The work that Nilüfer Municipality has done so far plays a role in the flood of modernity with its perspective and stance on every issue that affects the agenda on climate issues.

2020 yılı tarım yılı.

The year 2020 is an agricultural year.

2021 yılı gıda yılı.

2021 is the year of food.

22 yılını iklim yılı olarak değerlendirdiniz.

You evaluated 22 years as the year of climate.

Bu tematik yılların nedenini sorarak başlamak istiyoruz.

We want to start by asking the reason for these thematic years.

Evet aslında biz 2019 yılında seçildikten sonra arkadaşlarımızla yapmış olduğumuz o değerlendirmelerde her yılımızda mutlak surette yapabileceğimiz çalışmalarla ilgili bir tema oluşturma fikri hep beraber doğmuştu.

Yes, actually, after we were elected in 2019, during the evaluations we conducted with our friends, the idea of creating a theme related to the works we could definitely do every year was born together.

Tabii Nilüfer yerleşim alanlarıyla, modern yapılaşmasıyla, kentleşmesiyle farklı bir noktadaydı.

Of course, Nilüfer was at a different point with its residential areas, modern structures, and urbanization.

Boz Bey'in de getirmiş olduğu o vizyonla beraber Türkiye'de bilinen bu anlamda sanat, kültür, spor ve birçok alanda bilinen bir kent vizyonunu ortaya koymuştu.

With the vision that Boz Bey brought, he had presented a well-known city vision in Turkey in terms of art, culture, sports, and many other areas.

Ama bizim aynı zamanda tarım alanlarımız da vardı.

But we also had our agricultural lands.

Bir taraftan baktığımızda kentleşme varken kırsal alanlarımız, tarımla uğraşan çiftçilerimizin olduğunu da biliyorduk.

On one hand, we knew that while there was urbanization, we also had rural areas with farmers engaged in agriculture.

We also want to create awareness about this and return to agriculture, to the land, to farmers again.

To ensure the meeting that took place, we focused on agriculture during our first year and evaluated aspects related to the rural area.

We made efforts to establish the relationships between the rural areas and the city.

Because there was a disconnection there, there really was.

Of course, after that process, after the agricultural year, and really the work and communication we have done in that rural area,

ki gördük ki hemen bir pandemi başladı ve dünyada başka bir evreye doğru girdiğimizi fark ettik.

We saw that a pandemic started immediately and we realized that we were entering another phase in the world.

So it's a good thing we have been involved in agriculture, and it's a good thing we discussed the value and importance of agriculture with our citizens there that year.

Ama hemen arkasından sınırlar kapanınca, her şey durunca dünyada birden gıdayla ilgili bir eksiklik olduğunu fark ettik.

But right after the borders closed and everything stopped, we suddenly realized that there was a shortage of food in the world.

So, access to food means gathering when the borders are closed.

Toplumlar başka bir alanda uğraş verdiğinde gıdaya ulaşımlarına kadar zorluklarla karşı karşıya kaldığımızı gördük.

We have seen that when societies engage in another area, they face difficulties even in accessing food.

Tabii bir de sağlıklı gıda tabii.

Of course, healthy food too.

Bunun içerisinde sağlıklı gıdanın nasıl elde edilebilmesinin vatandaşlarımız tarafından da bilinmesi gerektiğini düşünerek 2021 yılında da gıda yılı olarak yaptık.

Considering that our citizens should also know how to obtain healthy food, we declared 2021 as the year of food.

Tabii bizim bir taraftan kooperatifimiz vardı ve o kooperatifi biraz daha faal hale getirdik.

Of course, we had a cooperative on one side and we made that cooperative a bit more active.

Atatoğumlarının çoğaltılması konusunda ve bunun yaygınlığı.

The propagation of atatürk's ideals and its prevalence.

Yaygınlaştırılması konusundaki farkındalığımızı bütün arkadaşlarımızla beraber toplumu anlatmaya çalıştık.

We tried to communicate our awareness about its widespread dissemination to the society together with all our friends.

Kent bostanları kurduk.

We established urban gardens.

Kentin ortasında sebze üretmeye, vatandaşlarımızla beraber toprakla buluşup o gıdaları, gübre, siz daha doğrusu ne diyelim kimyasal herhangi bir katkı olmadan sağlıklı gıdaya ulaşılmanın mümkün olduğunu göstermeye çalıştık.

We tried to demonstrate that it is possible to produce vegetables in the middle of the city, to meet with the soil together with our citizens, and to reach healthy food without any chemical additives, fertilizers, or any other such contributions.

