretmenin
Emre's teacher
dediği gibi o çok yapıcı çok
As she said, she is very constructive, very.
merak eden ilham dolu
those who are curious are full of inspiration
senin ismin ne gibi sorular aldım.
I received questions like what is your name.
Hep de aklıma Emre öğretmen
I always think of Teacher Emre.
geldi.
he/she/it came.
Bir de Muharrem öğretmen vardı
There was also Teacher Muharrem.
müzik öğretmeni. İşte bu CİDE'deki
music teacher. Here is this in CİDE
herkesin sanatçılığını aslında
everyone's artistry actually
yaratan öğretmendir Muharrem öğretmen.
The creator is the teacher, Teacher Muharrem.
Herkese tek tek
To everyone one by one
müzik öğrettim.
I taught music.
Binlerce kişiden oluşan
Consisting of thousands of people
bu küçücük ilçede kendi imkanlarıyla
in this tiny district with its own means
korolar yaptım.
I made choirs.
Belki bilirsiniz
Maybe you know.
Atatürk Marşı diye bir
There is a song called the Atatürk March.
marş var. Aslında
There is a march. Actually
bu yani özel günlerde
this means on special days
milli bayramlarda
on national holidays
çok fazla duyabileceğiniz bir şarkı.
A song that you can hear a lot.
Atatürk Çocuklarıyız
We are Atatürk's children.
adı. O şarkının
Its name. That song's
yazarı Muharrem Hoca
the author Muharrem Hoca
ve aslında
and actually
şarkının sözleri de
the lyrics of the song too
nakaratta CİDE Çocuklarıyız
We are the children of Cide in the chorus.
Atatürk Çocuklarıyız diye devam ediyor.
We are the children of Atatürk, it continues.
Ama
But
şarkı şu anda yani
the song is right now that is
müzik ülkenin
the music of the country
her yerinde tüm öğretmenler
all the teachers everywhere
tüm öğrenciler tarafından söyleniyor.
It is being said by all the students.
O yüzden CİDE Çocuklarıyız
That's why we are the children of CİDE.
demiyorlar tabii ki de.
Of course they are not saying that.
Böyle
Like this
sanatçılı bir yerde büyüdüm yani
I grew up in a place full of artistry, meaning.
gerçekten
really
çok fazla şey yaptım.
I did a lot of things.
Hatta aslında şöyle söyleyeyim
In fact, let me put it this way.
ilkokuldan
from primary school
biz
we
o sınıfımla yani
That class of mine then.
ilkokuldaki sınıfımla
with my class in elementary school
tiyatroyu çok severdik
We loved the theater very much.
ve her çarşamba günü
and every Wednesday
ne dersiydi rehberlik dersi mi
Was it the guidance course?
bir şey dersi vardı şu an
There was a class about something right now.
hatırlamıyorum. Biz o
I don't remember. We that
derste her çarşambaya
every Wednesday in class
tiyatro hazırlardık.
We would prepare a theater.
Hatta biz o kadar
In fact, we are that much.
bunu resmiyete dökerdik yani
We would formalize this, I mean.
o kadar içten yapardık ki
We would do it so sincerely.
bir gün tam
one day exactly
gerçek yapmak için hiç öğretmenimizin
to actually do it, our teacher never showed us.
haberi yok. Biz toplandık
He/She has no idea. We gathered.
o sınıf olarak
as that class
ekip olarak belediyeye gittik
We went to the municipality as a team.
belediyeden kostüm
costume from the municipality
istedik yani ücretsiz bir şekilde
We wanted it for free.
zaten paramız pulumuz yok
We don't have any money or resources anyway.