Derken kendi alanlarımızda ve kooperatifimize devrettiğimiz alanlarda da tarımla ilgili.

Meanwhile, in the areas we have transferred to our cooperative and in our own fields, it is also related to agriculture.

Yani gıdayla ilgili çalışmaları yaptık.

So we conducted studies related to food.

Bir taraftan da bununla pazarlanması, işte kadın dernekleriyle beraber, köylerdeki kadın derneklerini güçlendirerek onların yapmış olduğu ürünleri,

On the one hand, marketing this, together with women's associations, by empowering the women's associations in villages with the products they have made,

sağlıklı ürünleri de vatandaşlarımızla buluşturmak için Nülüfer Bostan adını vermiş olduğumuz satış mağazaları da oluşturduk.

We have also established sales stores named Nülüfer Bostan to bring healthy products together with our citizens.

Bunlardan şu anda 5-6 adedi faal durumda.

Currently, 5-6 of them are in active condition.

Yenileri de zaten hemen arkasından geliyor.

The new ones are already coming right after.

Oldukça ilgi gördü ve bu gıda yılını da 2021'de bu şekilde tanımladık.

It received quite a lot of interest, and we defined this food year in 2021 in this way.

Ama asıl sorun aslında bütün dünyanın da etkisini alan iklim değişikliği üzerine olan bir sorundu.

But the main problem was actually a question about climate change, which affects the whole world as well.

Bu aslında yatsınamaz ve hemen hızlı bir şekilde başlanması ve bununla ilgili yapılması gereken bir mücadele idi.

This was, in fact, an undeniable struggle that needed to be started quickly and actions related to it needed to be taken.

2022 bu anlamda bizi iklim yılı olarak bir tema oluşturmak konusunda zaten bütün dünya bunun üzerineydi ama biz artık daha hızlı bir şekilde bunun farkına varmalıydık.

2022 was already a theme year for us in terms of climate, as the whole world was focused on this, but we should have realized this more quickly.

Çünkü Türkiye'de de her ne kadar işte Paris Anlaşması'na imza atsanız da küresel anlaşmalara imza atsanız da bütün dünyada bu işi yapmazsa ve birlikte mücadele etmezse bu konuyla ilgili yapabilecek çok fazla bir şey değil.

Because even if you sign the Paris Agreement and global agreements in Turkey, if the whole world does not take action and fight together on this issue, there is not much that can be done regarding it.

Ama biz yine de Nülüfer olarak bir deniz yıldızı ya da o konuda bir kum tanesi gibi de düşünülerek bu anlamdaki çalışmaları yapmak için bir start aldık.

But we still took a start as Nülüfer to undertake such efforts, thinking of ourselves as a starfish or a grain of sand in that sense.

During the year Mr. Önder provided us consultancy, we accomplished very important work.

One of the topics of today is actually climate, but I might have extended it a bit with things related to the process, yet it is a study that continues by connecting and interacting with each other, and we have come to today with concepts and visions of years.

We have now completed this year along with very beautiful works in the climate year.

2023 bizim için yeni bir yıl, yeni bir anlayış, yeni bir bakış, yeni bir dönüşüm diye baktığımızda onun için yeni bir vizyonla tekrar yakın zamanda seyircilerimizle bir araya olup geleceğiz.

Yes, of course, we are aware that we declared this climate yearbook and that many municipalities, not just us, are also working in this direction. We are following these efforts.

7 belediye başkanıyla ki ilk Karşıyaka belediye başkanı Cemil Tugay'ın öncülüğünde başladı.

It started with 7 mayors, led by the first mayor of Karşıyaka, Cemil Tugay.

It started with his idea to go ahead and do it.

Şu ana kadar 4 toplantı.

So far, 4 meetings.

4 yaptık işte bunların içerisinde Karşıyaka daha sonra Tepebaşı Nülüfer olarak sonra Bodrum.

We did 4, among these Karşıyaka, then Tepebaşı, Nülüfer, and then Bodrum.

Şimdi Seyhan'da yapacağız 11 Şubat'ta muhtemelen Şişli ve Karşıyaka diyorum Kadıköy belediyeleriyle beraber bu süreci devam ettirmeye çalışacağız.

Now we will do it in Seyhan, probably on February 11th, I am saying Şişli and Karşıyaka, we will try to continue this process together with the municipalities of Kadıköy.

Of course, other municipalities also tried to join us in this regard and aimed to be a part of these efforts.

These studies we have conducted are of course being documented as well.

On the one hand, there are studies conducted in all districts, in local areas, and in different regions.

Every side has a different feature in this sense.

We need to develop and maintain a single form of action as the whole world.