üçüncü sınıf öğrencisiyiz
We are third grade students.
kostüm istedik ve
we asked for a costume and
kostümlerimizi giyip tiyatro yaptık
We put on our costumes and performed a play.
sonra öğretmenimiz
then our teacher
baktık biz her hafta tiyatro yapıyoruz
We realized that we are performing theater every week.
her hafta metin yazıyoruz falan
We write texts every week and so on.
belediyeyle
with the municipality
konuşup aslında
actually talking
yerel belediyeye
to the local municipality
bir tiyatro yapmamızı
to do a theater play
sağladı. O zaman
provided. At that time
tüm cide bizi izlemeye gelmiş
Everyone from Cide has come to watch us.
hiç unutmuyorum
I never forget.
hatta daha profesyonel
even more professional
olması için de bizi bir öğretmenle
to have a teacher with us
çalıştırmıştı
had employed
hatta
even
manilerle ilgili bir oyun oynamıştık
We played a game related to manis.
yani manilerle
so with couplets
geçiyordum
I was passing.
onun dışında ben
besides me
yatılı okulda okurken
while studying at a boarding school
işte resimle tanıştım
Here I met the picture.
buradaki resim öğretmeni
the teacher in the picture here
yatılı okuyan
boarding student
öğrenciler için
for students
haftada işte bir saat falan
About one hour at work per week.
yağlı boya dersleri veriyordum
I was giving oil painting lessons.
orada o kadar sevdim ki
I loved there so much.
böyle renkli renkli tabloları
such colorful paintings
yani o boyanın kokusunu
that is, the smell of that paint
sonra lisede resim okudum
Then I studied art in high school.
zaten biliyorsunuz
You already know.
hiç unutmuyorum ben lisede resim
I never forget, I had art in high school.
okurken boya kokularıyla
with the smells of paint while reading
uyuyakalırdım gerçekten
I would really fall asleep.
ve o kadar alışmıştım ki buna
and I had become so accustomed to it.
beni hiç rahatsız etmezdi
It never bothered me.
çok umutluyum
I am very hopeful.
çok gururluyum
I am very proud.
bence her şey hayatında olması
I think everything should be in your life.
gerektiği gibi olmuş
It has turned out as it should.
bundan sonrası için bence
I think for what comes next.
benim için çok daha kolay çünkü
it's much easier for me because
bir şeyler az çok
more or less something
rayına oturdu
settled into its course
tabi hayat bu yani öyle şeyler
Of course, that's life, these kinds of things happen.
yaşadık ki bugüne kadar ya da
we have lived until today or
öyle şeyler yaşayacağız ki
We will experience things like that.
devam edecek bilemeyiz
We cannot know if it will continue.
ama güç çok önemli
but power is very important
bir şey
something
sevmek çok önemli
Loving is very important.
bir şey aslında
actually something
hani hep deriz ya
you know how we always say
en çok da kendini sevmek
most of all, loving oneself
hayır en çok da kendini sevmek
No, most of all, loving yourself.
falan önemli değil
it doesn't matter or something like that
en çok da dünyayı doğayı
most of all the world, nature
aslında en çok da
actually the most
evreni sevmek güneşi
to love the universe is to love the sun
sevmek işte bu denizi
to love this sea
sevmek şu anda uyuyor musunuz bilmiyorum
I don't know if you are sleeping right now.
bunları en çok sevdikten
after loving these the most
sonrası zaten sevginin
after that, it is already love's
en güzeli sizinle olmaya
The best thing is to be with you.
devam ediyor
it continues
bilmiyorum
I don't know.
ben çok mutluyum
I am very happy.
yaşadığım için yaşayabildiğim için
because I can live since I am alive
her ne olursa olsun
no matter what happens
şu an
right now
babamlayım yıllar sonra
I'm with my dad after years.
daha önceki
previous
bölümlerinden biliyorsunuz
You know from the episodes.
bir anda her şey bitmişti
Everything was suddenly over.
İstanbul'da evim gitmişti
My home in Istanbul was gone.
ailem gitmişti
my family had gone
ben hayal kurmuştum ama ve
I had daydreamed, but...
her şey güzelleşmişti
Everything had become beautiful.
bir anda
suddenly
şimdi onların gittikleri yerlerden
now from the places they have gone to
geldim çocukluğuma
I have returned to my childhood.
geldim babamlayım
I came, I'm with my father.
babamın ailesiyleyim
I am with my father's family.
eski
old
arkadaşlarımlayım
I'm with my friends.
eski anılarımın olduğu yerdeyim
I am at the place where my old memories are.
aslında ve
actually and
burada güneş o kadar güzel doğuyor
The sun rises so beautifully here.
o kadar güzel batıyor ki
It sets so beautifully.
çünkü burada
because here
çok az şey var en çok
There are very few things at most.
yani
that is, so
dikkat çeken şey dağ ve deniz
The striking thing is the mountain and the sea.
burası dağ ve denizden
This is from the mountain and the sea.
oluşan bölge
formed area
dağların ve denizlerin
of mountains and seas
böyle kesiştiği noktadan
from such a point of intersection
doğup batıyor güneş
the sun is rising and setting
bu da muazzam bir tutkum
this is also an immense passion of mine
bu podcast bölümüne
to this podcast episode
ilk başladığımda
when I first started
karanlık bir depoda
in a dark warehouse
küçücük bir cama karşı
against a tiny window
telefonumu
my phone
büyük su bardağım üstüne
on top of my large water glass
koyarak başlamıştım
I had started by putting it down.
hayallerim vardı o zamanda
I had dreams back then.
acılarım vardı
I had my pains.
ama yavaş yavaş bir şeyler
but slowly something is happening
yapmaya iyileşmeye
to do to heal
kendimi sevmeye
to love myself
dünyayı sevmeye başlamıştım
I had started to love the world.
şu anda da
right now too
tamamen
completely
iyileştiğim bir dönemdeyim galiba
I think I am in a period of recovery.
her şeyin
of everything
en güzel olduğu dönemdeyim
I am in the period when I am at my most beautiful.
şu anda karanlık bir depoda değilim
I am not in a dark warehouse right now.
kumların üstündeyim
I am on the sand.
elimde sevdiğim
in my hand, the one I love
bir
one
içki, karşımda deniz
drink, the sea in front of me
güneşin batışı
sunset
dalgalar
waves
buyum ben yani gerçekten
I am big, I mean really.
doğanın
of nature
içindeyim böyle en dibindeyim
I'm in it, I'm at the very bottom.
yani burada böyle
so here it is like this
yaşayabilirim sonsuzca
I can live endlessly.
sınırsızca
limitlessly
kapatırken şunları söylemek
I would like to say the following while closing.
istiyorum aslında bence
I actually want it, I think.
sevmek çok güzel
Loving is very beautiful.
birini de sevmek çok güzel
Loving someone is very beautiful.
ama
but
işte onu
here it is
dönüştürmek
to convert
onun
his/hers/its
yaratıcılığını kullanmak
to use one's creativity
ondan ilham almak çok değerli
It is very valuable to take inspiration from it.
herhangi bir
anyone
şeyi çok sevip
loving it a lot
kendinizin
yourself
kendinizden daha fazla önemli
more important than yourself
kılmak bu çok acımasızca
Doing this is very ruthless.
sevgi
love
size ilham vermeli
It should inspire you.
sizi
you
iyiliğe sürükleyebilmeli
It should be able to lead to goodness.
size iyi
you good
gelebilmeli
must be able to come
size kötü hissettirmemeli
It shouldn't make you feel bad.
diye düşünüyorum
I think so.
ben
I
Deryan şu an 24
Derya is currently 24.
yaşındayım
I am that old.
bugün 12 Temmuz 2024
Today is July 12, 2024.
kesinlikle bugün 12 Temmuz 2012
It is definitely today, July 12, 2012.
değil
not
tam 12 yıl sonra
exactly after 12 years
24 yaşında
24 years old
olmam gereken
I should be.
en güzel yerdeyim
I am in the most beautiful place.
bir sonraki bölümde
in the next chapter
görüşmek üzere
